Up early the next morning, Minjung arrived in Yeoui-do to follow a lead she had managed to weasel out of one of the Gold Dragon's henchmen the other night. Crossing the bridge into the city, the bright rays glistened off the teal blue water and breathed into the lifeless skyscrapers. Taking a sharp right off the highway ramp, she arrived out a local dive bar and parked a few blocks away.

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Soeun nervously walked to their decided place.The place was giving her the creeps.She always associated alleys with smugglers or e or drug addicts.Always something horrible.Her views was negative in a way.

She stopped and let herself relax at the sight of the male.Though they initially started off with intense dislike towards each other,now she didn't know what to consider their relationship as..friends? She wasn't sure but seeing him here helped push away the negative thoughts as the real reason surfaced.

"wow you are earlier..for once" she crossed her arms across her chest and watched the male doing his regular warm ups.Deciding to complete her own set,she uncrossed her arms and stretched out her arms.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun "As soon as possible... How bout tomorrow night?" With that the man turned at the punching bag, "And don't forget to prepare yourself, because I'm not gonna go easy on you," after saying so, he lifted his leg to start throwing round kicks at the heavy bag.

It was the night when he had set for them, for their real fight to happen. He had chosen an empty place where he knew was perfect for the fight, it was some kind of wide alleyway that was near the open streets of Yeoui Do.

He was the first to arrive. While waiting for her he decided to workout a little. He placed his fists on the ground for some rapid push-ups, His short breaths could be heard for every push he made, and for every ten push-ups he would stop, only to put one of his legs forward and stretched for a side splits.

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Taking his hint,she stopped throwing punches and kicks at the punching bag and nodded at his words.She wasn't familiar with the fighting in the streets thing but as he let a small information of his past life as a street fighter made known to her,she figured it was best to let the more experienced decide.

"alright.I guess I understand your point" Practicing with dummies weren't gonna help her much since they didn't move or dodge or hit her back.It would be difficult for her if she ever got into a life and death situation and not know how to deal with the attacks.

"when do you suggest we go for this fight?" she asked with a tilt of her head.She was both nervous and excited at the same time.The fight would let her know how much she had actually improved and how much pain she could handle.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun He couldn't help but chuckled at her reactions. He later released his leg and put it down, slightly shaking it a bit to relieve the muscles. "Not streetfighting, dummy. Just fighting on the streets," he approached her, with a naughty look on his face, "And we don't fight for money so it will be different," laughs soon filled his lips as he forced to differ the concept of streetfighting which he totally--obviously made up.

"Besides, I want you to fight for real, that's the best training method," walking closer to her, his hand rested on the punching bag, trying to hint her to stop her training and listen for a while. "Yes I do train everyday but it is real fight that had improved me."

"Honestly I was a street fighter before... Before i got into the police academy," he stopped, noticing that it might be not really necessary to let her know his past job, "..look, my point is, real fights are better practice than training with bags and dummies."

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Her fist stopped in mid air at the words that left the male's mouth.She blinked a few times letting the words sink in her brain as she dropped her hands to her sides."street fighting??"she asked unsure if she heard it right.

She rested her head against the punching bag while holding onto it to keep the support and turned to face the male.Was it even legal? She was itching to try on her new strikes to see if her training was good enough in real life situations.This was her big chance.

She hesitated a bit but the eagerness to prove herself overweighed and her head moved on its own as a nod."sounds cool.. I think I need to put my training into use."her voice sounded more determined than how she had felt moments earlier."but I will surely kill you if we get into any kinds of trouble.. keep that in your mind"she let go of the punching bag and aimed a well practiced roundhouse kick.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun "Enjoying yourself, huh?" He sounded, leaning to the wall as he watched her practicing her punches on the bag. He couldn't help but find himself liking the fact that she had improved much now. He had already saw her great talent in her speed, and now her endurance and stamina are getting better too. He felt..proud--even though he would never say it. Maybe this is how trainers and teachers feel when their students are positively developing.

Letting her enjoy the workout, he started doing stretchings of his own. Even though he was busy with himself, he let his eyes observe her and her movements.

He stood by the glassy wall, lifting one of his legs upwards making a 180degree side kick pose--a hand rested on the wall to keep his balance while the other one's holding on the lifted thigh, slightly pulling it to stretch his leg more. "Hey I've been thinking," he said, shifting his gaze from his lifting leg to her face, "We should try fighting for real on the streets sometime. You up for it?"

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Two weeks passed by quickly and So Eun felt a surge of pride course through her.Her stamina and endurance had climbed up a few levels so had her speed.Though she had to admit,she still had a long way to go.But she wasn't stopping.

She did her usual rounds of pushups and crunches,stretched to loosen up her muscles.A punching bag had been set up a week ago due to their constant begging to the chief.Now she used it whenever the male wasn't available due to his own cases that he needed to handle.

Standing in front of the punching bag,she figured it wouldn't be too bad if she practiced her punches till the male arrived.She formed her stance and mentally counted to three before pushing her fist forward and landed a punch.She continued it with different forms of punches and strikes.It was quite a stress reliever.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun "It's alright," he commented, as he walked towards where he left his bag earlier and snatched his bottled water out. He took a moment to gulp half of the contents up, slightly wiping his mouth after he did so, "You just need to get used to it... Training everyday will get you better."

When she flicked his forehead, he couldn't help but sound in protest, his fingers quickly rubbing on his head. And when she thanked him in the end, a genuine grin formed on his face, "Glad to help. And you won't, not after training with Jung Daehyun," he playfully said, widening his childish grin even more.

Hearing her remark, he couldn't help but chuckle lightly. "I don't know bout you but I do smell good," playfully saying so, some giggles left him as he slung his bag around his shoulder, attempting to get some shower at one of the PD's showerrooms.

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Soeun plopped down on the floor stretching out her legs and used her hands to support herself."wow dude... I so need more practice.. Its like I am starting all over again.."She wiped the sweat off her forehead and let a small grin of satisfaction escape and plaster her features.

Stretching her arms a little,she got up and flicked the male's forehead."don't call me that "her tone was laced with half hearted seriousness and had a playful edge.For the moment,she decided not to hate him."and thank you.. for agreeing to train me.I don't want to have any weak moments in the future"

"lets continue tomorrow..its time to get a shower since we both smell awful.."she made a face and shuddered.Letting her hair loose,she picked up her bag.A nice shower was very much appreciated.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun His short breaths could be heard as he tried to dodge all the attacks she gave--moving himself to the side, duck and bend a little to avoid getting hit. "Stronger! Faster!" The young male cop kept on motivating her with words, slightly feeling satisfied as her speed was going better. When one of her punches hit his chest, he couldn't help but moaned as he was forced to step backwards. "Great job, go on," he encouraged her, returning to his fighting stance to get her attacks.
Some of her next moves managed to hit him, and weirdly he didn't feel angry or boiled as he usually felt when his enemy managed to hit him. Maybe because this was different, he was teaching her, and it only made him proud when she got better.
As she gave him a back kick, Daehyun immediately caught her leg, and purposely pushed it upwards--attempting to stretch her leg a bit, "You've gotta practice on your kicks, I know you can do higher kicks," he said, before releasing her leg to let her continue her attacks.

Her elbow strike hit his abdomen a bit, and as he bent forward bearing with the small pain, he grinned at her, "You're getting better, Witchie,"

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Soeun allowed her body to relax at his answer and soaked in all every word he was saying.He was the trainer afteral and he knew better than her which was more than enough to make her listen to him.

With a nod,she got in her stance mentally reminding herself to only punch and kick and try to channel her anger to it instead of going haywire.She was never really good at managing her anger.

Taking a deep breath,she fisted her hands and proceeded to throw front and back punches punctuating it with side kicks,back kick,front and back hook punch followed by a front kick and back to front and back punches.She aimed a back spin kick quickly followed by a back hook punch and attempted an elbow strike.She was basically showering the male with punches and kicks and kicks and punches one after the other.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun When she finally let go of his arm, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit, especially when he heard her next words. "It's alrite," he groaned a bit as he flicked his dull arm, before turning to lay on his back upon the floor. He immediately pulled his legs over his head only to make a kip up--jumping back to standing position, "You just almost blew me on the face,"

"The key is to manipulate your anger... And project it into your fighting.." He said, placing an hand upon his hip. "One more thing. Earlier I tried to endure your attacks--but you have to really consider if your future opponent tries to fight back or dodges your attacks."

"Now let's try that one more time. But this time, try using kicks and punches only. Remember, Kicks and Punches only, no locking arm on the back." with that, he took a step away from her, forming a fighting stance, "This time I'll try to dodge you. Go ahead and use your anger."

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Soeun snapped back to senses at his words,her anger dissolving quicker than it came.With a start,she let go of his arms and backed a few steps away from him.Her anger had clouded her senses.

"oh damn,are you okay??"she asked feeling slightly,a teeny tiny bit of guilt bubble inside her."sorry I didn't mean to hit you so much but then you provoked me and though a small voice at the back of my mind kept telling me you were purposely making me angry,I kinda pushed aside that voice,more like shoved it somewhere in the deep corner and let my anger get the better of me.."she knew she was babbling whatever came to her mind and stopped herself taking a deep breath and looked at the male."what I mean is I am sorry..you weren't hurt,were you?"her voice was pretty low as compared to before when she was screeching at him.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun When she called him '', Daehyun's smirk reappeared on his face, already knowing that his attempt was going to be a success. He clenched his fists more, strengthening his stance as he expected her to kick him.

But when she threw a punch on his face instead, he was shocked, but luckily his reflex drove him to move his head a side--and her heavy punch went through. "Hey only one kick.." She was actually supposed to do only one kick and repeat it over and over, but seemed like anger had clouded her mind too much.
Her attacks landed on him, making him groan louder for every single hit she made. And it was with much more power than before. Maybe this is indeed the best training for her.

Forcing himself to endure the attacks, when her legs kicked him behind the knees he fell right on the knees, and soon he felt his arm being twisted--before a heavy knee pushed his back, forcing him to bend down with his free arm holding the floor.

"Wow..." He said, with an excited face, "You did beyond expectation... Anger does give you power does't it?"

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun The word 'witch' made her eyebrows twitch in annoyance.It wasn't quite enough to get her angry but the next words that came out of his mouth seemed to work like a fuel.No one dared to touch her.It disgusted her.No one messed her desk.She was a clean freak,sue her.

She clenched her fist knowing well enough that he was purposely making her mad but that in no way stopped her anger from spilling over. "you ! who do you think you are calling a goddamn WITCH??!! "she screeched and her fist raised forward to punch the male square on his face.It was not enough.Her arms and legs swung around successfully hitting the male.She lifted her legs and swung it against the back of his knees and with a swift movement caught hold of his left wrist and elbow and twisted it against his back,her right knee pushing against his back making him stay on the ground.
"take back those words you rotten brat" she hissed.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun The straight punch hit his abdomen, making him gasp a bit and he formed a small smile, "Go on," Her next attacks continuously hit him, and to be honest she really got the moves and she was not bad, but her unconfidence really got to go. Her high kick made him widen his eyes in interest, but soon he furrowed his eyebrows in distaste when suddenly stopped herself and said she wasn't good with offenses.

"You should never say that!" He stood, removing his stance, "We are fighters, offensive strikes are our greatest weapon," with that he stood on one leg and made a slow high kick above her head. "Now I know what your problem is, you're too tied with techniques,"
"Not that I said techniques are bad or useless, in fact techniques give you guidelines," he paused, smirking as suddenly an idea came to his mind, "But in real battle, you are needed to do whatever it takes to survive--even if you are meant to use a move you solely created. Now stop thinking too much about how to do the technique,/qnd change your mindset to...how to survive the battle"

"Now let's start with one kind of kick," Daehyun once again formed his stance, "I don't know what's the name in Karate because I'm Taekwondo oriented--but you can try kicking me on the side--like this," the male formed a round kick pretending to hit her, "Try to do that to me as much as you can......witch," he purposely mocked her, wanting to get her temper up to increase her power, "Remember last mission, remember I last touched you ain't that's inappropriate? Haha,"

"Last time I left a stack of paper on your table!"

"Remember I messed your desk!"

"Stronger! Get angry to me!!"

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun "well I trained in karate,aikido and jujitsu.. but I am kinda out of shape..its been too long.."Soeun answered copying his movements.The thought of admiting her weaknesses was really unnerving specially to the male towards whom she had a strange dislike.But it was far better than getting killed because of not being strong enough.

She went on to do her pushups and nodded"I did your homework and I will take your suggestion"

After she was done,she looked at him puzzled but it was soon replaced by a slight nervousness.How long had it been since someone watched her movements? five years.

Taking a deep breath,she got into her stance.Well here it goes whatever.She started off with a straight punch quickly followed by the side snap kick,an elbow strike and back kick.She used a back fist followed it with another elbow strike.She positioned herself to aim a high kick and successfully lifted up her foot with ease and stopped just before it made contact with the male and relaxed pulling it back."I am not good with offensive strikes.. "

@[Cop] Kim Soeun "Whoa you're early."
He was clad in his dark navy tank, and a pair of fitted, flexible cargo pants--his common fashion of working out. As he finally arrived, facing her, he started stretching himself a bit, starting from his neck to his arms. "What martial arts have you learned?" He questioned, as he started stretching his legs.
"You can do splits can you? It helps with high kicks," with that, he bent down and started spreading his legs on the floor into a side split--expecting her to do the same thing. His arms landed on the floor as he pushed himself, leaning flat upon his front leg.

After a moment of legs stretching, the male looked at her, "Did you do your 'homework'?" With that, he placed his arms down on the floor, his both legs staight behind him, getting ready for some push-ups. He looked at her, "Let's do ten first now." Daehyun started pushing himself down, beginning the push-ups, expecting her to do the same. His breaths could faintly be heard as his biceps flexed for every push he made. "Now on your fists, do another ten," he ordered, as his hands balled into fists on the ground, and soon he proceeded making ten more push-ups.
"Do that everyday, before sleep and after waking up. When it gets boring to you, make it twenty. And when it gets boring again, make it thirty. Do that over and over."

Now standing up before her, he placed a hand on his hips, "Too bad there's no punching bag in this gym..I should really suggest that to the PD chief.." Daehyun commented, before looking down at her hands, "But don't worry, you can use me," looking back up to her eyes, "On your stance." By saying so he made a stance himself, "I want to see how you move. Attack me. Now. I won't fight back."

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Soeun resisted the urge to glare at the male's back.It was getting rather childish.Shaking her head she decided it was time to head home.Satisfied with her clean desk,she exited the department making a mental note of the so called homework the male gave her.


It was already morning.She had completed the pushups,taken a shower,packed up the necessary clothes for training and was all ready to head to gym.First day of training.

She reached the gym fairly early and got changed,tied her hair up into a neat bun not wanting it to become a hassle at whatever training the male was going to put her through.Lastly she took her ring,her engagement ring with a small smile and let it slide through the chain and around her neck.She figured it wouldn't be too good to wear that.She stretched her arms and waited for the male to show up with a small amount of nervousness which she quickly shoved in some dark corners for the time being.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun "Well let's just train at the PD, on our break," he said, still with his eyes twinkling with excitement as he placee the stack of paper he's been holding since the beginning of their conversation. "But if you want an even more intensive training, we can also meet somewhere else out of our working hours. You know what they always said, the more the merrier."

"Tomorrow," he repeated her words, confirming the time they would be meeting for the first training. "Make sure you wear suitable clothes... Any kind of martial art pants would be fine,"

He took a moment to sling his bag around his shoulder, attempting to leave to the PD's gym, but soon stopped as something came to his mind. "Oh, and as my first homework for you, do ten pushups before sleep and after you wake up. See ya," his eyebrows playfully moved up and down, before he made his way out of the room.

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Soeun blinked a few times wondering if she heard him right.Was he really saying yes to training her?She thought it would take a little bit of begging,no actually she thought it would take A LOT of begging.He even looked eager"woah..that was easy.. you are not a sadist are you? "

She scratched her head before letting herself relax and smiled"uhh well thanks.. lets start tomorrow.Let me know when you will be free and I will meet you..."It was weird to not spit out insults at the male but it was better to keep shut if she wanted to train.It would do her no good if the male got pissed at her.

"alright..I will see you tomorrow I guess"she was still unsure but one look at her colleagues and it was enough to strengthen her resolution.She needed to get stronger physically.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun After the mission ended, he knew his job wasn't over yet. He still had to deal with the reports and stuffs, as the form of his responsibilities for things he found during the mission. And it really took him few days to finish it.
And today, he's finally able to breathe in relief since he just finished the last page of the report. Deciding to cheer him up, he attempted to get some workouts at the gym again today.

And now he was tyding his desk up, putting the papers into stacks in order to make them look neater before he leaves them later. While he was busy with another stack of paper, Soeun suddenly--out of nowhere--appeared before him.
That moment he looked up at her, his mind started recalling what he had done before. Did he put any papers on her desk? Did he leave his stuff on her desk again? Or was she here to confront him for touching his thigh--when he tried to get to the gun at her thigh holster?

"Train me."
"Huh?"

"Are you sure about this?" Daehyun questioned her, as he finally understood what she meant. It was weird for her to suddenly ask him to be her trainer, even though the idea sounded appealing to him. All this time he was addicted to his training, and maybe being the 'trainer' to train someone would bring new spark to his training days.
And other than that, he would be like his brother.

"Fine.. When do you want to start? Tomorrow?" He questioned, as a small smirk of eagerness appeared on his face, "And I warn you, I'm not going to go easy on you."

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun A couple of days had passed by after the incident at the club but it never left So Eun's mind even for a second.Even in her dreams it haunted her.She cursed herself for being weak and she felt disappointed and angry and upset.She couldn't feel any positive emotions for the last two days.

The drug was out of her system but the disappointed still latched onto her like a parasite eating away everything positive in her.She groaned and tossed the duvet off her.She had to go the PD today.Sulking all day was not going to do her anything good.Getting off her bed,she took a quick shower,got herself dressed and left her apartment after tying up her hair into a loose ponytail.Work might distract her.

Well she was never more wrong.Work did nothing to distract.Her being the almost-victim was the hottest buzz around the department.She could hear the whispers,her colleagues pointing at her and she could almost swear they were pitying her. this .

She got up having had enough of the stupidity and walked towards the desk of her mission partner."hey"she stood in front of his desk looking at anything but him.She rubbed her arms ,biting her lips,all signs that she was actually nervous."train me"there she said it but soon after felt like punching herself in the face.Never had she in her years of knowing the male thought she would be asking something from him.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun Just after he placed her down, he made sure she was im a comfortable position--and finally remembered that he had left his gun at the scene. He was about to return to take it, but he immediately stopped when he heard her whispering out his name.

Turning his face around, Daehyun moved closer trying to listen to whatever she was saying. "I'm fine, don't worry, now rest yourself, they would bring you back to PD soon," with that he moved away and close the car door, before proceeding to find his own gun at the scene.

Due to the information and investigation the rest of the cops had done, it turned out that these men were doing syndicate of illegal drugdealing--using e as the human distributors. They used large indestructible capsules with the drugs inside, and inserted them into the es' body. Recently, in order to expand their syndicate they needed more girls, so they started hunting ladies--drugging them weak so they would be easier for them to take--to be distributors. If only Soeun was alone at the scene, it could have been her who would become their next prey.

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun Everything was so damn loud or was it just her.Even with the hands clamped on her ears,she could hear the stupid noise.The whispers of the officers was so loud though she couldn't for the life of god understand what they were talking about.She did hear a few familiar voices.Was everything over?

So Eun unconsciously clutched the front of the male's shirt as she was carried.She was feeling dizzy and it made her feel as if she would fall down without holding onto something.As she was placed on the seat,she let go of her hold on his shirt and leaned against the back of the seat.She could barely hold onto her conscious.Was this how they took all the other women for their sickening selling business?It was effective,So Eun could attest to that.The men would have had no problem taking her away if her partner hadn't arrived.Thinking of partner.."Dae.."she called out barely above a whisper.She didn't even have the energy to call his full name."are..you..okay?"she asked,her each word punctuated by heaving breathing.Her mind was filled with blurry images of what happened earlier.It would take time for her mind to clear but the idea of her partner getting hurt because of her stupidity was something that even her hazy mind refused to accept.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun He didn't have the chance to help her when she was released, since he was keeping his gun up at the latter's face. Just before he sighed in relief that everything is over, he felt something rough pressing behind his head. From the sound of a man behind him, he knew that it was the tip of a handgun.
Daehyun had no choice but to drop his gun and lifted his arms. No matter how he much he wanted to fight back, he knew that trying to fight a guy with gun pointing at him would be idiotic.

But soon the situation turned, as he saw police force raiding the scene. The person behind him was forced to drop his gun as well, and soon the cops barged to capture him and the rest of the other men. As Daehyun gazed around, he also saw the person that offered him the drugs was handcuffed as well.

It turned out that one of the janitors at the club saw the fighting scene and immediately informed the police. The police department was aware of the sending of young Officrr Jung and Officer Kim at the same place, so they knew something must had gone wrong or the two cops need help. That's why they sent reinforcements.
...
Finally remembering his mission partner, Daehyun immediately crouched down to check what happened to her. It took a while for him to notice that she couldn't even get up, so with all his might he brought her up in his arms and carried her to one of the police cars. One of the officers opened the car's door, and there Daehyun carefully placed her on the back seat.

@[Cop] Jung Daehyun At what seemed like an order from the male cop and with the gun pointed at his head,the man holding the female let her go.The sudden release made So Eun drop on her knees,her legs failing to support her.Lifting her shaking hands she placed it on her ears not wanting to hear any sound.The sound was too much to bear,it was painful.It felt az if her ears would start to bleed.She hated it.She hated being weak and she was sure as hell she would hate herself when she got her senses back.She had failed herself as a cop.

She felt tears rolling down her cheeks at the unbearable pain and the fact that she couldn't see clearly was adding to her pain.She wasn't aware of her surroundings.

One of the man slowly got up from the ground where he had been thrown off by the male cop.His fingers circled around his gun and soundlessly pulled it out of his waist band.He was up in his feet in no time and successfully placed himself behind the male cop."better drop your gun if you don't want a bullet through your head"the man said menacingly pointed his gun against the back of his head.

The other man who was facing the male's gun sighed in relief but becore he could smirk in satisfaction,he found himself being surrounded by cops with their guns raised and aimed dangerously at them.The tables had turned.The hunter became the hunted.

@[Cop] Kim Soeun Helplessly he watched how his mission partner slowly lost her balance, as if her legs were becoming weak. He knew they must had put something into her, and he knew that it was starting to manipulate her. They had drugged her.
His thoughts vanished as he felt a rough kick hit his abdomens, loud pained groan left his plump lips as he stepped backwards and immediately blocked the next kick that was thrown to his face.

As more kicks were thrown at him, he tried his best to block them all, now focusing on the attacking opponent. In the end he stopped the latter's kick and immediately swatted the leg away with all of his might. And within the last second he dropped a rough side kick on the opponent's stomach, making him slightly bend forward. With a swift motion Daehyun immediately threw his feet upwards, kicking the other across the face. As the final blow he spun himself and dropped a harsh, jumping roundhouse kick onnthe face--making the latter slump onto the hard ground.
Returning to his fighting stance, his dark eyes stared down at his opponent, taking a moment to make sure whether he was weakened enough or not.

Soon, the young male cop ran towards where his partner was, already noticing that the guys were trying to drag her into the car. Even though she was annoying as heck, she was still his comrade in this mission and according to what his 'father' always said, protecting partners is always a must for a police officer.
One of them immediately turned around to face him as he went closer. But with a loud shout the male cop jumped, spinning himself in the air dropping a flying back kick right on the head. That rough attack fortunately, got the opponent down instantly. He later rushed to where the last man was holding his partner. Without anything said, Daehyun slipped his hand under the hem of her dress only to grab his gun out of her thigh holster. Not giving the latter a chance to move, he pointed the gun right on the person's head.
"Let her go."
