I think I like sharing my opinion on here because usually people message me and stuff with their own interesting opinion, and to me it's fun to get different point of views.
But anyways down to it.
I've really been avoiding commenting on the Kris lawsuit at all costs because I never wanted to offend anyone with my point of view. But now that this Happy Camp episode with EXO is out and people are trying to toss it around to prove their point that EXO is suffering so much, I feel like I have to vent because it's getting kind of frustrating.
I don't really believe in the tears, at all. How can I? When they were in Korea they were painting Kris to be this horrible traitor who left for no reason and put them through so much pain, but now that they are in China they are sobbing and saying that they can make it through anything together because they are brothers and what not. Truth be told, I don't know which reaction to believe, the traitor talk or the tears, but right now I'm not really cool with either reaction because in my opinion it's unprofessional.
Now I'm not saying they can't have feelings, for Christ's sake they are humans and human beings have feelings, opinions, and thoughts. But do I feel like they are kind of digging a hole for themselves by switching up their opinion so fast and throwing out the whole "this is the new start" ? Yes. I don't think they should really be doing that because it's only driving people, like me, away from them more and more, because you can't just erase the past two years like this. Not to mention the fact that nothing is official, so there's no telling what the outcome of this lawsuit may be.
The reason, though, I think they might be crying in China is because - from what I've heard - Kris is quite popular there and so straight up calling him a traitor probably wouldn't get could reaction from the fans, and so they feel the need to cry on tv so that they can gain pity from the Chinese fans and make it easier for EXO-M to promote there in the future. While in Korea, they can go with that traitor because - once again this is from what I've heard - Korean fans can some times be prejudiced against the Chinese members and so many of them have practically already blacklisted Kris.
And here is where my problem comes in.
For two years these boys have promoted their, "We Are One!" motto. They've put on this facade of them being brothers and like family and just oh so close. And fans fell for it, hell I know I did. For two years, I stupidly believed in those words and really put my time and money into supporting EXO12 because I was sure that this was a group that I would be a fan of for so long.
For two years I believed in them.
And then this Kris lawsuit hits the fan, and I've never seen a group turn on another member so fast. Suddenly they are saying, "This is the new start of EXO." And it's disgusting to me, as a fan who thought that they truly were close, because they turned their backs on Kris so ing fast. And it hurts. It hurts because I can't even imagine how that must feel for him. If they truly were as close as they said, then they should have ing noticed if he was getting to chase after his dreams, they should have noticed that he was being mistreated and that he wasn't happy. If they were truly so close, then they should be happy that he is chasing after his dreams. 11 boys and no one noticed anything? I call bull on that. They knew.
And now that I look back on their old videos, I can see the distance, I can see all the hints that they aren't as close as we think. That this isn't a brotherhood, but just a group of coworkers. It was really never, "We Are One."
I'm starting to notice the reality of this industry and more than ever it's starting to drive me away. Suddenly, I find myself not wanting to truly support EXO anymore, but instead wanting to be there for Yifan.
And as a fan, that's what I'm going to do, I'm going to support Wu Yifan.
I kind of rambled, but yes, this is my official opinion.
