Face Claims & Usernames
Every roleplayer will use a face claim of an idol/celebrity they wish (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, American, etc.). We will not be limiting your choices in order to have more players in the game from around the world. Your face claim's name will be the name that will be used if you were to roleplay in the real world.
Usernames will be your alias that will be shown to all players in Fioré Online, and will appear on the masterlist instead. You may choose your idol's stage name, nickname, or anything you would like to be called as long as it is not inappropriate. It is your choice to reveal your face claim's real name to other players in the game or keep it hidden. This will be the name that the other characters in the game will know your character by unless you revealed your character's real name to them.
Here is a link to a Fantasy Name Generator that will be able to help you think of a username if you are having trouble doing so.
Points System
This roleplay will incorporate the use of the points system feature that can be used for a variety of things such as:
Buying stat points
Leveling up
Upgrading skills
In order to get more points, you must post in the roleplaying rooms and/or try your luck in the Daily Lottery room. You will also gain points if you participate in challenges, duels and kill monsters. More ways to gain points will be added as the story of Fiore unravels.
Weapons
Each race will be given a starter weapon in the beginning and this weapon may be upgraded using points. The first upgrade will cost 100 points. The amount of points needed will increase by 50 points after every upgrade. So, the second upgrade will cost 150 points and the third will cost 200 points. Message one of the Gamemasters if you would like to enhance and you will receive an improved weapon. There may be times where you will be given a few different options in evolving your weapon. You will not be able to revert back into an older version unless you buy it in the weapon store and/or pick it up during a challenge. Information of the upgraded versions of each weapon will be found in this announcement.
This is a list of the starter weapons for each race:
Gnome - pair of wooden knuckles
Imp - wooden dagger
Leprechaun - wooden war hammer
Puca - wooden instrument (list)
Salamander - wooden spear
Spriggan - wooden sword
Sylph - wooden bow + plain arrows
Undine - wooden staff
Armor
Apart from your character's respective race clothing, armor will help enhance your defense. Armor can be bought in the Armory & Weapon with points and can be picked up and/or rewarded during challenges.
This is a list of the different kinds of armor:
Leather
Chainmail
Plate
Skills
Each race will also start with basic skills to use in battles that can be similarly increase by the use of points. You will start with three - one attack, one defense, and one magic. Upgrading and new skills can be bought using points. Message one of the Gamemasters if you would like to learn and/or upgrade an attack, defense, or magic skill. Starter skills will be listed in this announcement along with more skills, upgrades, and their costs for each.
Stats/Attributes
Like all rpg games, each character will have stats that will differ according to everyone's individual preferences. These stats will play a significant role during challenges and duel fights that will be explained in this announcement. Each attribute will hold a maximum of 12 stat points. 3 stat points will be given in the beginning and can be bought using points. Each stat point will be 500 points. 1 stat point will be rewarded after each level up. You can only purchase 2 stat point during each level apart from the one you are awarded and the two stat points will have to be bought on different days.. The amount of points needed will increase after every purchase. Stat points can be distributed however the character likes. PM the admins/GM's if you wish to purchase a stat point.
This is a list of the attributes for all characters:
Defense - high defense results in less damage taken
Agility - speed, reflexes; high agility results in high dodge rating
Vitality - stamina, energy; high vitality results in increased health
Intellect - the strength of magical skills
Dexterity - accuracy of long-ranged attacks (arrows, magic, etc.)
Levels
Similarly to most video games, characters will gain experience (or in this case, points) that will accumulate to increase your character's level. After each level up, 1 stat point will be given as a bonus. Reaching certain levels will gain you more access to more difficult challenges, stronger monsters, new places, and items.
You will need 1000 points to reach the second level, and will increase by 50 points after each level. So, for example, you will need 1050 points to get to the third level and then 1100 points to get to the fourth. Message the Gamemasters when you have enough to level up and we will subtract the points from your total.
NPC's & Monsters
In order to achieve higher levels, gain more points, and find rarer items, all players will have to fight monsters during challenges. These monsters will be roleplayed by the Gamemasters, and a player's victory and failure of the battle will be determined by the use of tabletop roleplaying that is explained in this announcement. NPC's are non-playable characters such as the vendor in the Armory & Weaponry that will provide you with equipment. They will also be roleplayed by the Gamemasters that will sell and buy like a real-life employee. You must ask the Gamemasters if you need to roleplay with an NPC and/or monster and we will gladly oblige. Please check the announcements for more information.
Inventory
Your inventory holds all of your character's belongings such as armor, weapon, and other items. A list of your inventory must be visible on your character profile, and should be kept updated. Once you have used up a consumable item like crystals that is explained below, it must be erased from your inventory. You are not allowed to randomly "find" and pick-up an item without a Gamemaster's knowledge. Only Gamemasters are able to add and take away items from a character's inventory.
This is the starter pack that everyone will automatically receive in the beginning:
Cloth armor
1 Health Crystal
1 Antidote Crystal
1 Transportation Crystal
Crystals
Crystals come in a variety of colors with different effects. Each crystal may be only used once. They can be bought in the Armory & Weaponry with points, picked up if it is needed in the challenge, and rewarded after completing a challenge and/or killing a monster.
This is a list of the kinds of crystals and its respective effects:
Antidote Crystal (yellow) - cures any status (paralysis, burning, etc.)
Teleportation Crystal (blue) - teleports the user to a chosen place
Corridor Crystal (blue w/ red dots) - opens a teleport gate to any location
Record Crystal (teal) - records what someone has said
Character Profiles
It is essential for all characters to have specific sections in their profile in order to lessen the confusion and would really help the Gamemasters out instead of having to ask each and every time. A background of your character's life in the real world, a description of your character's personality inside the game (can be similar from your background or be completely different), race, stats, skills, level, and inventory. Others not on the list can be included such as ooc info, character's basic info, plots, and relationships as long as the ones required are visible.
Preferrably, putting the stats, skills, and inventory on the "personal message" section of your profile and everything else on the "description" section would make it much clearer. However, it will not be heavily reinforced unless those three parts are hard to spot.
