@rico kim “Oh, well, I’ll have to check them our and maybe ask what they believe wouldn’t be as painful and would suit me best.” he commented. “Yes, your tattoos~” he agreed with a nod. “Well, they suit you, sir!” As Doyoon heard the other’s belly, it earned a small chuckle that escaped his lips. The younger male agreed as he made sure to close everything and turn off the lights. He grabbed his keys and lead the other outside to lock the doors behind. “Please lead the way~”
@park doyoon "I heard there are two. Only met one," he referred to the pretty tattoo artist, Altair, "I'd choose shoulder. Hmm what is?" Rico raised a quizzical eyebrow at the question, "you meant my tattoos? Can't really choose. I like all of them," the evident colour earned the other an amused smile. Suddenly his stomach rumbled for the second time, then a hand gestured for the door, his smile lingered, "then shall we?"
@rico kim “Ah! Know any good tattoo artists around here?” he asked, curiously. “Maybe I could get a tiny one on my back, thigh or shoulder.” he added and his lips parted as he saw the other tattoos. “Oh, you have a lot! Which one do you prefer?” he asked, curiously. His cheeks turned a bit redder at the comment. Did he hear that right? “Ramen is nice and simple! Sure~”
@park doyoon "True. It can be scary. Try getting a simple and small one for your first," he then nodded, but only showed Doyoon the one by the side of his right neck, and the one on his left hand, "these are some of it," eyes flickered on the other again, noticing the bashfulness, "cute," he commented then glanced outside as he pondered on what to get, "I'm down for anything- how about ramen?"
@park doyoon Jungkook let out a small light chuckle as he brought his gaze from the variety of books over towards Doyoon. "That's understandable I know a lot of people tend to not like horror. I'm just a bit big on horror sometimes." He admitted as he brought his free hand up to brush his hair back from his features. "Oh I would think true crime and mystery would go hand in hand. Any favorite mystery books? I may have to check one out and maybe next time I come to the library let you know how I liked it?" He suggested his head lolling to the side slightly while sending the latter a smile. Jungkook couldn't help being curious after all was curiosity ever a bad thing? "Can I ask how long you've been a librarian? I imagine you have quite the appreciation for books which I don't blame you. Feels like now a days with 'technology' I sound like such a grandpa." He let out a rather sheepish chuckle as he brought his hand up to rub the nape of his neck. "But anyway my point is people really tend to do a lot of their reading on either their tablets or kindles. Which is nice but I find having a physical book and being able to turn the page much more satisfying and don't get me started on the smell of a book it's fantastic." he spoke while taking a glance down at the book he was holding just to take in the cover.
@rico kim “Oh, I do not yet. I am a bit... scared of needles and the pain, but I would like to have one perhaps in the future.” he commented. “Do you have many others?” he questioned, curiously. Doyoon was a bit surprised by the other’s question, smiling at him as he thought about the request and rubbed his neck, a bit shy. “Sure! I won’t refuse food.” he added, bowing his head at Rico. “Well, what kind of food do you like to eat?”
@park doyoon The other's hand was given a gentle shook, "thank you. Do you have one as well?" His tone curious, hand retracted to the side, his smile lingered, "by the way, do you have plans after this? If not then, would you care to join me for dinner? As a token of gratitude," Rico originally wanted to have dinner at home but due to being stuck in a twenty minutes meeting; his stomach had started rumbling and the sound was audible enough for Doyoon to hear. Instead of getting embarassed by it, Rico laughed it off and patted his stomach, "any reccomendations?"
@rico kim Doyoon shyly smiled back in return as he met the other man’s eyes for a moment and then tried to focus on his tasks. He had to admit that this man was handsome. He tried to give the other as much privacy as possible as he fixed a few books that were on the counter. Noticing that Rico had finished his meeting, Doyoon glanced back up and saw him approaching the counter. “Oh, it is no problem. Rico? Nice to meet you. I’m Doyoon.” he introduced himself and leaned in to shake the other’s hand. He noticed the tattoos and smiled at the sight. “I like your tattoos by the way.”
@park doyoon Since Rico was seated facing the counter, he caught the librarian eyes on him a few times that he couldn't help but to avert his gaze and sent him a smile, "so when is Mr. Nakamura's flight?" He turned to face the screen again, speaking to two people - his wife and Mr. Nakamura - the manager for Wineport's branch. The meeting wrapped up after twenty minutes. Rico could be seen rolling his eyes and snorting in response to his wife's playful remark before both of them signed off. Quickly, he packed his bag and went over to the other with a grateful smile, "thank you again. I'm Rico Kim by the way, pleasure to meet you," an inked hand reached out for a handshake.
@rico kim “No problem, sir!” he said, politely and bowed his head. He then turned off his computer as he had finished the inventory for now. Doyoon couldn’t help but to steal a few glances in the other man’s direction, admiring him from a distance as he wondered who he was. He hadn’t seen him in the library before. Although the man seemed a bit serious at first, he seemed polite and smiled at him,
@park doyoon "Thank you," with a bow and a smile, Rico went to a nearby table and quickly set up his laptop. Fortunately his attire could pass for a meeting - a grey sweater over a white dress shirt. The parted bangs fixed to look more presentable, a pair of glasses aiding his sight wiped clean. "Can we make this quick? The library is closing down," Rico started as soon as he put on a pair of wireless earpieces on.
@jeon jungkook Doyoon pointed to a few of the books that he was talking about that they had in stock and let his fingertips brush against a few of the covers and spines of some of the prettiest editions. “We have some newer editions and also, vintage. And no, I haven’t so far. I actually tend to read other genres a bit more and less horror.” he said and rubbed the back of his neck. “Although, I have read a few Stephen King novels.” he replied. “But I tend to prefer mystery, historical fiction, supernatural/fantasy and non-fiction.” he told him with a soft smile, leaning against one of the bookshelves, carefully.
@park doyoon Jungkook was quick to follow after the latter as he motioned for him to do exactly that. He listened attentively keeping note of the books that were brought up vaguely recalling some of the books. “The devil you know sounds strangely familiar maybe I should take a look at that again. Have you read it before?” He asked in curiosity while bringing his hands into his coat pocket for a moment as his gaze came to the latter. “Doyoon? I will remember that. Nice to meet you as well.” He smiled while bringing one of his hands out of his pocket for a quick handshake. “As for Dracula I believe I’ve read I however don’t believe I’ve read Frankenstein just yet though might have to be the next book I check out.” he muttered while taking a quick look at the books and books shelves surrounding them. “I hope you don’t mind me asking, what is the genre you tend to read?” He asked softly while taking a quick look at the books, his fingers tracing over the spine of the books before stopping on one, he pulled it out rather carefully now bringing it into his hands.
@jeon jungkook Doyoon’s eyes remained on the other male, watching curiously as his eyes closed. At his question, it was the younger’s turn to lean against the counter as he wondered what he could suggest. He didn’t read a lot of horror novels, but true crime could be interesting. “Mm, let’s see what we have.” he commented as he motioned the other over with his hand and led him to the area where those two genres of novels were. “Well, Stephen King’s novels are a classic. I do enjoy fiction crime/detective books like Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holme’s, but true crime... there are Zodiac, All That Remains, The Art Thief, The Devil You know...” he suggested. “And I mean Dracula and Frankenstein are classics in literature.” he added. He turned to face the other as he heard his introduction. “I’m Doyoon! Nice to meet you and happy to help~”
@park doyoon At the question Jungkook took a moment to think about it, his eyes closing shut for a moment as if to figure out exactly what he’d be in the mood for. “Well usually I tend to read a lot horror or true crime those tend to grab my attention. Do you think you’d be able to suggest anything in those type of genres?” He asked softly making sure to keep his voice a bit on the quieter side after all this was a library. “I’m Jungkook by the way I’m pretty sure we may be seeing each other more often. I actually just moved back into town.” He sent the latter a smile a bit of him rather hopeful that maybe this could turn into a friendship they did seem around the same age. Seeing Jungkook was bound to be back in the library to check out other books developing a friendship with someone he’d see often wouldn’t be a bad idea after all they seemed very nice.
@rico kim Doyoon was surprised as he noticed someone coming in, blinking a few times as he heard the older male’s words. He tilted his head a bit, noticing the bag, but then made a quick hand motion to show that he could come in and sit at a table. He flashed the other a welcoming smile and went back to cleaning around and helping customers in need, not minding if the other customer stayed in a bit longer for the meeting.
@jeon jungkook Doyoon had heard some footsteps nearby that indicated that a few people had come into the bookstore. He didn’t mind customers coming in at this hour as the want to read and get new books could hit at any moment. As he rose his head and noticed the guy standing there and leaning against the counter, the male offered the taller one a shy smile. He seemed around his age, but was orphans a bit older and he was a bit taller than Doyoon. The library worker hummed in thought and rubbed his chin as he heard his request. “Mm, well, what is your favourite genre?”
@park doyoon Rico had an abrupt video call meeting in fifteen minutes. Luckily he had his laptop with him as he had to do some work at a cafe earlier. Before heading home, Rico thought of going for a stroll around town. When his phone notified of an incoming text message that reads 'video call meeting' from his wife, Rico quickly turned to the library, fortunate that he was nearby and that the library was still opened, "excuse me, sir? My apologies I know it's closing time soon but I have an urgent meeting to attend-" a black leather laptop bag lifted, referring to a virtual meeting, "I'll try and make it quick."
@park doyoon Jungkook's gaze wandered around the library taking in the beauty of the books as well as the book cases. The library was rather beautiful at least to him it was he always had an appreciation when it came to books and literature. On his busy schedules between the smalls breaks he would always take the time he was given to read whatever book he was hooked on that week. He brought his hand into his coat pocket to pull out his phone pressing the button top left to check the time. He was aware the library would close soon but he definitely wanted to check out one book to read however with the short amount of time he had he couldn't decide on what to read. Jungkook's eyes lit up as they saw a figure at the front desk his steps bringing him towards the desk figure this would be the best solution. "Excuse me, I hope you don't mind me asking. But could you maybe give me a book recommendation? I'll honestly read anything I just want something to read for the next few days. Maybe your favorite book?" He suggested while leaning slightly against the counter, a rather soft yet friendly smile settled on his lips.
as he finished dusting off the library shelves, doyoon let out a small yawn and peeked down at his wrist to look at his watch. it was almost closing time and the evening had not been very busy at the library today. the short male made his way behind the counter to count the cash and he looked at the computer, seeing a few new emails about new books that would soon arrive. he was excited to visit some markets to get some old or secondhand books for himself- his own bookshelf - or to share here with the customers.
