Hey guys, for those of you who I talk to frequently on here, whether through pm/rp/ooc, you probably noticed that I haven't been around for almost two weeks now. There is a reason for that... and it's a bit of a long explanation, I'm assuming, so please bear with me.
First, I went away for a weekend, which everyone did know about. I was attending a convention in Birmingham and was obviously away from my laptop for it. However... the Saturday of the con I ended up being taken to the emergency room of Birmingham's eye hospital by ambulance as I had not only an eyelid infection but an eye infection too complete with a blister on my eyeball. Yeah... not fun. I ended up returning to the con with two sets of eye drops and some tablet anti-biotics.
I reacted so badly to those tablets Sunday night. I barely slept, was in incredible pain, threw up... and it continued on into Monday morning. Thankfully after we had checked out of the room and was sat in the lobby, I picked up a bit. And we eventually managed to get home.
I did pop on the Tuesday like I said, and managed to get some replies out... Then Weds came around and I felt really tight across my chest. I assumed it was just more trapped gas (a side effect of those tablets) that still hadn't left my system. Though I also fed shoddy cus I was hit with minor conflu, so barely had a voice. Weds night... we had to deal with a situation at around 4am, which I won't get into details of, but the amublance then wasn't called for me.
Thursday the tightness in my chest was even greater, to the point where I couldn't breathe properly. I still thought I would just see how it went, but if it got any worse etc then I would go get it checked out. Friday... it was worse, and even taking my inhaler wasn't helping. We managed to get me an emergency appointment with my doctor, and he ended up calling for an ambulance to take me to the emergency room again, as he wasn't completely sure what it was that was wrong with me. So yes... I was back off to another hospital in another ambulance.
It ended up being a chest infection, which they gave me more tablets for. Thankfully those ones I didn't react badly to. But yes, this is why I haven't been online much at all over the past two weeks ish. A trip away, 2 trips to the emergency room, an emergency family situation... it's a wonder I'm even still upright right now, XD
Thankfully I am on the mend, I finished my course of tablets and am now just waiting for everything to finish clearing up and my head to stop being so light-headed. I am back now, though I will be fairly slow at replies etc as I struggle to catch up with everything that I've missed.
I'm sorry if I worried any of you, or if my absence did cause any inconvenience.
But I am alive, I am okay, and I am back in action though slow.
