the gods are dead.
No one cares anymore about zeus' mighty strike, or the revenge of odin. no one worships hermes, no one worships susano'o. they are irrelevant to modern society, where everyone's eyes are on the biggest thing, or they are on the mystical figure in the sky that is only one person.
what happened to the gods? what happened to those with intense storylines, with thousands of lovers, to those who created storms with a staff, and raised the dead with a strike of the wrist?
they died, a very long time ago. they died because the conflict between humanity was too great, and the fight between mythology and religion was too large of a gap, the gods couldn't withstand. They had passed on, and new figures took charge and no one bothered with affairs of the gods.
where did the refuged go? they had no place in the physical plain as powerful figureheads. they weren't so powerful anymore, they were broken, lost, and meek. no one could save the gods, but no one wanted to.
it took many years for the gods to revive themselves, and even now, they aren't fully revived. but they're back, disguised in human form with a short lifeline and soft skin. the gods must recouperate to get their revenge on humanity for forgetting about them.
this is the gods' last chance to revitalize themselves on the world, but... is the mortal life so bad?

we ask you, in this rp, to cut your own god off from their ties. while you are free to associate yourselves with the godly ties (for example, hera marrying zeus would be a godly tie), you do not have to and we encourage you not to. if you, as horus of egyptian mythology, find yourself incredibly attached to amaterasu of japanese mythology, all i say to you is: go for it.

o3. you may be a god of any mythology. you can be of the greeks, the romans, the japanese, the norse, anything. your password is your favourite colour.
o4. this is a small town, so we ask you to choose backgrounds and occupations suitable for a small town lifestyle (for example, you don't see many strippers, stars, idols, or drug lords in small towns).
o5. you may get a second character upon joining, but in order to get a third character you must have been in the rp for two days and earned 260 points combined with your two characters.
o6. the dating ban is at least 3 days, and we really ask you to develop a relationship in rping.
o7. when you leave, you must pm one of the admins.
O8. reservations last 24 hours, and inactivity is set to 10 days. this is a slow-paced rp so do not feel obligated to keep very active! we just ask you to keep the rp active with rping.
o9. keep ooc in brackets or ooc room. the ic room will be used for things that are in character.
