In all honesty, this has been something that I've been expecting for some time now. I always figured that once I got out of high school and went on to college that I'd somewhat graduate from roleplaying and move on with my life in another direction. I always knew that this was something that would kind of die for me as I got older, though funnily enough, though I've been thinking of doing this for some time now, I didn't really have the guts to do it until now.
To put things into perspective as for how long this has been a part of my life, I've been roleplaying since 7th grade. So I started when I was about 12, and I'm almost 19 now. I would even go as far as to say that roleplaying has made me the person I am today. It strengthened my love of K-Pop which led to me loving music as a whole more. It introduced me to strong creative writing, which led to me enjoying writing as a whole and eventually deciding to go into a writing based major. Roleplaying served as an escape for me, when it felt like everything in my life was going downhill quicker than I could control it. It's hard to put into words what it has meant to me, and honestly I can't believe it's been roughly 7 years. Believe me when I say time passes so quickly.
I've met so many amazing people here and on other sites, and though I haven't interacted much with anyone lately, it wouldn't be right to leave now without saying a proper goodbye to everyone. I'll miss this site dearly, and I'll miss roleplaying. And who knows? I'll probably be in and out anyways just to check up on what's going on.
