@jieqiong z。princess kaguya Taekwoon... hadn't exactly been having a good time of, well, life. Not long after he'd last seen the woman the man had had a rather traumatising experience. You see, he'd done his usual, close up the flower shop and then headed to his second job as a host, funny yes, a man like himself who constantly seemed to aloof or uninterested in most people being a host- Well a lot of people liked that personality type and flocked to him, doing all they could for a slither of his attention, his faux affection, whatever raked in the money and kept the hours of the day ticking by without much thought needed. But then after what had begun as one of those nights, Taekwoon's life had taken a sharp turn for the worst when he was unable to remember much of the rest of the evening after leaving the host club.
When he had awoken he almost wished he'd hadn't and he'd thought he was perhaps dreaming for sure. He'd awoken on the beach of all places, the waves washing up against his face and nudging him awake before he had pushed himself up to the sight he wished to never remember. But of course he did, and even as Jieqiong had called out to him in the shop where he'd been staring at the same packets on the same shelf in the same aisle for the last fifteen minutes, he was completely out of it and remembering the sheer amount of blood he'd found on himself. That part of Taekwoon that had been forgotten so long ago was refusing to remain in the dark, leaving hints behind, even ones as gruesome as the sights he'd woken up to, to shake him to his core until things began ticking in his mind, forcing him to try and remember.
No amount of anything could wash away that amount of blood, not completely, not even the sea had managed no matter how many times her waves washed up against poor Taekwoon. So after that night, and the several more that soon had happened not long after, he was left closing himself off from one of the only people he cared about, Jieqiong, terrified that she should somehow be dragged into this mess and he refused to have that. But he missed her so much... she was the one person who could understand Taekwoon and he didn't need to waste words on her, the simplest of looks and she always seemed to know just what to do to ease him further.
Now as he turned and saw her, the one person he'd be bothered enough to actually protect, his usually sharp and narrow eyes widened and for a small moment Taekwoon even managed a smile. His lips parted as if he wanted to say her name but he stopped himself just before he could, perhaps her name, a small hello? To scream at her to stay away from him... yeah, he'd love to do that. But he had no heart to, just like he didn't have the strength to admit just how much he had missed her too, though something told him that perhaps she could see it if she looked into those lost, tormented eyes of his.
"Busy," He began in response, Jieqiong asking him how he'd been and seemingly overjoyed to actually see him as well. Would she still be if she knew what things he'd seen? What he dreaded he had done?
"Just very, very busy." He explained, his eyes flashing with a look of apology but it wasn't for his disappearance, but for the fact someone as sweet as Jieqiong had had to meet someone like him in the first place.
"How have you been?" Taekwoon asked in that soothingly soft voice of his, his head tilted down as he peered at the young woman, searching her eyes and picking up almost immediately that even though she was smiling now, she perhaps didn't look at peace. Something was bothering her.
"Is something wrong? Your eyes, they... hold within them something close to contempt and resentment. What is it?" Perhaps it was how close they'd gotten to one another that they could read each other like that, unnerving sometimes and would prove very trying for Taekwoon to keep his troubled nights a secret that little bit longer.
@taekwoon j。kumiho on her way toward the convenience store, she skipped and twirled through the sidewalks of town. she hummed to some beat she’d heard from the radio this morning and a smile smooched over her delicate features. she had a great slumber, an awesome breakfast, and the flower shop today was going smooth. her task today was to buy missing ingredients for a cheesecake she planned to bake for her neighbors and the “business mates” that worked close to her flower shop. it was something she did once in a while to show her appreciation toward those around her even though her friends teased jieqiong for just being born extra.
arriving to the convenience store, she took out her list of ingredients from her favorite drawstring but noted that another paper fell out. realizing what the paper was about, her mood dropped from 100 to 0. yes, she forgot that she was expecting a suitor tonight for dinner and that her mom sent her a list of ingredients herself for the dinner. apparently mother was making something special. the lady swore and prayed that this night was the night jieqiong would find the love of her life and marry and have six children and live happily ever after. yet jieqiong begged to differ her mom’s nonsense babbling. most of the men her parents paired her up with were men of great professional titles and there was nothing wrong about that yet these men tended to be rather prideful. stuck up. pride was a trait jieqiong despised most. and so, from what had started as sunshine and butterflies was now concluded that today was one of “those” boring, dull days where she barely had time for socializing. she would have to prepare herself for a night of “magic” or whatever her mom gushed over.
as she entered the store she grabbed a basket and went directly to what she needed to search for. she wasn’t twirling. heck, not even humming. this confused a little the store’s owner but he went along with whatever he was reading on the local newspaper. remembering such an event irked the lass. it was not long until she noticed a familiar, tall figure right across her by the end of the aisle. slowly her mood lifted and at first she was rather doubtful to call the male. it took her a few more glances for her to finally call out to the male. “hey, taekwoon!” but then she made up her mind that approaching him in person would be ten times better. and so she lightly jogged toward him, her boots squeaking through the floors. “oh my gosh, i missed you.” she squeaked herself and gently tapped his shoulder once she was close to him. she tried to maintain her composure.
this time her smile beamed brighter as the memories shared with the male replayed in her head. taekwoon was a big brother to her and not anyone could say that about the mysterious man. the male’s demeanors were rather aloof to many. not many understood his ways but jieqiong did. well, let’s face it, jieqiong was one to not judge easily. in fact, she believed that everyone had a reason for being how they were. most of the time people were as so because it was simply their personality but other times it was because of past times that scarred them. either way, jieqiong didn’t care therefore it was easy for her to become close to the male. not only that, but the two occassionally helped one another with their shops whenever one shop was packed, or whenever there were issues receiving the goods from the trucks. little things like these slowly developed their relationship. they would also hangout outside of work. taekwoon—aside from her suitors—was even given permission by her parents to take her out to places and have fun. of course, under a curfew. in sum, taekwoon was her best friend. someone she trusted wholeheartedly.
“how’ve you been, you geaser?! you, like, disappeared and now you’re here!”
rain. it reminded him too much of his family. and with nothing in the fridge for his late dinner, his irritation would naturally grow. the automatic doors slid open to welcome a darkened figure, hood up with a pair of arms hanging loosely in the pockets of the light sweater. he was absolutely drenched, but he didn't care. all he wanted was to get some food and call it a night. with heavy steps of his boots, he walked over to an aisle with a basket and automatically filled it with ramen, junk food, and drinks. within seconds, he felt content with his selection and off he went to the cashier. he slipped-off his hood and exposed his sun-kissed skin and drenched tips of his hair. he wiped at his face silently but dropped the basket on the counter with a loud clank.
@jongin k。hachiman The clock is ticking on the wall with its short hand pointing at 9 and its long hand at 12. The night is quite and serene. Added with the pitter patter from the rain outside. Samuel sit behind the cashier counter peacefully reading a novel. He is alone tonight as his co-worker had left for an emergency matter. Not that he mind since they already clean up the stuff and they don't really expect there's going to be much people going out in the rain. Samuel glance at the clock before hums a tune as his attention divert back to his book. "One more hour to go~" The tranquility is something that he appreciate very much after his hectic schedule from schools. He have finish up his assignments and he deserves this. It would be bad luck if something were to break it, right?
