FAQ
If you have any questions about your abilities, your character, your sector, or this RP in general, please ask them here. Below are some commonly asked questions/things we thought you should know.
001. How do battles here work?
Battles/fights here will be written and directed by yourselves. We won't have you spam with "CHARACTER A ATTACKS CHARACTER B!!!" Quite frankly, that's a little annoying to read. A battle may go something like this:
Character A leapt at Character B with balled fists, seething. "Let's see how brave you are without your friends, coward!"
...And Character B would retaliate. That's all there is to it!
002. Who wins a battle?
That's up to you and the person that you're fighting. Again, be realistic. One character isn't always going to win every battle. Also, take note of the sector and relative experience of your opponent. An Ignis student isn't likely to do well against an equally experienced Aqua student. Likewise, an older, more experienced student is likely to win against a newbie.
In the case of a battle between two students of the same rank, if a fairer system is desired, each student may roll the dice once. The person who rolls the higher number wins the battle. If there is a tie, roll again. Again, this way of battle is optional.
003. How do my abilities work?
Check the section on ability in this roleplay's description. You can interpret those descriptions yourselves. However, do not use your abilities to god-mod. If any of you see someone god-modding, hit them in the head with a rock tell them to stop.
Also, do not make your character invincible. Aqua students, your ability to heal does not mean you can heal yourself after being knocked out.
004. Which Sector is Ignis good against?
Ignis beats Terra (Like a fire burning plants.)
Terra beats Ventus (Throw a rock on a windy day, and the rock will still be a rock.)
Ventus beats Aqua (I have no explanation for this. It just happened.)
Aqua beats Ignis (Uh duh.)
This is still tentative. If any of you have objections, post them here. Not in the OOC Room, but here.
005. How does the whole mission thing work?
There will be titles of available missions and you can request them in the Student Council Headquarters. The room is in character. Pick a title that seems interesting and make your character ask for it. For example...
-Character A looked at the bulletin, scratching his head. "Hmm. ___ seems interesting. I guess I'll take a stab at it." He walked over and signed his name.
There will be specific amounts of activity points awarded for each mission. You will write out how your character does the mission in the room the mission requires. Keep in mind that missions are meant to be tough and you should make it so that your character actually works to finish it.
-Character A panted as he ran, blood dripping from his open cut into his eye. Not a good idea, he thought to himself. He flinched as he heard a roar and pumped his legs faster.
Some missions require powers and others do not. Bolded missions require powers, specific requirements will be listed under the mission.
Your character may set up a mission for other characters to do, but you must offer an activity point award, x. On completion, x points will be taken away from you and awarded to the character that finished the mission. For example:
Raid Night; for Character A; x points. Character A needs someone to infiltrate ___ dorms and paint Character B's room pink as revenge.
Give the title of the mission to an admin and pm them the description. Anyone can suggest missions, as long as it does not involve doing something for your character like the example above.
You need to have multiple posts and will be interacting with someone or something. If the mission includes a beast of some sort, you will be required to interact with the beast. Most likely, it will be the admin on the Thanatos NPC account. Be warned, they will be able to slightly god mod to make the mission even more difficult.
006. Who the hell is Ahreum, and why did she just bite me?
Ahreum is our resident troll. Don't mind him/her. He/she is a little crazy and will not speak to you civilly.
007. What's up with the wishing well?
It's an in-character wishlist. Just have your character throw something in the well as compensation for the wish.
Character A leaned against the well, sighing. He threw up a coin and caught it, letting it dance around in his hand. He looked around cautiously, making sure there were no bystanders. "I wish ____ would like me back." He threw the coin into the well and walked away, shaking his head.
You will be able to have an OOC wishlist. Post what you want in OOC and that will be put up. So yes, it's an in-character and out-of-character wishlist.
[[ Luhan wishes for more exo buddies. /shot]]
Yes, that will be put up.
