Seuk Hye examined the rooftop, noticing the small garden on the right side and a couple of bench on the left side.'Seems like no ones visiting here, might as well do my homework to let the time pass'.While doing her homework,Seuk Hye started to sing; 'Umkyeo jwin maeumi jakku sae eonaga oh-
sumgyeobogo gamchwodo modu heulleonaga oh-'
@♚ Yixing "Ah yes, il ne sera pas difficile~" Xiumin smiled softly as he shifted in his seat, thinking about how he was meant to explain to someone how to speak with an accent like he could have come out so fluently. Really it would be easier to take Yixing back to France and to immerse themselves with the populace once more, to heat the lovely lulling sound of the French accent that was known the world over. Shaking his head, the brunette knew that wasn't an option, at least not right now.
"Say anything to me in French, anything at all then I'll repeat it with the accent so you can copy it."
@⁂ Xiumin Lay shook his head as the other seemed to feel bashful about it, ""I really liked it. It sounds so pretty and it's kinda se- It's just really cool." Nodding, he smiled, "I've forgotten which now.. Tres beau?" Drinking his own iced coffee and looking to his teacher, he closed the big book and smiled, fidgeting. The other looked so... pretty? Was that the right word? With the breeze and the afternoon sky bright and blue behind him.
"You... said I need help with pronounciation, right?"
@♚ Yixing "Huh?" Xiumin had paused speaking about Marie to listen to the younger's question, wondering what word he meant since he'd spoke so many about the young maid. Rubbing the back of his head, he blinked and shrugged.
"Which on, Lay? I just kinda had a word vomit moment in French at you..." The round-faced teacher laughed bashfully at himself, rubbing the back of his head before he finished his iced coffee. Chucking the tin away in the bin across the way, he smiled when he got it in before turning his whole body to face Yixing, hands resting on his knees whilst the soft breeze ruffled through his brunette hair.
@⁂ Xiumin The trouble with Lay was... once he was absorbed, he was totally absorbed... You could have been in a different country and it would make no difference to him because there was no-one home and he was off with the fairies. But he heard that bit, even if he didn't respond, before becoming totally engrossed.
Feeling eyes on him, something not unusual for the male, he stirred out of a particularly telling tell to close to the other, seeing the other male and smiling.
There was something about his face. Yixing couldn't quite place it. But it was nice, like something refined without being sharp and uncomfortable as he saw his own face to be.
Listening to the French, he finally interuppted, "That word... I think I read it in this book too. Can you tell me what it means, Baozi? The one you just said about Marie"
@♚ Yixing "Wanna know how I learnt French? I had a maid there teach me. Ah... Marie, she was so sweet, half Korean half French you see. The perfect balance for looks, she was very pretty" Xiumin laughed softly at the memory and looked over to the younger as he was reading more than happily and translating for himself. He watched as Yixing looked so absorbed, he himself becoming lost in how majestic and perfect the royal always looked unlike himself. Speaking of blue blood, he wondered when or even if he should tell his student that he too was of a royal decent, maybe, maybe not. Turning back to the blue clouds, he sipped at his coffee again before commenting on sleep.
"I would have just fallen asleep straight away in bed then I wouldn't have got them done in time and I'm glad I did, look how much you're enjoying them" The brunette smiled warmly to himself, yawning behind his hand before he started speaking in French to himself about Marie, chuckling now and then.
@⁂ Xiumin That tender smile made Yixing's heart go patter, but he didn't know what that meant. It was just another fond trait to add to the other's repertoire. However, the words that came from the other shocked him a little.
"You... At least should have done it in bed, Baozi, you might get sick!" he frowned, still clutching and cradling the thoughtful gifs. Catching the coffee, he looked down again before opening it.
"Pronounciation... Well, I haven't had anyone to speak to you see." Lay smiled up, "With you I'm sure it will come." For the next ten minutes, he tried to struggle with the book before sighing and switching to the cards, using them to try translate stories and becoming engrossed all over again.
@♚ Yixing Xiumin rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment, cheeks going a little pink as he nodded his head softly and smiled tenderly at his student.
"Mhm, this bench makes a pretty comfy bed as it turns out" Scratching his cheek bashfully, the shorter man smiled softly seeing how he'd given his belongings to someone who would treasure and look after them rather well. Slipping his hand back into his bag, the man brought out two cans of ice coffee, tossing Yixing one before he opened his own and tilted his head back, looking at the blue sky and wispy clouds.
"You need to work on your pronunciation but that'll come, it always does with a language no matter what it is" The brunette opened his drink and sipped the contents, letting the younger look over the cards for the time being.
@⁂ Xiumin Lay laughed, pleased with that response to say the least. Leaning back he suddenly saw something emerge from the man's bag... And knew what it was from the cover binding alone. Looking back and forth from the book and the teacher, only laughing louder as the other slapped his head tenderly. Taking and cradling the book in his hands as if it were a small child, he looked wide eyed at the emerging cards, realising something. The teacher had to have made these specially - he'd never taught anyone else French and these certainly weren't the man's own notes.
"Did you make these... After we spoke last night?!" he asked, gratitude swirling in his eyes. He bowed deeply, even seated, "I will, I'll take amazing care of them, I promise!"
@♚ Yixing Xiumin listened quietly, the wording and sentence structure fine, not even wobbly in fact. The man problem was, he sounded like a Asian male speaking French which... didn't mix very well. As for the teacher, whenever he spoke he spoke with a silky Frenchman's accent that just seemed to come naturally, so he made a mental note of it being something he teach the other how to do properly. Clapping his hands softly, he grinned and spoke up.
"Bravo! You haven't got a bad grasp on it so far, that's for sure. It's basic stuff but, a solid start. And for the last time I'm not a dumpling!" The older smacked Yixing's head lightly and laughed, turning to his bag and rummaging around in the contents before he brought out a book and handed it to the royal. It was a book of French fairytales, owned and treasured by the smaller man.
"Look after it, you can try reading it when you get better but keep it safe for now. Oh, and thanks for the brownie. Now where did I put those cards..." The brunette had spent a good portion of his night also making beginner learner cards for the other man, bringing them out and popping them in the taller's lap.
@⁂ Xiumin As always, the teacher looked adorable. Again. Lay had lost track of how often he thought that line. So the bookworm settled himself down and thought for a bit about what to say, what would show the extent of his vocabulary...
Smiling, he started, "Bonjour, mon nom est Lay. Je suis ici à l'école comme élève, mais j'ai envie de voyager en France. Mon français pourrait ne pas être le meilleur, mais je vais apprendre vite et de travailler dur. Aussi mon professeur de boulette est très mignon."
When he finished, he sighed, frowning and looking to his teacher for approval. It wasn't much and he'd slipped in a cheeky line, but maybe it was somewhere to start. So the unicorn fidgeted with his fingers and bit his lip, hoping he hadn't ruined his star student status in a breath. Xiumin had looked at him so expectantly as well.
@♚ Yixing As soon as Xiumin pushed past the door to the rooftop, he smiled as the sun beat down on his skin and warmed him, fresh air having a similar affect to him like that of which sports did. Placing his satchel down on the bench, the brunette tugged off his jumper, leaving his baby blue shirt on underneath, the sleeves reaching to his palms and thumbs poking through a pair of cut holes on the item. Stretching his arms above his head, the man smiled his lopsided smile before returning to Yixing and folding his legs under him.
"So lay on me all you know in French already, lemme hear what you got" The teacher made a 'come here' motion with his hand before leaning his elbows on his knees and his chin in his palms, listening as he stared at the royal from behind his glasses in his usual manner, waiting expectantly.
@♝ Naeun Kai knew he wasn't supposed to, but out of curiosity, he 'woke up' the phone and saw that Naeun didn't have a passcode. So, he curiously opened the messaging app and read the messages.
It said: Naeun-ah. It's your brother's death anniversary. You should come home now.
Then another one came a minute later: Son Naeun! Why aren't you replying? Did you even see the message? Are you dancing again young lady?!
'Wait...she dances?'
Kai decided to try and get Naeun OUT of trouble, so he replied: I'm sorry appa. I was reading and I didn't hear the phone. I'll be there...
Then he chose to take a risk and ask her dad: Appa...I don't even remember anymore...why did I stop dancing? Even if time has passed it feels like a dream...what happened to oppa and where's umma? I felt like I saw here in my room this morning greeting me "good morning" and oppa dancing in his room...
Kai thought silently and then waited for her dad's reply.
Then it came: Is there something wrong Naeun? ...Naeun-ah...it isn't a dream...remember? Your oppa and umma died...in that accident three years ago...and you stopped dancing because of your depression...There's one thing I don't know though...Why do you wear that glove?
'Oh sh*t I don't know how to answer that...so this is what happened...'
He replied again: I'll tell you when I get home appa...see you.
: Come home safely..
and the conversation ended.
'Woah...I better find her...'
Then he ran in the direction he last saw Naeun go and started searching.
@♝ Naeun Kai was startled when he saw Naeun walk fast past him.
"What the.."
He was about to follow her again when he saw something. Naeun's phone.
"She needs that."
So he grabbed the phone when all of a sudden a message popped up. It was from her father.
@♞ Yejun Myungsoo cocked his head slightly to the right and blinked, "Why would they give us weird looks? There isn't anything wrong with the two of us being friends, right?" It hadn't even mattered to Myungsoo that people aside from them would view them as strange, especially considering their social statuses. To Myungsoo, any person willing to be his friend was a person worth keeping.
@♞ Yejun He fidgeted when his hand had been held by the other, but upon hearing the anxious tone in his voice, Myungsoo's own breath became more lax. He wasn't use to handling people, but suddenly from seeing how instant the change was in the other, he himself didn't feel as awkward anymore. Myungsoo lightly squeezed his hand as a gesture of assurance and smiled softly, "It's okay. I'm pretty bad at the whole regular friend thing too. We can both make mistakes together and fix them together. I mean, it's nice being with you after all."
@♞ Yejun "Friends?" Myungsoo repeated and actually enjoyed the way the word sounded. If there was anything Myungsoo lacked, it was friends and gaining one from this school was much to his advantage as he couldn't for the life of him start a conversation on his own. The key point which had caught his attention though was the starting over part, sure he had liked what had progressed from the summer, but that was the problem - it wasn't summer anymore. Myungsoo nodded and let a small smile form on his lips, "Yeah, I'd like that actually. We could be friends here."
@♞ Yejun Being pulled into the hug had taken Myungsoo by surprise and he didn't have enough time to react as the other began bombarding him with friendly questions, things that Myungsoo wasn't use to answering and so slowly he had to process them all, his brow furrowing and his fingers getting clammy from the close (but pleasantly familiar) proximity of the two boys. "Yeah, I go here, I didn't know that /you/ did though," he answered and sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, "I've been doing okay and..." He paused, not sure if he missed Yejun or not, clearly thinking this whole reunion was quiet absurd given they only knew each other briefly through the summer and the fact that most of the 'getting to know each other' was done through their bodies and not their words.
@♞ Yejun All Myungsoo had wanted to do was study. It wasn't that hard to go into the library and pull open a few books, the only problem was that the whole place was already occupied and why does such a large school like this only have one library?
The only other place he could think of on school grounds that would (hopefully) be unoccupied was the rooftop and so he took his steps up the stairs until he pulled open the door and was immediately surprised to find another student here, resting with a pillow on one of the benches. He figured one other person wasn't bad and that he could just take a corner somewhere else, at least until the other noticed him and immediately everything he had been trying to forget over the summer came crashing back down.
Myungsoo froze in place with his mouth slightly parted and he had to force it move, "Uhm.. Yes?"
"What did I do? I'm sure I didn't do anything wrong.." Kai continued and Naeun could feel her fist clenching tightly. Frankly speaking, Naeun wasn't actually sure why she got so worked up.
Maybe its because Kai accused her of trying to bring him down with her words..or maybe its because that day happened to be her brother's birthday. And everytime that day came, her words and thoughts all mingled up into one large clump of negativity.
Maybe, Kai reminded her so much about her brother. His dancing, his moves, his smile.
Her eyes watched intently at the girl who suddenly hugged her. Naeun didn't want to be rude but she really need to leave. Everything was starting to spin, flashbacks of the accident kept rushing into her mind. She removed the girl's hand and stood up, her phone completely forgotten and she walked away...
'I want to talk. I want to dance again.' Naeun thought as she walked past Kai.
@♝ Kai Krystal walked forward looking around the place finally noticing Kai but the thing is he wasn't alone, and the girl with him was crying for some reason "Kai? What did you do?" she wondered as she walked to both of them and pulled the girl in a hug "Are you okay?" she asked her softly as she tried to make her stop crying.
@♝ Naeun Kai watched as the girl's face stayed as a pokerface, with tears falling down. "Why are you crying?" he asked. "What did I do? Im sure I didnt do anything wrong..." Kai really didnt know what to do because the only crying girl he had dealt with was krystal and he didnt know if naeun would react the same as krystal.
@♝ Kai Naeun could hear the faint sound of the door swinging open but that was the least of her worries. Her phone kept ringing, the tune of the song ringing loudly but Naeun heed no attention.
Memories of her musical days flashed past her mind and she let out a loud sob, remembering a day where she had won the National Dance Competition.
'What a joke.' She scoffed bitterly in her mind.
Nonetheless, her phone kept ringing and the sound of Dubstep was starting to annoy her. Naeun decided to just answer the phone.
Until she remembered.
She couldn't talk.
Naeun stared at the vibrating phone before shifting her gaze towards the door. Her face stayed completely stoic but the tears continued to roll.
Chorong entered the rooftop and walked until her hands met the railings. She breathed in and let out all her worries. She didn't want to open her eyes because it would only mean going back to her boring life.
But she had to because the bell have already rang.
"I want to skip."
Chorong sat by the railings. She decided to skip history.
@♝ Naeun Kai reached the rooftop and before he opened the door, he swore he could hear sniffling. He then opened the door wide to see naeun sittting on the floor leaning on the wall.
'She's crying? Why?'
Jae Ah was wandering all over the school when suddenly she saw a open door. "Hmm?"
She went to it and found herself at the rooftop. "Isn't this supposed to be locked?" she said to herself.
"Hmm..." she took out her cellphone and searched for a signal. "Aigoo~ I wonder what's happening at home now..."
