Tao decided on taking himself out for ice cream, something he doesn't usually do. He opened the door and a cold breeze greeted him right in the face. He sighed and went in, hearing the staff say this line over an over, as if they were robots programmed to do so. He went to the counter and took one earpiece from his ear and stated his order. "Two scoops of red velvet and triple chocolate surprise and yes, that would mean four scoops." He said, matter-of-factly. He paid and waited for the bowl to be filled with his requests. He paid immediately and took the bowl. He turned around and was surprised to see, no one but him and a few other people were in the so-called "best ice cream parlor in town". He sat in the farthest corner, a place never touched by sunlight. He put his earphone back on and let the gloom consume him as he took slow intakes of the deliciously prepared ice cream in front of him. Somehow, he wasn't entertained and he longed for that, but nothing seemed to matter.
