Of course! I am a photography student~
*walks to the nearest table inside the cafe and motions for you to sit*
@(S) Lee Jaehwan Jongup was listening the intro he had made a second ago when the owner of the cafe brought his iced latte. He knew the man from before since he mostly brought his coffee and talked on the way. Actually, the man talked too much for Jongup's liking but he never said anything since he was in a good mood. When he was inspired he would feel good. "A song." He simply said not wanting to waste any words. "Thank you for asking."
@(C) Gong Minji Despite the terrible situation, her kisses still felt magical, and he didn't want to ever pull back. He wrapped his pinky tightly around hers, barely trying to smile through his sadness as he nodded his head. "Good. Because I'll kill you," he muttered playfully in a weak attempt to lighten the mood, even though it was pretty obvious a cafe owner had no chance against a mafia princess. Kissing her back again, more than happy to, he ran his fingers through her hair gently. "I'll.. I'll meet you there then, okay? The second I get off work."
Jaehwan was at the counter, wiping it down to help out the employees when his brown hues flickered over the male who walked in and headed straight for a table. He couldn't help but grin that silly grin of his-- he knew Jongup only from his visits to the cafe, and quite honestly, he loved to chat with him, even if their personalities were completely different. Sometimes, it was even kind of fun pestering him, but Jaehwan really meant no harm or offense by any of his actions. "I'll make it," he told the waitress, not surprised by the musician's somewhat cold behavior. Preparing the drink, he then walked over to his table, setting it down. "Hey there, man!" he greeted loudly so that he could hear him, a grin on his face. "Whatchya working on today?"
@(D) Jung Daehyun ( omg sorry this is even later, school has been kicking my ;; dw tho it's all good!! i'm sorry to hear about your muse tho, i hate when that happens ;; )
It had been a calm day at the cafe, and Jaehwan really had no reason to stay, considering he knew his workers had everything under control, but the place was like a second home to him. He loved to talk to the people who came in, especially the ones he had never seen before, and he actually did love to work, whether it was making drinks or serving them. He remembered that his parents had put their heart and soul into running this cafe, and he wanted to do the same. He refused to disappoint them as they watched over him from wherever they were, and he wanted to make sure nothing ever happened to their beloved cafe that now belonged to him.
He was standing idly by the counter, taking the chance to check the notifications on his phone while they were in the slower part of the day-- there were only one or two customers in the cafe right now. He glanced up briefly when a male walked in, smiling to himself deciding he would say hello in a bit, especially because it was a face he had not seen before, but looked back down at his phone to reply to a text for now. However, the second he heard the name emitted from the man's lips, his head snapped up, his dark brown orbs widening slightly. Jung Daehyun? He could never forget that name, no matter how much he wanted to. The names from those damned reports were burned into his brain, the names of not only the driver responsible for his family's death, but the driver's son who had been in the car. Jaehwan was sure that even if he were to somehow suffer from some type of memory loss, he would /still/ remember those damned names.
He watched as the man came slightly closer to him, since he was standing by the pick up area of the counter. "Jung Daehyun," he finally mumbled, unable to help himself as he looked back down at his phone, not even able to bring himself to look at him at the moment. "I didn't think I would see you again..." His voice was not filled with malice or hate, even though he had to admit he felt a bit of it deep down. He was too nice, though, too kindhearted to show that side of him to anyone.
@(S) Lee Jaehwan Massaging his lips with rhers, Minji, wiped his tears she hates seeing him cry. And knowing that she was the reason destroyed her even more. She bit her lip and nodded, linking their pinkies as a promise. "Okay. I promise I won't run." She had a long history of avoiding talks like this by literally disappearing. She kissed him sweetly one more time. "We have to... I can't lose you."
@(S) Lee Jaehwan It was one of those days that Jongup felt as if everything around was inspiring him. With the excitement he got from this feeling he decided to go to his favorite cafe, where he found the inspire for almost all of his songs. Finding himself an empty table, he settled down and placed his laptop on. He looked at the menu briefly since he already knew his order. "Iced americano, please." He called out to the waitres and then put his earphones on without waiting an answer. Opening the program on his computer, he took a deep breath and let his finger do the magic.
@(C) Gong Minji He helped her up, his teary eyes still filled with concern as he looked at her. The second she brought her lips to his, he kissed her back more than happily, trying to savor it as much as he could-- for all he knew, it could be their last one. He was a bit disappointed when she pulled away, but he nodded his head almost immediately. "I'll meet you at your place," he spoke softly, "after work. Okay? We can talk about all of this there.." He lifted his hand, wiping her tears gently. "Please don't cry, Minji. We'll... we'll figure this out. I promise."
@(S) Lee Jaehwan [ sorry so late ;; i hope it's good enough too cause my muse has been like---out the door lately orzz ]
As the sun began to set for the evening, it only meant one thing for Daehyun, who was casually making his way down the street, a cased guitar resting on his shoulder. His performance at a local bar was due in just a few hours. And although his pace was relaxed, his heart pumped anxiety through his veins. It wasn't as if this was his first time performing. In fact, he'd been doing gigs for a while now, and it was how he comfortably made his living. Though nonetheless, the nervousness never seemed to leave him alone as he found himself blanketed by it every single time. A shaky sigh escaped his lips, non stop scenarios playing through his mind. What if his voice cracked? What if he strummed the wrong chord? The degrading questions played over and over in his mind until the sweet aroma of brewed coffee and baked pastries made him slow his steps to a stop. He looked over shoulder at the welcoming café, smiling a little as he thought to himself that a cup of coffee would be just the thing to calm his nerves.
Entering the café, Daehyun quietly looked around, quite amazed by the beautiful décor of the place. For a brief moment, he thought to himself that it would make a perfect date to bring his Jonguppie here. And just thinking about the man, brought a warm smile to his face. He walked towards the front where a female worker awaited him with a friendly smile, in which he returned before gazing up at the menu. He was unsure what to get, since he rarely visited cafes and simply made his own coffee at home. However, the sweetest, most unhealthy thing sounded pleasant at the moment, so he decided on White Chocolate Mocha. She asked his name for the order after telling him his total and he replied, "Jung Daehyun," with a soft smile before reaching into his pocket for the desired amount. He gave her a little bit over what was totaled, but assured her to keep the change before smiling again and stepping off to the side to wait for his order.
@(S) Lee Jaehwan Minji was on the floor shaking violently, then she shook her head, and looked up and him, and used his hand and lifted herself up using his hand, and took him up with her. Being without Jaehwan was such a painful thought, and she'd surely be mourning like a widow for a long time. She already had no one, and losing her best friend meant she was truly alone. She looked into his teary eyes and couldn't help but connect their lips again. She massaged his lips with her own and pulled away. "We can talk at my place later, but you're working and I think I'm making everyone uncomfortable." She used her sleeve and wiped her face.
@(C) Gong Minji The cafe owner could hardly care about the customers surrounding them-- quite honestly, he had forgotten there were even other people in the room. He bit on his lower lip as he looked down at her, wishing there was /something/ he could do to make her stay, but he had no idea what. How was this happening? One second, they had been the regular Minji and Jaehwan they always were, hugging and laughing and even kissing, for God's sake-- and now she was trying to tell him goodbye forever. "I'd never stop loving you," he murmured softly, moving his hand to hold her face, too. Even if he were to find a girlfriend, he knew he'd always have a special place in his heart for Minji. "C-can.. Can I really never s-see you again?" he asked, looking at her sadly. "You can't mean this. You.. you come here all the time. Is there something so wrong with that?"
@(S) Lee Jaehwan Minji was slowly losing her grip on reality. She had to leave him. She sat in her ball on the floor and sobbed into her hands. Her makeup was running and she looked a mess. She held his hands and a louder sob erupted from her lips. She felt bad for making such a scene in front of his customers, but she thought she was dying. "I-I know... but it'll only hurt you. I don't want you to be hurt because you're associated with me." She raised her hand and kept her eyes downcast. She gently wiped his tear. "We... we can't. I love you too... so so much. That's why I have to do this. Please," she bit her lip. "Just let me be selfish and never stop loving me."
@(C) Gong Minji He widened his eyes even more as he listened to her; she was being serious, she was truly saying goodbye to him. How could he get her to stop? He knew she was probably only being reasonable; he couldn't imagine being a member of the mafia was particularly the safest occupation-- but still, he couldn't have her walk out of his life. Yes, perhaps it was selfish, but he needed her. She brought him a happiness no one else had in a long time. "Minji," he spoke desperately, crouching down in front of her and grasping her hands tightly. He felt his heart race faster when she told him she loved him, but how could he be truly happy about it while seeing her in the current state she was in? "I-if we can't be together like /that/, can't we still be friends? We've... we've been best friends this whole time," he pointed out; yes, he would love to be able to call her /his/, but he would rather have her as just a friend than lose her entirely. That would be too painful. He felt his eyes well up slightly, but he was not ashamed or embarrassed by it. "Please. Don't leave. I-I love you too much for you to just leave."
@(S) Lee Jaehwan When she kissed him, she deepened it only slightly as she d his face with her tiny hand. She didn't want to walk away, but that was the only way she could protect him like a true best friend or lover would. She stopped in her tracks as his broken voice echoed in her ears. She kept her eyes on the ground, as one look at him would make her crumble. "Live a good life." She bit her lip as the tears began to slowly run down her face again. "That is what I can do for you as your best friend, if I leave. I want to give you everything the world has to offer, but I can't do that in a way that's...good." She kept her eyes down, but reached for his hand and held it gently. "If I leave you now, you can live a better life." She shook her head at his statement. Even now, he was hurting himself over her, and they weren't even together. "I will always l-love you..." She collapsed to the ground, uncaring if she was being dramatic as well, and she sobbed. She was a messy ball of misery.
@(C) Gong Minji His eyes automatically shut as she kissed him, though his features were still downcast. He wanted to pull her closer, keep her in his arms forever, but before he knew it, she was already walking away. "W-Wait," he said with wide eyes, rushing over to block her from leaving, though in the least aggressive way possible. "You don't have to leave. I-- What am I supposed to do without you?" It sounded a bit dramatic, yes, but even if he disregarded his feelings for her, she was still a good friend. She brought him happiness and light into his life, even made him forget how truly messed up his mind could be thanks to the traumas of his past. "Don't do this, Minji, please. I-I don't care who you are or what kind of life you have. That... That doesn't change who you are to me.."
@(S) Lee Jaehwan "Hm?" She looked up at him and sniffled loudly. She shuddered inside the comfort of his arms. He made her feel so warm inside, and comfortable. It killed her inside that she could never have him to herself. It'd be too dangerous for him. "I c-can't leave." She shook her head and continued to cry. "I'm so sorry." She couldn't and she wasn't sure she would if it even that was an option. "H-honey..." She looked up and kissed his lips. "I care about you, so I have to leave you." She stepped out of his embrace and made her way to the exit.
@(S) Wu Yifan When he tried to look at her again, Minji placed both hands on his cheeks again and slightly directed his face to actually look at her. She was so much shorter than he was it was a bit difficult. "Yes. Gong Minji. The exact one you're thinking." She followed him closely, still freaked out by walking the streets in broad daylight. She obviously was a night owl. "I- wait!" She knew the cafe they were going to. She was a regular. How hadn't she seen or met him before? She walked through the door and held the door open for him as well. Holding his hand, she walked them to the counter, and whispered for them to serve them at the table, but to only give the check to her. She led Yifan to the table and sat them down.
@(C) Gong Minji He could see the fear in her eyes, and it made him feel protective. Was someone threatening her? Hurting her? He watched as she pulled away from him, instinctively wanting to pull her back, but he resisted the urge so he could let her answer. He certainly was not expecting the words that came out of . He wasn't even quite sure how to react to that. The mafia had always felt like something he saw in movies, something practically surreal-- but if he had to think of someone who would be involved with it, he would never imagine that someone being Minji. "H-hey," he whispered, still upset nonetheless that she was crying so hard. Pulling her into a warm hug, he truly wasn't sure what to say to this. It certainly did cause complications, but he did not hate her for it. "Is... is this a life you want to stay in?" he asked curiously, still holding her close and allowing her to cry into his broad chest all she wanted.
@(C) Gong Minji Her utterance of his name got him to stop suddenly. How did she..? Yifan turned his head around to look at her, making sure that now his eyes was aligned with hers. "Gong Minji.." He whispered under his breath while thinking who that person might be. Recently, there have been a ruckus involving this one household and mafia which he knew due to his stylist's blabbermouth. They talked about how a certain woman who goes by the name Gong Minji is the daughter of this mafia's head, and how she looked too pretty to be a cold-hearted killer. Yifan's eyes grew wide in realization, but the idea of her being bad went down the drain as he remembered how she saved him. Clearly people misjudged her because of her background, he shook his head lightly before a soft smile emerged from his lips. "Indeed you are not, Ms.Gong Minji." He agreed before pulling her again to the nearby cafe. When they finally arrived at the store, he opened the door and waited for the woman to get in first.
@(S) Lee Jaehwan Minji looked up at him with fear. She was terrified. So many questions. He'd leave her. He'd never want her. She'd put him in danger. Then again, she had the power to protect him. "I-" she shook her head at him and pulled her face away from his grasp. He always took care of her and treated her like his princess. She needed to return the favor and protect him too. "M-mafia... princess..." she whimpered weakly. "I'm the monarch of the mafia. I've done terrible things to people. Sometimes for the fun. It was how I was raised and trained before daddy died..." she opened up to him and continued to sob violently.
@(C) Gong Minji He was still completely shocked as he watched her, his eyes now widening as he saw her cry. Inmediately standing up, he took his face in her hands, looking down into her eyes with a deep frown. He still had no idea what was happening, what the hell she was talking about, but all he knew was that he hated seeing her upset. "You? Terrible? How is that even possible?" he breathed out, truly not understanding. Using his thumbs to rub her tears away, he mumbled, "You could never hurt me. I... I don't understand, Minji. What do you mean, your background? What... what life were you born into?"
@(S) Lee Jaehwan She held his hand tightly and placed his forehead on top of their intertwined hands. She was straight on sobbing silently. "P-please..." she was desperate. He was her innocent little love. Someone she wanted to keep pure, and protect as long as she was breathing. "If you knew my background..." she sniffled quietly. "I c-cant. I'm desperate for you to love me and be mine. But I can't change who I am. And I'm terrible. I was born into this life, and I can't hurt you. It'd kill me." She looked up at him, eyes filed with nothing but pain, tears, and love. An odd combination indeed, but it worked.
@(C) Gong Minji He watched her as she stood up, her words still taking their time to process in his mind. He had had girlfriends before, yes; the male was surprisingly experienced despite how he acted with her-- but he truly had not been expecting this. "Wh-what?" he asked, now even more confused. "Ruin me? Taint me? Minji, what are you talking about? H-how could you do any of those things?" It wasn't making any sense. He knew her as nothing but sweet and loving, how could someone like her possibly inflict any type of harm whatsoever on him?
@(S) Lee Jaehwan She screwed her eyes closed and shook her head, standing from the stool. "A-always." It was love. She knew she was in love. She hadn't had skin ship with another person in months. He was her cuddle buddy, the reason she woke up in the morning, he was where she spent her afternoons and evenings, but her nights were occupied my less than savory business decisions. "I've been in love with you for a long while. But we can't... I don't want to ruin you with what I am." She was tearing up, fists clenched, body trembling. "I will always be here for you, and accept you for your good, bad, and ugly, but I can't taint you with my ugly." She bit her lip.
@(C) Gong Minji He blinked in surprise at the movement of her thumb across his cheek, then followed her hand to his with his eyes. Looking back up at her, he barely frowned. Great, she /did/ have someone she was interested in. He was ready to force himself to drop all feelings for her (as if it were that easy), but then she admitted that it was him. He found himself dumbfounded again, looking at her blankly. It took him a few moments to actually respond. "You.. I.. What?" Did that even count as a response? His thoughts were racing, he couldn't think straight. Why was he like this? His cheeks were red as he looked at her, biting on his lip. "H-have you always felt like this...?"
@(S) Lee Jaehwan Minji bit her lip and released a shuddering breath, at his groan. Her fist clenched beneath the counter. Hold yourself back, girl. He won't want you, once he actually begins to think about all the things you've done. He'll never love you. Remember that. She took her thumb and d his blushing cheek, relishing in the feeling of his hot cheek against her smooth thumb. She held his hand tightly. "I'm thinking about this guy I know. He makes me happy. I come to see him all the time. He makes me feel...in love? Is that what it is?" She felt herself blushing hotly and avoiding his gaze. She needed to tell him. Only then could she free him for real. "It's you. I know you won't catch on so I'm making this easier on both of us."
@(C) Gong Minji He groaned lightly, rubbing his slightly red cheeks. "Don't do this to me, Min," he whined playfully, giving her a little nudge, but he did not deny it. However, something told him he couldn't have her for himself. Whenever he got a little too close, she'd always push him away, and he wasn't sure why.
His cheeks immediately turned a little red when she placed a kiss on his lips, but he had to remind himself that this wasn't a big deal for her. She had always been fond of skinship with him, and he took it as her sign of friendship. If she had wanted him as a boyfriend, wouldn't she have said something?
He couldn't help but smile, nonetheless, biting on his lip as he looked at her-- even though the words "best friend" stung just a little. But he knew this already. What were the chances they'd ever be more than that? "Good," he said, genuinely happy, though, that he made her happy. Leading her back over to the counter, he sat down with her. "What's been going on with you lately? Anything interesting?"
@(S) Lee Jaehwan "Why? So you can have me for yourself?" Her teasing was relentless and never ending. The chuckle that left her lips as she scanned his face to measure what he thought, was quickly halted as she tilted her head. As if she were really curious. "What kind of things?" She gaped at him. She secretly thought he was being serious. She thought he judged her because she was a mafia princess and that was something he knew. She thought he would run from her. "Whatever." She placed her chin on his shoulder and turned his head, giving him a sweet peck. She was always a fan of skinship because she was never really allied to have it. When it was with her Jae, she loved it all the more. She nodded. "I do. You make me happy. You're my best friend."
