@✗ Kamenashi ((It's okay dear! We do deserve some holidays right! :3 and you didn't miss out so much… I'm slow for no reason at all lately -- also it's a long answer but it doesn't give you so much to say so no pressure on mirroring me ^^))

@✗ Kamenashi Taehyun noticed he had forgotten some traits of Kamenashi over their time apart. He remembered the face but a few details that were sweet to his eyes had been blurred or maybe wasn't he able to put his fingers on them before. Those were blurry spots he was now able to gaze at closely, failing to shut the other's silent need for answers. There was a kind of fear on the Halfblood’s face, an expectation to be disappointed, thrown over the balcony and straight into the bloody arena. If Taehyun entertained the idea, it was only for how swift and calculated his grip shall be to proceed to lift the grown Halfblood and send him tumbling down rather than to see /his/ rescue get so much as stained by the immoral dog fights taking place downstairs.
Still, the Fledgling offered a faint and short hum to his counterpart as an acknowledgement for his excuse. At least the kid was good mannered, a quality that ran rare in the bloodthirsty kind. Whenever he looked at Kamenashi, Taehyun was graced with reasons why he had made the right choice to keep him under his wing metaphorically.

He couldn't quite explain why he liked to see the faintest changes on the Halfblood's face. Maybe was it because Kamenashi was discreet and collected, even when he had been badly hurt, he stood strong and the cautious self-confidence was admirable. He watched as the glass of blood was emptied, his eyes catching on the tip of tongue that wiped the blood off the other’s lips. Taehyun nodded his head slightly to the other’s apology; he wouldn’t make a fuss about it, because he knew he could expect more from Kamenashi. Of course his assertive comment as to how he claimed he could get Kamenashi to do anything would provoke a revolt, and he was curious to see how the other would react, but no word was uttered this time. The place was sure wrong to be annoying a higher ranked vampire if you were a Halfblood. There wasn’t much Taehyun intended to have the younger vampire do, but it was sure empowering to say. They were both tools for the clan already, with more or less experience and that was about all that could be imposed to them and as far as Taehyun was concerned, it was more than they could take. He would only try to use the younger for little whims, until Kamenashi would fight him back too hard and it wouldn’t be so fun.

“That’s the right thing to think.” Taehyun commented to how positively the other considered being self-taught and stronger than the rest. “I knew you would know more than the rest of the half bloods in training, because you have no distraction.” He admitted. Those who trained endlessly were either obsessed with revenge or challenged to get to a better place and Kamenashi seemed to be of the latter option. His lips curled slowly as he heard many questions, one after the other and his answer was just a faint shrug, because the fight downstairs was generating too much noise as the crowd all around the arena shouted for one to end the other. It was the moment those vampires would lose sight with their calm, their pride and behave like excited beasts, climbing on the cage, ready to get the job done themselves if they could.
Taehyun winced, just about when he heard the other share his feelings about this place. The noise became white to the Fledgling’s ears and he stood up, leaving his seat and giving the other a head sign to move along. He had to climb down the stairs and make his way out quick, because he assumed the other would be more than disgusted to see what would happen by the end, how the winner of the fight would rip the other’s throat and leave it for thirsty fellow vampires to get a sip of the just killed and still convulsing body.

“I’ve been okay.” he said when he was out and heard the door close on the madness to come. He picked this moment to answer the questions. “I was here for a business as shady as all those things you saw, I guess, and I called you because I don’t know you and I wanted a drink.”
How insensitive, one would think. But Taehyun was the type to throw rocks with his eyes closed and see accidents happen. He had cut it short, because Kamenashi reacted the right way and because he hoped to know the other better.
“Why do you ask? You don’t like to be summoned don’t you?” he said and smirked. Taehyun himself wasn’t so high on the blood chain, and whenever he was whistled at by someone that wouldn’t be the one who had sired him, he’d growl to himself, grit his teeth and fake a smile.
“Since you don’t like this place, how about you take me to a place you like?” He had to start somewhere if he was to get to know the Halfblood. He was old enough to have seen places, yet he was craving for new sights on things. Rediscovering was his way out of an immortal’s misery.
“And on the way I can answer another bundle of questions if you have any…” he added with a smile, his chin lifted up to look at the starry sky.

@✚ Nam Taehyun // I apologize for the lateness T_T I wanted to make a good reply out of it but it got busy and... yeah. I can regularly reply from now on though ^^

As a Halfblood, Kame had inherited his vampire parents’ use of his senses, including smell. That meant that he had a predator’s nose, and that was what made it possible in various occasions to smell another’s emotion. Here, the air was mainly excitement, the sit-on-the-edge-of-your-chair kind, the straight focus on the fight happening below. A few were feigning disinterest or a focus on something else, but it was clear even they shot a glance down so now and then, seeing more than they appeared to. Kame guessed Taehyun was that kind of spectator, and the Halfblood stared straight at his former rescuer to see any signs on his features that yes, he was going to send Kame down there. He had trained – he could probably take most of the Halfbloods here, if not all. But that didn’t mean he wanted to. It was a vile thing, a dirty thing, a thing with no honor. Kame wasn’t a particularly honorable fellow, but he had his own code to follow, and this was… Madness. No matter what they agreed to before, if Taehyun would ask of him to fight, right here.. He didn’t know if he’d obey to that. He didn’t want to break a promise, but he didn’t want to hurt one of his own either.

“Sit.” Taehyun’s voice cut through the air, tone cold, clearly disappointed in his behavior. Kame obeyed, sitting next to him, keeping his profile low, not wanting to attract any more attention. Again the other spoke, and again Kame kept quiet, instead taking hold of the glass of.. A small smile tugged up his lips. Not bad, not bad at all. His eyes flashed to Taehyun. Maybe he hadn’t brought him here to fight? Maybe.. He had made a wrong assumption? Well, it wasn’t a weird assumption to make, seeing the situation. So no, he wouldn’t apologize for that, but what he could apologize for was the way he had addressed it. Maybe. Not able to resist the blood any longer, he drank it, feeling the substance strengthening him and leaving a sweet taste on his tongue. The younger his lips clean, then took a deep breath. He could only nod to the Fledgling’s statement about his learning. For now, he just listened, taking the other’s words as the advice they were meant to be.. And a small rebuke to his previous attitude. “I misjudged the situation,” he answered, setting his empty glass back on the table. “I apologize. I’ll try to keep your reputation in mind.” What did he mean by ‘not patient’? He’d shown more patience than Kame himself would have in that situation. His gaze travelled through the room, curious as he watched a couple of vampires interacting, their body language revealing more than the spoken words. However, Taehyun’s last words made Kame look at him again. ‘Whatever I will ask of you, you will do.’ Something flashed through his eyes; then Kame teared them away again, once more looking around the place. He ached to retort something to that. That it depended what it was, that he wasn’t his slave, that there were boundaries of what could be asked. But what did Taehyun even want from him? What was their relationship, at this point? He barely knew the vampire, only seen him twice. He didn’t particularly dislike him, but wasn’t sure if he was to be trusted yet. The Halfblood wanted to ask, but this place wasn’t fit for that, not fit for any discussion more heated if their opinions were to collide.

“Mm. The training is slow and I haven’t learned anything new yet. They’re following a standard route, starting at point A, when I’m far past that point already. But I’ve been training myself, and I’m sure I’ll learn more as time passes.” He smiled a little, trying to ease the atmosphere around them. “How have you been? It’s been a while. What brought you here? Why did you call me?” He looked at Taehyun. Handsome, even for a vampire. Kame truly had no idea what he was filling his time with, or what place he took within the vampires’ community. Of course, he could ask, but that too felt wrong, like poking into something that wasn’t his business. No. He would hear it from Taehyun himself, or not at all. “This place disgusts me,” Kame said, softly, eyes on the pit below. His jaws clenched together once more, a tinge of red anger flashing through his eyes. The match was almost over, one Halfblood visibly weakened, but the other one wasn’t making an end to it yet, and it was annoying.

@✗ Kamenashi Taehyun was a little disappointed in himself for picking Kamenashi’s scent only after he saw him; his senses were all so distracted by the feral tawny smell this place was filled with he let himself be surprised to see the Halfblood. Just from this distance however, the fledgling could see that Kamenashi had gained in strength. Not only did he look healthy but he looked somewhat stronger, or maybe was it all in his head, thankful to see the Halfblood he secretly considered as his responsibility.
He could not miss the trembling fist, the clenched jaw and in fact, Taehyun didn’t budge when the tempest hit him. There was nothing more revolting than to be greeted by accusations spat wrongly by a /lower rank/, but luckily he saw Kamenashi differently and considering how distantly amused he was by the stupid -and deadly- fights, he did not even try to shut the other’s temper down. He had a leg crossed over the other, his fingertips stroking the glass of blood before him and he was looking up to the other, expectantly as cold assumptions were thrown his way and left unanswered. Kamenashi deserved to know more about him before he’d get scolded for accusing him that way, and that was how Taehyun kept the most unnerving calm in this situation that had other Fledglings and Pureblood look at him expectantly. This was the kind of demonstration that challenged a high rank to just proceed and give the chatterbox a well deserved punishment, down in the ring. Taehyun even wondered if Kamenashi had any idea he wasn’t making it any easier for him to be the one vampire who wouldn’t put /his/ Halfblood into the ring. He’d look like a really soft vampire tonight, all because the other could not shut it.

The Fledgling inhaled and sighed deeply in self containment when he saw Kamenashi get down from his horses and speak more politely.
“Sit.”
The order was quiet but cold, his eyes piercing the other for the scene. Taehyun could hated to feel forced to do something, especially when he had no intention to do such a thing. And what he made a point to do with his Sire was what he expected from Kamenashi, which was to never bring shame to his senior. Taehyun’s eyes were all over the table as he was disappointed in the other’s behavior but /had/ to keep to himself as he still didn’t want to make a show of his thoughts and belief in that place.
“Don’t you open that mouth before you finish your glass.”
It wouldn’t be so long, as the blood of a three year old was hard to resist, but maybe would it help Kamenashi realize he had clearly mistaken his intention. The mere smell of the blood was a sin, any vampire could /feel/ it, the madness for more, the sour flavor that it left in the mouth, maybe /that/ would help the other shut it.

Taehyun rolled his eyes and finally resolved to watching a bit of the violent match going on downstairs. There was certainly no better training than this one, but it was a little too risky, and it could destruct the sane mind of a vampire. Experience through fear was what he wanted to spare Kamenashi, no matter how undeserving the other was.
“You’re quite the loner I hear. But you’re curious and you learn fast.”
He spoke calmly, and was soon able to look at Kamenashi again while both ignoring the surrounding noise and the looks from fellow vampires waiting for him to make a scene; they would be more disappointed than he was, that was for sure. He wouldn’t hide that he kept a close watch on the Halfblood even if he wouldn’t do the spying himself, even if he kept his distances; Taehyun wanted to make it clear that he took the matter very seriously.
“Keep doing what you’re doing.” He encouraged and took a sip of the blood in his glass, very maturely dipping his lips in the thick and pure crimson before his own lips, keeping the excessively red taint nonetheless.
“Kamenashi, you are not to make a show of whatever you think or believe in, ever. I am far from patient and I’d like to keep that reputation. Also, with me or with the clan, you are to be discreet. That’s key to being underestimated and forgotten, surprise will be your best ally until you know damn well you’re stronger than everyone around you.”
Those were advices rather than threats, soft mutters he left to the younger vampire’s discretion as the day’s lesson.
“Whatever I will ask of you you will do.” His look was icy, ready to cut as sharp as he’d need if the Halfblood intended to bring more attention to his privileged condition.
And yet, past the other’s glass of blood, he’d be free to talk again, or do anything at all. Taehyun left him quite some space and freedom after all; he had his own businesses to attend.
“How do you feel lately? Do you have fun training or is it just mandatory to your survival?” he asked, back at the other’s routine. Taehyun was twisting a dark bang of his around his finger, his eyes scrutinizing the face of the vampire before him after his first scold.

@✚ Nam Taehyun Nothing was going well.

This wasn't an exaggeration; nor was Kame one to let one event influence his opinion on his whole daily life. It was a combination of events that irked the halfblood vampire to no end. He had expected that, once he came here, everything would move fast - and so he had come relatively late, and prepared. However, everything was going so incredibly -slow-. His training so far consisted of nothing more than what he had already trained by himself, although his tutors didn't believe that and insisted on starting out at the very beginning. Absolutely no one had looked at him with a gaze that had something of curiosity in them. The Halfblood ached to be different, to be better than the rest, to be.. worth it.

As time moved on and nothing seemed to change, Kame started focussing on something else. Being a Halfblood meant he had human blood, too, and this must have certain advantages that full blooded vampires wouldn't have. Eventually he found out that he was able to handle quite some weapons vampire hunters were using. By stealing, spying and later on bribing, he had gotten his hands on a certain glove, which covered the back of his hand and his knuckles. One press on a certain spot and knifes would come out on his knuckles. It was impressive, and he had paid dearly for the custom made item. He was sure it'd make him stronger in the upcoming fights, and was busy preparing more of these little.. surprises.

Kame was outside, training his skills with his new set of gloves, when a donor came to him. Quickly the Haflblood retreated the claws, turning to him with a small smile, head slightly tilted in curiosity. "What brings you here?" he asked, eyes sharply focused on the lowly human. "Taehyun is asking for you," the boy replied with a bow, just in time to miss the slight widening of the vampire's eyes. Taehyun? Damn - he had almost forgotten about their little pact. Caused by the Fledgling saving his life. Kame nodded. "Thanks for telling me. I'll go. But first..." He didn't know what Taehyun would demand of him, but he sure wasn't going there without drinking first.

A little bit later and with the donor's instructions where to find Taehyun, Kame hurried off. It was a bar that the Halfblood had heard of, but never been into. The stories where enough, though. Like humans of this age would use dogs or roosters to fight against each other... Like Romans would have had gladiators or slave fighting for their lives... The same game was an underground sport of several vampires. It was no wonder Kame's expression was dark as he entered the place, sparing the 'arena' no second glance and instead made his way over to the corner he was told Taehyun would be. The atmosphere was oppressive, the air filled with screams and bets and curses. Kame gritted his teeth, fists slightly trembling with anger. They were insane. The Halfbloods were used like beasts, like slaves, like a sport. In return, Kame wanted to fight - but not against another unfortunate Halfblood, but against every single vampire who thought this was fun. His dark eyes fell on Taehyun - from his spot still a shadow, but the figure was unmistakably him, even a bit of his scent coming into his senses. Kame took a deep breath, calming himself, then made his way over to the one who had previously saved his life. Ever since he came in almost every head had turned into his direction at least once; probably there weren't many Halfbloods here -outside- of the ring. Damned be it all.

"So this is your way of seeking entertainment," he couldn't help but sneer once he was close enough, the disapproval obvious in his tone. Taehyun was seated on a table, the balcony offering a clear view of what was going on beneath them, even though the younger refused to look. He didn't need to see it to know what was happening there. "You going to force me to fight? Saved my life once, so now it's yours to gamble with?" he asked. There wasn't even a hint of amusement in his voice or expression. He just stood there, tense, staring straight at the Fledgling in front of him; using the disadvantage of his position to literally look down on him. He didn't want to treat Taehyun like this - after all, the other had genuinely helped him back then, but he hadn't expected to find him in a place like this. To be summoned to a place like this. Was Taehyun really going to have him fight? Finally he bowed his head in a more respectful greeting, visibly less on the edge than before. "I'm here, as you called for me. It's been a while."

@✗ Kamenashi The Halfboods were truly some of the most incredible creatures in the world. They had a kind of power that fascinated Taehyun. He rested his back against a pillar, leaving the gambling and the cheers to the Purebloods and Fledglings before him. They had Halfblood fight for fun and bets; a pure waste of strength. Actually a Halfblood’s strength was way different from a Pureblood’s or a Fledgling for how strong and fast they could be only just for a short time before they’d need to feed, a lot. They were very much similar to humans for it, or comparable to a car that would burn a lot of fuel for speeding up too quick. The art of war taught vampires to send the Halfblood first for this reason; they were the first sacrifice for assaulting and disarming the enemy in record times, leading the fledglings to endure, use and bore the enemies before the Pureblood could either finish the job or be the last to stand.
Historically, Halfbloods were expendables, especially in times of peace like these; Halbloods were to be exploited; if not protected in a clan or by a powerful vampire, they were to end up as toy for Pureblood’s amusement.

Taehyun watched for the spectacle, but he was only there because this underground bar was the ideal place to find both /immoral blood/ and unreachable contractors. By the time Taehyun's official and secret business was done, he had finished the glass of a very young human, that was sure. Now he wasn't sure one should claim it was the blood of a new born; he knew the taste, he could not be fooled so easily but he would not make a mess in this establishment. Especially now that he was dropping by every time he heard of a Halfblood fight. He was still watching from a cautious distance but one could tell he was interested in those fights. It was no surprise to the Donors working in this Bar to receive a direct order from Taehyun, requesting the presence of a Halfblood going by the name of Kamenashi. One of the donor threw his apron away so quick Taehyun did not even get to give hints as to where he supposed the Halfblood could be found. Donors loved the responsibility, simply because it consisted of bringing fresh meet for the ring; or at least it was what this looked like.

A couple weeks had passed since he had watched Kamenashi run away to -what he considered as- the halfblood’s second chance at life. Despite his intention to request the younger vampire’s presence whenever he’d want, Taehyun had not thought so much of it, and truth was, though he wanted to train Kamenashi himself, the job would take too much of his time. So he did let the usual training team of the clan do its work with Kamenashi and he didn’t check on it. Now he suddenly wished to have the Halfblood here, mostly because he had seen others of his kind, fighting to death to even prove their right to live. Taehyun did not even doubt the Bar would easily let Kamenashi in, in fact they’d welcome him, and they’d want to offer Taehyun all his drinks for bringing /his/ halfblood to the ring. The fledgling’s intention was actually way different from that, but as usual, no one could know.
He settled at a table upstairs at a balcony, providing a good view but preventing him from placing any bets and ordered some very illegal blood, to say the least. Two glass of it, waiting for his guest to be brought.

[[you may decide if Kame’s led to Taehyun, if he’s aware of the fights going down in this bar, if he thinks Taehyun will have him fight later, if he’s taken to fight right away (Taehyun wouldn’t let him in a fight though)]]

@✚ Nam Taehyun Interest in the world. Kame didn't really know if that was something he possessed - that kind of curiosity for things around him. Well, of course he was interested in topics that touched his own being; but matters of society, no matter vampire or human, just didn't matter much to him. But the questions they both were referring to weren't questions 'of the world'. They were questions about him. A halfblood, a child from a vampire and a human. It was a personal curiosity, and this was one Kame did share. He was curious about others; he wanted to learn more, experience more, while never forgetting his initial goal. For now, he enjoyed their conversation, his thirst being satisfied. He enjoyed their closeness, Taehyun's proximity, the smell of a Fledgling. Once human, now fully vampire, and because of that a step ahead strength-wise. That didn't mean Kame would give up training. He would get stronger, use his personal skills to their max in order to overpower any Fledgling and maybe some Purebloods. He would show them he wasn't to be taken lightly, wasn't to be underestimated and deserved their respect.

Kamenashi tilted his head, catching the bit of amusement in the other's eyes. On his part, he wasn't able to hide the surprise flashing through his own. Just owe him that? He... wanted more? He blinked, astonished still. "I owe you," he repeated, though the sentence being a mix between a statement and a question, tone-wise too. Luckily, Taehyun explained what he meant. He knew the other saved his life back there, so it would be fair to owe him more than just answers, he guessed. But... Kame listened, the smile long gone, jaws clenching together when Taehyun said each day onwards is a bonus 'graciously offered' by him. Basically, he could lead his life, except he had to come to Taehyun whenever he wanted. Kame didn't like it. He didn't like any of it; the other was completely setting up the rules by himself, not even defining for how long this construction would take part. He could use this argument on literally anything that he wanted. Kame had come here to prove himself, not to become a Fledgling's slave, 24/7 on duty. "I didn't have any plans in particular; I just assumed I wouldn't see you for a while," he neutrally answered, not touching the more sensitive topic. He didn't know what to say to it. He didn't want to - but then again, it /was/ true that he kind of owed him. In the end, he kept quiet. He didn't know how this would turn out; maybe this wouldn't be too bad, just a reason to see Taehyun so now and then and he wasn't against that. And if not, he could always discuss it then. Especially if this would cause friction between the trainer Key would assign to him and his duties to him. "I'll come," he eventually answered, not knowing what to think of any of this. Vaguely he shook his head, shaking the worrying thoughts away and stretched, slightly grinning. "I'll try and find one of those donors you spoke of, then. And find myself a shirt. See you next time." At that he bowed his head, waited for a moment and then ran away. The night air swooshed along his ears, Kame taking a few deep breaths, glad he was able to run like this again. He would go for some blood first, and get a bath after; the wound was only slightly hurting now, and not bleeding anymore, so as soon as he cleaned himself up he was sure he wouldn't attract the attention of other vampires.

(I'm assuming we'll continue at a point Taehyun calls for him? Do you need help plotting that, or not?)

@✗ Kamenashi Blood dripping on a vampire's skin had a sound, it even had a peculiar smell. Something in between a bothing smell of spoiled fruit and the irresistible perfume of a forbidden blood, like one of a human baby. It was white noise, static in Taehyun's ear to just /smell/ it drip off the Halfblood's hasty lips to his chin. He was only glad -if not plainly unlucky- he had walked to the other's back. He could hear and smell, but he wouldn't see and fail to resist the urge to the other's skin. That kind of behavior was frowned upon in the Clan if not perpetrated by a Pureblood, but Taehyun had some nerve and he did enjoy the occasional dramatic gasps let out because of his indecent actions.

Now the Halfblood had a very different tone, more playful than pissed out and it did not bother Taehyun. He was indeed curious and everyone criticized him for it; he still did not care to pay attention to what people think; as long as he wouldn't get madly scolded by his Sire for it. "I might be old but I still find interest in the world if that's what you're asking about..." he commented, deturning the topic: his point was to be curious about everything, which was right, though in this moment, he was particularly curious about just Kamenashi. He needed to know all about him to keep his upper hand with the Halfblood. He felt the other's head rest against his shoulder but the Headrest joke did not yet strike him. The Fledgling was way too distracted by the mere closeness, the weight of this undead's head he had chosen to save weighing on him, filling him with the kind of responsibility he suddenly wanted. He turned his head to inhale the tiniest fragrance his disworking nose would pick of the Halfblood, secretly shrugging away any responsibility in abandoning the other: clearly half the clan could be the culprit. He decided it wasn't so farfetch to consider he was not. The only troubling point was that he happened to know some japanese for spending considerable time there, he had indirectly mentioned it earlier with the other's name joke but that was still very far fetch. He registered the younger's motives, his nose brushing the other's hair lightly, discreetly enough to not touch the skin. In those moments, it was great to have no pulse and no need to breathe. Still he couldn't tell for sure if the other would feel nothing, and he wouldn't mind being outed.

Taehyun watched the other turn and smile so shamefully deliciously although missing a few ounces of blood to be fully healthy.
"Actually I now have a rhetorical question to let out," he started, holding his biceps, looking calm and faintly amused by his counterpart. "Do you really think you /just/ owe me whatever answers I wish for?" That is the moment when he flashed his smile in return, deprived from his fangs however. Those never shown for nothing. "That's some cruel slow thinking, Kame. You owe me; period." He gave no precision in time, manners or space because none stood. He was the savior and thus, he decided of the rules. While he would normally not accept to get a reason to worry and be slowed down, he had decided Kamenashi would spend some time with him, until he'd be tired of it, until he wouldn't find any attraction in the other's blood smell, until he'd be sick of the impolite manners of the younger vampire maybe.
"You grew up in Japan, I could not tell you better about allegiance than you already know I suppose. Your training starts now. You might get to train with other vampires, but the rest of the time, you will be with me whenever I want and I don't respond well to not getting what I want."
He spoke rather calmly, enunciating what he considered important, until he smiled a little, holding the bloodstained shirt in his back.
"Besides, what do you mean by /now's the time to ask/? Did you have plans past the moment you'd get killed by hunters? Each day from this day on is a bonus graciously offered by me, try to remember that. That being said you may go freely, just remember tocome quickly if I call."
He did not precise how he'd call, how he'd reach the other and they didn't share any bond for it, but Taehyun had servants he could send, messages he could deliver. "If you have a question, you may ask as well. I will be returning to the Manor."
He said and started walking in that direction already, the shirt in a ball, in his back.

@✚ Nam Taehyun Their was a struggle. It wasn't that clearly visible, but it showed in the hesitation, that flicker of light in the dark orbs that told the younger that there was more to this Fledgling than he let on. Of course there was. He was a being of hundreds of years old; by that time, it only make sense one had a story to tell. However, the halfblood couldn't quite figure out what it was about the other that was intriguing him. Maybe because he seemed to have the other's full attention as well, which was a good thing, since Kame absolutely hated being ignored or looked down upon. Taehyun.. Wasn't exactly looking down at him, although he seemed smug and content with being in control of the situation, being in control over his blood supply. "Sure." Kame should feel relief at that word, but even then, his patience was tested as he still couldn't drink. The halfblood's lip tugged up into a quiet hiss, not minding the fact that Taehyun stood so close except it withheld him from actually consuming the blood that was in his hand now. It didn't even take seconds, probably, but time was experienced different for a vampire; they lived for centuries, but at the same time were able to move so much quicker than humans that time was a laughable thing. Now it felt like Taehyun was wasting hours on giving that damned bottle, and the blood was all the halfblood could think about, no free space in his mind for any other thought.

Finally he could. Without wasting another breath Kame uncapped the bottle and brought it to his lips, swallowing down the whole bottle in one go, bit by bit. He was trembling again, but now because of a whole other reason; his body was recharging with energy and power, filling with life and strength the more he drank. It was sweet blood, gorgeous blood, and the halfblood made a mental note to thank the older vampire later. It was clean, so clean, and fresh, and sweet, and... In his haste, a few drops spilled down onto his chin, but not much, and by now Kame's head was clear enough to actually listen to the other's questions. He didn't think about the answers just yet, just remembered the words. Too soon, the bottle was empty, Kame trying to get the last drops out of that bottle, more so for the taste than anything else. He would need more soon, not fully satisfied yet, but for now this was more than fine. He slightly smirked, tongue cleaning the last remains of blood around his lips, eyes searching for Taehyun's - only to find out the other moved to his back. A quiet chuckle and a slightly tilted head followed, now able to see the Fledgling from the corner of his eyes. "You're curious, aren't you?" he asked, amusement clear in his voice. "I suppose I owe you whatever answers you wish for, though." Energy was flowing through his veins again, his senses working properly again, only now able to smell the subtle fragrances of the night air and the vampire close to him, with a vague scent of dried blood. Hadn't he buried the shirt? Huh. Weird. As he started to speak, Kame rested his head back against the other's shoulder, the other not being called Headrest for nothing. Then he spoke, his voice clear and to the point. "I don't know him - I don't know any of my parents. As soon as my mother found out that I was an abomination she left me to die and I have no memory left of them. I still want to find out more about my parentage, though, to make them pay for what they did. I've went to Key and met a few Purebloods within the mansion when going to him, but I don't know their names. I want to be a part of the Clan. However, that was just a few nights ago, and I've yet to know the details about my joining. I've grown up in Japan, but moved here after having heard of Key and the power he had. I'm seeking to become an accepted member and a stronger vampire; I seek to kill the low beings that dare to try and touch a vampire." His voice was flat, like a recited story, but it was all the truth. Lying wouldn't help him now, mostly because he had no reason to lie. He wasn't here to keep his goal a secret, didn't like clandestine methods and rather faced his opponent head on. It was probably the only part of him that could be called honorable, because for all the rest he didn't quite care about society's opinion on right or wrong. It just wasn't important what others thought.

"Have any more questions, Sir Headrest?" Kame asked, a teasing tone back into his voice as he turned around, fangs showing as he smiled at Taehyun. The other looked different now he had his fill; his features were sharper now, but his eyes still well-guarded. Kame could try to guess, but really had no idea what was going on in the other's mind. Still he met those dark orbs, slightly tilting his head. "Now's the time to ask."

@✗ Kamenashi Taehyun had just forgotten, /just/ forgotten that the Halfblood was nearly dying of thirst. Things had been going so well, accordingly to his expectation that he did get carried away easily, taunting Kamenashi with goals of revenge and strength, agitating nonchalantly the one thing the other needed the most in the world this moment: blood, a bottle full of it. When Taehyun’s attention was snapped back at this bottle, his eyelids lifted back up to the vampire’s face /painfully/ slowly with the beginning of a smile that could as well hint on how much he’d loved to be begged. He who’d get on his knees without any hesitation for his Sire, he who had no pity for humans begging for their dear life: he was thrilled to hear the other ask him, ask him again, get impatient about it yet still so soft.
He let the other’s pleading linger in the air, his lips parting ever so slightly and gave a faint nod in answer, not yet moving. The fight going on in his head at this moment was worth a peplum, one army of gladiators defending common sense to feed the very deserving Halfblood, against beasts and mercenaries from the south, from his south, underbelt-south, wanting no more than to toy with the other’s need since Taehyun was in power here.
“Sure.” And answer so aerial and seemingly easy for the great defeat inside of him. ‘Some other time maybe…’

He reeled this moment in his memory: the red eyes, the needy trembling hand, the intense and almost indecent stare. Was it the first time Kamenashi dared watching him that way? Because it gave Taehyun a serious vibe of /don’t mess with him/ despite how young this vampire was compared to him.
Taehyun suddenly made a quick move to give the bottle, standing again way inside the other’s personal space. The Halfblood certainly had no idea he had waved goodbye to it the moment he was shot, letting Taehyun know about his scent. And even now, when Taehyun tried to ignore the bloody shirt in his hand, he was taking in the Halfblood’s peculiar scent, leaving him no space to even feed now. This did not mean for the Fledgling to let the other breathe some, or get any silence.

“Feed, feed now. But do remember my following questions, and answer me when you’re done.”
A pause, watching the other some, not just to see him drink but to look at the way his eyes were red, wondering how long it would take them to shift back to their previous hazel hue, it they could with just a bottle of /good/ and thick human blood. His dripping hair after the effort he had to make to even be standing out of the cave now. His slim chest, shamelessly bare yet sadly bruised by life already.
“The vampire parent of yours, do you know him? Do you know him well?” He kicked into any tactful approach to simply get to the point. He knew how it was to sleep with a human, again and again and suddenly leave that one before learning an unfortunate birth was to be expected. Truth was, Taehyun himself prayed that he did not have some halfblood progeny somewhere, pissed with him to no end for not giving his flings proper respect or care.
“Did you contact any Pureblood in town and if yes who?”
It would be very presumptuous to try steal a higher rank’s toy; so he had to define the limits from the start and possibly /ground/ Kamenashi to just him, exclusivity would make his presence more important for the other.
“Finally Kame, where did you grow up, and what did you seek coming to this town?”
Now Taehyun stood in the other’s back, his nose gently tickled by the other’s hair. He closed his eyes and waited for the other’s answers, hoping they’d give him free way and full power to mold this vampire; he wanted this very much.

@✚ Nam Taehyun Give blood out of compassion... Or for something they believe is love. Somewhere through the haze those words settled into the young vampire's mind just fine, being the seeds of new ideas. To be honest, Kame had always enjoyed playing with his food. Most like a cat playing with a mouse he caught; he would get closer to his victim, talk to him or her, seducing when he felt like it, sometimes just being a listening ear. It was the moment faith turned into horror that he loved the most; the moment that the look into their eyes changed a 180 degrees. It was always gradually - most of the times, there would be a few moments of disbelief, of not /wanting/ to believe what was happening right before their eyes. Maybe they were telling themselves it was a dream, that this couldn't be true, that this couldn't be happening to them. But it was reality, and Kame would be only too glad to show them that.

His eyes flashed to Taehyun as he called him little turtle, a scoff escaping his lips. Turtle, huh. He got where the other got the reference from - it was in his name - but it surprised him a vampire of Korean origin knew that .Besides, he disliked the characteristic treat of the turtle. The slowness. Moving at such speed that any other species would get impatient. No. It wasn't something he wanted to be compared to. But, somehow... There wasn't malice in the other's voice. The nickname wasn't meant to taunt him, and so the young vampire decided to ignore it. He was panting, leaning against the wall for stability after he finished taking off his shirt. Taehyun was smiling at him. Kame just grumpily looked back, still not amused by the assignment, although.. He /did/ make it. That was a good thing, right? It had to be. He curtly nodded, a small smirk tugging up his lips again. "Be quick, Sir Headrest."

Then he was alone. With a sigh he lowered himself onto the ground again, back leaning against the wall and looking to the night sky. It was gorgeous, just as usual. Kame loved the night, the stillness of it, and the sky that seemed like an unrealistic painting. He loved the stars. There were so far away, yet so close, always there, shining, shimmering. His mind trailed off to what happened tonight, from his failed hunt to Taehyun's rescue, to what he's just been going through. At that thought he flinched, softly touching the wound. It was closed more already, but it would take a long time to properly heal if he didn't get any blood soon. Which brought him back to Taehyun. Was the fledgling to be trusted? Was he even going to come back?

The halfblood had barely finished that thought before he felt a presence coming closer, and within another heartbeat the fledgling stood in front of him again. Immediately his eyes flashed to the bottle in the other's hand, slowly his lips at the sight of it. The bottle was closed too well to be able to smell its contents, but it was clear. "It's close to perfect," he replied, eyes still fixed on the blood. He was staring, only focused on the bottle in the other's hands... but still so far away, as the fledgling didn't make a move to actually hand it over. Instead, the guy kept on talking. A-gain. He really needed to get his priorities straight here. "You would?" he asked, raising an eyebrow in amusement. "Hey. I like the plan and all, sounds absolutely great, but let me drink first," Kame said as he reached out his hand, red, bloodthirsty eyes locking with the other. "I have no desire to kill you, but I will think about your suggestion. Now, if you would..." His hand shook a little, urging the vampire to move. His whole body was aching now, craving the food that was so close, yet so far. The mere presence made his senses go into overdrive, all fixed on acquiring that one goal. More than being bloodthirsty, he wanted to become stronger - he hated to be depending on anybody, and he had depended on Taehyun's help for far too much already. He was disgusted by his weak self, loathing weakness in general. Thus he wanted this to be over as soon as possible. "..... Please?"

@✗ Kamenashi Taehyun was so used to the offensed looks he get whenever he was being indecent, suggesting the unspeakable to fellow vampires, that this Halfblood's smile disabled him for a few seconds. The Fledgling huffed faintly and smiled contently as well, supposing he might be able to relate with this new acquaintance.
He fed him a lot of information, all Kamenashi would need to understand the ways of the Clan, but only a few points seems to retain his attention. Taehyun wouldn't blame the other: he was aware of how it felt to be so hungry he'd be dizzy, so weak the only sound a flie would make while rubbing its face could make his head explode. He wondered how long it would take for the Halfblood to try to jump him. He loved to toy with weakened beings and humans were almost uninteresting next to vampires like this struggling Kamenashi.
"Well... Humans are aware of our existence, but they're so formated into believing we're just bloodthirsty beasts they seem to forget we can play sometimes. They're so weak, they'd give blood out of compassion, or in exchange for something they believe is love..." Taehyun did look fascinated although his imlications were straight up wicked.

It would only get harder to walk and they were still far from the end. Still he did not feel like offering help, especially after being named Headrest. "Well if you call me Sir, I'll close the eyes on the Headrest part. You're not getting the chance to rest your Head on me anymore in your life though." He grinned, deciding on a punishment that wouldn't be so hard on the other. He liked the teasing spirit of this agonizing vampire; he waited for him without even a trace of annoyance. Surely would no one from the clan come and look for this halfblood, but he had enough respect for his fighting spirit to care. There was hesitation and very well thought out slow motions to try, strive for success from the pain struck Halfblood and thus, silent admiration on the Fledgling part. The fall did not make him smile, nor did it make him sad; it was bound to happen for all Taehyun knew of their strength but learning about Halfblood was a rare occasion. "They say Halfbloods need even more blood than us... and they get weaker easily. But is it true that you can taste?" It was something he missed, and a trivial fact he was more than interested in, though this was not the right time.

He heard the other take it out on him, and it only convinced Taehyun that Kamenashi could do it. "I know, little turtle, I know." He commented, eyes shifting to look at the path leading out. He found the little pun on the other's name fit just perfectly to how slow progress was made but at least, progress was made; he didn't mind the misplaced hatred at all. The Halfblood would get so much stronger with such effort without blood than with months of training in perfect conditions. They reached the outside and now Taehyun smiled at the other, pride obvious in his look but he wouldn't speak of it. It was his time to honor the deal, although he paused, looking at the other remove his own shirt to get rid of his own blood smell. "I didn't ask for so much..." he commented and took the blood stained shirt from the Halfblood. "I'll be right back with a donor. I'm holding onto this to be sure some pureblood won't sniff you out just now."

He ran fast, out of the forest and in town. He did not seek some tired donor Kamenashi would certainly kill in the process but borrowed a bottle of blood from the bar, one he liked very much. It was a kind of blood taken from humans would give only one time per month, healthy blood as he liked to call. Rare, expensive, and actually feeding the thirsty. While a glass would be enough for him, he brought the full bottle in speed light for Kamenashi to finish.
"Here, Grand Cru under the moonlight, I mean can your life get any more perfect?" Sarcarm, or too soon for it, Taehyun didn't mind. Still holding on the shirt. It would have to be burnt to avoid the curiosity of other vampires, but Taehyun was a little bit reluctant already. He did have a safe place to hide the things he couldn't quite explain why he needed to hold onto but did anyway and this shirt was maybe one of those objects.
"It's just a bottle, you've been nearly drained, so I suggest you find some donors on their feet and take a little here and there. They won't be as good as that, but you will make it through the night, Kame. With your shirt off, you may even get a human to give for free... I would." he admitted and shrugged; but he was all good for now. "You should let me train you. You'd get bored with the others, and you hate me already so... Train to maybe kill me one day when you get stronger." he chuckled, clearly not believing his own words, yet hoping they would seduce the other into accepting.

@✚ Kikuchi Fuma It was.. almost funny. Almost laughable. The other vampire so easily agreed to be liking his blood, and it was that blunt honesty that brought a small smile upon the younger's lips. He would probably would've done the same, would've said the same - and it that sense, they were just so.. alike. It was so wrong, to like another vampire's blood - especially a half-blood's, Kame guessed, but couldn't really form an opinion on that matter. "Well, there's enough spilled," he replied, voice even as he looked down at his shirt, or rather, the remains of his shirt. The fuzzy mention of a bath popped up in his mind, knowing vaguely he should clean up before he'd attract too much attention of vampires, not wanting any more visits tonight. This was already so much more than he planned to deal with. Even though being easily able to socialize - usually -, the half-blood had been a loner before, only depending on himself and able to make his own choices. To choose his own destiny. However, as soon as he'd made the decision to try and enter the clan, everything had changed so fast. Now, he even had someone that was close to lecturing him on the ways of the world. How ironic. How... funny.

The older continued speaking. And speaking. And... Gosh, that guy seriously didn't know how to shut his mouth. No matter how hard he tried, Kame forgot almost everything as soon as he heard it, although a few keywords stuck to his memory. A contract. Weaknesses. Another ways around the official method... "What ways?" he spoke, a bit of curiosity returning to his voice, as it seemed that the fledgling was actually on his side in this matter, though keeping true to the clan's rules. Suddenly, the half-blood wondered what kind of person this fledgling really was. What did he live for? What was his past, what was his position within the clan? However, suddenly the subject of his thoughts moved away, a low groan being pulled out from Kame's throat as he scrambled back to his previous spot, the movement increasing the ache in his shoulder. . He was about to curse out loud, when the other vampire finally told him his name... and nicknames. "I like Headrest the best, though. Sir Headrest, if you want," he said, flashing a teasing smile in his direction, the smile having a quick death again as soon as Taehyun continued. Drag himself out of the cave? Kame stared, seeking those dark orbs for some kind of joke. There was none. "I'm already blessing my luck," the younger grumbled, closing his eyes for a moment. He didn't want to do it. He wanted to stay here, at least until he thought to have the tiniest bit of his power back. The halfblood already didn't feel as bad as ten minutes ago, so waiting a bit would be fine, right?

But then there was Taehyun. Challenging. Smirking. Kame had always wanted to choose his own destiny - and if there was one character treat he despised, it was cowardice. And so there was no way he would let this happen to him and stay laying down as a sickly child. No. ing. Way. Using the wall for support, the vampire started to move, first to his knees, then one foot, and up. His body was trembling, quiet pants disrupting the silent darkness. His legs felt like jelly, the pain radiating from his shoulder, but.. He was standing. Kame granted himself a small break, but within a few seconds he was moving, slowly, deliberately, swaying forward more than actually walking. Drag himself out of here, huh? No way he would crawl. But the trembling got worse, and suddenly he stumbled over some uneven ground, losing his balance. Luckily he caught himself against the wall - but not so luckily, it was his injured shoulder that took the hit, drawing another scream of agony out of the younger's lips, the wound reopened and bleeding again. Only a matter of time, Kame told himself, breaths shaking as he straightened himself, expression grim. "I hate you," the younger hissed, taking out the frustration about his own inability to function properly on the other vampire. He didn't care. Step by step he moved forward, until he was at the entrance. Even in the fresh air, he could smell himself. Without looking at Taehyun, the half-blood took off his shirt using his good arm, then used some clean fabric to clean as much blood on his chest as possible; still standing, somehow standing had gotten easier on him now, the distance to the ground not so big anymore. The craving, the hunger, the fatigue; it was still there, but his body knew it would need some energy to pursue the hunt, survival instincts kicking in.

( I'm not trying to ^^; I just write what comes out XD don't worry about it!
I must say.. I love rping with you so far <3 Taehyun is gorgeous, and they're getting along so much better than I expected XD )

@✗ Kamenashi There was a sense of satisfaction in hearing the cry of pain from the action of his fingers. It was maybe sick, considering morals, but one: vampires had none of those or weren't supposed to be having any moral at all. Two, his intervention was demanded and meant to ease the other's suffering so Taehyun had no shame finding pleasure in a fellow vampire's misery. Besides, occasions to be rude or cruel were chained to the Purebloods' will and as a matter of fact, very rare lately: any entertainment out of the ordinary was welcome for Taehyun. Any blood obtained by ways differing from a human donation was to say rare and exciting. Taehyun had found ways to get the precious nectar without bringing much attention to himself and while conserving a hunting tactics, the point being to not bite those who had been seen too many fangs, the ones who had their necks too ready to be pierced, too used to the pain. The halfblood's blood was all he liked: it was immoral to be tasting it, because half cannibal, yet half maddening for the human reminiscence in its flavor; it was not supposed to be part of the healing process and it was unplanned.
"I do." was Taehyun's prompt answer to the other's sarcasm. Oh he wouldn't not hide the fact that once in a while, he enjoyed the useless blood of his own race, just to avoid and forget the dull aftertaste of donors.

He felt the other use him for support and did not yet mind. He was babbling and the fellow weakened vampire failed to understand but that too, he did not care. He heard the hardly voiced question and from the other's tone, some broom-sticked vampire could have lost patience. Taehyun was only amused. This vampire was now just new in town, he was young in this world, that was for sure. He was distantly challenged by the idea of having a mind to mold to his liking; this was not like siring but it seemed as empowering to be the one planting the seeds that could define a being. He smiled at the Halfblood's observation and inhaled, contemplating the veracity of the words. It was the innocence, the somewhat fair opinion on the order of this world that made the self proclaimed Kamenashi that slowly turned the babysitting chore into an interesting game of chess in Taehyun's mind. If he could pull this one on his side, it could come in handy some day.
"Well then Kamenashi, I will have to be honest and make a clear difference between you and I. I once was human, until I was sired by another vampire who himself was once a human. For us, there used to be a secret understatement with humans and the contract remains. A fragile peace we allow to perdure simply to not be hunted down all the time, just like they need to sleep at night without worrying they may be snacked on. But /you people/..." Alright, this was not the best way to address a Halfblood even if the latter's hurt and hungry. "You were born like that. I'm tempted to say you're almost not the same as Purebloods and Fledgling. You maybe don't owe humans much than birth rights. But I heard your kind has some clear weaknesses, so unless you find a clan of Halfblood supporting your thoughts, you should definitely stick to my clan and let them give blood, impose their rules..." He shrugged: "Humans are food and entertainment and our restriction to donors ruins it all, I won't lie about it, but there are ways around the officially shared bags of bloods" he said, referring to the donors he despised more often than not.

That was about when he moved to sit a little farther from the Halfblood. "Here's not the place to pass out Kame. My name is Taehyun but you can call me Hero. Or God. I'd like that yeah. What you can't call me it Headrest." He smirked watching the clearly tired Halfblood. He behaved like he was heartless but his heart was in that ribcage of his, only dead cold. "Come on, don't be like those humans when they're missing some blood. If you drag yourself out of the cage, I'll get you a fix." He could get a donor to come down in the cave, but where was the fun in that, no trusting bond ever started easily. "You're lucky however, I'll be with you all the way." he sang with a smirk and stood up, stretching. This was training, he would not say it, but he felt like training this young vampire, he wanted to try and mold him, seeking a kind of loyalty he had only been giving and never received.

( sweetness! don't mirror! Sometimes I need to explain things about my character for later development and I just use too many words but don't put any pressure on yourself. I'll try to downsize as much as I can.)

@✚ Kikuchi Fuma The fledgling's answer reached his ears, Kame grimly nodding. He knew it was for the better - heck, if the vampire refused, he had to dig it out himself somehow, or he'd quite possibly die. Even now it felt like his energy seeping out of him, like an open tap that spilled his life force. Probably because of the silver. Wait too long, and his limbs would be too heavy to lift, and the young vampire wasn't going to wait for that to happen. He kinda wondered what the other meant by 'because he admitted to being new'. Was that an excuse for making a mistake? Did you need to have a valid reason to end up as you did to deserve help? Maybe. Probably. There wasn't much more room for thoughts, because soon something invaded his wound.

Kame screamed, the sound echoing in the cave, his body jerking at the intrusion. Pain was everywhere, the red center being his shoulder. The vampire bit his lip, forcing himself with all his might to stay still, his breathing quick and shallow. It hurt. God, it hurt. Every second felt like an hour, time dragging on excruciatingly slow. Kame cursed, not quite at the other vampire, but still a little bit, because couldn't he hurry up? Finally, oh finally, the silver was slowly pulled out of his body. By this time, there were unnatural flickers of light on the corners of his sight and Kame rested against the wall, panting heavily, eyes closed. The source of his agony was gone, and now it was only a matter of waiting for his body to take care of himself; if he had enough energy left, but he guessed he did, since he was still conscious. Kame slightly opened his eyes when he felt movement next to him, just in time to see the other his fingers clean. "Like it?" the younger asked, sarcasm dripping off his voice. His eyes opened wider when the other presented him a small package, holding it, then looked at the other, confusion obvious in his features. Why would he want this? Why would he want a reminder of what happened tonight? Every time he'd look at it, he would think back on how stupid he was. And... How lucky that another was here to save him from his stupidity. A war. For revenge. That.... didn't sound so bad. Kame's hand lowered, not caring enough to put the bullet away in his pocket yet. "Right." He wanted to say so much more, ask questions, but his mind was a chaotic mess, and it took all his concentration to keep listening to the other's words.

He was right. What he had done had been dangerous, and at the word 'starving' he felt his whole body react with a fresh craving for blood. However, he didn't have the energy to get up now, let alone get some. It had to wait. He was just so... Tired. The younger slumped sideways, head resting against the other's shoulder, not even really realizing the fact, other than it was easier this way. He tried to listen. He really did, but he missed the point the other was making. "What smell of blood? Babysit?" he asked, voice hoarse, really having no idea what he was talking about now. The next question he did understand, but he kept quiet. To be honest, he hadn't even know of their existence - or rather, he knew they were there for the purebloods, but not that they were available for him, too. But he didn't want to admit that. Didn't want to come off as even more stupid than he already has. "What's the problem with using normal humans? They're food. They were born to be food. Just like-" Kame coughed, a low groan and a silence following, the pain reinforcing itself at the rash movement. "... they breed pigs, keep them caged and eat them. We don't breed humans, we're not keeping them caged. So what's wrong with it?" His breathing was getting deeper again, slowly but surely. "I'm Kamenashi, by the way. Short it to Kame."

(that moment I was procrastinating this reply because of the length, then thought it I'll just make it short, started writing, and ended up way longer than intended OTL ooooh well)
✚ Nam Taehyun 7 years ago
@✗ Kamenashi Once in awhile, there could be a new vampire in town; Taehyun knew he was being condescendingly rude, but years roaming Earth, and more precisely this city had made him grumpily pompous. He did however take note of this vampire’s honesty. Some halfbloods had the knack to think themselves so different they were another kind, they didn’t belong with the rest of vampires and they could follow their own rules. For all Taehyun had seen, Purebloods mostly agreed to the racial difference. They despised the kind they were not so proud to recognize, the fruit of their unions with weaklings, but they took some kind of distant responsibility, because to any human: a vampire was a vampire, period. The Fledgling was only glad he was not to pull off trouble a stubborn know-it-all, that would make it to painful to bear. He smiled at the snarl, supposing this one’s pride was hurt, blazing red in shame for needing a rescue mission. His grin only intensified as he was definitely asked for assisting in pulling the bullet out. Taehyun would have watched the other pool the caves in his semi human semi vampire blood, he would have watched until the other would have dared to ask for mercy. It lacked of respect, of praising, of manners, but the Halfblood would get too weak to speak soon, and Taehyun wasn’t about to hunt down for a donor to spare a few ounces for a Halfblood in dire need.

“I will do it, not because I was sent here to somehow handle you, but because you admitted to being new. I hope you understand that excuse won’t work twice.” He had been that young vampire once, falling in every trap possible, hiding from his Sire for nights in shame.
He had the Halfblood sit on a seemingly old camping site that displayed drawings humans did, tales about his kind, attacking theirs. He had the stranger lean against the wall to stabilize him and dug two fingers in the open wound for a better precision. He wouldn’t feel the bullet with his claws, but with his skin, it would burn him bad enough to pull it out quick. The blond leaned in and seeked, seeked and seeked until the tips of his fingers burnt inside of the other’s flesh. He winced and glanced up at the other’s face before he pulled the silver bullet out and set it on the floor, trapped between the soles of his shoes.
“Luckily, they are only about one-shots these days, no more multiple flakes of silver.” He had his nose frowned at the memory; in freshly turned days, laid down in agony while older Fledgling scattered his body with blade cuts to reach behind bones, inside organs, for tiny silver-nerved marbles. /Ah, the old damned days./
Taehyun sat properly next to the halfblood and the blood off his fingers. its taste printed on his tongue forever. There was something maddeningly human and nauseatingly deathly about it. That being done, he ripped the sleeve of his shirt off and folded it a couple times to wrap the bullet in it and he presented the package to the Halfblood.

“Here’s for you to keep, just like /they/ keep a board of the Clan’s accidental and unclaimed killings.” He made the difference very clear: any vampire could come in town, kill, it would get pinned on the clan.
“One day, there might be a war and you will know who to have this bullet swallowed down by.”
This was how he let the other live, though it turned his stomach, how he obediently took care of any issue the Purebloods would send him on and sort things out without human casualties. His revenge was as old as he was, running on human family trees already; names doomed to disappear someday.
“You can’t afford to be in a town and not know. Especially if you intend on grabbing a snack. Stronger vampires got killed for less and right now, even if you’re healing, you’re starving.”
He was saying this in a completely descriptive way, and no intention to bring food so soon. “Funny thing about my Clan’s Purebloods: they just want the smell of blood gone, before they disgrace themselves for solving the issue with their own fangs. They don’t really care what I do when I babysit.” Now he was playing. This new comer would have to learn fast, not the hardest way but not the sweetest either.
“Whether you’re from the Clan or not, you have to stick to the donors. Do you even know how to find them?” he mocked, using his advantage to banter. He only hoped the other wouldn’t toy with him by bringing the attention to himself or Taehyun himself would be a Disgrace.

@✚ Kikuchi Fuma In his mind, Kame was cursing himself for his stupidity. If it was too good to be true, it probably was. He had let himself be outsmarted by mere humans - what the hell was he thinking? That such a gorgeously seducing scent was a true gift? Of course it was a trap. But the vampire didn't settle long on these thoughts, his mind quickly working on different ways to get out. The wound hurt, badly, making it harder to think; but what was clear was that he had to act fast, or there would be no chance at surviving at all. God, only that thought made him mad. Killed by some humans. Lost in their game. No ing -way- he was going to let that happen. He would send her flying towards the other hunter, then used that momentum to escape. Yes. If there was anything that would work, that was it. Kame's arm moved, but just as he was about to push with his right and let the choking grip go with his left, another scent intruded his nostrils, and within a seconds a vampire appeared behind the male hunter. The half-blood stood frozen, staring at the sight in front of him, his mind already working on the several possibilities how this would affect the outcome.

Soon enough, the human dropped his weapon, the sound annoyingly loud in the otherwise quiet atmosphere. The young vampire was staring, eyes fixed on the duo in front of him, more than a little bit confused. It seemed those two knew each other. But.... Ah- how sweet. Kame's lips tugged up into a small smile -or smirk?- when the other vampire kissed his cheek. It was something that he himself would've done, in the other's shoes. However, the confusion was back. He let go of the woman, her coughs filling the air, but he didn't understand. Why didn't they kill them? They were hunters. Working and training to kill -them-. Why would they allow them to keep on living? The stranger was close now, a covered hand pressing against his wound. Kame hissed, refraining himself from flinching backwards at the sudden pain flowing through his body. "I didn't know," the younger grumpily replied, truly not having heard of any of these tactics before. That could be explained by the fact he'd been living as a soloist before, only recently turning to the clan. That didn't change the fact he absolutely hated what happened - that another had saved his life, for goddamned sake. He had joined the clan to prove himself, to show he was worth it, and now he only seemed like a ing noob. Without thinking much on where they were going, he followed the other vampire into a cave, his movements and reflexes visibly slower than usual. Another annoying fact.

His eyes flashed to the other vampire - a fledgling, someone who had once be full human, but not anymore. At least now he was a full vampire; even though he wasn't a pureblood, it was something Kame could never reach. "Then don't babysit. I didn't ask for your help," he snarled back, sitting down against one of the walls. The bleeding hadn't stopped, soaking his shirt, although it was slowing down a bit. The vampire blood in him was trying to heal it, but Kame knew it wouldn't be able to, not as long as the bullet was still in there. That wouldn't be possible even for someone like Taehyun; not even for a pureblood. "But if you're going to do it, do it quick."

@✗ Kamenashi Lately, Taehyun had felt gently distracted by the smell of vampire blood. Past the desire for his Sire’s blood, he paid more attention to the blood of fellow fledglings since he couldn’t quite get so close to any Purebloods. But the one that he smelled, right, now, out of a feast, was one that had the smell of fruits like any human’s, and a hint of death. “Halfblood” he mused and dug his hands in his pockets, not really minding. At least not until his eyes crossed with a couple Purebloods who looked at him accusingly. /A disgrace./ They knew Taehyun was no Halfblood, but he was their little soldier and if their nose were distracted by some smell, he was to deal with it. Taehyun’s tongue looked for something in his own mouth, poking his inner cheek to prevent himself from biting his tongue when he really wanted to protest. Oh biting himself for getting a direct order would not just make him look bad, it would put shame on his Sire’s name and that he couldn’t allow.
The blond retrieved his hands from his pockets to formally bow before he ran closer to the smell. He was the type to curse and drag his feet in a total dramatic way but just not if he was facing Purebloods. He would do just anything for the clan that had given him immortality.

He walked in a house, across its intern yard before jumping into another human house through its window. A finger pressed to his own lips when he heard the owner gasp: the surprise was to be seen before even being heard, a little advantage that provoked surprise before anger. He’d be gone before the man would find something to say, when he’d have a clear idea of what he was running into. He knew the hunters, the ties they had to each other, he knew this city, because he was old and listened to all gossips to serve his clan. He couldn’t recognize the Halfblood but he walked into the situation just after a woman was taken hostage by a cornered and dangerously hurt vampire.
He took advantage of the tense situation to creep just being the hunter aiming at the fellow vampire, using an instantly grown claw to scratch a line on the human’s neck.
“I swear one day I will turn you. Drop your weapon sheriff.”
The human stiffened and sighed in annoyment, effectively dropping his weapon. Taehyun was known around. He was the dog of the clan as hunter mocked him, but behind closed doors, they’d rather consider him a wolf. He was loyal to his clan and thus, he compromised, all the time, to make sure the order would stay in place for as long as the Clan would require.
He had gained in strength by fighting those hunters’ parents, and though he could not be trusted, they knew his motives and his total disinterest in creating a war the Clan wouldn’t declare.

His claw shrinked back, a delicate, though cold, finger caressing the human skin. “Good boy!” he complimented and pressed a kiss to the hunter’s cheek, abusing of their so called mutual respect and maybe just reminding who was the beast holding back.
“Come on let her go now.” He said to the unknown vampire as he let go of the human and walked passed him, turning his back on him confidently. Hunters were not to be trusted, but he had bested this hunter one too many times to not know him by heart by now. “You, lady, should pray I don’t ever find your scent attractive; your head would be snapped before your gang even gets out of their lair.” That was a threat which he didn’t fail to punctuate with a mean glare. Taehyun pressed the white sleeve covering his palm against the open wound of the Halfblood and frowned at him.
“Were you just born? She the best bait in town. Were you starving so much you had to fall in such a trap? Or did you just want a fight? Cause I can give you one, anytime” he scolded, leading the vampire in a dark cave. Those silver bullets were tricky to pull out, even with experience, and they hurt like hell.
“I can't believe I have to babysit, at least this place has the best acoustics: we have to pull the bullet out.” His grin was the worst, as if he could feed on the pain from others to make up for the lack of killing in his life.

@✚ Kikuchi Fuma The vampire was squatting on one of the roofs, looking down at a certain human woman walking down on the street. Even from where he was seated, she smelled nice, luring him in from afar. Ever since he had gotten her scent, he had been fixated with finding her. His lips tugged up into a smirk. She wasn't bad looking.. Beautiful, even. It would be fun to play around with this one for a while, as he wasn't truly hungry anyway; he could last another day without. Kame had always preferred the roofs. It was quiet up here, and no human ever bothered to look up. Stupid beings. Even though Kame came into this world by a human woman, he held little to no respect for those beings, and he thanked his luck that even though his human blood made him physically weaker, at least he got the vampire genes for his brains. Eventually the woman was walking straight below him, and without a second thought Kame jumped down.

However, as he flied through the air, he was suddenly thrown off balance, pain radiating from his shoulder. He landed behind the woman, grunting, blood flowing from the bullet wound in his shoulder. The vampire silently cursed, in a split second turning around to face the one shooting him. A hunter was grinning at him, gun raised. "I see you fell into our trap, filthy beast," he laughed, obviously proud of himself. Then... Kame gazed backwards, the woman now turned to him as well, the victory clear in her eyes. So it had been a trap. //. Thinking quick, Kame moved behind the woman, lower arm wrapped around her neck and pulling her back, off her balance. He leaned in to her neck, using her as human shield against the other hunter. "You're playing a dangerous game, my love," he hummed close to her ear. One wrong movement, and it would mean defeat... And probably death. He had to find a way out- the wound was draining his energy, his power, and soon even a human would be able to overpower him. His eyes searched for an escape, a way out, before either of the hunters came up with a way to finish their job. Would his blood be strong enough to attract another vampire? Maybe - but he couldn't count on that....

@[X] Woozi Kibum followed the other but made no effort in actually catching up but if he willed, he definitely can, with his vampire abilities, of course. He didn't expect that the halfblood he was following would sprint and leave him behind. Kibum pursed his lips in a pout as he halted his steps. True enough, the other lost him in the crowd.

"Now, where did Mr. Vampire go?"

Kibum looked around in hope of spotting the half blood among the sea people, a sinister smile decorating his lips. Kibum deemed it's time to use his powers. Looks can be deceiving as what they say. He may appear innocent but he is anything but that word. With his eyes glowing red, Kibum disappeared from the crowd--fast and quiet.

"Why would you starve yourself, halfbood vampire-ssi? That's not good for your body, you know"

There Kibum is---standing, that same sinister yet innocent smile on his lips. HIs demeanor taunting, screaming his status. The halfblood piqued his interest.

@[V] Kibum Jihoon sprinted clumsily trying his back to get away as fast as he humanly can without attracting anybody especially the vampire he just met. Without thinking he ran into an alley to catch a breath since he is a lethargic person therefore he is not fond of any form of exercise especially running.

" ! I hope I lost him already, God damn it! I know I shouldn`t have come today. Stupid hunger.. why you have to be in me."

After taking another deep breath, Jihoon blend in between the crowd looking around for the guy to see if he was nearby. as much as he tempted to used his other eyes, He didn`t like to used it in the village. Too many people he knew and it`s a risk.

"I`m done with this.. I should just go home and starve myself a few days before going for a hunt at the pub."

Despite him cringed having to drink from someone who had drunk he had no choice. At least his prey only think they blacked out.

@[X] Woozi No one, or at least anyone who knows Kibum is a pureblood, has dared to raise voice at him. Cussing could be forgiven but not yelling. Kibum was startled but more than that he's furious, not even his brother had treated him like this.

"Yah! I know it's my fault for recklessly judging you and saying those things but you didn't have to yell and cuss at me."

Kibum folded his arms over his chest, glaring at the other but he frowned. The stranger's eyes changed and he was staring at Kibum hard. 'What is he trying to do?', Kibum thought. It had no effect on him.

"Oh, wait!"

When Kibum saw the other scurrying away, he quickly followed, calling out for the other.

"Hey! Wait! Where are you going? Hey, Mr. Vampire!"

@[V] Kibum Rolling his eyes, Jihoon ignored the questions that been thrown to his face, he made a beeline straight to the gap without stopping until the other words triggered the back of his mind. He clenched his fists hard and growled under his breath.

"Shut the up! You know nothing about me! and I can curse whenever I want! My your own business damn this people."

Jihoon lashed out without him knowing as his eyes glowed a bit brighter. He looked straight into the other eyes hoping he can manipulated the guy to ignored and erased Jihoon of his mind and memory. Stopped when I started to realize you didn`t even had a scent stuck on you.

"What the hell.."

Without a second thought, Jihoon rushed his way out to not meeting or bumping with the person again.
