@kim jiho Though Jin's footsteps were loud and overpowering against the pavement, he still heard footsteps behind him. Dare he? He glanced over his shoulder and saw her chasing right after him. But, he had to lose her, no matter how tired he was beginning to get. Ragged pants escaped his mouth, his legs beginning to feel numb at how fast he had to run, but he forced his legs to carry on. Cursing the lights that illuminated his pathway, it was a pro and a con.
Turning a sharp corner, he was back down into a narrow alleyway that was surrounded by garbage. Growling, he tipped over each trash bin that he could to create more obstacles for her, the loud noises making his ear ring with pain. Towards the end of the alleyway, he realized there were two dumpsters but also a fence. Quickly, he gave all he had and ran towards the dumpster. Jumping onto the box in front of the dumpster, he got on top of the trash, using it to elevate him before grasping onto the top of the fence with one hand, boosting himself up as he held the suitcase and his gun close to his chest.
Jumping down from of it, his hoodie got snagged by the fence and he panicked. Trying to tug it away, he realized it was inevitable, and had no other choice but to ditch it. Seokjin shrugged it right off and hid behind the building, the darkness engulfing his body as he hid, his pants loud before growing quieter as he calmed down.
@◬kim seokjin his response was unusual, her eyes was shifting with hesitation, she took a step forward and lowered her gun a little still keeping her guards up. "actually it is my business, please place the object down-" her sentence was stopped, the shadowed figure shoving their way out losing her balance caused her to fall onto the ground. she scoffed, "god damn it. no not todat jiho," she mumbled to herself as she picked herself up, trying to catch up.
the rough shove on her set up a pain, she struggled to chase the mysterious guy. the dim lights helped a bit, capturing the black figure, she dashed quickly as possible. she wasn't gonna let this one escape her, the wind blowing into her hair and trying to catch her breath made the run difficult. "stop right now!" shouting outloud was the only thing she had to do, she pasted faster and faster until she wouls pass out.
@kim jiho His eyes saw the sudden movement in the darkness, his gaze flickering down at her own holster that was wrapped around her waist. Under the moonlight, he saw a glint of her own gun appearing. Clenching his jaw, he could feel panic rise in his chest. He knew that it wouldn't matter if his cover was blown, and yet, he couldn't help but feel wary about it for once, "Yeah, what are you gonna do? Shoot me. Go ahead," he hissed out.
Seokjin glanced at what she stared at, hugging it closer to his frame. "Nothing. None of your concern." annoyance laced his tone. His panicked gaze looking around again. Taking in a deep breath, he sprinted towards her, to throw her off before changing direction, pushing past her roughly as he ran down the street, determined to get away.
His footsteps thumped against the pavement harshly, his breathing ragged. His hood fell down, hugging the briefcase to his chest now, his gun still in his hand, but ready to be used to ward anyone off and he wouldn't hesitate to use it.
@◬kim seokjin his rough voice echoed into her ears, she felt like now the tall figure was a threat. hearing the weapon in his hand make a click sound, she slowly reached for her gun that tugged onto the belt attached onto her hips. holding in front of her just to worry him, "put your weapon down," she called out to him. the vibes of the night sky gave her shivers, the wind blowing like a whistle.
she leaned to the side seeking a small warped shape next to the shadow's side. "what's that you have there?" thoughts passing her head, this was a decision she couldn't make. it was either to deal with this alone or call for back up.
@kim jiho Jin stepped back once, the back of his shoe kicking at the briefcase that held the money that ended their exchange. He let out a curse at the loud sound emitted from it, glancing down to look at it before quickly looking back at her. Slowly, he leaned down, hand frantically touching the wet, dirty ground, searching for the handle of the briefcase. His fingers brushed against it gently, the sound of the handle hitting against the briefcase echoing within the narrow alleyway, breaking the tense atmosphere for just a second. Grasping onto the handle, he stood back up properly, gripping onto it tightly.
"Jiho?" he spoke mockingly, "Who the hell is that?" his voice was rough, "I've never met you in my life." he spat out, eyes narrowed within the darkness as he took another step back. He had to analyze the situation quickly, figure out a way out. If he continued moving back, he'd meet with the nice brick wall that would trap him quickly. The only way out was the way she was currently blocking. Clenching his jaw, he shifted the briefcase to be pressed against his body, situated underneath his armpit. His hand that was now free, grasped onto the barrel of the gun, pushing it back as a loud 'click' rang from it, signalling it was ready to be used as a warning.
@◬kim seokjin silence grew between them, her sense of blinking didn't help her see through the darkness of evil. the only thing she can see was a weapon the shadowed figure was holding in position. her eyes widened in fear and terror like she was in a nightmare. the shout of the familiar voice bounced off her again and again, she felt targeted. the weapon in his hand raised up at her, she was completely frozen. "it-it's me, jiho." the voice of hers was stuttering and wobbly, her eyes shifting. "wha-what are you doing out here alone?"
@kim jiho The silence that engulfed him in the darkness was unbearable. His hands shook slightly, "Who. Are. You?" he punctuated each syllable, his breathing going ragged as he grew tense. His index finger pressed down on the trigger more, threatening to shoot but then stopped suddenly when he recognize the familiar voice. His mouth was agape, his gun staying still pointed at her, trying not to make it seem evident.
His heart thumped against his chest, suddenly feeling the tightening feeling from it as he grew anxious from it. His gun was now lowering, shifting his gaze away from here. He was glad that the dark alley covered most of the traits of him as he lowered his head away from the moonlight. Jin shut his eyes tightly, feeling his blood run cold. The air around him grew thin as he pursed his lips, not sure on how to respond. But if he let this drag on, this would be hell.
Making his voice drop a few octaves, he growled, "Who the hell is that? Shouldn't you get away from here?" he paused, raising his gun to point at her again, "It's dangerous being out here. Alone. If you don't feel like dying today, I suggest you leave. Now."
@◬kim seokjin the same old boring room, filled with cops and detectives. the boredom grew each minute, a small sigh drifted from her lips. her eyelids trying to shroud, the effect from last night effected her energy. her hands raised up to her eyes; rubbing it a couple times. her eyes flickering on and off as if they were a light switch, the dim light in the room made jiho even tired.
she lifted her body weight out of her chair, dusting off her lower half before walking to the coffee maker. hearing the coffee being poured into the owner's mug, a light blub blinged in her. her hands gripping a mug firmly and snugly, locating it onto the counter, then grasping onto the coffee container and pouring the brown creamy coffee into her cup. the gray smoke blew into the atmosphere, her hands clinging onto the handle of the mug before placing the coffee container back into its position. she ensconced herself back into her comfy chair, unknoting her back spine, the thought of her friend came into mind. positioning her lips towards the coffe and blowing into it as if she was blowing a candle out, little by little, she lifted the mug upwards to take a sip.
afterwards, she situated the mug onto her organized desk. deep thoughts flew by her head, her legs dragged her to jin's desk. in the corners of his desk was dark, his lamp wasn't , her brows quirked. curiosity ruled over her mind, thoughts like, where was he? anxiety crawling upon her, her nerves getting to her. she needed fresh air to buy some time, clutching onto the door handle she held and turning it to uncover darkness.
her eye lens becoming thiner and thiner as she walked on the sidewalk. the twisted warped shaped stars in the sky that was bright, but dim at the same time. the transitory moonlight bleaches the grey-scale world momentarily, and then it is gone. her mind was a blur with possibilities, each more fanciful than the next. an unexpected voice echoed throughout a alleyway. it was low, with an agreeable trace of huskiness and with a hint of power.
she followed the voice, leading her to an alleyway. slowly peeking out to see who was shouting through the echoes, whispering to herself, "time for some action detective jiho." a tall figure with broad shoulders captured in her eyes, she squinted her eyes trying to tell if it was really him. deciding to take a step to the side was her choice, softly walking closer then coming into a stopping point. "j-jin? is that you?" she stuttered.
@kim jiho A deliberate sigh fell from his lips, weaving his way through the darkness of the alley, not letting another sound escape from his mouth. It was hard enough not to only avoid work phone calls as well as the streets where the policemen often wander for reconnaissance or jobs they had to follow. Soon enough, he had to stay in his own territory or walk with a hoodie or a cap. As shady as he probably already seemed, the bar seemed to escalate very quickly with his attire. He peeked his head out from the alleyway, noticing that the streets were still empty. Clutching onto the bag he held in his hand, he walked over to the other alleyway that the so called client chose with long strides. His legs picked up the pace as he drew nearer to the dark abyss that soon swallowed him whole.
His gaze flickered, eyes squinted as he peered through the said darkness. Hearing a rustle, his free hand went down to his gun holster, grasping onto the cool metal, lifting it up, his index finger ready to pull the trigger to elicit the bang. He didn't care if that attracted attention, even though worse case scenario, he wasn't supposed to be here. Through the dark, he saw a faint color change within the darkness and lowered the gun slowly, "Bastard," he hissed out and dropped the bag, "Come on, let's see the money you promised," his voice grew dangerously low, "Have it out in 5 seconds, that's it." quick rustling was heard as the briefcase was dropped and kicked towards him. his lips tentatively, he eyed the shadow and then leaned down, unlocking the briefcase and peered inside to see that inside was indeed filled with money. Sighing, he locked it and stood up, kicking over his bag, "As promised it's all he-" he paused, hearing another rustle, causing him to look around.
"Did you bring anyone else? You piece of !" he growled, lifting up his gun, pointing it at the direction he heard the noise from, "Come out," he gruffly spoke, gaze lowered to hide his face.
