MOVING NOTICE: Thanatos is to be renovated. Instead of revamping, the admins have decided on creating a new roleplay. It will be under the same name, but many things will have been changed.

@Luhan "Alright," Sungjae nodded. There was a wheelchair by his bed, he noticed. The nurse had probably left it there for him, assuming that Luhan would help him into it eventually. Watching Luhan's retreating figure, Sungjae was sure that wouldn't happen any time soon. Still, he had no intention of calling the nurse. She'd just give him the same c rap about how he wasn't supposed to be up and that it would damage his body.

Stupid woman didn't know his power. But how was he supposed to get into the wheelchair if he couldn't even stand?

/Let me help you. I had not wanted to assume my form so soon, but I guess this is for the best./ Seth sighed. /In the future, when you learn to shapeshift, you won't need such things anymore./

An icy sensation gripped from Sungjae's body as violet flames began to dance around him. They moved away, assuming the transparent form of Seth. The man smiled and unfolded the wheelchair, carefully scooping Sungjae into his arms and placing him in it. As quick as he had come, he disappeared and the flames shot back into Sungjae's chest.

"That was...odd," Sungjae thought aloud, slowly wheeling himself out of the room.

/Get used to it,/ Seth laughed. /I'll be doing it much more often in the future./

"Let's go."

/Yes, let's./

@Yook Sungjae Luhan relaxed slightly, shoulders losing their tension. Despite the broken words, his eyes remained their bright black. "Sorry," he murmured, not sure if he was actually sorry. He scooted forward, just a tiny bit, still guarded. His friends, his demons shifted uncomfortably.

"I have matters to attend to," he said suddenly, feeling rather uncomfortable. "I suppose I shall see you later." he got up from the chair, looking around the pristine room, ever watching Sungjae through the reflections they casted.

"Call the nurse if you feel uncomfortable."

@Luhan /Careful! You're supposed to be in pain./ Seth murmured. Sungjae shifted slightly, letting out a seemingly suppressed gasp of pain.

"Luhan, you're still being detached." he sighed, his face the very picture of dejection. "I know I can never be my brother, but please, please..." Turning away he lowered his head. "Don't treat me like a stranger. I-" A sob. "I don't want to be alone again. A-and you're...all I have."

/That's enough./ Seth warned. /You're starting to actually believe what you say. That isn't good./

/Luhan is dangerous. He is your enemy. Remember that./

/And you are never alone. You have me./

@Yook Sungjae Luhan turned around, but made no other move to come closer to the boy- something was off and he knew it. Or was he just being scared? There was something not human about the whole thing. The guy just jumped into a row of jagged rocks- lost complete control over his lower body and he's laughing like nothing has ever happened- this is just not right, and Luhan is anything but dumb and slow.

And as Sungjae sits up, he knows there's something not right. Healing is powerful, but it doesn't eliminate the dull ache in you- you still wake up feeling like _____. There's no awkwardness as the boy sits up, and Luhan is instantly wary again.

His eyes burn black and he just observes the boy.

"That's good, Sungjae. Good to hear." He drags the chair to him via telekinesis and sits by the window.

@Luhan "I'm good, thanks!" Sungjae laughed, the sound almost like the pealing of silver bells. Giving Luhan the typical, gentle smile he had always sported before, he gestured for the head boy to come. "Please don't be so formal with me. We're friends, aren't we?"

Sitting up in his bed, he could feel the difference in himself. His senses were far more acute; he could hear Luhan's heartbeat, feel his wariness. /Be careful,/ Seth warned. /Luhan has some of the spiritual power of a demon. If you're too obvious, he'll sense that you're dangerous./

Sunlight streaked through the windows, illuminating the off-white sheets gathered over his mangled, bandaged legs. He turned back to Luhan and smiled.

Revenge would have to wait.

@Yook Sungjae "Fine," Luhan intoned coldly, not liking what the sinister smile was implying for him. "And you?" He asks out of courtesy. However, his gut is churning and it's like he always has a f ucking hyperactive danger radar. It's going off the scales and he usually passes it off as just his paranoia kicking in but something tells him, /it's not your f ucking paranoia, you dipshhit./

So he backs away, and grabs a glass and a pitcher and sets it on the nightstand, before striding to look out of the window.

He doesn't know what happening but he sure as f uck isn't a saint, and isn't a martyr. He can't tell if the danger is radiating from Sungjae- brilliant, innocent, kind Sungjae, who is not as brilliant or innocent or kind anymore- or if it's from some kid he pissed off earlier.

But self-preservation is part of him, hell, it's like 50% of him and he's not sure he would sacrifice himself for Sungjae. Maybe. Maybe not.

He always was a cruel, heartless bastard, he thinks even as his grey eyes never stop scanning the reflection from the glass in the window.

He's waiting.

He can feel the power growing.

He can feel his eyes darken and he can feel every negative emotion coursing through his veins, poisoning him slowly and robbing him of sense and rationality.


He's ready to fight.

Blood, he thinks. Blood, /he thinks./



Because he is the demon.

@Luhan "Ah, how are you?" Sungjae's thoughts slowly settled down so that they were no longer a muddled blur of emotions. He could hear Seth's voice clearly now, pressing against his consciousness.

/I'm sorry. I didn't know how the price would manifest itself and I...I'm so sorry, Sungjae, please forgive me. I just wanted to help./

/It's okay,/ Sungjae thought back. /I don't mind./ The power coursing through his body was tangible; it seeped through every bone and every vein in his once-frail form, filling him with a strength, and a hope, that he never knew he would experience.

And a thirst for revenge. Sungjae smiled viciously to himself. He had paid the price of his legs for this power, and it had been a good price.

Now his brother's murderer's would pay in blood, and In-guk would live again.

"Hello, Sungjae." Luhan responded evenly. Deciding to just give in, he scooted his chair closer to the boy.

@Luhan Sungjae's face lit up at the sound of Luhan's voice. "Luhan!" he exclaimed, smiling brightly. "Come here, I'm lonely."

@Yook Sungjae Luhan jolted from his uneasy slumber, the unnatural laughs causing goosebumps. What is going on, he wonders. Has he gone insane? And he tastes fear, and it's so familiar. It's bitter across his palette and churning in his stomach and shivers down his spine.

"Sungjae," he called, voice smooth as silk. God damn it, sometimes he hates how unruffled he is after everything. He could scream himself deaf, before continuing a conversation with no indications of f ucking anything.

It's a f ucking curse, he swears.

He doesn't know just how right he is.

Sungjae blinked the sleepiness out of his eyes. Immediately, a throbbing, incessant pain took its place in his head. What had happened? Last he remembered, he was talking to that strange man...Seth, was it? There was that suffocating feeling, and then...

There was a fall. A crack. Then pain pain white hot liquid pain oh god HIS LEGS it hurt it HURT SO MUCH.

Sungjae let out a trembling breath, before slowly reaching for his legs. Nothing. He felt nothing from the waist down, and his legs wouldn't move god DAMN IT ALL WHY COULDN'T HE MOVE?

A price. A price for everything. It all made sense now. Sungjae giggled hysterically. A price to be paid. His legs.

His freedom.

@Ka-eun [Semi-Hiatus ~June] Seriously, the more he thought about it, the more he was sure he was going to explode. He stopped in his tracks, rubbing a hand wearily over his face. Sure that the girl was going to notice, he waved a hand, dismissing her- or telling to go forward without him. He could teleport to her.

No, this /girl/ just ticked him off and he couldn't risk blowing up at her. No, he had better not. Though he was the runt of the trio of olden times, what he lacked in physical strength, he made up for in sheer power.

Of course, he would never willingly smash a first rank to pieces, but he was not really sane at times, right?

He laughed, the sound completely devoid of joy.

Sane. What a funny word.

Who was anyone to label him as sane or insane? Hmph.

@Luhan The hallways were silent and the only thing that could be heard was the clacking of shoes against the cold floor. Kaeun was almost relieved, finally being able to leave.

The only problem would be if her guardians were contacted.

But as of now, she didn't have to worry about that.

The silence didn't bother Kaeun and actually helped her calm herself. The presence of the male alone besides her irked Kaeun but she stayed calm. No use doing anything now, since she was leaving.

@Ka-eun [Semi-Hiatus ~June] Luhan shrugged, demeanor unaffected. He really didn't care a fig for whatever the girl's problem was- truly, he'd dealt with a good portion of delinquents. They really were all the same, huh?

They thought they had it hard.

They thought that they had ing mother-father issues.

What did they know about issues in the house?

Obviously nothing.

Luhan hated people who pitied themselves. He hated those who used the excuse of a "bad background" to walk around bullying or breaking rules.

They had no real excuse.

No, once they had gone through what he had- that was when they could complain about issues at home.

Suddenly he found himself more agitated.

@Luhan Kaeun had to stop herself from scoffing when the other took the time to fix his appearance, his words completely leaving her ears.

'What a goody-two shoes,' she thought to herself. Then again, it was the head boy she was with.

The thought of a head boy almost got Kaeun laughing, reminding her of the previous males she had gotten in trouble with. Most of the ones with authority were pretty much the same. They were in the favor of the teachers and disliked by the students, or vise versa.

@Ka-eun [Semi-Hiatus ~June] "Don't mock me," Luhan intoned calmly, face glowing with false innocence. "You might find that the infirmary might become much more familiar. Just by accident, you know? Accidents happen a lot here." He said sadly, shaking his head.

"I try to prevent them from happening though," he bit back coldly, sarcastic remark obviously directed at her. He rolled his eyes and fixed his appearance slightly, as if he had not been touched. Not a hair out of place, that was the way he liked his appearance to be.

Perfect.

Luhan smiled to himself.

@Luhan @Bang Yongguk ((Oh. My. God. This must be the latest reply of all replies ever. I'm so sorry T^T))At the male's voice Kaeun rolled her eyes. "Even cursing now huh, head boy?" she muttered. Kaeun knew enough to keep her voice low and not to say anything. But if it was that the school was meant for fighting, then how was it possible that she would be expelled for being 'hazardous'?. It wasn't like she attacked anyone anyways, which the male clearly stated wasn't completely against the rules.Kaeun allowed a small sigh to escape her lips. Once again she was in this position, walking down to the main office with some person with authority, claiming to take her back home. All the schools were truly the same. A student's performance, their academics, mattered much more than the students themselves. Teachers only did their job.How many schools had she been expelled from? It was too much to count. It was a wonder that she still managed to get to this particular school, since moat schools didn't accept someone with a record such as hers. But thinking of leaving almost made Kaeun smile, since no other school would probably accept her. Which meant no school to have to deal with. That suited Kaeun perfectly fine.

@Ka-eun Luhan snarled at the girl, ready to send her flying into next week- before he pushed his temper back down and bit out, "Don't touch me." He swore loudly and smashed his hand against the wall, the sound echoing through the halls. "Don't you ever fxcking touch me unless you want to be sent into next week."

Stalking after her, ignoring her demand for him not to her anywhere, he continued, "You presume much." He laughed bitterly. "I'm a hazard, alright. A very dangerous one. Unlike some, though, I can control myself- otherwise you would be back in the infirmary, maybe even a grave."

"Don't be so sure of yourself, this school is made for fighting. I can fight you whenever and wherever." He snarled under his breath. Slowing down as to walk behind the hostile girl, he kept his head up, and walked haughtily behind her. His vision pulsed with red before he shoved it away.

She was merely a rebellious Aqua student and soon she would be gone anyway.

@Luhan In a fit of anger, Kaeun grabbed the male and pushed him against the wall while glowering. It was an irrational move and she knew it but didn't pull away. The male was the head boy, and as far as she knew he couldn't use his power against her. As far as she knew- key phrase. Kaeun made a strange noise close to a hostile cat's hiss and narrowed her eyes. "Shut. Up." She had already said she was leaving, and now it almost seemed like he was only taunting her. "I'm leaving so shut the hell up," she growled before completely pulling away and walking to her dorm at a brisk pace.

Acting as if nothing happened, Kaeun moved forwards. "I'm not staying and I don't want you out of all people escorting my ___ anywhere," she said in her normal tone- the cold one. "And don't give me the hazardous sh!t. Everyone in this damned school poses a danger," she abruptly stopped and turned, "Including you."

Kaeun walked with no care in the world left, determind to leave the school as soon as she was done talking. The male she was with at the moment bothered her. But then again, everything anyone did bothered her. People were like flies. Meaningless creatures that buzzed around in trash. That's what Kaeun thought.

@Ka-eun Following the girl silently, a feeling a smug, almost superiority, dawned upon him. However, Luhan kept his face studiously bored, looking around every so often at the familiar halls of the academy. Checking his watch leisurely, he fell behind the girl, walking at a languid pace. "Of course," he commented smoothly, "you could always wait ten minutes until your period of waiting is up, but leaving the school is up to you." Shrugging as he stopped and leaned against the wall, he observed her closely.

"Keep in mind, however, if you decide to stay, you will have to abide by the rules- unless you want me escorting you anywhere else." He snapped his fingers, keeping his face blank. "Make a quick decision. I have places to be."

Kaeun scoffed at the male's confidence.In truth, she almost wanted to be out of this school as much as the male wanted her to leave. She knew no one here and had no use of being here other then to learn to control her powers. And surely, she could do that on her own.Kaeun just walked alongside the male and said nothing as they walked towards her dorm.

She had nothing much to pack and could easily have told that to the male, but she didn't care enough to open . Being that Kaeun didn't care much for the school and that she was new here, Kaeun didn't have much that she wished to bring home. The only possesions she had were some clothes she brought for the semester.

That would have to do.

@Ka-eun "Now," Luhan called flippantly. Those willing to go didn't deserve to be in the famed halls of his home. "Meet me in the headquarters and we'll settle everything and you'll be free." Teleporting to her side, he fell in step with her, face just as blank as hers. He was a shell now, what did he care for what she thought of him?

As far as he was concerned, the students of Thanatos would only be the best of the best- of course there would be more volatile students and more passive ones- but ones who could not, would not obey rules were not fit to be in the academy. Whether she cared little for her own health, or for others, he did not care. She was breaking hazards- ones that kept the school safe and prestigious compared to the other slums were the strict rules he had helped implement.

He was not going to let some /girl/ spit in the face of his hard work. No, months and months of campaigning, only to have them refused by a simple student of little or no significance as of recently, would not do.

"I'll be escorting you to your dorms and out of the school," he continued on calmly. "To make sure you pose no more other hazards." Locking down his fury, he waited serenely for her- undoubtedly, a sarcastic one.
