t h e d i n e r ||

The girl listened to the two others until she heard footsteps leading to the faint ding of the bell above the door. Presuming that the two girls had left, she came out from her hiding place, not bothering with trying to cover the squeak in the door. Had the stranger from the diner come back yet? Hopefully he had, and hopefully he had Kevin with him.

Eunhyuk watched the two females from behind a corner, his first instincts to protect what's left of the food he discovered after another survivor stole some. His arms wrapped around the bag, his mind wandered to the other survivor he was supposed to find, there were no signs of him in the diner. He must have made a run for it after the incident with the bandit.

When the commotion had broken out in the main area of the diner, Yeonju had the sense to hide herself. Not that she couldn't take on the two girls - she knew she could - but at the moment she was at a disadvantage. She twisted a knob on the door at the back of the kitchen hoping that a) it would be unlocked and b) it didn't make any noise if she did open it. Hopefully, it was unlocked, but there was a slight creek in the door. This could become a problem.

"S-son Gain.." I whispered, cursing myself for the slight stutter.

I barged in and without thinking, grabbed a bunch of food, stuffed them in my bag and ran back out. I needed to find some medicine, and bandages.

@Gain "Name." I said, eyes like steel.

@CL I stood up hesitantly and raised my hands up. "H-hi.." i mumbled shakily.

@Gain "Come out with your hands up!" I called out, hoping it would flush them out.

@CL I jumled back at the sudden movement from the stranger and hid behind a bar stool. I let out a small, embarrassing, squeak when my knee came in contact with a broken tile.

@Gain Hearing the crack, I instantly got up and hid behind the wall, pulling out my magnum and cocking it, ready to blast away anything that came past.

Gain slowly crept into the diner, scared out of her mind. Most of the survivors are so brave and experienced but she, herself, has yet to come close to killing any zombies. Se peeked her head in and looked around. "Seems empty.." she whispered before walking in fully. She took her knives out of het knee length leather boots and walked around the diner, looking around side to side. She stopped when she caught sight of a figure. It looked human, but you can never be too sure. She took a tentive step back, ready to flee, when she stepped on a shard of glass. The crack shattered the silence in the near empty diner.

Eunhyuk slowly approached the door, his crossbow pointed straight. In a swift movement, he kicked the door in, immediately stepping back in case there was a walker stuck in there. As there were no signs of life in there, he cautiously pushed the door open fully. "Holy ..." He breathed out as he was greeted with shelves upon shelves of food. He immediately piled as much as he could into the bags he could find, this must have been his lucky day. He dragged the bags of food back into the main diner, his arms aching slightly, carrying his crossbow in his mouth. Dropping his crossbow on top of the bags, Eunhyuk called out. "Yah! You said you wanted food, right?"

Yeonju had passed out - she didn't know how long she had been out, but it couldn't have been more than five minutes - which leads her to wonder where Kevin had gone so quickly. It's possible that he went back to wherever he lived to pick up his belongings, maybe even left them all together.
She scavenges through the cupboards whilst trying to make as little noise as possible. This wasn't like her at all, but she hoped that the strange man from the diner would let her half the food if Kevin came back. And if he didn't, maybe a few cans. That's all she'd need.

Eunhyuk had no idea who he was looking for, he didn't want to ask as he new it would somehow cause an arguement. He strolled down the corridor, crossbow loaded and aimed at the door at the very end. Although he had been in the diner for a while, he hadn't checked the place for walkers fully. Either this could be the back door of the diner, or a storeroom filled with living dead people.

/Arrogant bastard/, she thinks before turning to another cupboard, but found it empty. She wondered how long the man had been hiding in here. If the kitchen had been packed with food when he arrived, then he's certainly been here for a while. Maybe since the start of the breakout. Does that mean he had planned everything out before it happened? She scoffs, sick bastard.

Does that mean he had planned everything out before it happened? She scoffs, sick bastard.

"Well, I'll just go get him then." Eunhyuk scoffed, leaving the kitchen to find the other stranger. "This was a bad idea" He mumbled to himself.

"As if you didn't see! No, he didn't. He's probably down there somewhere," she said, referring to the long corridor next to the kitchen.

"Did the bandit get him?" He asked, not really liking her attitude towards him.

"I don't know, I passed out." She didn't like him, he watches her too much.

"The storeroom was way too small to fit everything they needed inside" He followed her into the kitchen, making sure she wouldn't start stealing food. "Where's that friend of yours then, hmm?" Eunhyuk leant against the door frame, watching his 'guests' every move.

She was skeptical for a second, "An attic? In a diner?"
She tested the weight on her leg and decided that the pain would now be bearable. She limped, ever so slowly, into the mini kitchen situated next to an unlit corridor. She found a can of beans and opened it without asking. It was the least he could offer.

"Well, aren't you just a ray of sunshine." He remarked "There's a few cans of food in the back, I haven't had chance to check up in the attic" He wasn't sure about telling her this, as he didn't know if she could be trusted. He did it anyways.

"Oh haha, very cute." She says sarcastically, still slightly groggy. If only he hadn't have shot her in the leg and let them into the diner sooner, she wouldn't have had to give up her food. "You better have some frickin' food."

He dug his knife further into her thigh, pulling out the arrow tip and placing it down beside him. Covering her wound in some bandages he found in a cupboard, he started patching her up, putting pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding. "Sorry about this, I thought you were a geek." Eunhyuk looked at the woman, taping her bandage down.

When her eyes open again, she's inside the diner. She feels drowsy, but can feel a distinct stabbing feeling in her right thigh. Her head rolls, and there she sees the man who had shot her, cutting into the skin of her leg with a small blade. She didn't make any arguments, only hoped that he'd at least cleaned it first.

He watched the scene outside from behind the counter, just one word popping into his head. 'Bandits.'As the bandit walked away, he hesitantly raised his crossbow, aiming between the bandits shoulder blades and shooting. He ducked behind the counter, not wanting the bandit to realize it was him.

Eunhyuk slammed his crossbow against the counter, cursing himself for his lack of accuracy. "Goddamnit." He watched both figures intently, making sure they would make their way towards him and the diner. The diner had been his second home before the apocalypse, he wasn't prepared to let anyone ruin the one place he had left.

Eunhyuk sat alone in the diner, he had been for countless hours now. He often glanced out the window to what used to be a lively highway, somewhere now as dead as its inheritants. Eunhyuk glanced once again out at the highway, his eyes landing on two figures. At this moment in time, he couldn't tell if they were survivors or zombies. He chose the latter of the two and readied his crossbow, ducking behind the counter. His breaths quickened, adrenaline lining his blood, these would be some of his first kills, if they were successful.
