Hey Baes and Babettes,
I just wanted to open discussion - I won't say I'm back back but I should be back more often now, as I've sort of settled into a routine.
We all know that there's a lot of drama going on this year, for a lot of people both personally as well as in the KPOP world and on RPR.
It will pass, I promise you. It'll get better - both in the KPOP world and out of it, just hang tight. If anyone is leaving your favourite group, it doesn't mean they're gone forever. And if they do go for good, support them as they need to be supported because they're already getting a lot of hate. I can't tell you what to do with your life, and I wouldn't want to, but I can promise all of you that if it's a dark time for you, it will get better, even when it least feels like it. And if you're well, I'm glad you're well and wish you to stay that way.
Back to the KPOP world... SM is struggling with scandals at the moment, they aren't the only ones either, I know... and I'm not saying that they're good and just, they have a lot of managers that seriously need replacing and they need to heed more carefully the laws and regulations regarding human rights. With an army of 1,667, can you really guarentee all of them aren't going to be s? Hell I worked as a waitress and my managers were either incompetent, slave drivers or both! And that's nothing to do with SM, it's seemingly hard to hire managers that aren't at least slightly -ish
. HOWEVER, Sooman has lost his wife this year, have some compassion when you think to say HE deserves it. And his world seems to be crumbling at his feet - I suspect that some artists are taking advantage of this and jumping ship asap. I don't condone them for it, but I do condone any fan saying that the company deserves to fall without regard to the consequences, and that it's all undoubtedly Sooman's fault. (Guys, his total in stocks isn't even 30%). The company deserves better managers, better support for idols and a lot of things, but as much as you guys might hate to admit it - THEY ARE GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO. Promoting and expanding, training and choreography... SHINee, DBSK, SHINHWA, SNSD, f(x), SUPERJUNIOR, EXO to name a few they're brought to our stages. Sooman was not joking when he said that SM was the Star Museum. They have a lot of stars, stars that a lot of us love, even if they later left SM or sued SM for whatever reason., however validly.
All in all, I'm just saying, it's all well and good to kick a dog when it's down, but if I had to pick a company to sign under, I would pick SM, because they /know/ what they're doing. If idol-dom would be a career option got me, and my own dream, I would take that chance - 13 year slave contract, health complications and all. And if I were to buy stocks today, I would jump at the chance to by stocks under SM and what some aren't recognising is that if SM goes down, our groups under SM that we've also nurtured and supported and cheered for /will suffer/. And I don't think they're down for good, if you know what I mean.. I want to see what this next year will bring and ask that you guys do the same. If they're stronger and mistreat our idols, let them sue them again and sign under another company, if they're stronger and they've learnt their lesson in regards to that... Then it will be the dawning of a new era, that'd be pretty cool, wouldn't it???
Tell me what you guys think anyway, this isn't an argument, it's a debate or a discussion. Any hateful comments in my personal direction will be deleted and not replied to.
