the darker the fruit, the sweeter.
Some would call her a monster, an abomination, a murderer, but others, a genius. She is nothing but the shell of the hopeful, starry-eyed girl that she used to be. It was not entirely her fault for being this way. Had it not been for her ancestors' sins, she wouldn't have watched her family's brutal assassination, captured and trained for the sole purpose of being a formidable rival to the grim reaper, and most importantly, she would not have had to fight her only friend to death. Vengeance is all she has left, and with the Montagues being her only light after escaping hell, her loyalty runs deep as the rage that courses through her veins.

Bitter, it's the best flavor Mai has tasted, until she met you. Bittersweet, was the what she called the world, after you showed her colors aside from the darkness and crimson that filled her life.

Betrayal, Mai was used to it, but she would never have expected it from you, a friend, a beloved confidant. Even if it was due to being on opposite sides of the coin, she seemed to never be able to forgive you.

This is a very loose connection, because I would rather plan it out and incorporate character specific elements more elaborately. It could involve being Mai's next target that she seems to be unable to kill, being connected with the organization that produced the training program (think the marvel red room) that Mai came from, or another contract killer, but the possibilities are endless.

Act One — Personality
Stoned-faced, arrogant, and critical, Mai keeps up stone walls and numbs her emotions to protect the tender heart residing in her chest—not the best thing to have in her line of work.
Act Two — Appearance
Sad eyes, furrowed brows, and dark eyes are the only thing consistent about Mai. A master of disguise, her hair and wardrobe changes often, but on her off days, she enjoys to be clad in all black. Perhaps it is her way of mourning what used to be.

first of all, a huge thank you for darumdarimda for letting me steal from her blog idea <3___<3. this is a connection blog for the saorsa and himbos' upcoming shakespearan rp, retribution! i drew inspiration from the trigger skeleton (margaret of anjou), marvel's black widow, kitty chicha's character nanno from girl from nowhere, and ethel cain's music (as always).
note: none of the posted connections are endgame, i rather determine that as time goes on! i am open to discussing other connections, i do have others in mind that are not completely fleshed out such as: a partner-in-crime, rival, younger sibling figure, a friend that reminds her of her late best friend, and more. shoot me a pm!
