@Jongin To her big surprise, Ahri heard a sweet little voice call out her name. Immediately, a smile drew itself on her plump lips before she turned around to see Yooyoung running towards her. She leaned down a bit to pat the young girl's head, greeting her with a warm smile. ''Hello there beautiful~'' she said, barely loud enough as she moved strands of the kid's hair behind her ear. As soon as she straightened up, she saw a tall figure that was following the girl, which made her blink a few times. Her cheeks slightly turned to a faint tint of pink as she noticed that it was Jongin, the brother that was always taking Yooyoung to the kindergarten. He still looked handsome, as always. The way he walked, the way he breathed, everything seemed perfect to the teacher's eyes. She lowered her head slowly, embarassed about the thoughts that were now crossing her mind.
After a few seconds of trying to calm her heart from beating so fast, she looked back up into the brown orbs she loved so much and smiled, once again. ''Nice to see you, Jongin.'' she said, nodding slowly and walking towards him to give him some greeting kisses. It was always one of her favourite part of the day since she got to be closer to the boy she found most attractive. His smile was enough to make her go crazy and she wouldn't mind getting to know him a little bit more, even though she knew that she was older than him.
Lay rolled his eyes at all the children. "Yah! Kim Jongdae" Lay said pointing to the younger male. "Stop acting all hurt. Aish you're probably the biggest child here." Lay continued to watch as the children gave him scary looks. The glare of one child actually freaked Lay out a bit so he decided to walk away from the group before anyone decides to attack him for making their little Chen cry.
Chen frowned and acted as if he was hurt, "Zhang Yixing hurt my poor little heart!" he fake sobbed and soon, the group of children gathered and comforted the trolling duckie. The children glared at Lay as if he was some bad person. Chen glanced at Lay evilly and continued to fake sob.
@Chen "Yahh!" Lay pushed Chen away a little more violent than he intended. "Sorry. Why would you do that? Look." Lay pointed at the children. "They're following your stupid example." Standing up, Lay turned to look at Chen. "And stop calling me a bag of oily potato chips." Lay looked away annoyed. "Why are we even here anyway? Did you come here to finally pass kindergarten?" The male chuckled to himself. Although Chen was Lay's best friend, he couldn't help but be so mean to him all the time. Sitting back down, Lay spoke "Seriously. Why are we here?"
@Lay Chen sat on a small kiddie bench and played with the small toy trucks, "Lay Lay! Look!" he yelled as he tugged his best friend's shirt and pointed at the small line of ants surrounding a small lollipop. Grabbed his toy truck, the male threw it, hitting the lollipop. Chen grinned as the small little children soon followed what he was doing; they all grabbed their toys and threw them at the ants. Laughing, Chen clutched his stomach and wrapped an arm around Lay's neck, head-locking him, "Lay Lay Lay~ Lays chips! Yum yum!" he yelled and ruffled the unicorn's hair
Jongin sighed as his car pulled into the parking lot in front of the kindergarten school. His hands still on the wheel, Jongin's eyes peered through the window on the driver's side, than shifted to the rear view mirror. As he glanced back, a bright smile lifted his once absent expression. A small face gazed back at him. Yooyoung, Jongin's younger sister, warmed Jongin's heart every time he saw her. Her black hair reached her hips; her large almond-shaped eyes framed her face, she was Jongin's sister in all aspects; except her skin tone. She was much lighter than Jongin.
Her eyesmile filled the hole in Jongin's existence. "You ready to go Yooyoung-ah?" Jongin asked. She nodded with enthusiasm. She loved attending school. "Yes! Can we go see Ms.Song now?" Yooyoung happily replied. Chuckling, Jongin nodded and unhooked the latch of his seat belt. He exited the front of the car and moved to the back seat, opening the car door. Jongin helped Yooyoung with her seat belt as well, making sure her backpack was in it's place and filled with everything she needed.
Ms.Song, or Ahri, was Yooyoung's teacher. She had been for the past few months, and she was definitely attractive. Despite their age difference, Jongin was able to depict that he loved Ahri's long brown hair, big eyes, and her way of taking care of kids. Ahri was a likable person, easy to get along with. But because of his own personal priorities, Jongin barely acted on any of this. As they entered, Yooyoung released her grip on Jongin's hand and ran straight to her room, calling for her teacher, with Jongin following behind.
@Jongin It was that time of the day again, the kids were about to arrive at the kindergarten for Ahri to take care of them while their parents were away. She had a sweet smile plastered on her face as she organized the toys on the floor and made sure that everything looked nice. She loved her job and it showed, she always felt so happy to see the faces of the kids she had to work with everyday. They were so young and full of energy, it felt as if she was going back to her childhood everytime she saw them play around and laugh. She missed the old days, when everything was so simple and the only thing you had to do was to have fun. Careless about everything that happened in the world, you only wanted to have new plushies and new cars to play around with. It was easy living as a child, but unfortunatly, people had to grow up someday. And since the children she was working with were still young, she always did her best to make them smile, hoping that it would be great memories for them as they'd end up growing up one day.
Another thing she always felt happy and excited about, was to see the brother of a young girl she took care of. Everyday, he was the one who dropped her off at the daycare and Ahri would always feel her heart beating faster everytime she'd see his face. The way he acted towards his little sister was something the girl enjoyed looking at. It showed that he loved her and that he took good care of her whenever he'd get the chance to do so. Also, she couldn't deny the fact that he was very good looking. The way he smiled always made her knees go weak for some reasons. He seemed mature even though he didn't look too old, and it was something she found attractive in a boy. The only she knew was his name, and everytime she heard it, she smiled to herself without even realizing it. Jongin, that boy was one of a kind and she would definitely want to know more about him instead of just greeting him everytime he dropped his little sister off to the place where she worked.
@Donghae She slightly furrowed her eyebrows as she heard his next words, and quickly lifted her head up to look at him. Was he playing around with her? Or was he being serious? Obviously, he couldn't be serious due to the fact that both of them knew each other way too much to even forget about the other's existence. She crossed her arms and sighed loudly enough for the boy to hear. She kept looking at him, wandering her eyes over his tall figure. ''What are you doing exactly?'' she blurted out, not too loud, not wanting the kids to think that something was happening between them. She tilted her head to the side and kept her big eyes glued in his. She wanted some answers, even though she was the one who left without saying anything, she still found him silly for acting this way when obviously, both of them were still kind of in love with each other. ''Are you trying to run from reality, maybe?'' she asked, knowing that she probably sounded cold. But she was actually hurt, and seeing him there was surprising. She didn't know he was the author that was supposed to come by the daycare to read stories to the kids, if she had known before.. he wouldn't be there right now. After a few seconds, she started feeling weak again and her head dropped low as her feet became the center of her attention. She slowly shook her head and let out a bitter laugh before closing her eyes and putting her hands in her face. She didn't want to cry, she didn't want to let her feelings show, especially not while he was right there, looking at her. She wanted to seem happy and strong when the kids were around, but right now, it seemed harder than she had thought. ''D- Donghae..'' she whispered, still keeping her head low. ''If you wanna act like you don't know me, fine.. but don't think that this is going to make me come back.'' she whispered, finally lifting her head back up to glance at him for a few seconds. After examining him for a little while, she turned around and took a deep breath, trying to get the happy smile that she had earlier, back on her face. ''Alright kids!'' she clapped her hands together. ''Let's go back inside, there's someone that wants to read you a story.'' she nodded slowly, doing her best to fake a true smile. The moment she turned around again to get back inside, she looked at him with an empty gaze and brushed her shoulder against his as she passed next to him.
Chen gripped his blanky and pouted. He pointed at his falled lollipop covered with ants, "My lollipop!" he whined and threw a tantrum, "I WANT MY LOLLIPOP!"
@Song Ahri "impossible" was the only word that could come out of his mouth as his eyes widen to the sight of the woman he loved, he still loved. He remembers the day she left him, left him there in a vulnerable place. All he could think of during every family dinner with his mother and her father were the fact that he was the one who gave birth to her, and he was the one holding his mother's hand right on the table. Donghae's eyes could never look away, his heart was shrinking inside, it was hurting him so much. She was the reason of 5 novels he had written, but never got the guts to send them to a publishing company because of the pain it contained inside. She was the reason why his career got so slow, because he couldn't created anything that had nothing to do with her. She was the reason he never was able to accept the heart of any girls, not even try. She had left him in such vulnerable place, it was painful... So painful to see that she was there, she was there but without them being a 'thing'.
He took a step back, eyes never getting off her. Gripping onto his shoulder bag to keep his hands from shaking. "You" He mumbled, still shock of seeing her here. "Ah" He mumbled quietly, "Ri" He whispered loud enough for only him to hear. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "how do you know my name?" He asked in a more relaxed tone, as if he had no clue of who she was. It was true, he had no idea of who this girl was, the ahri he knew would have never left him, she would have stayed by his side no matter what.
"Oh I'm sorry, you must know my name because I'm the author who was supposed to come here, right?" He asked with a soft smile. "Am I too late? Do I still have the chance to read for the kids? It would be much appreciated if I did" He said with a nod, looking around in the park, trying his /best/ to keep his cool. It was almost as hard as when she left him, to pretend as if he had no clue of her. He looked at his watch, then putting his hands back into his pocket as he forced a smile, the kind of smile you do when you are in an awkward situation, or when you see someone stand there in a frozen position while you're here just waiting for an answer. It's not as if he could show her a true smile, how could he? He hadn't /had/ a real smile for 4 years.
@Donghae Today was a normal day for Ahri since she was still at work, taking care of kids. She had always loved playing with children, which is why she decided to open a daycare / kindergarten. She spent most of her days here, enjoying herself as she always smiled due to how funny and adorable the little kids were. She had a bubbly personality, which is why she felt like she could understand them clearly. She could easily play with them and have as much fun as them for some reasons. Yes, she was an adult and she knew how to be mature as well. But having fun was something important for her, and she wanted the children to feel the same way. She wanted to make them feel like if they were at home with her, here, in this colorful place. She couldn't help but grin and giggle quietly as she watched them play in the courtyard, admiring how young and innocent they were. A soft sigh came out from inbetween her pinkish lips as she remembered her past.
A few years ago, she fell in love. She felt like if she was living in a romance novel or something like that. Everytime she saw that boy, that made her heart beat faster with only a single glance, she knew that it was love she was feeling towards him. They both spent a lot of time together, going on dates, laughing, smiling. Everything was perfect to Ahri, and obviously, she didn't want anything if this to end. She was living a dream and every girl needs her own dream, right? Unfortunately, that day came and the fairytale got destroyed. Her own mother ended up dating the boy's father, which made them step-brother/sister. Knowing that she wouldn't be able to spend most of her days with him as his girlfriend was harder than it seemed. When she had to walk away from him because only seeing him was hurting her deep inside, she knew that she would have to find someone else. She was probably selfish about all of this, but she didn't want to stay heart broken forever, so she decided to leave the town and move away. She was old enough to do so anyway, so why not? She ended up as a kindergarten teacher, something she loved more than anything, and it was enough for her to take her mind off of every thing that once made her heart ache.
The years passed by and here she was today, enjoying the sun that was landing on her pale white skin, waiting for an author that would read a story to the kids before they'd go take a nap. She had her arms crossed against her chest and her gaze was following the smaller ones that kept running around, laughing loudly as they did so. She smiled softly and before she could do anything else, she heard a manly voice coming from behind her. She widened her eyes slowly, and decided to turn around to see who the man was. The moment she saw his face, she felt as if her heart stopped beating. Her doe eyes blinked a few times and her plump lips parted for a few seconds, not believing who she was actually seeing. ''I- I.. Donghae?'' she muttered, unable to say anything else. Her limbs fell to the sides of her body, as if she was about to fall to the ground. Instead, she stayed on her own two feet and avoided the other's gaze by looking at her hands that were nervously playing together. ''It's alright.. I- I mean for being late. It's nothing.'' she nodded slowly, trying her best to act as if nothing was hurting. After all, almost four years had passed by, leaving her the time to forget about all her feelings. But she didn't have enough time as it seemed, she was still kind of hurting by seeing him standing there, right in front of her.
It was a new day, a sunny day. Donghae was going further into his career, everyday. Well, at least to him he was. If it was for reading stories he wrote to kids or just giving a novel he wrote to a publishing company, it was all advancing to him. Today, he was going to read one of his stories for kids. He had done it several times, for some reason it eased him on his thoughts of his future, it made him feel more of an author, specially when the kids enjoyed the story in the end. Stories he wrote for kids weren't much of effort for him, it was like a scribble. He didn't put much work in his mind to make up stories, but it somehow still made him happy to know someone appreciated the slightest effort he put in something.
He was more of a car-less boy, he liked to walk around town, take the bus or subway to go to places. So here he was, sitting on the subway seat, waiting for his stop to come. Little did he know, he had just past it, and that was just like Donghae to do that without even realizing it. After an hour of running around, 30 minutes late to the appointment to the kindergarten place, panting heavily as he held onto the door frame for support. He looked around for the people, for the kids and for the supervisors and for a human for god's sake, no one was there. He walked further into the place, searching for a living being among the silence that filled up the room. Were they outside in the park? Were they taking a nap?
He then heard laughing noises, coming from kids if he was right. He took a look outside the window and noticed he had it right. He took and deep breath to relax himself from stressing so much after coming here late and finally decided to take his step to the courtyard. Noticing the back figure of a female, not so tall but tall enough to be a supervisor, special by the way she was standing, she was probably looking out for the kids. He cleared his throat, pushing his viewing glasses up on the bridge of his nose and trying not to look snob, specially after coming late. "I'm sorry... I'm the author who was supposed to read a story for the kids... I believe I've lost myself on the way here. My apologies for coming here late" He tried to speak in a mature way as he stood straight, hands in his back, just playing with them nervously, and /secretly/.
