One day, when the skies grew clear of the suffocating curse of the Maple World, and everything was finally put to justice again, Yixing could only imagine the beautiful things that would await them at the end of the journey. It only made for more of a reason to want to regain all his power, and fight along everyone once again - and become someone who would be worthy of the Sovereign name. He's fought, but after the sealing, they hadn't thought that the resurrection would be possible. He'd sealed his people in ice, and it was a cowardly move, despite needing to defend his people. He fell unconscious at the end of the battle, and had it not been for his dragon tamer friend, he probably wouldn't be alive now. It's hard to have such a weight on your shoulders and fight, but Yixing was so determined to bring peace back to the Maple World. The children that were born into the world didn't need to be plagued by a curse that they didn't have a fault in. They didn't need to suffer because of a greedy man who couldn't keep his hands off the hunger of power.

Kyungsoo refused to cry, and Yixing respected him for that. He believed that if you need to cry, then you should just let it go, but in Kyungsoo's case, it was kind of amazing that throughout everything, he only shed a couple of tears. It's honestly admirable. Yixing couldn't hold in that much anguish to his mind. His emotional states wouldn't allow it. There were five of them. Six, if one were to ever remember the forgotten one, but Yixing understood Kyungsoo's passion in this. He could make that promise to Kyungsoo, because if the other four were to do anything, Yixing could hold them back - they would understand the meaning of what peace it would bring to the storm of sorrow that brewed in Kyungsoo's heart. The Legends fought for peace, and if that was what would be obtained in Kyungsoo's heart, he could only hope that the others would cooperate with his wishes. The only person he imagined to stand up against it would be the dragon tamer - Freud and Alfrien's reincarnation; a spunky young hero who would love that fame for himself. Yixing smiled gently, and nodded, his eyes soft, "I can promise that to you," he replied. And he would never break a promise. He would do everything he could to ensure that Kyungsoo got what he wanted, because it was the only thing that the other seemed to ever want from him - need from him. He owed him at least that much for draining his powers, despite knowing that Kyungsoo ever worked for the Black Mage, Yixing found himself empathetic enough to everyone to /care/ about Kyungsoo like the demon was one of the Elven citizens. A brother, even.

@yixing Kyungsoo remembered briefly of how terrified the little elven children were of him when he first walked the green pathways of Elluel. Well, more like frozen over green pathways, but nevertheless they looked at him with wide eyes and soon enough ran away whenever he took a step closer to where they were. It hurt, knowing that people couldn't trust him and that he was always going to be known as someone who worked for the Black Mage, but it was all in the past and now he had to make a new name for himself, one that would bring justice to his new image and help create a new aura for him. It wouldn't be one that radiated danger, or one to say 'I'm extremely powerful.' Sure, he would get his immense power back and would be able to wipe out an entire training field with one move, but that was later. At the moment all he could do was send a few pitiful slashes towards some monsters that looked like they had come straight out of a picture book. That was enough for now. He would build himself back up from the bottom, get his strength back and receive the glory that was initially meant for him. He alone would defeat the Black Mage.

Yixing was comforting and no doubt he was thankful for his words, but he didn't need to cry. He was a man, a demon capable of great power. A demon didn't cry. Crying meant weakness, and that was something he had vowed to never show again. Not after what had happened to his family. "When we face the Black Mage, eventually.. Promise me something." Kyungsoo whispered, eyes trailing from his lap to Yixing's well structured face. His own brown orbs bore into the other's, with the intent to get his point across without any complaints or objections. "Promise me that you'll let /me/ finish him off. I'll be the one to take his life and the one thing he cares about just like he did to me." Kyungsoo understood that others, just like the explorers and all the other Legends, wanted to get their part in defeating the Black Mage and he respected that, he really did. But that final blow that was to bring peace to the Maple World would be by him. The Black Mage's execution would be his action and only his. That was all he wanted. At that point he would have done the deed and would live without any regrets. He would have his revenge and that would be it.

With one more heartbroken look to the Falcon Wing Dual Bow Guns that sat at the corner of the room, Yixing turned his attention back to Kyungsoo. One day, he'd be able to use them again, and everything would be back to the way it was, just without the presence of the Black Mage, and the world would retain the peace and harmony that the Legends worked so hard for. And eventually, it would be a place that was good enough for his empire and citizens to reside in peacefully, because it hurt him to see the Elven children so frightened to walk around the town, because of how terrifying the stories of the Black Mage and his disciples were. The Sovereign remembered a time that everyone would be so joyful, and the Elven Festivals were the most happiness that anyone could attend; but not anymore, everyone remained frozen in ice for now, aside from his Alliance, and it would remain that way unless he could gain the strength and know that he could protect the town.

Yixing knows how Kyungsoo feels, only being able to attack a couple of the vile beasts that dared to touch him at a time. He used to be able to wipe out the entire pathway before him, but it wasn't like that anymore. The ice had stolen his powers, and it thawed away into nothingness when he broke free of the frosted environment. Yixing felt bad, because it was his fault - yet, had he not done it, what would the Maple World have become of now. They're friends now, but in the past, it was so very different. The elf placed his cup of tea down, and he reached over, stroking the demon's hair. "Shh, it's okay, I understand..." he whispered, "If you need to cry, then you should just cry it all out," he told the demon, and he really could relate. Kyungsoo's family was like Yixing's, despite their races being completely different from one another. A demon shouldn't be friends with an elf - and especially the Sovereign of the Elves, but they related to each other in some fascinating sort of way. Had Kyungsoo's family been the Elven race, Yixing would be in the younger man's position. He d the younger's hair gently. "You'll get your revenge eventually, Kyungsoo..."

Listening to Yixing talk about his troubles brought back to his mind that he could hold his own desperado anymore without it being too heavy, or too torturous to fight with. His Painful Destiny, his lionheart weapon that he treasured so dearly, it was sitting in his room, up on the wall because of his lack of strength. "I know what you mean.." Sure, he didn't have an entire town and race to look over, but with his power gone he wouldn't be able to bring a new wave a demon avengers. He was the last of his kind at the moment, save for a few weak demons. Long ago the land was prosperous with his kind, fighters of all sorts, sparring on the land and waiting for the plush grass to regrow until it would be burned down again. But that was the time of the Black Mage and Kyungsoo would never serve such a being again. Such evil wasn't permitted in his book.

"It annoys me that I cannot use my more.. skilled, attacks, for lack of better word. I can only attack a few monsters at a time and it isn't helping me grow in strength. I can feel myself gaining experience from hitting tree trunks, for pete's sake! When I had my power I couldn't even feel the effect of those stumps, and now I can feel them leveling me." Eyes traveled downwards to his hands in his lap, fingers entwined together and squeezing together tightly. "I just want it back. I want it all back to gain revenge on the Black Mage. I'll make him suffer, I swear I will. He'll regret ever betraying me, hurting my family. He'll die a slow and painful death and it won't be something normal, like torture. It'll be something--" It was then that Kyungsoo realized he was going overboard, and the rage that had been built up in him was soon pouring out of him like a waterfall. "I'm sorry. My family is a touchy subject.."

Yixing laughed softly, bringing to cup of tea to his lips, and he shrugged lightly. He was apologetic to the demon, but what could he do? What was done was ddone, and he doesn't exactly have enough power to undo the seals that he put onto Kyungsoo. They would both have to work hard to regain their power, but Yixing felt that the dimly glowing thin blue arrows in his chambers brought extreme sadness too his heart, because they used to be the chrome of a bright eternity. Yixing bowed his head in apology to Kyungsoo, because in addition to what the Black Mage had done to cause the demon pain, Yixing had taken his abilities of combat to some extent. But Kyungsoo isn't alone, Yixing had been reverted to fighting the slimes outside the forest. For the sake of the Transcendence of Time, /slimes/. He was a Legend!

At the remark, Yixing's positive glow of being super nice to his guest faded. It wasn't like he was suddenly going to become rude, but his former sulkiness overwhelmed him again for a short while. Yixing sighed, his eyes flickering to the dual bowguns that sat in the corner of the room. His lips tugged into a frown as he took a sip of the tea, "It really did take a toll on me," Yixing replied. The weapons that he once used with ease were now almost impossible to use, and Yixing was stunned that even his magical arrows have reverted to ones that he used as a child. It was heartbreaking to have to settle his precious weapons to the side, and use rookie leveled equipment that his affiliates had no problem providing him with. The brunette gestured to them, a nod to indicate where he was showing; "I'm sure you recognize those," he remarked - of course Kyungsoo would, those were the weapons he had been holding when he and his dragon tamer friend had sealed Kyungsoo's powers. "I can't control them anymore. I'm significantly weaker, and I have little knowledge of what has happened to the Maple World as the centuries have passed by. Some of my people remain encased in the ice, and it worries me to some extent."

@yixing A day's work had gone by and needless to say, Kyungsoo was worn out and tired from training. No matter how hard he tried, getting back to the top wasn't going to happen in a matter of a few hours. A wistful sigh left the two plump, pink lips of his as he took the cup of tea from Yixing, holding the cup in his lap and sitting down on the plush seat, taking note of his surroundings. It seemed like just yesterday that he was fending off the Black Mage, and now here he was, having tea with the Sovereign ruler of the elves. It was a bit ironic in a way, but never mind that, he had time to relax, and would take full advantage of it.

"Not too well. Your powers have incredible.. Sealing abilities." Kyungsoo cleared his voice, trying to hide the scorn in his tone because he needed to be friendly. Yixing was kind enough to take him I'm, trust him after knowing just who he had worked for.. "And you? I'm not one to relate but I know that being encased in ice for hundreds of years would surely take a toll on one's physical strength." Taking a sip of his warm tea, Kyungsoo eyed the elf and leaned back against the back of the chair, letting himself relax a bit because this was Yixing. At this point, neither of them could jump at each other, possibly endangering themselves. Kyungsoo was still retracting himself the basics, stuck with this, petty desperado that gleamed a pitiful blue hue that no one would find intimidating. "It's such a pity that I've lost my strength. Oh the things I could do to the Black Mage if I had my power. The cuts of a thousand swords isn't nearly enough pain that he's caused me."

Yixing tread his fingers through his hair as he offered his guest a seat. The brunette Sovereign flashed a cheeky smile at his friend, and took a seat across from him. It had been a while since he saw Kyungsoo in the middle of the Elven Empire, hidden behind the forests of Ellinia. He offered the other male a cup of tea, as if it were a peace offering, his dimple indenting his cheek, and he scratched behind his pointed ear.

"It's been a while since I've seen you, Soo." He said, smiling lightly. He took cautious steps in how he worded his sentences, because of course, the weakening of Kyungsoo's abilities of fighting were his fault. Yixing took a sip of his tea, pushing back the sleeves of his robe. "How are you faring with your strength?" He didn't exactly have a reason to poke fun at Kyungsoo; Yixing, himself, was weakened from being frozen in ice for centuries, after all (he had been furious at first, but he's significantly calmed).
