general rules;

+ please favourite. upvoting is optional (but then, would be appreicated, of course).

+ this is a 3rdpov roleplay. please do no use emoticons like >_< ^^ *0* XD ;~; and shortcut words like brb, bby, srsly, cbs (and many more) when roleplaying. you can use them when talking in ooc, but when roleplaying ic please write in paragraphs or sentences. if you don't know how to write in para, you can always ask in the comment section below. the most that we ask from you is to at least write about more than five lines and more than six sentences when roleplaying/replying to your partner.  

+ this is an au, alternate universe roleplay. this mean that you are not a celebrity. in other words, your character is not who they are in real life. their identity in this roleplay is a royal member or a normal citizen who lives with jobs like being a bartender, pianist, photographer, mafia, and whatever jobs there are available. 

+ there will be no celebrities in this roleplay. therefore, if you choose to have your character as a normal citizen, they are forbid to have an occupation like a famous singer, actor, model etc. of course, a newsreporter is allowed. just not anything like a singer, actor or ulzzang or whatsoever. 

+ please do not god-mod. 

+ if you choose to join this roleplay, you are required to fill in your profile with your character's information. this is complusory, no exceptions. 

+ one character per person only. no more than one.

+ no ooc (out of character) drama. ic (in character) drama(s), however, is/are strongly loved. 

+ use brackets when talking in ooc. we do not want you to write in ooc like this:

+ please be active during the week, although we do understand that you have a busy life. the days of inactive system have been set to seven days. therefore, if you are not active for seven days, we will remove you. you can, of course always re-apply. 

+ basic manners. if you ask someone to roleplay with you, you must start unless there is an agreement on who starts.

+ we do encourage for you to roleplay on walls more than rooms. 

+ comment in the comment section in the hiatus room if you are going to go on hiatus. please remember to leave when your hiatus starts and when you are going to come back. if by the end of your hiatus you still have not stay active, we will remove you. again, you are always welcome to re-apply.  

+ marriage and pregnancies are allowed. however, no m-preg. we want to make this roleplay a little realistic at least. actions like , drug uses, abortion, and violence are allowed. please be aware though, to discuss it over with the person you are roleplaying with before writing those scenes into action when roleplaying. killing is forbid. you may be strongly injured, but please don't make your character die. 

+ drama, romance and angst plots are highly recommended. please do not always stick with the fluffy and comedy plots. you can try to think of plots like about betraying, seeking for revenge, one-sided love, battling for success etc. make it seem like or pretend you're writing a novel or as if you're writing a script for a new dramatic movie that is going to be release under a big company, otl. 

+ is allowed and is a must. this roleplay has been marked as rated-m for a reason. if you feel uncomfortable, leave the roleplay or don't join. this roleplay is created for mature audiences. 

+ and yuri are allowed, but is discouraged (especially if you are running for a position in the palace. it would not be a problem though if you are a citizen and you would like to do or yuri).

positions and roles;

+ some roles are limited, so we'll go by the rule first in, first serve. 

+ to check if the role you want is available or not. read the country tree page (room). 

+ in this roleplay, men and women have the same equality (although we do have to count on the rank they live in too). 

+ the roles are:

{the king or emperor} he rules the country and basically is the head of the palace. everyone must listen to his orders or else they have to deal with big punishments. the king makes up the laws for his country, therefore he can do anything he wants. he may be a bad or good king. the king is the queen's husband, but he have the luxury of having many other woman too. with that said, he may as well love or not love the queen. and may love a concubine or not. he owns all of the beautiful concubines and is very open to a majority of them. the king is in charge of bringing peace to his country, so he must be a very busy man.

{the queen or empress} she takes charge of the palace maids and the imperial households. she is married to the king and may love or not love him. she may be a bad or good queen, however she must maintain her manners. the queen may not have the luxury of giving herself to another man, however she may have the ability to have an affair. 

{the princess} the princess is the beauty of all women in the palace. she is the king's little sister and may be spoiled or not. she may have the brain and may have not too, depending on how you want to control her character. a princess' role is to find a noble man to marry and create a family. a princess is to never marry a low status man. this can be an issue to use when roleplaying to create drama.  

{the prince} he helps the king, his older brother, to rule the country and control the laws of the country respectively. although he does not have the luxury of having concubines beside him, the prince have the advantage of being able to love more than one women. it is his choice though. 

{the concubine} she is own by the king. she is not married to the king, but she is legally his woman to the public. she may choose to fight for the king's love or may not do so. she is enemy to most of the concubines. she as well may or may not give the king children. a concubine may be against the king for whatever reason - it depends on how you portray her character. a concubine may have an affair in the palace, but be aware for the punishment from the king. 

{head of palace proceedings} she is in charge of looking after the embroidery proceedings department, jewellery proceedings department, food & beverages proceedings department and the furnishings proceedings department. she is rule by the queen and works for the concubines and for other important people across the palace. may seduce the prince, king or other males who works in the palace. 

{head of embroidery proceedings} she is in charge of looking after the embroidery department. she is rule by the queen and the head of palace proceedings and works for the concubines and for other important people across the palace. may seduce the prince, king or other males who works in the palace. 

{head of jewellery proceedings} she is in charge of looking after the jewellery department. she is rule by the queen and the head of palace proceedings and works for the concubines and for other important people across the palace. may seduce the prince, king or other males who works in the palace. 

{head of food & beverages proceedings} she is in charge of looking after the food and beverages department. she is rule by the queen and the head of palace proceedings and works for the concubines and for other important people across the palace. may seduce the prince, king or other males who works in the palace. 

{head of furnishings proceedings} she is in charge of looking after the furnishings department. she is rule by the queen and the head of palace proceedings and works for the concubines and for other important people across the palace. may seduce the prince, king or other males who works in the palace. 

{the palace proceedings maid} she works for one of the four proceedings department. she is rule by the queen and the head of palace proceedings and works for the concubines and for other important people across the palace. may seduce the prince, king or other males who works in the palace. 

{palace maid} she works for the king, queen and concubines mostly. may seduce the prince, king or other males who works in the palace. 

{palace servant} he works for the king, queen and concubines mostly. may fall in love with a maid, but cannot dare to think about loving the queen or princess.

{the prime minister} he helps the king to control the laws and other important events. may fall in love with a maid or a normal citizen outside the palace. a prime minister lives outside the palace.   

{the royal surgeon} he is a physician that helps the royal family with health issues. he is rule by the king and queen and works for all people across the palace. may fall in love with a maid or a normal citizen outside the palace. a royal surgeon lives outside the palace, though stays in the palace during the day.  

{palace scholar} he was picked to work in the palace to help the king with business matters through hard examinations. he lives outside the palace. may fall in love with a maid or a normal citizen outside the palace.   

{the general} does not have the advantage to enter the palace, but does work for the king to look after his country. the general helps citizens deal with crimes and such. may fall in love with a normal citizen. 

{the palace general} he is the one who is in charge of the knights in the palace and have the right to retrieve them. he helps the king fights in battles on fields with his knights. 

{the knight} there are two groups of knights. the first are the ones who helps the king look after the palace and raise protection to the royal family. the second works for the generals, who helps investigate crimes, etc.

+ to make things clear, this roleplay is set in the modern times. i don't want you guys to be running around thinking your character is living in the joseon or tang dynasty, lol. this is the 21st century!

+ although some of the roles have been restricted by 'love life', feel free to love anyone. rebel so that you can create drama, okie?

+ keep in mind that although there are three countries, korea, china and japan - please set your plot in korea most of the time. you can, of course travel to other countries too.  

how to apply;

+ you must favourite the roleplay. we will check. 

+ check the masterlist to see if the character that you want is on the list or not. if not, leave a comment for us to add the character onto the list for you. ask nicely. 

+ to apply, you must submit an application like this:

hello, may i please be (insert your character name) from (insert band/group)? i would like to take the role as a (insert role). 

example: hello, may i please be ulzzang baek sumin? i would like to take the role as a concubine.

+ in your application form, as well write a scene with the following criteria:

- must be more than six sentences or more.
- perfect grammar not needed, but please use appropriate capital and lowercase letters.
- write your paragraph in thirdpov. 
-use appropriate language, like your highness, majesty, etc. 
- you have three prompts to choose to write about. one is a romantic scene, two is a
scene, and three is a violent scene.

+ there is no password.

+ once accepted, please fill in your profile with informations like background (past, nationality, etc.), orientation (straight, gay, lesbian, etc.), position/role (if you are a citizen, please state your occupation too), personality and age (can be made up). it would be nice too if you can add ooc information like your timezone, what kind of writer you are, what kind of genres you prefer and etc. 

+ having plots available on your profile is highly reccomended.
