About Us
A thousand years ago, the Angel Raziel mixed his blood with the blood of man and created the race of Nephilim. Human-angel hybrids, they walk among us, unseen but ever present. They call themselves; Shadowhunters. The Shadowhunters obey the laws set down in the Gray Book, given to them by the angel: their mandate is to protect our world from the interdimensional parasites they call demons, who travel from world to world, razing and destroying everything in their path. Theirs is also the task of keeping the peace among the warring Downworlders: the human-demon crossbreeds we know as warlocks, vampires, werewolves, and faeries.
Background Story
"It seems you have stumbled into my world, our world. Your eyes see strange bizarre creatures and events. You ask, "How did I get here? What is this strange world?" All of these things are different, but this world is no different than it was before you opened your eyes. You are the one whom has changed. My name is Jia Penhallow, the Consul, leader of the Shadowhunters, and I am here to assist you. May you be a child of the Nephilim, Lilith's children, or children of the Night, Moon, or Fair Folk, you can come to me for anything.
