@jung daehyun Tiffany smiled softly at his words, nodding in response.
"I'm sorry for everything... Daehyun..." she said softly. She didn't know what else she could say to make this situation less suffocating. She knew she had hurt him badly ad it was going to take sometime for him and her to heal and meet each other again with smiling faces, but she didn't want their friendship with falter...
Was that too much to ask?
Tiffany had a surprised look on her face as she saw Daehyun running away after his goodbye. She called after him, not wanting the boy to do something reckless at the spur of the moment. Tiffany knew she wasn't going to be able to catch up with him. She knew how fast of a runner he was.
Quickly going back to her car, she the engine and started to drive to the direction he had taken off to.
@hwang miyoung Daehun could barely nod at her words. Its just...it hurts too much. When seeing her held out hand, he gently took it and shook it.
He forced another smile. "Thanks....thank you f-for letting me..l-love you."Daehyun almost said in a whisper. He was hoping that he didn't say those words. But maybe, it was too late now.
"Even if you left a few...few scratches in my path. I-I wont forget about you...I wont and never forget...a-about m-my f-fir--first l-love."
And with what he said, he gave one more smile and left the park with the use of running. And as he run, he could feel all those things coming back again. All those sweet memories...all those sweet memories that left a huge amount of pain in him. He could still feel tears rolling out of his eyes and a few people was looking at him.
@jung daehyun "I got... engaged... That was their reason they sent me to France. So I could meet him." she said softly. "I'm so sorry, Daehyun..." she said, looking down to the ground below her.
Tiffany nodded, her face expressionless when Daehyun said his final words towards their relationship.
'Maybe this is a great chance that we could do...do a formal...good...goodbye.'
"Yeah... I guess your right." she said weakly.
Brushing her tears away, she smiled and held out a hand.
"I'm sorry... and thank you for loving me and not forgetting about me these past seven years..."
@hwang miyoung Once her fingers landed on his wipe to wipe his tears, he tied to take one step away more. He needed to get out of her space though, it already hurts and this...everything taht was happening is hurting him more.
'I missed you too.. A lot.. I.. I could forget about you.. I felt so guilty..'
If the atmosphere wasn't like this, he would have been cheering like heck on what she said. He couldn't believe that she misses him as well. Daehyun, he keeps on concluding that Miyoung already had forgotten about him and then and now...it was a bitter feeling that the fact he wanted to smile at what she said but instead he looks like a chicken now.
And then...she said her reason of leaving him unattended. On the other side of himself, was starting to build up anger in him but he didn't have time to be show it.
What was the reason?
Daehyun looked down when he realized what may be the answer. He held her hand and gently took them away from his face.
Maybe because...her parents doesn't want them to be together..maybe because they really weren't meant for each other..maybe because there's a more genuine man than him for her.
Maybe because..their destiny wasn't really crossed than he thought it would be.
He took a shaky breath and looked deep in her eyes. He let go of holding her hands and tried to force a smile.
"Then..maybe this is a great chance Miyoung."he said. He knows that the next words he might say would make him regret but at the same time, it would make him feel free, hopefully.
Hopefully, free from all those feelings and heartbreaks.
"Maybe this is a great chance that we could do...do a formal...good...goodbye."
@jung daehyun Just then, Tiffany's tears started to fall once more. "DaeDae... I'm sorry.." She said softly, taking a step closer to him and wiping his tears.
'I-I..just..just mi...missed y..you'
Those words made her feel so awful... She continued to wipe away his tears, brushing his bangs to the side and away from his eyes.
"I missed you too.. A lot.. I.. I could forget about you.. I felt so guilty.." She said softly, trying to tell him how she felt while they were apart.
"M..my parents.. They made me leave for France saying that it was the best for be... They had already sent all my stuff over to the house in France and they gave me my plane ticket and just shipped me off... Without giving me the chance to say goodbye.."
@hwang miyoung 'Daehyun... This... We.. We can't happen again..'
After she spoke those words, that, he felt those pain all over again. Like his just mended heart was crushed again into pieces and this time, it couldn't be mended again.
Daehyun's world stopped and he could feel everything drop. He was smiling and the next thing, he felt hurt...again. He was right, once is enough and twice is dangerous.
His subconscious was wrong. Everything wont be alright that she's already here. It made a greater mess. His hug from her, slowly broke free.
He could feel hot tears rolling from his eyes as he was trying to nod. He took a step back from her and tried to swallow the lump that was forming in his throat.
"I-I'm not...not asking for...for anything Miyoung."he said, in a barely audible voice. He could feel his voice cracking and his throat drying up. And the next words he spoke broke him more:
@jung daehyun Tiffany's heart clenched tightly at his words.
'Shhhh...all that matters is that you're here, okay?'
No. She knew they couldn't be together again. It was just to late, no matter how she felt.
His embrace tightened possessively on her as she tried to break away. She couldn't afford to hurt him again, she knew that very well. But she could help but to just stay in his arms. She felt safe. But that was just her caught up in the moment.
"Daehyun... This... We.. We can't happen again.." She said softly.
@hwang miyoung And then, that was the time he knew he was right. She is the Hwang Miyoung he knew before. The feeling of hugging her again was so overwhelming...so overwhelming that he hoped they could stay like that forever.
'Dae.. Daehyun.. I'm so sorry.. I know I shouldn't have just left like that, but I was forced to.. I'm so sorry..'
After what she said, it was like he was stabbed by 99999 double-edged swords right through his chest. Forced to? Who? Why?
A million of thoughts was running inside Daehyun's mind. But he tried to push it all away but it keeps on coming back. He shook his head lightly and caressed her cheek.
"Shhhh...all that matters is that you're here, okay?"he whispered.
He hugged her again but then..this time, she was trying to break free. No, he wasn't going to let her go again, not this time that she's here again. He tightened his hug around her more.
But..deep inside of him, he knew he needed to let go. Once is enough, Twice is Dangerous, and thrice is something he should avoid. He was about to move on, that final touch on the carvings was a sign that he was going to move on from her yet...a change of plans happened. Funny thing that in the time he almost wanted to give up, is the time that she came back again.
@jung daehyun Tiffany gasped loudly as she was enveloped into a tight hug. She felt her eyes watering and she couldn't stop them from falling down her cheeks.
"Dae.. Daehyun.. I'm so sorry.. I know I shouldn't have just left like that, but I was forced to.. I'm so sorry.." She said softly, trying to stop her tears from falling.
She knew she was a horrible person. She never deserved his love and never will relieve it again. It was just to painful. All she could do right now was express her feelings about how she had to leave him without any notice. She needed to relieve all the stress that had piled up on her over the years, making her the guilty one.
"I..I'm so sorry.." She said softly, she tried to break away from his tight hold. She had to get out of here or she really was going to break down with all the guilt she had piled upon herself.
@hwang miyoung Daehyun was smiling and the next moment...it turned into something different. Something..blank? Yes, something liked that. And it all happened in a matter of seconds, a matter of seconds when she replied.
'M-my name is... Hwang M-Miyoung...'
And then, there goes again his beating heart. A hurting beat once and fast beating the following. He gulped and clutched his chest.
She couldn't be the Hwang Miyoung he knew before, right? She couldn't be the Hwang Miyoung whom left him unattended yet he still loves...until now?
She couldn't be right?
But then again...something was burning inside of him. Something telling him that she really was.
The next thing he knew, he was hugging her tightly. Like he was afraid to lose her again. The tears that he has been holding already had welled up.
She's back.
And he doesn't even understand why he was hugging her like this if she had hurt him a lot. Probably because he loves her more than he loathe her.
@hwang miyoung Daehyun reached out for her hand and gently put the bracelet on the lady's palm. "I can tell that its something important, from the look you were giving earlier. You looked really worried."He told her and gave off a grin after that.
He scratched the back of his neck and looked down. Since the lady still didn't close her palm and the bracelet was still there, he caught a glimpse of written words on the largest charm.
Something...that starts with D and M.
He shook his head and shrugged it off. Daehyun looked up to her face again and smiled once more.
@jung daehyun Tiffany forced a smile and hid her hands from him.
"N-no... Nothing at all... Nothing is wrong.." She said weakly, trying hard not to make her voice tremble.
She saw Daehyun picking up the bracelet she had lost. The bracelet. Crap. She hoped that he didnt see the backside of the largest charm on it. If he did, it would give her away instantly. It had something she hoped that he would never see: Daehyun x Miyoung.
She mentally cursed herself for wearing the bracelet today. Why didn't she pick out another one? Why did she always pick out that bracelet to wear like a habit she had since she was three? Why couldn't she throw it away?
Tiffany took a deep breath as she reached over to take the bracelet from Daehyun.
"That's mine... Thanks for picking it up.." She said slowly
@hwang miyoung "Bracelet?"Daehytun asked, tilting his head to the other side. He looked around the spot the tree was standing at and indeed, he did saw a bracelet.
Wait...he got the bracelet. It oddly seems so familiar. Like he saw someone wearing it before and for that someone, the bracelet really was relevant.
He turned back to the woman and before he could give the bracelet to her. He saw that the smile she was wearing, dropped.
And then she took a step back. Daehyun looked a little confused. He blinked and caught a glimpse of the lady's finger trembling slightly.
@jung daehyun "Yeah, I'm actually looking for my bracelet.. I think I dropped it over here somewhere..." Tiffany said softly, looking to see if it was somewhere within her view.
'I'm Jung Daehyun... You might be?'
Jung Daehyun.
Tiffany's smile dropped right when she heard that name. Daehyun? Was he the Jung Daehyun who she knew?
Taking a trembling step back, Tiffany stared at the man who called himself Jung Daehyun. She took a good look at his face and knew instantly it was him.
Her eyes watered. Her fingers trembled slightly.
Why now?
She wasn't prepared to meet him yet. Why did god have to make them meet now?
@hwang miyoung Daehyun was in his 'reminiscing corner'. Reminiscing those sweetest and picturesque memories which forever was glued in his heart. He still couldn't throw those away and he doesn't even know why.
'Who are you...?'
Daehyun heard a soft voice behind him. He couldn't help but to wonder why his heart was beating fast..beating fast like it was in a marathon.
His inner subconscious was cheering like crazy as well. But why?...
Daehyun wiped the tears off his face and turned around. And there the lady was...the lady which he could infer was obsessed with pink.
The Lady which made him remember of her so much...so much that it already hurts.
"Oh...Ummm...Do you need, uhh...something?"
He asked, mentally whacking himself knowing that it didn't answer her question.
@jung daehyun Tiffany got into her car, humming a small tune as she got her keys out of her bag. She looked at her wrist and noticed that she was missing her bracelet.
"Crap. Where did it go?!" She exclaimed out loud, looking through her whole bag. Panicking when she couldn't find it in her bag, she quickly got out of her car.
"Where is it...?" She asked herself, looking around her car to see if she had dropped it somewhere along the way towards her car. " the tree.." She mumbled.
That was the only spot left and she couldn't afford to lose that bracelet. It was something that was irreplaceable. She had to find it no matter what.
"Please be there...." She mumbled, making her way back to the tree, where she was moments before.
Looking at the tree, she noticed that the man who was sitting on the bench earlier was now touching the bark of the tree. The exact same place where she and Daehyun had carved their names.
Stopping at her tracks, she stared at the man's back. "Who are you...?" She asked softly, hearing him speaking to himself.
@hwang miyoung Daehyun doesn't know but why does he seem to dazed? Seems so dazed looking at her. Maybe because she looked pretty much familiar? Yep..that would be the clearest answer.
He couldn't help but to smile when she messed her hair. 'Cute' he thought..too cute that he's already remembering her again. He pushed the thoughts away and his eyes...absentmindedly followed her steps towards the parking lot behind the bench he was sitting at.
He mentally chuckled, a pink car. Right. He could tell the woman really was obsessed with the color pink.
Daehyun looked away, chuckling and stood up. He stretched for a bit and the next thing he knew...he was there again..that damned spot while touching those carvings again.
This time, he didn't resisted. He sighed and tried to force a smile.
"Miyoung-ah~ how are you? If you were here, would you still remember me? probably not. I'm sure you're now engaged with a guy better than me."
He held back the tears that was threatening to well out of his eyes.
"Miyoung...help me...help me get over you."
He said in a barely audible whisper and leaned his head on the trunk of the tree, touching the carvings once more.
@jung daehyun Miyoung noticed that she was staring at him for awhile when she made eye contact with the man on the bench. She quickly adverted her eyes away from him and messed up her hair in embarrassment.
"There is no way that it's him.... He should be mad. I left him without a word after all. He wouldn't even want to see this tree... Get over it Hwang Miyoung... He would't be here." she said to herself.
Regaining her posture, Tiffany took one last glance at the man sitting on the bench a couple of meters away from her. She soon started to walk to her car, which was parked in the parking lot right behind the man.
@hwang miyoung Daehyun was about to stay his sight to the skies but something was pushing him to look there again. It was frustrating stating the fact that...that 'event' led him into a broken and crushed heart but he still finds himself going back there.
People around him before was warning him about it and they were right, love is only sweet in the beginning and it the end, it'll be bitter..or even more than bitter.
Sighing, he shifted his attention away from the blue and calming skies then accidentally looked around. His sight stopped at certain lady who earlier was at that...that damned spot, she was looking at..him?
Certainly she was and absentmindedly, he was staring back.
He couldn't help but to think besides that the lady was beautiful and gorgeous...she was oddly familiar..like he met him before.
And then the name: Hwang Miyooung popped inside his mind.
He shook it away. No, it was fairly impossible, she would never come back here in Seoul, right?
@jung daehyun Resting her head against the tree for moments, Tiffany wiped the traces of tears on her face with the tips of her fingers wiping her eyes she took a deep breath and stood up from her spot, dusting herself off in case she had anything on her behind.
stretching her back, she grabbed her purse and decided to go someplace else.
As she looked around the area, she noticed that there was a man sitting on the bench. For some reason he looked familiar in her eyes.
She stared at him for moments, trying to recall where she had seen him, or if she had ever seen him before.
Daehyun propped his head up and saw a waitress who was actually waiting for him if he was going to order or not. He bowed apologetically and dismissively waved his hand. "Just stoppin' by."he said and stood up.
He bowed at the waitress once again who looked dazed. And went out of the cafe. Oh how stupid of him, his plan was to have fun outside and this is what he gets? Rubbish. Its his fault anyways, why would he go back to that place? Oh...because his stupid damned heart that couldn't stop beating for her led him there.
Daehyun could feel his subconscious raising his eyebrow at him. Okay maybe it wasn't just his heat who led him there...his whole self led him there. Maybe he should just ask someone to cut that tree down.
His subconscious whacked him which he imaginary whacked his subconscious back.
A few minutes of whacking, he was jarred back in reality when he found himself sitting on a bench a few meters from that...damned tree.
"What the hell is happening with me?"He murmured, looking down and mentally slapped himself with a face palm.
Daehyun accidentally looked up. He was about to look down again but he saw a female figure on the spot where he...stood previously.
Usually, the craving could be seen from the bench he was sitting at but now it was completely covered by the figure of the female.
He could tell the female is beautiful judging from her figure. 'He wears a lot of pink'He thought and then remembered again...her.
She loved wearing pink as well. Before, she would even replace pink from her. He mentally laughed at the thought.
Daehyun shook his head and looked up to the sky. He should really stop looking there because just that same coincidence...is hurting him a lot.
@jung daehyun Loud noises of greetings and cries were heard throughout the airport. Miyoung walked out of the slide doors which had a large sign on top of it saying 'arrival' with her large vintage suitcase behind her. It was a fine afternoon and she was in a great mood.
"Welcome back to Seoul, Hwang Miyoung~" she said to herself happily.
It has been almost 7 years since she had set foot on Seoul grounds. Many things had happened over the past years, which brought happy memories and sad memories she wanted to forget. Walking towards the entrance of the airport, she noticed her car along with a couple of others waiting for her.
"Mr. Kang! You're here!" She exclaimed, quickly running to the man who she had known her whole life, her personal butler. Saying her greetings, she quickly scanned the old man and noticed that he had more grey hairs than she had ever remembered. Brushing that thought off, she smiled widely when she was given the keys to her car.
"Thank you sooo much! Please tell my parents that I've made it back safely and will stay at my condo." Quickly putting her suitcase in the back of her car, Miyoung handed a package to mr. Kang, telling him that it was a souvenir for him and the other workers she was close too. Giving him one large smile, she got into the front seat and drove away to the one spot she had been dying to go ever since she was forced to leave Korea.
The one tree that had all of her memories with Daehyun.
Leaving Korea was something that had never crossed her mind. Being forced to leave was not on her list either. Her parents had forced her to leave Korea so that she could study in France, their excuse to her? "It's for your own good." Ever since then, she had not contacted her parents for seven years.
She never wanted to leave Korea. It was where all her loved ones were, and most importantly her boyfriend, Daehyun.
Not being able to say goodbye the day she left crushed her heart as she was sent into the plane to take her away to France. Daehyun. That was all she could recall during her life in Korea. She had really loved him and they had the perfect relationship before she had left.
Getting out of her car when she reached the special place she saw the tree where they had their most cherished memories of being together. Reading the small carved names on the tree, Miyoung smiled to herself. Touching the carving, Miyoung felt her eyes watering as she thought about the fun memories she had shared with Daehyun. She sat down next to the tree, leaning on it as she wiped her tears away.
"I guess the downfall of this relationship was me after all..."
@hwang miyoung Classes was called off due to an urgent meeting of the board and personnel. Daehyun was in his room, rolling around his bed while scrolling his phone. No doubt that he was feeling dull. He decided to stand up and walked towards the balcony of his room.
It was a fine day. The weather was good and the breeze wasn't humid nor cold but it was normal...and fresh. He took a deep breath and smiled. It would be a great thing to walk around outside. A good walking exercise in mid-afternoon perhaps. He smiled and rushed down.
"Butler Ahn! I'm going out okay!!"He shouted which was heard all around the mansion. Before anyone could reply he rushed outside and jogged towards the humongous gates.
He smiled again when he was outside, a normal day. A few people running here, walking there and talking everywhere. It always made him happy when seeing a some kind of crowd. He started to walk..probably to the park.
When he arrived at the certain park, he immediately ran towards that certain tree. A certain tree that kept those memories. He touched the name carvings on the tree: "DaeDae+Miyoungiee~". Such a typical childish thing but nevertheless, a very sweet moment.
Daehyun smiled upon remembering the memory. That was the exact spot they promised to be together forever. Funny thing is, love is always a 'party pooper'. They were separated and he didn't even have the chance to say goodbye to her.
He was his first love, first kiss and first girlfriend and that thing happened a long time ago. Yet, Daehyun always wondered why the memory wasn't blur, it was as clear as titanium. Perhaps, he wasn't able to move on and the feelings was still there.
He clutched his chest. There was it again, that same heartbreak he always felt. Why couldn't he move on? He always asked himself that same question all over again. And the only answer he could always receive is a strong but hurting beat of his heart.
Daehyun shook his head. Enough, he doesn't want to look crazy, crying alone without any reason. He touched the carvings once more and walked away to God knows where.
There he was again, the typical zombie Daehyun. He didn't cared if people gave him weird looks. The only thing the was in his head was her name...her name that was repeated like a broken record in his head.
A name which he couldn't forget.
In the end, he found himself in a cafe, sitting down in a table. He sighed and put his head on the table while staring down at his feet while saying the words:
