▶On Campus

@♚ Kris The shrill sound of the bell, signalling the end of lunch, rang throughout the entire school. Tao's eyes roamed outside the window as he looked at all the students hurrying to class. Soon enough, his english class was filled and lesson was going to begin. The teacher entered the class and started taking the attendance. Lowering the volume of his music, Tao listened for his name to be called out. He merely raised his hand halfway when the teacher called out his full name before dropping it back onto the table. He then turned up the volume of his music as he leaned back against the chair, staring in disinterest at the front of the classroom. English wasn't one of his favourite subjects after all.

Tightly holding the strap of her back pack, Sulli deeply sighed before entering the school gate. It's her first year in high school and she is rather excited than nervous.
Upon coming to this school, Sulli brought with her the hopes of making new friends and reaching her long time dream, to become a theater actress.
"You can do this Choi Jinri!" She punched her fists in the air, cheering herself up.
She looked around the campus as she made her way towards the School Administration Building. And upon observing, she noticed the different students being grouped up to their own peers.
"Will I find my own peers too?" She pouted, but smiles right after.

@♚ Tao As Kris grumbled to himself, he looked over to the left to see a young man in the classroom as well. He had dark black hair and a pretty nice complexion... In fact, that might have been his half-brother. But then again, there were a lot of asian boys with black hair. He shrugged it off and continued to listen to his music and stare out the large window pane until the bell rang.

@♚ Kris Getting bored of surfing the net on his phone, Tao laid his phone down on the table. He then pushed his chair back, noisily scraping it against the floor and let his head fall back, his eyes closed and arms stretching up as he let out a soft groan. He let his arms limply fall back down and stayed in his position for a few moments before cracking his neck from side to side and opening his eyes to look at the clock at the front of the classroom. He still had at least 10 more minutes to kill before class started.

@♚ Tao The tall boy sluggishly walked up the stairs onto the second floor. He looked around and then back down at his schedule. _____. They put him in English 1. What the hell? Didn't these airheads know English was his first language? He had been in a junior college class for English back in Seattle, where the parliament had sent him. He angrily walked into the classroom, not realizing anyone was there as he sat in the back, leaning in his chair and blasting rap music from his golden earbuds.

@♚ Kris Tao sauntered in the hallways, heading for his english class. He vaguely remebered it to be English 1, the first classroom on the second floor of the building. As expected, he saw no one in class through the transparent windows along the classroom. He slid open the door and sat down right at the back of the class, putting his notebook and pen on the table. As per usual, he took out his earpiece and plugged it into his phone before putting them in his ears. Hip hop music blasting out as he nodded along and played with his phone to waste time away. He was too engrossed in whatever he was doing to even notice his surroundings.

@♚ Tao He grinned as the boy looked back and gave a slight wave before he disappeared. Sluggishly walking towards his locker, he wondered about his brother. Was he like him at all? Did they have similarities? And why was he in such a rush to get to class if there were still fifteen minutes left of lunch? Almost a million questions went streaming through his head as he opened up his locker and began pulling out his textbook for the next class. Which class did he have next again? Wasn't he in English 2, on the second floor of that building? The boy shrugged. That was probably the right class he had to go to.

@♚ Kris Tao froze mid-step when he heard Kris yell out something to him. Hesistantly, he turned around and bowed slightly at the elder, a small awkward smile on his face. "Ah, neh." He thought that he should at least reply the elder, his manners never forgotten, before continuing his way to class. He briefly glanced at his watch and concluded that he would only get a few minutes to himself before lunch was over.

@♚ Tao "Oh, okay, I understand..." He stuttered a bit as the other began walking away. He turned around and called out to him, wondering why he seemed so uninterested in Kris. "I-I'll see you around, then!" He sighed a little, hoping his brother wouldn't turn out to be mean and cold-hearted, like most people. He never even knew he had a brother. Yes, only a half-brother, but still.

@♚ Kris "Yeah, he did. I'm Tao." The younger curtly replied before bowing back respectly in return. "I have to get to class, sorry." He promptly added to avoid talking with the elder for any longer. He could feel the stares of the loitering students on him and all he wanted right then was some time to himself. He bowed his head and took a side step before walking off.

@♚ Tao The elder kept his cool, observing the younger in front of him. He seemed so stiff and awkward, but then again they had just met. "So /you're/ him?... Well..." Kris gave a 90 degree bow and half-smiled. "Wu Yifan imnida... I'm, uh, you're half-brother... I think dad told you I would be going here now?," he stared in a questioning manner, not sure if the black-haired boy knew or not.

@♚ Kris Lady luck was obviously not on Tao's side as his worst thoughts came true. Instead of walking last him, Kris had stopped in front of him, blocking his path. Tao came to a halt before he bumped into the elder. Upon hearing the elder's question, his body tensed up unconsciously. Due to their few centimetres height difference, Tao had to look up to meet Kris' eyes. He slowly nodded in reply to the question. "Neh."

As the school bell rang. Tiffany quickly hurried to get her school books in her locker to go to her next class when she saw two boys talking to each other. She just ignored it and went straight to her class.

When she came in to her class, everybody was seated and they're teacher was also there.

"I'm sorry Sir. I'm sorry for being late." Tiffany bows then walks inside and sat at the back of the class. She places her bag down and gets her notebook then listens to her teacher.

@♚ Tao As the tall young boy passed through, several of the other students staring him down for not wearing the uniform, he was greeted silently by another boy with jet black hair. He returned the bow and half-smiled. As he got close, he could see the other boy's physical appearance more and squinted a little. His features seemed familiar. Could he possibly be his half-brother, the one his father spoke of before he left to attend the academy. Curiosity caught the best of him and he stopped dead in front of the other, looking down at him from his rather large height. "Excuse me, but... are you Huang ZiTao?" He asked, his tone soft and quiet.

Lunch started moments ago and most of the students had made a beeline for the cafeteria. But unlike them, Tao wasn't hungry and he had decided to just idle his time away in his next class where he knew that there wasn't going to be any students disturbing him. With only his notebook and a pen in hand, he sauntered through the empty hallways with a peaceful mind. What he didn't expect was to meet the single person he was trying hard to avoid, his half-brother, Kris. The older boy was coming from the opposite direction and Tao saw no other way around it. As the distance between them grew smaller, Tao mustered a small smile that he hoped didn't look too forced and bowed his head slightly in greeting. In his mind, he hoped that the older boy would let him pass quietly.
