— her first husband. they were arranged to marry one another the moment areum turned of marriageable age. this could be romantic, platonic or even antagonistic. do note that if this were to be romantic, it would've to be one-sided, as areum was in love with another man during that time. your character might even come to hate her, after all you were forced to marry her, which might put a halt to you and your beloved's relationship! this could remain as a past connection, or who knows, perhaps they might rekindle their connection once again, years later after their marriage.

— a suitor. this is a bit of an end game connection, but that is entirely up to chemistry! what this entails is your character falling in love with areum, despite knowing the fact that her heart is still hung up on another. she's grieving constantly of what she's lost, and is on the process of moving on. you wish to free her of that love. you wish to prove to her that she can be happy, if she allows herself to be. now with a newfound determination, you try to show her that she can be happy—with you. ❜

— a beard, of sorts. eunhyuk's family is getting worried at his lack of relationships, and his elusive way of living doesn't help easing this worry at all. he's getting old, and hasn't settled down yet—and so, they introduce you to him, in hopes that he might take a liking to you and marry. this can remain platonic, if you'd like, or perhaps even romantic, though there are no guarantees, as eunhyuk, despite being biual, leans more towards men, and is still quite in love with his last lover.

— a student. someone who wants to learn how to paint better, and has asked (paid) eunhyuk to teach him. i'm not sure how this'll go, but one particular dialogue i can think of is this: "you've made me look sad." "you look sad. i only paint what i see." an allusion to eunhyuk's heartbreak, also highly inspired by the movie a portrait of a lady on fire. ❜

— an unlikely friend. you meet hyunjung as her jaewoo, her male disguise, and unexpectedly, the two of you become friends—whether this is bonded over small petty crimes or dancing on the streets of the outer city, it is undeniable that you have formed a bond over the nights spent laughing at the streets. but you find it strange that jaewoo disappears when the clock hits 12. do you pursue this curiosity, or do you keep this blissful ignorance, knowing that you yourself have secrets to keep? ❜

— right-hand woman. you are the woman that jiyeon helped survive the streets many, many years before. perhaps it's out of pity, or perhaps it's out of the godness of her heart (at this point, no one really knows), but whatever reasons she had then, it doesn't matter to you. she has become your whole world, the reason of your existence to this day—without her, you would've been dead long before. you are the closest person to her, aware of all the secrets she keeps, and are absolutely loyal to her. she is, quite literally, your ride or die. you are also her assistant when it comes to matters of her business, as she trusts you the most—perhaps even more than her beloved, wang dojeon.

— her beloved. you are the love of her life, the man who has held her heart since before she was married to jaeha. but even while married, she only thinks of you. even when she played the part of a good, perfect wife, her heart is only ever in your hearts. soon enough, the two of you reunited with the help of a friend, and for a moment, things feel better. but that happiness is shortlived, when her husband discovers the affair. — a bodyguard. the man that jiyeon needs, really, both to use as a spear and a shield. there are enemies who want to bring her down, and she doesn't plan on dying by any of their hands soon. so you come into the picture, perhaps only loyal as long as money is involved or perhaps even carrying nigh-endless loyalty because of your personal affections towards her (another savior plot? or a one-sided romance?), and it is your duty to keep her safe from the prying eyes of those who want her dead—and from her own actions, which you think might get her killed some day. ❜
