about ME
nice to meet you! i am amir, i also go by nush, nushki, and amor. it's up to you what you're comfortable with and what you'd like to refer to me as!
I've been on RPR for more than 5 years now, and it's been quite a ride. i didn't think i would have said before that rpr would teach me as much as it has: coding is definitely one of those things.
i'm currently in college and transitioning from my junior year into my senior year. I avidly roleplay in the summer and winter, when I have vacation time. coding happens especially in the fall and spring when i'm in school and s u p e r stressed. i love coding though, and have a habit of coding something new for all my characters, so each layout brings something different to the table.
I've always been wary of plagiarism and don't know how to deal with it very well, but i guess I was driven enough to start a gallery - what's to say i won't make my codes available?
please feel free to ask me any questions and let me know if there's something you'd really like to see!
about layouts
so why sigmund freud / "freudian slip"?
partly, it has to do with my major. i'm a psychology major, and i find freud interesting (although flawed, i recognize the leaps made in the field of psych). freud made many connections between the subconscious and the conscious, saying that it's the different tiers of our conscious that affect us, and we operate based on the different layers: the layouts i make are either based on something i saw or an experience i want to recreate (usually just the satisfaction of watching something slide over and click into place is more than enough for me.

how would you describe your coding style?
Simplistic, small, and satisfactory. I really like clear cut sections and having lots of sections. i do like them to be small and detailed. I also love the satisfaction of getting them to fit on my mobile screen or to work for mobile users. I don't use paddings as much as I use margins, and I make sure to map out every pixel - unless i'm using borders because I have to, the layouts look the same in preview and edit mode. my codes are very bare, and very few of them are more than just layers of div tags. i love me some div.

Where do you go for inspiration?
because i prize functionality, i often look at websites, magazines, and think of mobile users: that's why most of the biography sections wind up on the middle or left side of my layouts in the case that the width of My layouts exceed 400 pixels. i also get my inspiration from edits. i usually make a different layout for each of my characters. it's a weird pet peeve of mine, reusing layouts.

no copying, no plagiarism. you cannot alter the base code. the layout sections can be tweaked and i can help you with that, but give credit or at least let me know what you're doing. it helps me out a lot.

please double check which layouts are open to the public: layouts marked with a star (✶) in the room titles are available for use.
