Ruins

@[SH] ✞ Kris Hearing that all too familiar voice call his name, Sunggyu felt as if his heart was being ripped from him and tried to keep from losing his composure in front of Kris. It seemed like it had been forever since he'd seen him and now the healer actually wished he'd attempted to run away. He wasn't sure if he could deal with the man he loved being so close. Cradling his hand close to his chest, he shook his head. "No... Ryeowook is on shift as healer today. It's not a bad injury. I'll be fine." He told the man and brought his bleeding finger to his mouth, away the blood there.

@✷ Sunggyu [SH] Kris stood there watching Sunggyu, he knew the fae knew he was there... well in a way, he knew that Sunggyu could sense a beast but he probably didn't know it was him. He stayed there and continued to watch the fae, he couldn't help but smiles when he watched Gyu go back to trying to pull plant out of the ground. The smell of the blood reaches him before the sight of Gyu pricking his finger "Gyu" he called before speeding to the fae's side, his eyes were red but straight away he checked Sunggyu's finger and then around them "do you have a bandage on you?"

@[SH] ✞ Kris Surviving in this harsh world had taught Sunggyu to be extremely weary and observant. His dirty fingers stilled on the weed he was currently plucking as he felt a shift of power in the air, the hair on the back of his neck prickling nervously. Yet he didn't try to run since it was useless in the presence of a beast. He'd learned that when he was reunited with Kris... thinking of the man made his heart ache with longing and he sighed, reaching up to touch his chest as if that'd make it stop. How could fate be so cruel to keep them apart? Shaking his head to dispell the thoughts, he reached down to take out his frustration on the stubborn weed but gasped as a thorn pricked his finger, blood dropping from his fingertip.

@✷ Sunggyu [SH] Kris sighed lightly as he walked around the ruins, he had been walking around since that day a month and a half ago, for the first few weeks he had hoped to run into Sunggyu and for Sunggyu tell him that he didn't want him to leave him... however that never happened he just walked around. after a few days Kris decided to go and get dressed but since then he had hardly been back to his hut since. Kris looked up catching a familiar smell and before he realized it he was looking at Sunggyu from a small distance.

@[SH] ✞ Kris Walking around the foggy ruins, it'd be easy for someone to get disoriented and become lost, but Sunggyu knew his way through the gloom well. He'd been out here many times to collect herbs, but lately he'd been putting off coming for as long as he could. Not because it was dangerous, but because of the memories he had there. The idea of going to any place where he'd been with a certain beast made his heart ache and so he'd simply avoided them. In fact, the healer had stayed in the village for the most part over the last month and a half and for a person like Sunggyu who didn't particularly like staying in one place it was an amazing accomplishment. Kneeling in the damp grass, the redhead began to delicately pluck some odd looking weeds from the ground.

@✷ Sunggyu Kris had been making sure that the burning of his heat wouldn't appear that night when he went to meet Sunggyu,it was something he didn't like doing but he didn't want to jump Gyu because he didn't know how bad his burning would be and so he made sure that it wasn't. as soon as it started to turn darks he flew to the place they were meeting and stayed in a tree near by just incase a Fae walked by that wasn't Sunggyu, as soon as the said Fae showed up Kris flew down from the tree and landed in front of the boulder his friend was sat on "hey Gyu"

@✞ Kris The entire day Sunggyu had anxiously awaited the sunset and his second meeting with his long lost friend. He knew that he seemed distracted and he tried his best to deal with his patients as politely as he could, but he couldn't get Kris out of his mind. When darkness finally settled, the young healer bundled up in his coat and set off for the ruins. He got there a lot faster than he normally did and found the familiar boulder, climbing to sit on top of it as he waited for his friend to arrive.

@✷ Sunggyu Kris stood there for a while half hoping that gyu would run around and come back, it was at times like this that he would get paranoid that someone would leave expecially this person. Kris sighed and cursed himself for bringing up more bad memories "I'll see him tomorrow" kris sighed and left the spot walking back to the place he was currently staying

@✞ Kris Sunggyu tensed his shoulders and forced himself to keep on walking even though every bit of him wanted to turn right back around. He could still feel the soft way Kris had nuzzled his neck and reached up to touch the spot. Now that he was far from him, all he could think about was how much he wanted to be close to him once more, where he felt secure and wanted. The sooner he got home, the sooner the next day would come and he would be able to see his friend again. That was what he needed to keep telling himself.

@✷ Sunggyu Kris chuckled knowing that it was true "yeah I know" he smiled. Kris nuzzled the youngers necks as he pulled gyu closer, reluctantly letting go staying in the same spot and watching the younger back up "goodnight Sunggyu" kris hummed smiling at the younger and watching him disappear in to the fog still standing in the same spot

@✞ Kris "Of course. I reserve that for when I want something from you." Sunggyu teased and gently nudged his friend's side. He had only ever called him 'hyung' playfully or to butter him up when he wanted to get his way. They were just too close for age to really make a difference. "You better be." He demanded with an anxious chuckle and tightened his hug. He didn't want to let go, but slowly let his arms fall back to his side after a moment and took a tentative step back. "I... goodnight." He whispered quickly and turned to leave before he would regret it. He'd see him tomorrow, that was what he needed to keep reassuring himself.

@✷ Sunggyu Kris chuckled and nodded "it was the same when we were younger, you never liked calling me hyung" he smiled putting a hand on the Fae's shoulder, he could see the anxiety in the other eyes "don't worry I'll be here tomorrow I won't let us have to ho through what happened when we were young" he assured Sunggyu. Kris smiled softly and wrapped his arms around the youngers waist, hr nodded "yeah I'll see you tomorrow night, I'll be there I promise"

@✞ Kris "It's okay. I'm just... not used to it. A lot of people consider me their hyung, it's almost strange to think you're older than me." He confessed and rubbed the back of his neck bashfully. Sunggyu was used to being the oldest around those closest to him, so it was hard for him to be the dongsaeng for a change. Walking along, Sunggyu didn't realize that they had finally reached where they had to part ways until Kris wasn't at his side anymore. A heavy feeling gripped at his heart as he turned back to face him and swallowed hard. Even though they had said they would meet, he still worried that something would separate them somehow.

"I... guess so." He whispered with a solemn nod. Taking a step closer, he hesitated a moment before wrapping his arms around the beast's neck. He refused to say goodbye to him. Instead, he settled for something that sounded less finite. "I'll see you soon. I promise."

@✷ Sunggyu Kris smiled even if he had said that he knew what it was but it didn't matter, they had fun during the time they were there and that was what mattered. Kris chuckled and shrugged his shoulder "sorry gyu it's a bad habit" he smiled and looking around they had stopped at the point where he could not go any further, he sighed looking at his friend with a small sad smile, he didn't lie saying goodbye when they were younger and he didn't now either 2i guess it's time for us to split till tomorrow"

@✞ Kris "It's not kidnapping if I was willing, Kris." Sunggyu added with a laugh, his eyes turning into happy little slits. He remembered that day vividly - two boys running hand in hand through the woods without a care in the world until they came upon a seemingly endless staircase leading down to the ocean. All that he could see for miles was blue water and the sun hovering far away above it. "We definitely need to go~ We co- Ack!" Sunggyu's words were cut off with a soft sound of protest as Kris ruffled his hair yet again, making him let go of the other man's hand to brush it back into place. He usually ruffled his cousin's hair in a similar way, but having it done to him made him feel young beyond his years. "Yah, what are you doing? Trying to mess up my hair forever?"

@✷ Sunggyu Kris chuckled and put his free hand up "yeah yeah okay~" he joked as he kept following the younger "hmm ocean? oh is that the first time i basically kidnapped you so we could go somewhere away from your father?" Kris asked questioningly tilting his head to the side. smiling he nodded "yeah sounds like a good idea and i don't have that long of my heat left" he nodded ruffling the younger's hair with his free hand, it was something that had become a bad habit with the people he was close to.

@✞ Kris "Don't doubt me. I may not have been able to be what my father wanted me to be, but he did teach me some things. I bet I could find you." The younger challenged, managing to sound confident though he honestly hoped it would never come to that. If they got separated again, he didn't know if he could take it. Meeting Kris again was like light in the darkness and it gave him hope that this world could get better one day... "Do you remember when we were younger and that one day we went to the ocean?" He asked as he walked, swinging their linked hands a little. "When your heat is over, we should go there again. I haven't been since then."

@✷ Sunggyu Kris allowed the younger to lead him through the fog down the path "yeah yeah, I'd like to see you try" kris chuckled at the youngers statement, Kris wouldn't let that happen he would be there no matter what. Kris smiled affectionately as the younger squeezed his hand, he squeezed back "me to gyu, me too"

@✞ Kris Even though he had said he'd come back the next day just for Kris, Sunggyu truthfully wanted to see him tomorrow too. He was still afraid that this was too good to be true and he needed to know he'd really see him again to get rid of the nervous feeling in his gut. Looking down at their linked hands, the healer smiled fondly and led his friend through the fog, knowing the path even if he couldnt see it. "Ill hold you to that. If you don't come, ill hunt you down." He chuckled and gave the older man's hand a squeeze. "I'll be damned before I lose you again."

@✷ Sunggyu Kris smiles much liked the youngers, only getting up once the younger did. Sighing he ruffled the youngers hair, as soon as he dropped off the younger he was going to have to find a way to stop the burning that was getting worse, he was glad that he had the control that he did around the younger. Kris smiled at the youngers words 'just for you' "let's get going then" he grabbed the youngers hand holding it gently "I'll be there tomorrow as well just for you"

@✞ Kris "Okay. I'd like that." Sunggyu agreed with a sad smile, hesitating to stand because he honestly didn't want to leave. He had a feeling he wouldn't be able to sleep much tonight with Kris and all these memories fresh in his mind. Getting to his feet, he brushed the dirt from his pants. "I'll come tomorrow, just for you."

@✷ Sunggyu Kris watched at the other sat up and frowned at his word "yea okay, let me walk you as far as i can" Kris said sitting back up his self leaving his wings out "of course you'll see me again, i'll be waiting at the stone next time you come here" Kris reassured the younger with smile

@✞ Kris Slowly, Sunggyu let his hand fall away from Kris' wing and sat up, a small smile on his lips. He didn't want to leave, fearing that something would happen and they'd be separated again, but he knew he couldn't just stay out here in the fog with him. If they kept on laying together like that, he might just fall asleep. It was just so comforting to be near him. "I should probably head home." He murmured regretfully, tugging at his shirt to readjust it again. "... But I'll see you again, right?"

@✷ Sunggyu Kris smiled back at the other, happily humming as the other ran his fingers over his wings. He was glad that he was able to spend time with the other like nothing had happened in the past "yeah me too gyu" kris hummed with a smile

@✞ Kris Sunggyu met Kris' gaze and smiled brightly, his eyes crinkling into tiny slits. He felt content and happy to be at his side, his fingers lazily stroking over the plume of his wings. It was like they hadn't spent any time apart and that in itself was comforting, that in spite of the tough world that they lived in that they remained unchanged. "Kris..." He whispered, closing his eyes and snuggling closer to the beast's warm body. "Aigoo... I wish we could just stay like this."

@✷ Sunggyu Kris chuckled at the Fae's words "thanks" he smiled he really liked the feeling of the younger stroking his wings. Kris laid his head on his arms which were crossed in front of him, he was looking towards the younger, he really had grown up his eyes were long and pointy, his fangs were showing slightly. Kris smiled at the other as Sunggyu laid down next to him the Fae's hands still running over his wings

@✞ Kris "Well, they are. I mean, they're nice and well-maintained, too." He added with an amused chuckle, imagining Kris grooming them like a bird or something. Beasts were fascinating creatures and, sadly, Fae rarely got to look at them up close unless they were in danger. Having Kris here like this, Sunggyu now had a million questions in his mind that he would have never thought to ask when he was younger. If people had the chance to really get to know a beast, he thought maybe their opinions would change. Laying down next to Kris, he moved his hand absentmindedly over the closest wing. "I like how they feel."

@✷ Sunggyu Kris smiled feeling the younger run his hands over Kris' wings and smiled wider when the younger complimented his wings in that way "no one has called them beautiful before just nice or well maintained" he smiled liking the feeling of the Fae's hand "yes but in a good way" Kris looked back at Gyu smiling

@✞ Kris Feeling the dark wings move under his hand, a pleased smile tugged at Sunggyu's lips and he ran his fingers over the feathers with more confidence. They were so sleek and soft. "Yeah, they're beautiful, hyung." He admired in awe, wondering what it felt like to fly with them. "It doesn't feel weird when I touch them, does it?"
