anyway- hi! i still live
i just want to post this blog to tell everyone on my friends list or know me in general that: i'm fine, i'm still living, and i've been well (mostly)
so, just an update of what i've been doing in the past 3 months:
- genshin, genshin, and more genshin (i got albedo, diluc and xiao! yay!)
- going through my 3rd sem (i'm already halfway in)
- reading and getting back into writing (hence my muse for rping utterly perishing and me disappearing from rpr in general)
so, those are the tea. i came back on to 12 notifications and 31 unread comments on my layout gallery. so, thank you all for that!!
while i'm at it, i might as well add that i've been reading some korean novels my friend introduced to me lately! and i hope to share these novels with you because i really enjoyed reading them and i hope more people will learn about these amazing novels!
- omniscient reader's viewpoint
if you like apocalyptic stories, then this novel is for you! at first, it seems like another battle royale-esque story. however, you'll quickly find that the story has sense and logic, and not just pure bloodshed and murder. also, if you like isekai stories, then you'll probably also like this novel. it is somewhat isekai, as the world ended just like how a story the protagonist read did. this story is by far my favourite korean novel, with all the twists and turns and fridge moments. not only that, the angst really hits. i might need to put these trigger warnings out there for whoever these may apply to, but they also serve as spoilers so beware: mentions of , mentions of abuse, mentions of suicide, depiction of lack of self-worth (don't laugh, it can break you when you reach that part of the story). these are the ones that i can think off the top of my head. but otherwise, the story is action-packed and thriller-filled, so you won't get bored easily! - only i level up/solo levelling
do you like protagonists who slowly grow stronger and soon becoming the strongest in the world? this is the story for you! we follow sung jinwoo, dubbed as the weakest hunter in the world, who - after a near death experience - got a second chance at life and become stronger. i only read the webtoon so far but i'm already hooked. in the webtoon, you can clearly see jinwoo's glow up. like, he legit went from being a scrawny pre-matured kid to a full blown k-pop daddy. there are many awesome moments as sung jinwoo grows stronger (or should i say, level up?) that are worth reading! from the hunters who looked down on him because he was an e-rank (it was after his near-death and he hadn't changed his ranking), to the high and mighty monsters who did not suspect themselves being plummeted to the ground by a mere human.
just, go read solo levelling, y'all. if not for the plot, then for the fight scenes, aesthetics, and sung jinwoo's handsome goddamn face- - trash of the count's family
now this is truly isekai. do you like medieval stories? well, the mc of this story finds himself being transported into the world of a story he's been reading. in one seating, he went through 5 volumes of the story, and woke up to being a minor villain in the novel he read. he's aware of the war and conflict that will take place in the future, and tried to prepare for the inevitable. he's hoping to live a slacker life- while also helping out the protagonist in his adventure. if you like puppy-like characters who are secretly strong, then you'll love the protagonist of the story! and if you like cute animals or creatures, then all the more reason to read this story! it's absolutely perfect! not to mention, the artstyle of the webtoon is just /chef's kiss - s-classes that i raised
do you like brotherly love? then behold! the story about an older brother, han yoojin, who lost his younger brother, han yoohyun, in the very first chapter of the story!
okno that's not how i'm supposed to introduce the story
the premise/background of the story is basically similar to solo levelling (i swear korea loves their dungeon aus). yoojin is an f-rank and caretaker of his s-rank younger brother. after a dungeon attack gone wrong, where he lost his younger brother, he got the chance to regress to 5 years ago. his brother lives! and he promised to mend his relationship with his brother, to be a better older sibling and caretaker.
but wait, that's not the only point of the story tho! after receiving new titles from his previous regression, he became a 'perfect caregiver'. his new goal is to raise a bunch of s-classes so his brother's guild will excel and he can live a good life! it's a pretty wholesome story so i highly recommend you to read!
of the four novels i mentioned, three of them have webtoons. the only novel that doesn't have one yet is s-classes that i raised (i'm still waiting-). you can find omniscient reader on webtoon, actually! right here!
so yes, that's basically all the recommendations from me. as for my plans on rpr-
well, i don't have any.
i might get back into coding, but no promises. i won't be joining any rps, so don't expect much. as for the rps i'm still in, you're free to remove me from your rp. i sincerely apologise for hogging those charas for 3 freaking months (if you haven't already removed them alskdjfhg)
