The year was 1100, a decade ago since the coup overthrew the Xing emperor. Despite it being a triumph, tension and strife had been brewing overtime among the Four Greater Lands of who held power among them all. This year was different though, it was the 10th anniversary, the festivities would be held to a high grandeur amidst the reminder of fleeting relief and possible conflict.
The Dark Rain was to be expected this year as well. Droplets that were black as ink, tears of the four mystical beasts that once protected the Xing Dynasty but now grieve the loss of their harmony and peace. A growing reminder of how everything they had built was now ruined by the selfishness of the humans they have vowed to protect.
What would the Dark Rain bring this year? Another disaster or would the tides change and bring in a fruitful season?
