soulmates aren't always meant to be together

i am once again looking for a girlfriend slkdjsldf or a boyfriend for the lovely flori soulmate au but this time an ex! but they're still soulmates ahah ok let me explain...

there's no rule saying that soulmates always end up with each other. however, you didn't think that would apply to you. you met her (my chara) in highschool, quite the loud one which made you a bit weary of her, but it wasn't long before your two worlds would start colliding. what was intially a simple school crush would turn into a confession which then led to the discovery of your soulmate connection. the ultimate high school sweetheart soulmates who would carry on to college together. the world was in your hands and the two of you planned to conquer it side by side.

but college is hard. when you want to spend time with them they're always in class or running off to club meetings and vice versa. you have your own circle of friends, and they their own, but the two of you always try to find time for one another. there's an unspoken curse of highschool couples who go to college together always breaking up sooner or later but you guys are soulmates! how could one silly little rumor disrupt fate? 

i don't know. maybe it was the finals week stress or that you haven't been able to see her in weeks due to her new internship or the 8th shot you've just poured down your throat. whatever it was, you woke up the next morning to find some random girl in your bed and your girlfriend frozen under the doorway. as she ran out of your dorm, you try to call out after her, but you don't. because some part of you hidden deep down didn't regret your choices. for the first time in years, you were free of this red string of fate that had wrapped you taught in a ball. in the past you had thought the string was a safe haven, a place where she would hold you tight and free you of all earthly worries. but i guess you wanted something new now and here was your chance.

you ended up breaking her in ways she didn't even know she could break. her soulmate shattering her soul. how ironic. she would have wanted to accept your apology...if you had even bothered to give her one, instead you had already started looking for other suitors. the breakup later on was quick like ripping off a bandaid. she had initiated it, but you were the one who ended it in the first place. 

remember how i said their schedules never lined up? well seems like after the breakup, everywhere the two of you went, they would cross each other's paths. you probably with some other girl, and her not even daring to blink in your direction. it's easier to say you're over someone if you aren't seeing them so in the end, she ended up transferring. out of the city? out of the country? well you didn't know cause she cut off all contact with you and rightfully so. but it was when you learned of her absence on campus did you start questioning your decisions. a break from someone will either make you realize how much peace you have without them or in your case...how much you truly love them. you never properly cherish what you have until it's really gone. 

ahah yes your character will be a piece of trash <3 and yes they don't end up together. the plot of them in the rp will start with her arrival back in korea (she transferred out of the country lol) and lo and behold you end up right in her path. i want to write about their journey to the proper breakup they never got to have. my character getting to share her story of how she was able to get over them through her discovery of music. how she still loves them dearly, but will never let herself be in love with them again. and your character still regretting those self-sabotoging actions from years back and now wanting to do everything in their power to win them back over. 

currently in finals week so i plan on getting this second character next friday! so hoping to find a soulmate by then.
