Café

@Bae Suzy He nodded and set down his dog tag carefully. "Yeah it's fine." It wasn't like it had his pack on it or anything but he just wore it to remind himself. As a sort of token. It was blank, he hadn't yet decided what he wanted to engrave in it.

@Bae Suzy He stared at the mansion completely blown away by it. "Its...," He looked at her before smiling brightly. "Awesome." He said. As he followed her he silently prayed that there weren't any traps. He shook his head then remembered his dog tag. "Well just this.." He said as he lifted it from around his neck.

@Bae Suzy Bambam held in his sigh of relief. Exactly how could he explain his situation with leaving out one major factor. The factor that he was a werewolf. He didn't know how she'd react, he honestly didn't know whether or not there were hunters crawling all over her house but he was already there and no way to jump ship. "Woah.." He said as he caught a glimpse of her house.

@Bae Suzy He nodded, understanding what she meant. His 'foster parents' were his pack. And because he was an omega he felt as if the only time any of them really paid attention to him was when he was in heat or in trouble. While he did get in trouble frequently the most he would get from it was a scolding and perhaps a punishment so even then he wasn't really being noticed. "They do..but perhaps this has its advantages! I mean- You certainly wouldn't want my situation." He said.

@Bae Suzy He opened his mouth to speak then closed it. He wasn't sure that he should tell her since he didn't want to let anything about him being a wolf slip out. "Um my foster parents live here.." He said quietly, hoping that that would make the conversation take another turn.

@α Wu Yifan That made a lot of sense to Kyungsoo as to why he'd never experienced such a thing. He's only been part of one pack in his life, the one he was born in, with his father being the alpha. After he left, though, he hadn't joined another. Kyungsoo had been on his own for a long time, and he was used to it. Even so, wolves were social creatures, and Kyungsoo could feel his inner wolf strain and whine in the presence of Yifan. It wanted to spend more time with the alpha, longing to feel the closeness of companionship once again. Kyungsoo had a harder time smothering his wolf than usual, and some of the loneliness filtered out into his eyes, though, his mouth was smiling.

Picking up his sweater from the back of his chair, Kyungsoo slid it on, adjusting the buttons slowly. He felt it was implied that they would leave soon and go separate ways. The omega watched the child do some last minute coloring before they found themselves outside, "Well, thank you. It was nice meeting you, Yifan," Kyungsoo bowed again, smiling softly. In the back of his mind, he wondered if they'd see each other again.

@Bae Suzy He shook his head quickly, smiling at her in what he hoped was a convincing way. "No no I'm fine and I'm not reconsidering." He said. He was happy to be with what he supposed was a new friend but he was still worried. He wouldn't need the publicity.

@ω Do Kyungsoo He had found out why families within packs smelled similar out of curiosity growing up. Yifan didn't understand before why his scent had changed moving packs, and all it took was one simple question to get his answer. "It takes a lot of inner pack bonding - touching and whatnot - but it's nothing too intimate. Our noses are sensitive so touch is the best way to make it happen."

Rubbing his hands together, Yifan watched the waiter come back over to get the check. He was determined to finish off the last of his drink before they left. The boy's drink was in a nice plastic to-go cup already so it seemed he was more content to look at the drawing then to finish it and leave it at the table. "It's not a problem. Maybe I should've said earlier that it would be my treat." Yifan smiled, swallowing any question about the bow down. It wasn't his place to ask at the moment. Or maybe it was the more western side of him showing through.

@α Wu Yifan Tilting his head to one side, Kyungsoo lifted a brow curiously, "Really? That's something I never knew," he said, regarding the topic of wolves in the same pack having matching scents. Honestly, it had never occurred to him, but, now that he thought about it, it made a lot of sense. So, he'd learned quite a few new things today.

Again, Kyungsoo was taken aback, and genuinely surprised, when Kris insisted on paying. He gave a chortled of disbelief and slowly retracted his money, "A-Alright... if you say so..." he put the money in his pocket, another sheepish smile on his face, "Thank you, again. You're too kind," the omega bowed his head in a gesture of respect and thanks.

@ω Do Kyungsoo "Our scents are similar. It's one of the most efficient way to tell who belongs to which pack." Yifan said. Still, despite that similarity, there would be nothing else to prove that they're related to each other. Yifan was nothing but the kid's pack leader, just a mentor. Distractedly, using his own napkin to make sure that the boy had properly wiped his face and hands. There was a little bit on his cheek and fingers, but luckily nothing was on his clothes.

As he caught the waiter coming he attempted to beat Kyungsoo to paying, but didn't. He was just a moment too slow. The bills were already on the table before he could take his wallet out of his pocket. "I would've paid for all of us. There's no need to pay for your meal. We invited you." Yifan insisted, trying to brush the bills of the check so that he could put the total on top. "It's only right for me to pay, really." He had put enough to cover the bill, plus a tip, onto the table. He didn't want the other to pay, otherwise he would've suggested two checks. But he didn't. It was his treat.

@Bae Suzy He scoffed, thinking of the irony. He felt the same way everyday, only he was the one with superpowers. He looked at her. "I would be pulling my hair out from the stress." He said. Looking back outside he hoped none of them snapped a picture of him. He'd be in so much trouble with the pack if a picture of him with a politicians daughter was leaked.

@α Wu Yifan Kyungsoo responded with a light chuckle, and he pulled his napkin that had been in his lap and folded it before placing it on his empty plate, "Most of my students are humans, so I'm not as surprised as I would have been were my class full of wolves," he sat back in his chair, stretching his arms up, bones cracking from the movement. The crowd in the cafe was thinning out, and the omega could see out the window to see the sky a deep orange and purple as the sun set.

The waiter had brought over the check near the end of their meal, and Kyungsoo dug in his bag to get out his wallet, fishing out a few bills and sliding them onto the check, "That should cover my expense, plus tips," he said as he put his wallet away, "Thank you for inviting me, believe it or not, I never go out..." Kyungsoo's smile was sheepish.

@Bae Suzy He let himself be dragged, ducking his face so none of the reporters could see his face. He got in the car and pulled up his hood, looking at her. "That was crazy, yeah I'm fine." He leaned back and looked out the window at all of the reporters snapping pictures. "Is it always like this?" He asked, looking at her in disbelief.

@Bae Suzy Bambam gulped and was completely lost for words. While she seemed nice and he liked talking to her he wasn't sure. Would a politicians house have traps for werewolves? He was positive all politicians knew about their existence and most weren't the friendliest when it came to their species so why not have protection? Trying to seem casual he put away the mask and glasses, wrapping the headphones around his neck. He stood. "Um sure just I need to text my siblings." He said with a smile. He figured if he said no it would be suspicious. Quickly he sent a group text to the alphas of the pack, hoping they wouldn't get mad that he wasn't coming home when he said he was. "Okay let's go!"

@Bae Suzy He smiled and nodded. When the guards came rushing in he glanced down at his phone, drinking his hot chocolate as casually as he could. He glanced up, seeing them walk right by the table they were sitting at.

@ω Do Kyungsoo Unfortunately, he had always been a slow eater so as he continued to have his meal the silence returned. Only luckily this time the silence was not the awkward kind. It was nice that they could sit there comfortably with each other. Whatever tension had been in the air had been hashed out nicely. Yifan was mostly done with his meal when he heard a question pop up. Hesitating, he finished one last bite and looked to the little alpha who was having fun making more of a mess of his meal than eating it.

"I - Well, no, I'm not." Yifan noticed how the boy didn't care for the conversation and only continued to eat, though he did see how his ears perked up the topic in general. "I'm surprised more people didn't see that on their own tonight. It's a nice thought, but we look too different for me to be the father." Yifan cleaned off one hand, feeling full enough to not finish his meal, to put it on the boy's head, messing with his hair again. He got a glance his way, though it seemed food was more interesting then he was.

@α Wu Yifan Silence enveloped the small table once more, and Kyungsoo was first to finish his meal. He watched the little alpha eat messily, finding it endearing. The omega gently wiped the child's mouth clean of ketchup, poking his cheek playfuly and earning a giggle. Kyungsoo returned it with a wink, taking a drink from his newly refilled water glass.

As they sat there, it gave Kyungsoo a chance to study the two wolves before him. He chuckled after a bit, "You're not really his father, are you?" he'd noticed a few distinct differences between their facial structures. Usually, wolves had a striking resemblance to their parents, and the little alpha was too different from Yifan to really be his son, brother... cousin maybe. But not son.

@ω Do Kyungsoo He could tell that there was some kind of progression. Yifan almost instantly caught onto how the latter seemed to relax, the way his shoulders slouched. His inward victory caused by whatever he had said was interrupted when their food came. He was going to help the boy cut his food but he was beaten to it. Apparently, it was more a reflex than a thought to the teacher to do this for his student. He was unable to resist a more genuine smile, a full smile, at the sight.

To preoccupy himself from going anything stupid, he began to eat his own meal, using that as a distraction. Silence came over the table for a few moments. There was some loud slurping from the little alpha finishing his drink and the sounds of chewing, but not a lot of conversation.

"Kyungsoo it is then." Yifan nodded in understanding. It felt better knowing his name rather than calling him 'the omega' or whatever else his mind supplied in place of an actual name.

@α Wu Yifan Kyungsoo felt comforted by Yifan's reassurance, and he nodded, sinking deeper in his chair. He was more relaxed now, and it showed. Finally, their food arrived, and he perked up, popping a few french fries into his mouth right away. Helping the little boy cut his food into smaller pieces, the omega gave him his fork so he could eat properly.

Kyungsoo was quiet, he was eating after all. He hadn't noticed how hungry he was until he'd smelled his meal. Despite his tiny stature, the omega always ate well. He glanced up at Yifan every once and a while while he chewed, cheeks occupied before he cleared them to speak, "You can call me Kyungsoo, by the way," he said, eyes forming crescents, "Somehow, I feel weird when adults call me Mr. Do," he chortled.

@ω Do Kyungsoo "Since I feel like it's something that isn't my place to ask, I won't," Yifan conceded, "but if you want to tell me, I won't stop you." He continued to stir his drink, getting a bit louder since the ice cubes were slowly melting and it was getting easier to let them clank around. For a moment, he broke off from the fidgeting just so he could take a drink. When he was done he was back at it, making noise just for the sake of making noise - especially when a man in the background began chatting on his phone in the cafe.

Although it was hard to place his finger on why, he felt better that he had apologized. Really, he hadn't done anything wrong but it still felt good. Yifan didn't like that this omega was thinking of him in such a bad light when they had only first met. It was like, after apologizing, they were beginning to start anew somehow. "I know. But it felt right. I'm sorry for whatever had happened in the past. Things will be different now. I, for one, am nothing like that."

@α Wu Yifan Nodding, the omega looked solemnly at the water in his drink. He shook his head right after, running a hand down the front of his face in a wiping motion, as if the gesture would clear away all of his turmoil and confusion, "I know... it's just...," he shook his head again, "If you know what I've been through, you'd understand," Kyungsoo glanced at the child. Now was not the time to be discussing such inappropriate and unpleasant matters.

Kyungsoo was taken aback by Yifan's repentance, and his eyes went to their natural round, large size. He stared at the alpha for a half a second longer than was necessary before he shook his head, "You don't have to. You didn't do anything to me that demands an apology," he waved his small hands in a dismissive manner, biting back a small grateful smile.

@ω Do Kyungsoo Once Yifan had given the picture his own approval and praise, he answered, "All alphas aren't like that. I know that's not the most original thing to say, but it's true. Some alphas would give anything to find a mate. I had a friend who treated his mate better than himself. It all depends on the alpha you find." Yifan wasn't sure how else to phrase it. He was shocked to see that it was his being an alpha that made the omega so nervous. Of course, it was better and made more sense than disliking Yifan himself. They had never met before, but he had jumped to conclusions and didn't think to deduct that it was his status that made this omega afraid.

Thinking of how else to explain things, Yifan took one of the crayons laying on the table and doodled on the picture where there was white space. Just a simple smiley face that the boy glanced for a moment, attempted to draw on Yifan's hand on crayon, then returned to his coloring. "I feel like I should apologize, but I'm not really sure if I have the right to." Absentmindedly, Yifan played with the straw in his drink, stirring it around to hear the ice cubes clink along the sides of the glass. With his other hand he ran his fingers along the condensation, drawing the characters of his name in Chinese to fill the silence.

@α Wu Yifan Kyungsoo had busied himself with fishing out a piece of ice from his water, sliding it into his mouth and biting down with a satisfying crunch. He saw Yifan's smile and returned it with one of his own, albeit, smaller. He took a deep breath and let out a slow sigh, "I guess I'm just... well, I guess... I'm confused, surprised, really," the omega went on. The boy had patted his arm and requested his attention to show his drawing, Kyungsoo smiled and delivered flawless praise. Satisfied, the child hummed and went back to his task.

Still smiling, Kyungsoo glanced back at Yifan, his expression muting a bit, "You're really the first alpha to... well, act like an actual person to me, rather than... /that/ side of themselves," Kyungsoo looked down, his tone souring when he referred to the wolf they all had lying dormant inside of them.

@ω Do Kyungsoo Yifan tried not to get too wrapped up in things. The kid was happy with how things were going. He had a picture to color and his favorite teacher - as if he had that many to use as examples already - was with him, as well as his alpha. Yifan could feel how the child's happiness was helping the general atmosphere. The stiffness that this teacher had around him at the library compared to now was much different than it was before.

Once the waiter returned, the good mood didn't fade. In fact, it seemed to get a little bit stronger. Yifan ordered his meal and let the little alpha order his own his own as well as per his request. They were left alone briefly before drinks came to their table. It would be a little while until their actual meal came out, but at least a drink would provide Yifan with something to fidget with as they sat there. Or so he intended on doing before he heard an apology. "Don't worry about it. I followed you outside because I smelled something. Anyone in their right mind would've found that weird." Yifan smiled weakly. He had meant well, not that it turned out too good in the end at the time.

@α Wu Yifan Looking around the restaurant, Kyungsoo was glad the child was still with them. It gave him a little bit of a buffer, and time to calm down. He was fairly calm to begin with. On the short walk from the school to the cafe, the omega had been able to observe how Yifan interacted with the boy. He couldn't lie, he liked what he saw. It was something that started the process of putting his insecurities to rest. Kyungsoo knew he could be irrational at times. Well, more often than not, it was the case. He knew he shouldn't focus on just a person's rank, but at who they were on the inside. It was just hard.

Now, Kyungsoo quietly leafed through his menu, selecting what he wanted and ordering when the waiter returned. He hadn't said more than two dozen words since he'd agreed to go to dinner with the other two. The child didn't seem to mind, he was used to Kyungsoo's quietness. The omega definitely considered himself a man of few words, and whenever he did choose to speak, he meant it. With the little alpha stuck in his own world of coloring, Kyungsoo glanced up at Yifan, sipping his water through the straw, "I'd like to apologize," he said, tone sincere and reserved, "For my behavior... um, back at the library... it wasn't exactly fair to you,"

Much to the little alpha's insistence, the three of them ended up at the cafe instead of just the two of them. It wasn't a bad idea, although he wasn't sure that the omega was too thrilled about it. Yifan made a mental note to learn how to resist children. He gave in much too easy. What was supposed to be a quick ice cream trip turned into an actual meal with the kid's teacher. Looking around the cafe, he realized how the omega made him so conscious of what other people were thinking. A woman was looking at them with a peculiar look. To others they might've looked like a couple taking a kid with them on a family outing or what was supposed to be a date.

"Do you have a kids' menu?" he asked the waiter, flipping through the few pages of his own menu. There were no meals for kids. The kid could eat a lot for his age, but still an adult's meal would be too much. The waiter was quick to get a kids' menu complete with three crayons a coloring page on the back. When Yifan was sure that the kid was taken care of, Yifan looked at the menu for himself. At the very least he was hungry so the disappointment of just going for ice cream was no longer there. He was enjoying himself quite easily now.

@Bae Suzy Bambam chuckled and quickly took off his headphones. "Here." He said. It wasn't much of a disguise so he handed her his pair of glasses that he kept in his bag and a mask.
He glanced at the guards seeing that they were coming closer to the shop. He knew what it felt like to be constantly watched over and protected, he was an omega and one of the youngest of his pack.

@Bae Suzy He covered his mouth, muffling his laugh at the others excitement. He nodded, answering her question silently.
"And if I may ask...What are you doing here?" He whispered.
He never thought a politicians daughter such as her would be allowed to go some place public like this alone.

@Bae Suzy He smiled, happy that someone else was familiar with his homeland. "I've only been there a few times since I've moved but I love it there." He said shyly.
He chuckled and answered quietly. "I'm 16." He remembered hearing alot about her but he never caught her age.

He smiled and chuckled. Almost everyone at first glance could tell he wasn't Korean.
"Its fine." He said reassuring her.
"And people usually call me Bambam, I'm Thai." He said with a smile. He pulled down his hood, deciding that he didn't want to be rude as well.
