@son hyunwoo Tchhh. You say that as if all you are is you're some big ol' caveman or something *lightly nudges your shoulder with my own* You might be a big bear, but you're a big teddy bear as far as I'm concerned. You're much too handsome to be a caveman, though. *smiles softly* And I'm definitely not "designer" like Gucci and Chanel brand, but they're affordable and cute. Maybe I'll have to show you one of these days. *feels my smile grow when I hear you agree to a day at the beach with me* Great! I can't wait-- a day in the sun with a nice guy like you? I don't think I could pick a better way to spend the day. *arrives at the cafe with you and reaches for the door, holding it open for you* After you, Hyunwoo
@son chailee Cave man grunting might fit me, but I like to think I've learned enough English to avoid that /laughs, shaking my head as we walk along/ But that's true - - if you could teach me some English, I'll be able to impress all my members, and it really would come in handy, especially when we're on tour /nods when you talk about your swimwear line, managing to school my face/ I can't say that my swimwear is designer /chuckles/ Wonho is the Taekwondo expert, but I've always loved swimming - - I don't swim competitively now, but I still swim for pleasure, and I even swam on a variety show a few years ago. I think I'll always swim, and I just wish I had more time for it /blinks when you mention Sunday, a smile spreading across my lips/ I think I can find some free time this weekend, and I'd love to spend time on the beach /nods, glancing over at you as we walk, my happiness at spending a day in the sun evident on my face/
@son hyunwoo Who doesn't? You don't wanna have to resort to cave man grunting like-- *lifts a hand up from your arm and points to a space in the air as if it's a menu board and "grunts" dramatically, then points to another space and "grunts" two more times as if to say "and two of that." lets out a silvery laugh and shakes my head* But, hey, think about it this way, with my help, you'll be able to show off and rub it in with how much you've learned and that's the real fun of it all, isn't it? *grins, turning my head to look up at you and sees the flush on your cheeks which causes my smile to only widen* Mhm. Chailee Swimwear. Albeit, the name isn't very creative, but it's also straightforward and to the point, so I've gotta win a couple points there, don't I? *my eyes widen when you say you used to swim competitively* Whoa, really? That's pretty amazing-- I mean, it fits. You do have the body of a swimmer even now. But I also would've pegged you for a Taekwondo or Jiu jitsu kid or something like that too. *hums lightly after you say that you haven't gotten to swim in the ocean for a long time* Hey, are you free Sunday? What do you say to the two of us hitting up the beach and have a day in the sun?
@son chailee I like the idea of being able to order food /laughs, the skin crinkling around my eyes/ But you're right - - Jooheon and Changkyun both speak excellent English, and they've taught me a lot, but I think they get impatient with this slow witted bear sometimes /grins when I think about the sea, my eyes slowly disappearing as my smile grows wider/ Swimwear - - /just saying the word makes my cheeks flush, blinking when you ask me what I'm daydreaming about/ Oh, I used to swim competitively when I was younger, and I love having a swim in the ocean even now - - but it's not something that I've gotten to do for a long time
@son hyunwoo It definitely would come in handy, if nothing else but for you to be able to order food and hold small conversations with the people that you run into. But of course, I'm sure communicating with your fans is your number one priority. A couple of your members speak English though, right? Or at least know enough to help you out from time to time? *nods when you talk about the ocean* Why do you think I'm so tan? I spend a lot of my time at the beach. Plus, I mean, I created a whole swimwear line so I have to at least love the water a little bit, right? *looks up at you with a broad smile and I catch that dreamy look in your eyes* What are you getting all day-dreamy thinking about, hm?
@son chailee /blinks, shaking my head/ No, no, I just misunderstood - - holiday visa should have clued me in that you were traveling as an adult /relaxes when your hand returns to my arm/ I can use all the help I can get with my English. Monsta X travels more and more, and it would come in handy, especially if I could make things easier for my members /smiles when you mention the warm weather/ It must be nice to live near the ocean, and not have to endure really cold weather /my eyes get a little dreamy as I think about swimming in the sea/
@son hyunwoo No, no. I'm sorry if I wasn't very clear. *brings one of my hands up to rub the back of my neck, feeling slightly embarrassed that I misspoke* I've only been In Australia for a few years. I graduated college here in Korea before I went travelling abroad. I've only been in Australia for a few years. But I do think that my English is pretty good. *brings my hand down from my neck and rests it on your arm once more* Well, I wouldn't mind helping you, you know if you wanted. *laughs softly when you ask about the weather* Actually, yes. For the most part, it stays pretty warm. Even in the winter, the coldest it gets is like 10 degrees Celsius. It's much colder here than it is in Sydney during the winter.
@son chailee /my cheeks heat up again when you wink at me, and I curse myself under my breath for being so easily embarrassed/ You've lived in Australia nearly all your life? You must speak English well. I'm trying to learn, but I've got a long way to go /tilts my head, glancing at you/ I know so little about Australia. Is the weather always warm in Sydney?
@son hyunwoo Do pass off my regards to your parents as well; it's only fair they know they picked a good name for their son as well, huh? *winks at you, pealing with light laughter. nods my head at your question* Well, you could say that. I was born here, in Busan actually, but then I moved to Vancouver on a holiday visa, and then from Vancouver, I moved to Sydney and up until now, I've been living there, enjoying the Gold Coast in all its glory
@son chailee /laughs softly, my fist rising to cover my mouth/ I'm sure they'll be thrilled to hear my opinion /moderating my stride to match yours, I nod, glancing around, trying to remember where the nearest cafe is located, looking a little confused when you mention Sydney/ Sydney, Australia? Have you been there?
@son hyunwoo *notices the slight flush of your cheeks, but makes no mention of it for your sake* I'll pass along your kind words to my parents and let them know you think so highly of it. *smiles when you accept my coffee offer and takes your arm when it's offered to me, resting my hands against either side of your forearm. starts to walk in step with you* Mm.. You know, I have to say one of the good things about city life is that there's basically a cafe on every corner, no matter where you go. Downtown Sydney is the same way, honestly
[ I just moved us to the cafe room since it made more sense if that's cool ^^ ]
@park jaebeom I don't know about that— I once got our manager to buy two hamburgers for me because I was starving after practice. /his gaze follows Jay's to the spot, and he manages a small nod and a two- salute from his brow, and a brief word of gratitude before leaving to score the seats./ Sure, I'll go snag it. Thank you, sunbae.
@chu buhan Trust me, you're not that. And never will be. My friends spend a lot more of my money, and on stupid, useless things. Food? Please, I'll spend a lot on food.
(/his eyes scanning the cafe, before locking eyes with a rather comfy looking spot in the back
How about over there?
@park jaebeom I don't want you to spend too much. I mean, I'd rather get to hang out with you again sometime in the future than be known as that one hoobae who overspent his value. /the small gesture elicited a brief, sheepish smile from the younger male, but he soon erased it in favor of gesturing over his shoulder./ Really, that's plenty. I can go grab us a table; where do you like to sit?
@chu buhan Hey like I said, get whatever you'd like. I don't mind it. Order as much as you want!
(/patting the man on his shoulder, he puts in his order for himself, and the other man, peeking back at him
Anything else? Really, you can order more I don't mind.
@park jaebeom Sounds like you're a real fun guy, sunbae. I'm sure you and your friends must have a blast. /he inclined his head thoughtfully, dragging his bottom lip through his teeth and carefully considering his order when he wasn't paying for himself./ Is honey bread okay? And a small iced Americano? Or is that too much...
@chu buhan Probably most sunbaes, but I'm not the fancy type. I'd rather bowl and eat chicken as opposed to like the usual sunbae.
(/smiling rather softly, he glances over to him, titling his head to the side
What are you gonna get? I'll go order and pay for us.
@park jaebeom Really? I figured sunbaes must dine on caviar and champagne. /as he followed after the older man, he lifted a hand to the side of his neck to anxiously rub the heel of his hand at a spot that otherwise wouldn't bother him; he figured it was better not to press it./ Oh, it looks like they have honey bread.
@chu buhan No no, my palate isn't that refined. I enjoy mostly junk food to be honest. Tacos, chicken, stuff like that yanno?
(/a soft chuckle escapes his lips as he walks inside, his eyes glancing up at the menu, scanning through the many options
@park jaebeom Thanks, sunbae. /he matched the older man's smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners, before stepping through the open door and placing a hand at the inside edge to hold it open for his senior./ I didn't really even ask if cafe food is okay— your palate is probably more refined than this.
@park jaebeom Yeah, this is the one. /he nods, dipping his head briefly as he tries to glance through the windowed facade at the crowd inside./ Is this still okay with you? It looks a little bit... busy.
