New discoveries occur on the daily in the Pokemon world! This groundbreaking discovery comes from the remote island of Folescence, where pokemon professor Emerald went on a haphazard expedition into the wilderness and discovered the meeting grounds for many of the pokemon world's most mythical pokemon.
With this discovery in mind, the professor funded a camp and a team of adventurous trainers to help him conduct his research on the island. Catch, battle, train and befriend the local pokemon. Become an integral part of the island by establishing yourself as a potential shop owner, claim your battling prowess by going head to head with fellow trainers, raise your favorite companions, be the island pokemon healer, the choice is yours!
Upon entering, you will receive your starter pokemon and a Rotom Dex. Then you will be awarded 10 pokeballs and your first mission. Every trainer will have a different "mission" to complete within 7 days of being here. This is considered the initial activity check. These missions can be anything from, "level up your starter to its next evolution," to "catch a water-type pokemon" to "befriend a pokemon." All missions are recorded and tallied in the Mission Room. Completed missions are awarded prizes.

rules

favorite the roleplay, and then comment your faceclaim! everyone of any descent or uality is welcome. all "trainers" must be 19+, as in the lore of Folescence it is too uncharted and dangerous for child trainers to explore. the only thing we ask is that the faceclaims be alive and not a fc who seeks not to be roleplayed. Faceclaims from different eras are also welcomed. For example, megan fox in her jennifer's body era.

mature content is welcomed within context. this is where we bring a bit of reality to the poke-verse. all adult themes are welcomed with due respect to the concept. we are not children participating in the pokeworld anymore, so tragic and mature storylines are acceptable. the mention of pokemon death and the inclusion of it in ones background is allowed, but no pokemon shall presently "die" within the roleplay.

The application is simple; list your favorite starter of any generation (that will be your starter,) and give a 3 or more sentence description on why your character took this job opportunity at folescence. The only thing I ask for is some kind of starter diversity. please don't everyone choose charmander. Keep in mind all starters can be eventually caught in the roleplay.

no godmodding, the admin has taken precautionary measures for the battling and leveling of pokemon in the roleplay to be as legitimate as possible so do not overextend your reach. It is perfectly plausible to "be the very best" here, but you have to put in the work.

This roleplay has a lot of working gears and I am aware of its complexity, so do not hesitate to ask questions or make mistakes! You will be rewarded for trying regardless. because it has so many moving parts, suggestions for improvement and easy additions are more than welcomed in the Professor's pm

character rivalries go without saying, but please do not bring it ooc. one warning will be administered before you are kicked for starting drama.

Looking for admins.
The professor is on the prowl for assistants to help him oversee battles and research.
I need two admins specifically, both will help me oversee the evolution/training hub. One will be in charge of the trade hub, and one admin to oversee the battle centre and mediate professional battles. Both would need to be proficient in pokemon lore. Once granted the position as professor, you can choose one companion pokemon from any region, level, or typing. Excluding legendaries. Professors are the only characters able to immediately use Mega stones and have (1) pre-leveled up pokemon upon entry.
