Today was a bad day to be quite honest. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it, working eight hours only to make $50 or less. I only get paid in tips mind you-. Many of the baggers at the place tried to fight and say we're workers in court, but we got denied. So we don't get paid by the hour, just by tips and the customers know that. Some customers wait more than 30 minutes in the self check out just because they don't want to tip baggers- I don't get it. I mean I usually don't mind customers and their frugalness but it was just ridiculous today I-. The customers were so cheap and hella rude. It was pouring down rain, and I was completely soaked to the bone and the customer only gave me $2 for two carts in the pouring rain. I had a friend who had three carts and polietly asked the customer to push one of them, and they looked at her with disgust and expected her to push THREE carts by herself, and they only gave her $1. I had another customer today, It was a pretty big order and there was no other bagger available to help me. I bagged more than half of the order by myself, only to find out more than halfway into the order (when the majority of the groceries were on my cart) they begin to tell me that they can push it out. And then the son was like "Oh I'll help you put the groceries back in the cart." But then he just stood there and watched me place the groceries back in the cart. Their bill totaled to at least $200, and you know what I got as a tip? The son tried to give me a ing high five. What the actual . No, they didn't even thank me and just walked out. I kept getting $1 in the damn parking lot with a cartful of groceries or sometimes even two carts. Then I had a customer would park in the other building's parking lot (far from the grocery store) and only gave me like $1. Not to mention the many "back in the cart" and no tip customers I had today I-. Then close to closing I had two customers, and they both stiffed me-. They stayed 20 minutes past closing time-. Lowkey is hating people more and more each day.
Oh and did I mention the fight that happened in the parking lot? A 19 year old girl was sleeping with a 55 year old man or something? And the father was pissed and started fighting the boyfried, but turns out that girl was seeing two guys and they both fought over her. A cashier tried to break up the fight, the cops came and everyone fled. The "boyfriend" was caught. And the dad and the girl went missing? ha. They closed all the gates and tried to find the father and his girl. But it got physical and everyone was pushing each other. I guess that was the only excitement for my day??
