ohmigod but irl daehyun is 20. but jiyeons still older than him by 21 days

Jiyeon gave him a look. She couldn't tell if he was being serious or not. At his tease, Jiyeon couldn't help but grin as she scoffed. She liked seeing the joking side of what had seemed like a cold person. "Oh, shut up. Then what are you, proof that aliens exist?" She teased back.

"Meh. No, you just look old, so I got caught off guard that you're still in your teens." She shrugged nonchalantly, trying not to let his youth get into his head. Wrinkling her nose, she slapped his arm lightly. "Smile lines. Twenty years of smile lines, ok child?" She said.

Jiyeon made a face at him, narrowing her eyes. "Psh. They'd be distracted because it's just so repulsingly...repulsing." She said with fake awe, sending a teasing grin to him.

"Hmm..." She studied the boy, pretending to ' read ' him as she leaned closer. Leaning back and crossing her arms as a sign of giving up, she sighed and shook her head. "Too many big words." She said with a slight pout, pursing her lips. "what do you mean most definitely? I'm the princess, and you, sir, are my peasant slave person thing." She said with an innocent smile. "Ooh, lucky you, living the good life, eh? And here's the obedient princess, doing her boring chores." She sighed. "We're like the story of Aladdin and Jasmine." She realized with a chuckle.

Jiyeon sighed in defeat. "Oh, the world is disturbing. And corrupted." She said with a slight smirk / smile. "Psh. So now what I say is automatically the truth? Nope, sorry, I live a life of lies. I'm an actress!" She shrugged. "It's in my nature to fool people." She said, hoping he didn't think she was being fake right now. It was weird, since they had only met a while ago, but Jiyeon felt she could be her true self around Daehyun, a feeling that was rare to her.

Wrinkling her nose, she gave the boy a face. "You're in love with me. Not vice versa. Pay me some respect, child, I'm your noona." She said haughtily, crossing her arms stubbornly. "So, naming all this and saying I want you, is that implying that you can fulfill all those requirements of my quote - un - quote ' dream guy '?" She asked, making quotation marks with her finger. What ( she hoped ) he didn't know, was that he had gotten everything exactly right. Jiyeon loved guys with charming voices- and singing her to sleep was just super romantic. She loved ice cream, and she laughs very easily and wants a guy who can make her laugh just that easily. But she wouldn't let him know he had hit spot - on.

( fiNALLY IM SORRY. I HAD A ROUGH TIME )

"Sadist? If seeing people cry for mere pleasure is being sadistic, then so be it," he shrugged. The countless times he'd seen his brothers and sisters cry when they were younger was nothing but fun to him. "You can't possibly be your own specie.. Monkeys exist, smart one," Daehyun teased, a small smile tugging on his lips.

"A-am I not supposed to be nineteen?" Daehyun raised an eyebrow and tried to recall any moment where that seemed to have brought him down. Never. "Wow, looks like we know why you get the wrinkles on your forehead now. Twenty years of age, eh?"

He crossed his arms and blew out a short puff of warm air. "By the time the receptionist sees you, they'd admit you quicker than you could blink. Then again, they might be distracted by my looks?" Daehyun threw her a quick gaze to ease the tension and laughed softly.

"Something no one knows about me? I'm practically an open book. Go ahead. You ask, and I'll answer with no doubts and regrets." He nudged her and nodded to show off some sign of encouragement. "I am most definitely a prince if you're a princess. I'm pretty sure at this point we can throw out labels for each other and we wouldn't have to mind. Plus, I'm already living a crazy life."

"Oh my goodness." Daehyun shook his head and closed his eyes for a few seconds. "Life goes on. Boys check girls out. Girls check boys out. Boys check boys out. Girls check girls out. It's life." After feeling content, he grinned and sighed. "You're the one that said it... not me. Now, I'm guessing that it's the truth, hm?" He asked, tucking Jiyeon's hair behind her ear.

"Yeah. That's it. I am totally going to keep my mindset on the fact that you are totally in love with me. You'd be the type of girl that would want to be serenaded to sleep as she lays on her boyfriend's lap. The type of girl that would want to go out on ice cream dates and spend hours giggling at nonsense. You want me, don't you?"

@( s ) jung daehyun ( OHMIGOD I THOUGHT I REPLIED ; A ;
/flails; BUT YES IT WAS < 3 )

Jiyeon made a face at the boy. "Well okay, you sadist." She said, contorting her face into one of minimal disgust. Shrugging at his brief summary of every Korean drama ever produced, she nodded. "Eh. Pretty accurate." She said. With an innocent grin, she blinked her eyelashes at him. "Yepp! I'm that special." She said, grinning.

"You're nineteen?!" She exclaimed, that being the only thing she caught. "I'm twenty!" She said, grinning, now that she knew she was superior over him in some way. Daehyun trailed off and Jiyeon chuckled inwardly. *What a little player, huh?* She thought, grinning.

"Why thanks, I try." She said nonchalantly with an innocent grin. Narrowing her eyes, she wrinkled her nose at him. "Who said I was going? I'm the one taking you to the asylum." She said.

Jiyeon bit her lip, seeing the struggle the boy was in as he tried to stall. "I don't know. Tell me something about yourself...something no one else knows about you." She said. She wrinkled her nose when he pinched it. "Who said you were a prince?!" She said with a haughty princess tone. "Nopenope, be patient. No fairytale escalates this fast unless there's a crazy plot twist or something." She said, her hands flitting in the air to emphasize the word ' crazy '.

Jiyeon gave him a look of disturbance as he spoke. "Excuse you, but I am not a like someone I know." The look disappeared, however, when he pecked her on the nose, and surprise replaced the disgust. "Are you implying that I want you but can't have you?" She asked, recovering quickly but not letting the memory leave her mind.

"Awwh..." She pouted. "I'm sweet!" She protested. Jiyeon chuckled at the thought of him watching dramas, then slightly tuned down at the thought of him watching it with his past girlfriends. "Ahh, I see what you're trying to do here. You're the best friend who falls in love with the main who likes someone else who ends up with someone else and then the best friend gets her and they get together and have a nice little family." She said sarcastically.

( THAT WAS THE BEST COMEBACK I HAVE EVER SEEN
/DEAD )

"Cry for me. It would be the highlight of my entire life," Daehyun said, hoping to elicit something caught between a smile and a frown. "I thought dramas are all about falling in love with someone, but there's always something that seems to get in their way of finding true love. As we all know, the ending will have them together or married. Or dead together." He thought about the other possibilities, but he covered the main points. "Unique species?" he snorted and shook his head at her.

Daehhyun shrugged, unsure of why Jiyeon was acting so surprised. "Well yeah. I'm nineteen. I started dating around the age of... fifteen? Some of them shouldn't even be considered as a relationship," he mumbled, reminiscing some of the moments he had with boys and girls. "Other ways? How so?"

"Ha. Ha. Very funny," he narrowed his eyes at her. "I'm pretty sure you would enjoy the straitjacket as you adore me from the institute. Not to worry. I'll visit you."

Daehyun was reluctant to give a hint mainly because he didn't know what to tell her. "What kind of hint do you want?" he asked, trying to get rid of his struggles. He pinched her nose in frustration and in his cheeks. "I don't do aegyo. Princes don't do aegyo." He released her and nodded his head. "Happy endings should happen now. But if I use chapstick, my lips won't have one because they dry them out even more."

"Dude, calm down. If anyone is reeking with lust for the other, it would be you. It was the only reason you came up to me. You were trying to seduce me using your acting skills. Trying to seem oh-so cool and haughty. You probably wanna get in my pants, don't you?" He laughed to ease the tension and quickly pecked her on the nose. "Dream on, Jiyeon. Life is full of games. You're playing the I-Want-What-I-Can't-Have game. Pretty unsatisfactory."

Daehyun pursed his lips and scratched his cheek. "Sweet? I... Hm... I don't know. Besides, I've watched plenty of dramas. No need to be so shocked. Watching them with girlfriends or with boyfriends. It's not something unusual." He thought about it and nothing weird came to mind. "Why don't we live a drama then, hm? You're the main, and I'll be your best friend."

Jiyeon rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. I bawl my eyes out all the time. I'm surprised I still have tears left!" She exclaimed with a slight sigh. "These days, dramas are all about those crazy crying and screaming scenes where people go, like, insane." She said, indirectly proving her point on her dramaticness. "Hmm. I don't know. Probably 50 / 50." She shrugged. "I can't really be categorized as a certain type of person. I'm just my own unique species." She said with a wide smile.

She chuckled as Daehyun mirrored her way of talking, smiling inwardly. Who knew he could be the type to joke around like this? And speaking of joking around...she thought. "All your /years/? Ha! Years! Wow, how very nonchalant of you." She said, nodding sarcastically. "Eh. Not much. But I learn other ways." Jiyeon replied with a shrug.

"A kingdom far away...like, oh, I don't know, some weird alien planet?" She asked, pretending to be truly intrigued. "Yeah, so after a bit of discovering, I've realized that you're a desparate _____ who very obviously is interested in me. And my ." She said with a small smirk. "Well, I don't think people are put into straitjackets cause they enjoy it." She said sarcastically, pursing her lips.

with a shrug, Jiyeon raised her hands in the air, palms turned up. "Put it however you want. Either way, do I get a hint?" She grinned. He pouted for a quick second before turning pink, obviously embarassed by his previous action. Being the girl she is, Jiyeon decided it to bring it up to the topic. "Is that aegyo I see? From the cold, chic man, Jung Daehyun?" She teased. "Aigoo, our little Daehyunnie is so impatient! Just keep your hopes up. Fairytales like this usually have happy endings." She said with a small smile. "Then put on some chapstick, 'em only makes it worse." Jiyeon retorted, not about to lose just yet.

"Flatter myself? What do you mean by that? I'm merely stating a fact." She smiled innocently. "Ohmy-" Jiyeon's eyes widened scandalously and she inched away for impact. With a sigh, she gave him a look, the same 5 - year - old look from before. "Daehyun, I know you want to have a make out scene with me. It is mucho obvious." She said, holding up her hand to stop him before he could retort. "But you gotta calm yo hormones, dude." She said, making a ' calm down ' motion. "But I've always wanted a kiss scene with Yoo Seungho or Seo Inguk..." She sighed dreamily.

"Aiming to be sweet? I already am sweet!" Jiyeon said, tossing her hair over her shoulder. She laughed. "Wow, I'm surprised you know the typical drama plot!" She said, slapping him on the shoulder as a way of congratulation. "Good job." She nodded. "But that wouldn't be too bad...I've always wanted to really live out a drama. Everything ends up perfectly." She said. Being in so many of them, Jiyeon's mind had been obstructed around cliche plots and typical scenes and now lived with daily thoughts of them. "Thanks." She said dryly. "Oh, you're welcome!" She said, grinning cheekily.

@( a ) park jiyeon "And who said actors and actresses had to be so dramatic? I'd kill to see you in a show where you'd be bawling your eyes out," Daehyun smirked, tugging on her softly. "It seems like the other half was spent sitting on the couch watching TV or possibly indulging into a book, hm?" He wasn't sure what type of person Jiyeon was. Either a bookworm or a coach potato. The more he knew, the better it would be for the both of them.

"And experience is what I received, darling," he said, returning the same way of silly speaking. "All my years of dating have quite proved how headache-inducing some people could be. Such a terrible thing to encounter. And you? Have you got any experience?"

Daehyun huffed and shook his head. "And what makes you think that I group into one of your subjects? I could be a prince from a kingdom far away waiting to be wed into some gorgeous, appropriate princess. We'll never know until we do a bit of discovering," he babbled. "From the short amount we've spent together, it may turn out that way, but I'm not really one to enjoy a straitjacket."

Daehyun pressed his lips together and examined her. He opened his mouth to say something but shut it after a while. "Well, I'd give you a hint if you looked like you really needed one. Considering the fact that you're an actress, that seems like a freebie to you, doesn't it?" He smiled and gave her a knowing look. Daehyun shot a rare pout at her before realizing what he did and turning the faintest shade of pink. "But I want to know what happens in the end. I'm sick of waiting Jiyeon." He flipped through his imaginary book and showed her. "See? It seems a little insane, right?" He his lips again to aggravate her. "Maybe it means that my lips are dry. Thought about that?"

Hah. If anyone was conceited, it would have been the only person talking to him at the moment. "Oh, don't flatter yourself. But I do suppose you're offering to end up with me in a drama where we kiss and make out. This makes things a little more interesting." He smirked, entertained.

"Now, you're shaping up to be a proper, cliche princess. Aiming to be a sweet one. I see the story line you're trying to create. What's next? A bad boy coming into your life, and you two end up falling in love, seeing that you both complete each other?" Daehyun's mind was full of... many thoughts. He was very imaginative, but he had yet to fully express them. "You'd be the laughing-stock of the entire show. I'll look forward to those fifty minutes." He watched Jiyeon's small actions of awkwardness and smiled inwardly. He sat to the chair next to hers and looked at her. "Thanks for the offer, princess," he motioned to his chair.

@( s ) jung daehyun A grin tugged at the corner of Jiyeon's lips. "Well, I am an actor." She said teasingly, looking over her shoulder at him. Jiyeon groaned. "Half my life is complaining." She joked and chuckled at his gym comment. It was true, she wouldn't be able to last 30 seconds. Jiyeon was not a very...athletic person, you could say. While Daehyun was probably an exercise maniac, Jiyeon was pretty much a couch potato, and she admitted it with a shrug. "Eh. I probably wouldn't." She said, making a ' eh, whatever ' face.

"Getting there? Ah, thanks. That's assuring. Do you speak from experience, dear sir?" She asked, using her ' mannerful way of talking ', as she liked to call the way she spoke in the sort of Britishorwhoeverthoseelgantpeopleare mannerism.

A bubble of laughter escaped her lips at his teasing tone. "Well, lucky for you, I'm a very considerate princess who cares for her subjects. Or, you never know, I could be arrogant and leading you to the mental hospital." She shrugged.

Jiyeon pursed her lips and nodded. "Agreeable." She listened to the so - called ' rules ' of the game and chuckled when he laughed. "So if I told you I was in desparate need of a hint, you would give me one?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Hmm, you'll just have to wait a bit longer. Stories always take a while to unfold, don't they?" She asked, reaching for his hands, pretending to flip back to the beginning of his book. Jiyeon gave a dramatically exasperated sigh, like she was dealing with a 5 year old. "No, child. It just means that you look like you're trying to seduce me and you're failing." She said, giving him a ' consoling ' smile as she patted his head.

"Ahh, true true." She said, putting up her hand as a sign of surrender. She heard a bit of a conceited tone in his voice and chuckled. "Ooh, you're cool." She . With a grin, she flipped her hair. "Attractive female lead, right here ~ !" She sing - songed.

Jiyeon gave him a look and patted the books. "I'm civilized enough to not leave extra work for these librarians." She said. "Well, I've always wanted to be in a sitcom!" She said, shrugging with a small smile. He came even closer and she instinctly leaned back, but cut it short, not wanting to fall, and their noses touched. Still slightly flustered from the closeness of the two, she blinked quickly and cleared , pulling out a chair. "If you say so, dear gentleman."

@( a ) park jiyeon He forced himself to refrain from pinching Jiyeon's nose as hard as he could, a little sign he did when he thought something was either unbearably cute or adorable. "Princess is a dramatic one, isn't she?" he said, noting her act of vain. "Oh please. Those books barely weigh much. Quit you're complaining. I bet you wouldn't even be able to handle a minute in the gym with me." Daehyun was fond of going to the gym, trying to maintain his appearance. After all, the industry highly appreciated those with a well-built body and attractive face.

Daehyun shook his head, entertained at her reply. It was true, he supposed. She had larger hips than he did, and he wasn't about to have a heated debate about that. Jiyeon would end up forcing the fact that he was some '' down his throat, and he heard that way too many times from her already. "Bipolar? You're getting there." Daehyun knew how bipolar women acted, and she surely didn't seem like one just yet. Her personality just tended to change every so often to conform to his own.

He kept walking as he felt a tiny bit of Jiyeon's weight on his leg and just grinned to himself. It had been a while since someone had been this playful with him. "Shouldn't princesses like you stay away from crazy people like me? I wouldn't want to taint such royal blood," he teased, turning his head slightly to address her, his eyes displaying a hint of distaste as people scolded her to be quiet.

"Why yes." He pursed his lips at her choice of words. "A puzzle of some sort if you want to categorize it under one of the main genres of games." He slowed down his pace in order to walk directly next to her, watching her face as she spoke to him. "Hints have to be earned and given at certain periods of time. Especially at times of despair and desperation," Daehyun softly laughed. "But when shall this prince got his princess? I'm eager to get to the end of this storybook and watch the happily ever after come true." He used his hands to demonstrate a book and then aggressively pretended to get to the end of his 'book.' " my lips is a habit, but it sure does look like you're getting lured into my trap, doesn't it?"

Daehyun haughtily puffed out his chest and ruffled his hair at his achievement. "Singers /are/ actors to, you know? Just not well-known. We have to portray and successfully convey emotions to the audience. A hint of worry and sadness can make so many people break down into tears. And that's only using my voice." He added a bit more conceitedness into his voice in hopes of irritating Jiyeon. "Though, I wouldn't mind working as an actor. As long as I have an attractive female or male lead."

Daehyun had an amused look on his face and poked fun at the girl next to her. "If you didn't want to follow me, then you would have left those book on the floor and left me alone." He looked at her shallow breathing, a symptom of how tired she was. "You're such a joker. Ever thought of acting as one of those for your debut drama?" He smirked as Jiyeon went even closer. "And you're seeming to like it just as well." Her chest was going up and down, wanting oxygen to fill her lungs. His nose touched the tip of hers as he said, "Why don't you sit down, princess? I don't want you to faint."

@( s ) jung daehyun Daehyun gave her a snarky reply and she wrinkled her nose, something she was doing a lot around him. He stared at her a bit longer and she stared right back until he lifted his gaze and turned around to leave the aisle. She followed after him and grinned at his comment, giving a little obnoxious hairflip. "Of course. Half of it is from holding these books for the past 50 billion hours, but you know." She said, shrugging nonchalantly.

Jiyeon made a face. "And if it is? At least it's better than yours." She said challengingly. With another nonchalant shrug, she gave him an equally nonchalant answer. "Eh. I'm bipolar, you could say." She chuckled. "At least you admit it, boy." She said, lightly nudging his calf with her foot. He patted her cheek, and she thought she saw a glimpse of a laugh as he did so, relieving her stress. "I knew it." She said, smiling proudly until he said his next comment. "HA!" She said rather loudly, and realizing how loud she was, and that she was in a library, looked around, her eyes wide as she bowed sheepishly and apologetically to onlookers.

"Ah, so it's a challenging game, huh..." She said, pretending to seriously ponder it. "I don't consider it cheating. I like calling it a hint." She said, smiling innocently. "But I accept the challenge, you arrogant prince." She said with a small grin, and walked ahead of him. And as she neared the end of the aisle, "And stop your lips. I'm the one luring you in, aright?"

As his face deflated into one of sadness and his voice into one of pity, she started to soften as well, but they both went right back to normal once he couldn't keep up the image any longer. "Wow, and to think I pitied you for a millisecond right there. You should be the actor, hmm?" She laughed. At his remark, she gave him a pointed look. "Ha, ha, ha." She dryly laughed. "Verry ~ funny." She said, returning the sarcasticness he used on her.

"Maybe I don't." She shrugged. "But I've gotta put these books somewhere, right?" She let out a relieved breath and collapsed on the table in ' fatigue ', getting up soon after. He leaned closer to her again, putting a lack of distance between them. "I've already thought about it? Oh wait, I didn't think that we were talking about you!" She said, using his own words against him with a smirk. "I mean, you're the one who obviously likes being this close to me." She said, daringly going closer to him.

@( a ) park jiyeon "Thought so." Daehyun smirked a bit, his gaze lingering on her face for quite a bit before moving onto the vast room of the library. What did he ever do to meet a girl in such a wondrous place? He gave her arms a gentle squeeze. "Ah, I see that you already have biceps and triceps going on."

He crossed his arms and cleared his throat quietly. "You like bringing your up a lot. Something you're proud of?" he quizzically rose an eyebrow, a smile soon forming. "You truly are something. Cold and then warm and sweet? But I don't know Jiyeon.. I'm a lunatic." Of course, he was kidding. He was totally normal and had no problems mentally. He almost laughed as he patted her cheek, seeing her face full of worry. "You've got no wrinkles to worry about. And shut up with your already. We all know that mine is better than what you have," he teased, ruffling his hair with a small yawn.

"Ah, and that's where you've already done your mistake." Daehyun had a prideful look on. "That's not how the game works, princess. It's more like you have to discover things about me without me telling you. Telling you would be cheating wouldn't it? So try and lure me in, and I'll see if I get attracted." He raised his chin and his lips, waiting for her to accept.

Daehyun feigned disappoint and sorrow, scratching the back of his head. "I know that people aren't very fond of me. No need to remind me," he mumbled, aiming to achieve that pitiful voice. But he definitely was not able to keep up that facade because he straightened up once again, his invisible shield remaining unbroken. "Annoying. Cold. A . Oh wait, I didn't think that we were talking about you!"

He scoffed out loud and stood by the table he was once sitting at. "You act like you don't want to follow me." He rolled his eyes and grabbed the stack of books from her arms and placed them onto the wooden table. Daehyun walked over to her and leaned forward, their faces an inch away from each other. "I'm pretty sure you'd like to do that, since you've already thought about it then why not have a go at it?"

@jung daehyun Jiyeon made a face at his insult at her being weak and was about to retort, but decided to keep her smart mouth shut for once as she could slowly feel her arms going numb.

Trying to keep on her proud face, she slightly pursed her lips. "Because. However much you're a pain in the behind you like to stare at, I don't think anyone deserves to live with that kind of view on themselves. I don't know how anyone can, actually..." She said, trailing off, staring into space. As his finger neared her face, she came back to reality and wrinkled her nose. "Yes, actually." She said, then turned away. Softly, to herself, she mumbled, "I don't have forehead wrinkles, do I?" She asked herself worriedly. She turned back to see him leaning closer again, causing her to lean back again. "Eesh. Whatever. You're still a ." She said, shrugging.

"Ha. You think I'm kidding?" She scoffed. "And likewise. I'm glad we agree." She nodded. He shook his head, obviously amused, and she cocked her head. "Then why don't you tell me?" She asked, using his playful tone.

"I should be glad?" Her eyes went wide in mock surprise. "You should be honored that I'm still even talking to you!" She said, flipping her hair with a flick of her head obnoxiously. At his self - compliments, she let out a sarcastic laugh. "Ha! Funny. More like...annoying? Cold? A ?" She said, tilting her head as she stared up at the ceiling.

Jiyeon made a face at him. "Like I want to feel you up." She said. Adjusting the books on her arms, she followed after him. "Yeah, yeah."

@( a ) park jiyeon Jiyeon somewhat scolded Daehyun, and he couldn't help but retract his arm at the sharpness of her voice. "I suppose I'm doing with giving you more weight to carry. A small girl like you shouldn't be expected to lift much, am I right?" His eyebrow shot up slowly and then back down to emphasize his questioning tone.

"And why would someone like you want to change my view on myself? You seem to be a tad bit persistent about it too. Do you happen to care for me?" Daehyun asked, noting that there was only one person that truly liked him for who he was. Even to this day, he was still baffled as to why. Watching her lash out at him was truly amazing to Daehyun. "And those on your forehead," he paused to point the invisible lines out, "are they also smile lines?" Once again, Jiyeon's sharpness rose and he couldn't help but wince. "We're in a library," he chided, leaning closer to her. "We wouldn't want to get kicked out. Besides, I know nothing about your background. Your backside was sort of a freebie."

Daehyun laughed as quietly as he could after he scolded Jiyeon. Her retort was nothing but funny to him. "Is that so? I'd like to see you try. There is no way I'd be falling into your trap. You wouldn't even know what would lure me in." He shook his head in amusement, hinting a playful offer at her.

"Ah, get over it." He rolled his eyes out of habit and his lips. "You should be glad that someone is looking at you or rather paying attention to you." Daehyun smirked at her and sighed. She was probably just saying things to get to his head. He didn't know. Jiyeon was a weird girl. "Hm? What would a stranger think of me on first glance? Handsome? Slick? Smooth?" He knew the real answer. Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. The only thing that crossed his mind when it came to a question like that. Did he seem like the type to be awfully secluded and isolated?

"The how-to manual? Perhaps you should do a bit of searching." He smiled and departed from the bookshelf and walked a bit. He turned around and looked at Jiyeon. "Coming?"

@jung daehyun Daehyun nodded and turned back to the bookshelf, making Jiyeon groan. "Aish, you're not done abusing me yet?" She said, letting out a breath dramatically.

She gave the nonchalant boy a look. "Well, get used to me trying to change that unhealthy view of yours." She said. How could you live with such a pessimistic look of yourself? She wondered. At his indirect insult, Jiyeon made a face at him. "Excuse you, but those are smile lines. Not wrinkles. Get it right." She said, flicking her bangs out of her face. She gawked at his last comment, inching away. "Oh my holy mother of pearl you _____! You already analyzed my background, no need to analyze my backside!" She said scandalously.

Daehyun's face scrunched up, as well as hers did, and even more so when he brought up the famous saying 'Opposites attract.' Scoffing, she shook her head at him. "Child, even if that saying really was true, you'd be the one falling in my trap." She said, smugly cocking her head.

"You're right about the observantness, you ." She said, inching away for more emphasis. As his arrogant side began to appear, a burble of laughter escaped Jiyeon's mouth. "Wow, on first glance, no one would've thought you were this kind of person." She said, nodding as she looked him up and down. Looking at his outstretched arms, a smile tugged at the corner of her lips. "Where's the how - to manual?" She asked teasingly.

Daehyun nodded and let the argument go, wanting nothing more from that portion of their conversation. His fingers continued swiping across the spines of books on the high shelf. What was he that he was looking for? What did he actually want to read at this moment?

"Ask anyone." He crossed his arms and leaned against the books ever-so slightly. "It may be pessimistic, but it's totally accurate. People aren't fond of me. I've been used to it for years." He chuckled softly when he saw Jiyeon agree that he was nothing but a headache. "Ah, then perfect." He raised an eyebrow as his lips tugged up into some sort of smile. "You are definitely a duchess." "Pretending to glance her bottom, he blinked. "Minus the big ."

Again, a series of expressions crossed Jiyeon's face... and Daehyun had yet to figure out which of his actions stirred up such a thing. He would never know. His eyes squinted as he gently scrunched his nose. "Polar opposite? As if," he scoffed, shaking his head at her. "But then again... there's always that one famous saying. What was it..? 'Opposites attract.' It'll only be a matter of time until I'll be able to lure you into my trap," he joked. Though, even he couldn't tell if he were joking or not.

"Of course, of course. A person like me, so observant and keen, should be able to tell whether one is worthy to show chivalry," he said returning the bow, trying to keep in his outbursts of laughter at how funny he may have seemed. He shrugged. "Many people miss out the great opportunity to talk to me." Ahh, there was his arrogant side. Jiyeon's reply made Daehyun straighten his body and smirk. Outstretching his arms to his sides, he simply said, "Try me."

@jung daehyun "Whatever. Think what you wanna think if it makes you feel better." She shrugged, avoiding his smug look.

She gave him a look, her eyebrows slightly wrinkled. "Well that's totally not a pessimistic way of viewing yourself. But yes, you are a pain." She nodded. "Eesh." She wrinkled her nose, blowing hair onto her forehead, where her bothersome bangs hung in front of her eyes. "The word duchess reminds me of some big, old ahjumma with wrinkles and a big ." She said bluntly.

When he ( sort of indirectly ) called her y, Jiyeon's eyes first went wide, then she scoffed and turned away, only to turn back and give him a look. When his amused expression hadn't changed, she cocked her head. "I don't know, maybe like...' the polar opposite of Jung Daehyun ', for starters." She said, a smile tugging the corner of her lips. Who knew he had this flirtatious side to him? Well, she did too. It was just a moment of time until she revealed it.

She gave him a triumphant smile. "I'm glad you understand."

"Ah, I'm glad you noticed." She said, mock bowing as best as she could with all the books in her hands. "Wow. I am so glad I started talking to you." She said. Feeling his breath on her ear, her shoulders went up slightly in reaction to the tingling feeling it sent up her spine. She raised an eyebrow and grinned with one corner of . "It sounds kind of dangerous...but I'm still sort of willing." She said, smirking slightly challengingly.

@( a ) park jiyeon "You know I'm right." Daehyun gave her a smug smile and shrugged. He loved watching the different expressions play on Jiyeon's face. It was like looking at different pictures, each a differing scene from the other. It was amusing really.

He pursed his lips for a few seconds before letting them fall back to their cushion-y state. "Those words don't even begin to describe what I have in stored in this dreaded personality of mine. I'm such a pain." His hand found its way to the top of the book pile in order to stable them. "Well, if you're a princess, you'll need to learn how to balance yourself and your subjects, hm? For now, you're a duchess in my eyes."

Jiyeon's body swayed a bit due to their close proximity, and he didn't blame her. Who wanted to be near a person they barely met? Daehyun, of course. He was adventurous and flirty in all the right places. That's what he wanted to believe. "Ahh, arrogant but in such a y way." His lips curled up into a small smile. "Please do elaborate."

He sighed. "An actress will do what an actress has to do."

"Everyone has gentleman side in them. Even you, your highness," he , without the usual smile and playful tone. "You're one to talk though. I can drive people insane. Make them lose their sanity. Pull out their hair. Trust me, I'm worse than you," Daehyun whispered once his lips were right next to her ear. He leaned back and raised an eyebrow. "I know how to play either way. That's only if you're willing to push the button that says 'play with me.'"

@jung daehyun He gave her a look that clearly said 'Are you kidding me?' She wrinkled her nose at the look and scoffed at his other suggestions. "Whatever. Agree to disagree." She pursed her lips.

"Ahh, so you admit that you're cold and heartless, eh?" She said, unknowingly describing him with the same word he had used to mentally describe her. She stumbled forward as he pulled her closer, the books dangerously on the verge of falling. Scoffing, she made a face at him. "Why not? Princesses are young, beautiful, and sweet." She said, smiling innocently.

He kept stepping closer to her, which caused her to lean back, uncomfortable with the distance- or rather, lack thereof- between them, especially since he was rather handsome ( that, she wouldn't admit, though ) and still a sort of stranger. But she stood her ground and smiled. "Of course not. I would need many more words to describe this beauty." She said.

"I guess you could say that." She said, shrugging as she stared back into his cold eyes.

She made a face at him and was about to retort in her defense, but as he continued talking, her lips curled up into a smirk. "So, you /do/ have a gentlemanly side to you. We'll see how far your patience goes, though. I tend to, hmm, let's say, unknowingly pester people." She said, grinning brilliantly. When he said he'd be back to his normal state, however, she pouted. "Darn, but I like this you. I mean, yeah, you're still evil, but at least you know how to play." She gave him a slight grin.

"Pretty good?" He gave her a look that could redden anyone. Though, Daehyun highly doubted that he'd make Jiyeon do so. She seemed to mask her emotions at all costs. Only one word came to his mind at that: heartless. "What an understatement. I'd say I did an excellent job. Amazing. Stupendous. Jaw-dropping analysis."

"A bit of venom?" He smirked at her and his lips. "Double-- no triple that, and maybe you would have just the same amount as me, duchess." Daehyun pulled her closer to him and shrugged. "Princess is not suitable for a person like you."

"An actress and a singer... both capable of portraying emotions given a specific piece, don't you think?" he challenged back, stepping closer to her. "Sweet and innocent don't begin to describe the looks of you."

"Neutral vibes, eh?" Daehyun's cold eyes reached hers, and he blinked once as if to tell her something. But what was it? How could he have been so easy-going so quickly? Actress's magic, he told himself.

He watched Jiyeon struggle with the weight of the books in her arms. Ahh, this is what he got for being an avid reader. "As long as I want. Actresses must endure certain extents of pain. Marks won't do you wrong. After all this book carrying, I'll do a little favor for you if you'd like. I must show a little chivalry. Then, I'll be back to my normal state." Cold. Rude. Witty.

@jung daehyun Jiyeon nodded as Daehyun explained his reasoning for knowing her majoring department. She was honestly pretty surprised that he could analyze people so well, but she hid her emotions, not wanting to give him a sense of triumph. "Hmm. Pretty good." She shrugged as well as she could, holding all the books he had piled on her arms.

"Wow, don't you think that's kind of harsh? I mean, duchess is fine, but I prefer princess. And full of poison? No no, just a bit of venom." She slightly smiled, the corner of her lip curling upwards teasingly.

"Ha. Why thank you. You called my face sweet and innocent." Jiyeon smiled and gave a small little bow. "But who said my face would be sweet and innocent if I told you off? I am an actress, as you know so well."

As he , Jiyeon felt a secret sense of pride in her. He had seemed like such a cold, rude person at first, but here he was, taunting her and sending negative vibes right back at hers. "They aren't negative vibes. They just aren't positive." She said, shrugging slightly. "Hey, how much longer are you gonna leave me standing here holding all of these books? I'm a fragile girl and my arms are sensitive. This weight's gonna leave marks, I'm telling you..." She trailed off, looking over her arms in worry, her eyebrows creasing.

"How do I know?" He repeated Jiyeon's question. Daehyun watched her entire body react to his presence. "The way you present yourself gives away everything. Look at you. Confident.. yet something about you screams out 'hey, I'm still a shy person in here... somewhere.' The way you seem so stolid about things. There are times when a small smile should suppress or maybe even a frown. But you. You're able to control your emotions and the truth. That's how I know," he said with a small smirk plastered onto his face. "Correct me if I'm wrong, princess."

Hearing her remark, Daehyun hid a smile under his usual demeanor. "Ahh, princess? I take that back. More like a jealous duchess full of poison," he tested. "Tell me off. Go ahead. I'd love to see such a sweet and innocent face do such things."

He softly laughed and scrunched his nose. "You're giving off negative vibes though." Daehyun hovered his hands around her. "Oooh, look at this. Your aura is full of hatred and sassiness. Tsssk.."

@( s ) jung daehyun Jiyeon noticed how the boy-no, Daehyun, she told herself. He has a name.- scrutinized her and seemed to be able to analyze her and her whole life with just a look with the eyes. Which is why she was minisculely surprised to hear that he assumed she was in the acting department. But only minisculely.

Her eyebrows wrinkling, she turned her body more to him. "How'd you know?" She asked. As she turned her body to face him better, she met his eyes and saw a firm gaze greeting her. From her training, she learned not to back down in these moments and did just so. She stared right back into his eyes, not in a cruel, vulnerable, or proud way, just in a way that showed that she could handle things.

As expected from his initial impression he left on her, he ignored Jiyeon's outstretched hand. Just as she was about to pull it back nonchalantly, he flattened her palms out, reaching to grab her other arm. Too surprised to do anything, she just wrinkled her eyebrows at his actions, confused, and accepted the books he piled on her arms. "Make yourself useful", he had said. Well, if he could be cold, then she had every right to bring out her sassy side as well.

Making a 'hmmph' noise, she flicked her hair out of her face again and raised her chin higher in defiance. "I barely even know you and you're ordering me around, telling me to be useful. I would tell you off right now if not for the fact that we're in a library and that I'm not a big fan of negative vibes."

@( a ) park jiyeon Her face went from disgusted to appalled to warm and friendly all in under the time span of three minutes. He noted that she was able to change her facial expressions so quickly it was as if nothing ever happened. She seemed a little confident with herself especially with the wave of hair that landed neatly on her back. Everything seemed so rehearsed, yet so unprepared.

"Jiyeon," he repeated, tilting his head to the side as if trying to see if he liked the ring of it. It was okay, he guessed. "I'm assuming you're in the acting department," he said, making firm eye contact with her. If she was able to maintain it under his gaze... then, she wouldn't be so bad. If she didn't... well, who knew?

Daehyun ignored the usual 'shaking hands' things and continued scanning the bookshelf. Book after book, he had them stacked up in his arms which all landed in one place. He flattened out Jiyeon's palms in front of her and said, "Keep your posture firm and your arms strong. Make yourself useful." With that, he laid all the books in her arms neatly. "Don't let them fall."

@( s ) jung daehyun Jiyeon anticipated how the boy's voice would turn out to sound like. It was...nice and smooth, and she could detect a slight accent somewhere in it. She slightly recoiled and wrinkled her nose at his sarcastic and cold tone. When he said she should introduce herself, she looked away, feeling like he had read her mind and found out what she had referred to him as.

Before she could introduce herself and apologize for seeming so creepy, the boy spoke and introduced himself as Jung Daehyun. She scoffed, a bit unbelieving at his last comment. *He /supposes/? This guy seems a bit antisocial...* She tossed her hair away from her face with a flick of her head and tried to ignore his cold image. "I'm Park Jiyeon." She said with a warm smile, holding out her hand.

@( a ) park jiyeon ( it's okay c: )

For some odd reason, Daehyun felt like he was being stared at. But why would it be odd if it were true? The girl from before was still ogling at him, and he mentally shook his head at her. What was he to do with the likes of her? After staring at him, she acted like she wasn't interested at all. Then, he would find her looking back at him. She needed to make up her mind. To stare or not to stare.

With one last trace of the spine, Daehyun was about to abandon the book that was once in his hands until he finally heard her voice. It was somewhat swift, yet it was not forced out. She seemed to have some sort of control in her voice, a good quality to have.

"No," he muttered out sarcastically, "I just wanted to read a book about singing because why not? But now that we got that notion out of the way, why don't you do yourself a favor and introduce yourself? I don't seem to like the fact that I keep referring to you as 'the girl' in my head. Names and titles would definitely be more like it."

He eyed another book that was not information but entertaining and took that out of the shelf. "And before you ask, I'm Jung Daehyun. Pleasure, I suppose."

@( s ) jung daehyun (( OMF- IM SORRAY ; A ; I haven't been on for a while ; u ; sorry o/ ))

As much as she tried, Jiyeon couldn't help but let her curiousity and girl instincts take over. She kept trying to sneak a peek at him and see what book he was reading, if he was good looking, etc. She shook her head and knocked her fist against it lightly, trying to snap herself out of it. *What are you doing, Park Jiyeon!*

She was about to leave the aisle and just go browse the gift shop when she heard the short screech of a chair being pushed back. Her eyes immediately turned to the noise and she saw that the attention-enticing boy had gotten up and was approaching her. She unconsciously stared at him a bit longer and noticed that he raised an eyebrow at her with a 'yes?' face. Biting her lip, she lifted her chin slightly and looked away. He put the book back, in the spot right next to hers, and she looked at it, reading the title as he turned to leave. He was just going to leave? Like that? Jiyeon felt there should be more and opened .

"You sing?" She blurted out before she could stop herself.

@( a ) park jiyeon ( yours is amazing so shhhh c': )

Page after page, Daehyun found himself getting bored to death. The entire book was full of nothing but lessons and topics that he already learned on his own free time when he was younger. It was a nostalgic item, but it had no purpose at the time. He wanted something to entertain him. Something that would keep his mind away from things. Is it so hard to be content with life?

Standing up to return the book, he felt someone staring at him. It was a girl. It wasn't hard to tell because she was practically the only person there. He raised an eyebrow at her as if asking, 'what do you want from me?' Daehyun had never seen her before, and he was sure as hell that he had never spoken to the likes of her. He huffed and put his book back, which just so happened to be right next to the girl.

@( s ) jung daehyun (( asdfghjkl this is beautiful < 3 sorry if I cx ))

Peace. It was what she needed and wanted. Jiyeon entered the library and let a small smile escape her notice. The library was one of her havens- it was quiet and serene, a total 180 change from the usual environment she was in most of the day.

As she scoured the shelves for her all-time favorite book, she noticed someone standing out from the other clumps or pairs of people scattered around the spacious room. This boy was sitting by himself, but he didn't look like a loner. He looked...sort of like...he /wanted/ to be alone. There was just this sort of aura around him that said 'I'm alone and I don't care.' Jiyeon looked away and told herself to turn off the curiousity switch. *Or at least /pretend/ you're not interested. Come on, you're an actress, Park Jiyeon.*

(( ew. that was gross. im sorry. im liek dead rn T_T ))
( s ) jung daehyun 11 years ago
@( a ) park jiyeon The quiet humming of the not-so lonely desktops filled up the library along with the occasional ripping sounds created by careless students roaming the school. Sure, Daehyun was careless, but he wasn't rude enough to provoke administration. Suspension and expulsion were not what he had in mind. He needed to stay here and maintain a good life and grades. He had to do that in order to make a name for himself.

Now, what was he doing in the library? He found himself pulling out some random book about how to sing higher without losing his breath easily. As if he needed that. He kept it anyway and chose a table where there wasn't much people. Secluded. Isolated. Very much wanted.
