Backstory: Raised in Prague by two highly artistic parents of French and Spanish descent, Astrid knew she would be a performer for as long as she can remember. Her school years were spent in art schools across Europe where she honed her skills in ballet, painting, and sculpting. Whenever she wasn't perfecting her skills, she spent her time in circuses and art museums throughout Europe with her parents who strongly believed in a well rounded artistic education. This constant exposure to art has given her an appreciation for all forms, from traditional to the more underground forms of artistic expression. By age 13, she was known for her eerily realistic puppets. After graduating, Astrid spent her time developing a new form of puppetry in which involves manipulating the puppets to act as the puppeteer while she appears to be the puppet. With this act, she hopes to make her debut in the Circus of Dreams.
Personality: Astrid has a wild and curious personality. She considers anything new to be a challenge or an inspiration for performances, which she tackles head on and without hesitation. This enthusiasm is sometimes misunderstood as childish or brash. She has no limits if it concerns her art, and expects complete honesty when she receives criticism about her performances. Consequently, her opinions often come off as harsh. Despite her confident behavior and eye-catching fashions, she is completely lost when it comes to romance.
