Art rant

This is the second time I'm opening commissions and the first time I did, I undersold my work ridiculously bc, Y'know, was the first time I did commissions, didn't wanna charge too much as an amateur.

This time tho I raised the prices and for sth I would've originally charged 11€ I would now charge 29€ which is STILL underselling but this time I literally get no commissions. Why?

Bc I don't have a big following. So ppl are not interested in my art. They would only commission me if my prices were ridiculously cheap bc it would look like a good deal to them.

So am I going to lower the prices to at least get ANY commissions? Yes. Bc I need the money. And I'd rather get 10€ for a 25€ piece than no money at all.

I hate how ppl don't value the hard work put into art and aren't willing to pay accordingly. They only pay for art if it's cheap.

Why not do like 15 instead, and then slowly raise to 17, 20, etc

I would pay the higher price because I know how it is not to get full price for work your doing. It's like asking someone to come clean your house for 5 € or work a 12 hour shift for 12 €, its unrealistic, and people don't realize that.
Anyway, I hope that one day you get full commissions for your artwork!

I totally agree with you that! But also I feel as though, I’m this time, there’s a lot of other priorities that come first before buying art so maybe that’s why you’re not getting as many commissions as you like.
