MOVING NOTICE: Thanatos is to be renovated. Instead of revamping, the admins have decided on creating a new roleplay. It will be under the same name, but many things will have been changed.

@Luhan In-guk cursed internally. That fool. His current form, a vapory vision, could not interfere so much with the living world. The ramifications it would have on his soul and his spiritual afterlife were dire. Still, he couldn't just let the man he'd died for just up and /kill/ himself.

Gliding quickly over the sand, he submerged himself underwater, the waves not even wetting his ghostly figure. He did not have the substance to physically pull Luhan out of the ocean, but he could at least tell the damn fool to /get the hell out of the ocean./

True, Seth most likely could not be reawakened if Luhan were dead. But In-guk wasn't about to let his own sacrifice go to waste. /Luhan./ he urged, hoping the boy could hear him. /Luhan, stop being an idiot./

Staying at one place and doing nothing was things the jda would never do. She took sometime to get used to the academy but she settled in well. As soon as she started to get bored she decided to explore around.

She walked around the cove for a while until she felt like resting. She looked around to see of anyone was around then lay down on the wet sand

Luhan walked slowly along the shore, the black never really receding from his eyes. He lay down on the sandy beach, fingers grasping through the sand, feeling the fine grains abuse his skin. The tide came in, dragging a delicate porcelain doll along with it. The doll was sinking, sinking, before it hit the sandy bottom. His hair billowed around him, moving with the currents. He lay in the cold, cold water and for one moment in his whole miserable life, he felt complete. He felt calm- there were no pricks of fear, there was no irrational paranoia- nothing. Just the waves that crashed on the beach and the cold water that swirled around him.

Isn't this great, he whispered to himself.


Just wonderful, replies his demon.

In-guk floated down the cove steps, breathing hard. Or, at least, going through the motions of breathing hard. He hadn't taken a real breath in...how long had it been? No matter. He was back for a purpose.

It hadn't been easy to obtain enough power from the cove to sustain this ghostly form, but the energy swirling around the area helped. He needed to talk to Luhan. Sungjae was too far gone to parley with, and his only chance of saving his little brother's life rested in his closest friend and only love's hands.

Unfortunately, said love was his brother's mortal enemy.

@Chunji Finally regaining his strength, Chanhee hopped to his feet and walked around the island, on the look out for any beasts.

It had been at least half an hour since he had been walking around and damn, not a single sound was to be heard.

So he let down his guard slightly...

and that was when he realized he was screwed. Stilling himself, he gulped down air nervously, feeling the panting of the beast. Judging by its breathing... /f uck, he was so screwed./

Summoning up all the energy he could, he took off at a sprint, zig-zagging around the island.

The beast was close on his tail, only thing keeping it off was the erratic paths of Chanhee's running.

He was losing speed and the anticipating growl of the beast alerted him to the fact that he would not make it out alive if he continued to run.

So he signed off on his imaginary will and turned around.

Chanhee finally managed to find his way to the cove without getting lost. It was time to attempt his mission. His stomach churned with nerves and suddenly he had his doubts about actually doing the mission. He dipped a foot in to the water gingerly, sighing in relief when it wasn't terribly cold. As he looked off into the distance to find the island, he swore under his breath.

Damn, damn, damn it all. What had he gotten himself into?

Quickly taking off his shirt and stuffing it in the small waterproofed bag- which was really just a backpack in a plastic bag- he walked into the water and started off with strong . After getting halfway to the island, Chanhee found himself wet, tired, cold and miserable.

Damn him and his need to always be doing something.

Drawing what measly energy he could from the earth, he continued on his way to the island. After several trying times in which he ended up being knocked off course, he found himself on the shore of the island.

"I feel like dying," he gasped out, rolling onto his feet. Bolstering his flagging strength with the energy in the earth, he took a step forward and braced himself. He hurriedly threw on his shirt, feeling the chill of water and wind.

"Maybe I should just stay here for a bit before tackling a beast with the potential to maul me to death..."

@Yook Sungjae Luhan sighed, a crease marring his face. "That's exactly what In-guk said, you know." He looked away, swallowing the lump in his throat. "White is just the color of purity and all things good. By nature, it's more beautiful than black." He looked at Sungjae, eyes lingering for a bit longer than he had intended. 'Stop that- it's In-guk's brother; off-limits, off-limits, control yourself.'

He shook his head and brought them back to the Aqua dorms. The small gust of wind intermingled with the gentle sea breeze and sent the sand into a small frenzy. The small particles dropped back down and barely left any trace that they had been standing there.

Sungjae managed a frown as he leaned into Luhan. "Don't say that about yourself." He muttered, feeling dizzier by the moment. "I know you may think of yourself as a black cat, but what makes a white cat more beautiful than a black one? My brother...he loves you a lot. That counts for something." His last words were spoken in a slight bittersweet tone.
He knew In-guk loved Luhan. No matter what feelings Sungjae had developed for the head boy he had only ever seen in pictures and in his brother's stories, he would never try to be his brother's rival. In-guk was too dear to him for him to do so.

@Yook Sungjae Luhan shifted Sungjae, throwing the boy's arm around his neck and supporting his body weight. "Don't do that next time," he warned. "I'm not worth it." He stumbled forward a bit, trying to adjust to the feeling of extra weight. "The dorms?"

On a scale from one to ten, the amount of similarities would amount to a whopping eight. He focused on the aqua dorms- he had been in there once, for some reason that he could not recall.

The similarities would just keep racking up.

Sungjae noticed Luhan wincing and placed his hand on the head boy's knee, healing it. The strain caused him to completely collapse from exhaustion, his somewhat frail physique not suited for healing so much. Like his brother, he had pretty terrible judgement and was often making rash decisions. He leaned limply on Luhan's shoulders. "Sorry," he mumbled woozily. "I'm not exactly the strongest person."

@Yook Sungjae Luhan shook his head and put on a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, ignoring the pain shooting through him. "I'm fine. Are you sure you don't want me to bring you to the dorms?"

He winced slightly as he went down into a kneeling position, making mental notes of his injuries. Damn, he must have busted a kneecap- and judging by how faint he was, probably lost a bit of blood, how he lost it was a mystery. Shifting uncomfortably, the best he could do as of now was hope he could hold out until he was back in his dorms.

@Luhan Hearing Luhan's groan of pain, Sungjae swore. "Dammit, I knew I didn't completely heal you!" Trying to stand up, he stumbled, feeling slightly dizzy. "Ah, sorry. I'm fine, just a little woozy."

@Yook Sungjae Luhan squinted at the bright sky. Was he dead already? He slowly sat up, the world spinning around him. He cleared his throat once, looking around him. Well, if hell looked exactly like the cove he was dead, he thought grimly.

He sat for a bit, just staring out into the ocean, before looking around him. "S-sungjae? Hey, you ok?" He got up quickly, groaning at the pain before quickly going to the boy's side.

"You look a bit faint. Do you want me to bring you to your dorms?"

@Luhan "I- hey!" Sungjae folded the letter before stuffing it into his pocket, moving to clean the blood off of Luhan. Propping the head boy's head onto his knees, he gently prodded his chest. A rib was obviously broken, and judging by the blood, it had probably punctured a lung. He had to work quickly.

Healing had always come naturally to Sungjae, unlike summoning water. Placing his hand lightly on Luhan's body, he envisioned the rib coming back together, the cuts on his lung healing, and every little scrape and scratch on every part of his body disappearing.

He fell backwards, panting from the exertion and feeling slightly faint. Luhan should be perfectly healed by now.

@Yook Sungjae Luhan sat and absorbed everything Sungjae told him. "I-" was all he could get out before coughing up a mix of seawater and blood. He coughed and coughed until his vision edged with black and turned fuzzy.

He reached into a pocket and drew out the letter In-guk gave him. He pressed it into Sungjae's hand, before laying down, wincing as he did so. One of his ribs were broken and had punctured his lung. He panted and pain shot through his whole body and made him dizzy.

"In-guk's-" Cough. Pant.


Blackness.

@Luhan Sungjae blinked in recognition. It was Luhan, the guy in his picture. He sighed, pulling Luhan so that he was sitting up.

"I'm Yook Sungjae," he smiled brightly. "I'm In-guk's half-brother. Look, dying isn't going to do you any good. No matter what, there's always something for you to live for. That's what my hyung has always told me."

He squatted down, wiping Luhan's eyes and holding out his hand. "You're Luhan, right? In-guk's told me all about you." He looked closer, taking in the ash on the other student's clothes and his battered appearance. His smile faltered.
"W-where's my brother?"

@Yook Sungjae Luhan's gaze blurred and then sharpened, focusing on a familiar face. "In-guk?" He coughed out weakly. "Is that you?"

And he realized it was not him. He was not dead yet. So he struggled weakly. "Just leave me. Leave me to die... Please." Tear dropped into the ocean, the ocean of tears.
