tis like...the worse feelin ever. i swear. sometimes i even wonder how i'm friends with these people. u.u today, like every other wednesday, we have an after school kpop program where kpoppers get together and spazz about one thing KPOP. wow, amazing wow. yeah i lub it. ouo

today probably hurt my feelings the most. we have these discussions every so often and today's discussion was the awards. so of course the most of us all that awards are based on popularity and not actually having a good song. but then our 'leader' ( whom i do no lke AT ALL like she's the rudest little munchkin ever. ._. ) kinda....took it a bit far as to call out groups who didn't deserve awards. and so i told her, "hey...just because the person you wanted to win, didn't, doesn't make the winner any less deserving than anyone else. fans always try to lift their idols up by saying they work harder than most groups, when really,every single idols has all worked hard to be where they are now, and they all deserve at least something. and one day their efforts will be paid off. and yeah it's good to win an award, but fans need to remember that it's fans who keep idols going, not rewards. rewards come once a year, fans are everyday. so as long as idols have fans support, they know ther hard work won't go in vain." but of course she completely blew off what i said and in turn she basically went on about how i didn't have a proper say since my bias group won. (bts) and she also said that the only reason 'a generic, cheap group like bts won is because competition and standards were low and anyone will flock to a group that shows theirs abs all the time.' and when she said that it just ticked me off. and it's weird cause like...other people agreed?? like bts is more than just a flashy ab group. they're not cheap. they're no generic. and so i asked her has she even looked into more than just their title songs and she said no. and i said, then you don't have a right to disregard their efforts, b/c if you gave their albums a chance, their dance videos a chance, then you'd see their not just some cheapskate group.
but of course she didn't want to hear that though all n all. i really hate it when people don't give groups a chance. i mean im not forcing you to like them, but don't bash and judge them when you haven't even given them the time of day y'know? i mean if they truly don't appeal to you then fine, i understand that. but is it really nesscessary to bash a group? people like those groups for a reason, and just because you don't, doesn't mean you have to bring not only the group down, but their fans down too. rant done. u.u
