@β Choi Minho Upon seeing no near end to their conversation, he decides to lower his book back down to his side, but not before sending a final look over at the cover, a fond smile played upon cherry brims. With his head lifting to have his gaze meet with the Beta's, he makes for a nervous shuffle of his feet, having not engaged in a topic about the books he's ever read before in his lifetime. It's rare to find someone who shares a common interest, let alone someone who's willing to listen to his constant squabbles about the various stories he's come across.

"It's a fantasy novel. It's really perculiar but extremely engaging. I've never read something of fiction that's written in such subtle yet explicit detail." He raises the book, front faced towards the other as he flashes a faint smile. He just can't help but feel a constant wave of excitement bubbling from within when discussing matters of his interest. "Harry Potter. A classic."

@✧ Park Jisung It was the gentle whimper that had Minho’s gaze softening, but the apology was enough to have his hard stance falter. “The point wasn’t the game, Jisung. Do you know what time it is?” he questioned the younger. He ran his fingers through his hair, messing up the strands further. “I told you to be home in time for dinner.” He gazed at the younger’s face, trying to see if he really understood why he was so mad.

“I know you want to be more independent, but you have to understand that if you are not home in time I get anxious and worry about you.” He reached out to take a leaf out that was tangled within the pup’s soft hair. “I care about you and when I say be home by dinner, you need to be home by dinner--not an hour after.” Now that he had gotten the leaf out, Minho couldn’t help but fuss more over him. “And hiding in the tree? What if you got hurt? There are plenty of places to hide on the ground.”

@β Choi Minho Jisung would say he wasn't afraid, but the only thing that scared him, was Minho when he was mad. Come to think of it, he even shivered as soon as Minho's hand landed on the tree. Shivering lightly, he tried not to give himself away, but the branch cracked, and he jumped slightly.

Jisung would be lying if he said that he didn't whimper because of Minho's tone. Softly whimpering, he jumped down, ashamed enough to not look Minho in the eyes, despite being slightly shorter. "I'm sorry." Softly, almost too soft, Jisung whispered. "it was just a game of hide and seek." His grey eyes flickered around to see if any of his friends were planning on helping him. Nope, it turns out every one of the other pups had ditched him.

@✧ Park Jisung Minho’s worry almost escalated from a seven to a ten when he still had not been able to find Jisung. However, noticing a pup playing hide and seek was quick to calm him back down to a six at the very least. If there was anything he knew about Jisung, it was that he liked playing and when he played, he played well. Narrowing his russet eyes, the beta scanned the area and took note of every hiding place available.

The rustle of leaves had his chin snapping up. Catching sight of the teen, he took a deep breath in. He held it for a few seconds before letting the air escape to bring his displeasure down. “Park Jisung,” he stated the pup’s full name to show him just how upset he was. “Come down here. Right now.” He pressed his hand against the bark of the tree trunk, leaning closer to get a good look at him.

@ω Bang Yongguk The tugging on his pant leg had him glancing down at the small child. His lips twitched mischievously and booped the pup on his button nose. “You’re it. No backsies!” He quickly added when Jae tried to tag him back. Letting out a loud laugh while watching him run after his friends, Minho turned his attention back to the omega. “It’s a pleasure to meet you too. You seemed really into that book you have there. What are you reading?”

Whenever catching someone with a book in hand, Minho had a habit of approaching them. There was a curiosity blooming within him at the sight of every hardcover. Adventure, romance, horror--there were just a variety of never ending options of what the person could be reading. And as an avid reader, Minho was always looking for a new story to get his hands onto.

@β Choi Minho He wasn't troubled by the situation at all, given that he hasn't suffered a single pinch of pain from the event, but the adorable apology made by the pup makes him believe that it was indeed necessary. Anything to hear something that precious come out of the child.

In a form of respect, he shuts his book, but not before making a quick mental note of where he had left off. Extending an arm forward, he accepts the beta's hand in a firm handshake, lips curved for a warm simper. "It's nothing to worry about. I'm Yongguk. It's a pleasure to meet you, Minho."

@β Choi Minho Jisung just knew Minho would worry, but honestly, did he care? Not really, even if a tiny part of his brain said yes. He'd been playing with the other pups, playing tag and the such. Currently they were playing hide and seek which meant that he was definitely hiding in the trees, his hair already slightly a mess.

Watching the others play, he smiled softly, slightly proud of the younger ones, even if he was one of the younger ones, he took care of them. Especially since he knew what it felt like to be alone, before Minho took him in, he always watched out for the pups. Noticing Minho storm into the clearing above the trees, he moved the tree's branches from above.

Even though he didn't want Minho to actually find him.

@ω Bang Yongguk Seeing the man’s lips curve into a smile, Minho felt his shoulders relax completely. Placing the small boy down and crouching to the teeny height, the beta worked his long fingers through the messy strands. “Yes, they seem to have grown to love the game quite a lot.” He grabbed the boy’s tiny shoulders, pivoting him just slight to have his full attention. “But what we need to remember is to watch where we are going. Always look ahead, never behind. Now what do you say to this kind man, Jae?”

Minho’s lips curled into a proud smile at the sincere apology. Finally standing up to his full length, Minho ed his hand out for the omega to take. “I am really sorry about that as well. I’m Minho.”

@✧ Park Jisung With brown strands a disarray, cheeks a tint of rose, and teeth gnawing on the skin of the soft lower lip; Minho was sure he looked like a complete mess from the looks received as he breezed passed those walking by in the evening. Although part of him wanted to stop in his tracks to throw a look back at the judging eyes, finding Jisung was imperative.

Even though Minho was not Jisung’s actual parent and being fairly young himself when taking the pup under his wing, the beta still felt the same urgency as any caretaker would. He felt his stomach growing in knots. Every single worry twisted within his gut, becoming an impossible tangle. The only words that echoed within his mind were: Jisung, Unsafe.

He needed to find him.

@β Choi Minho The sudden call startles him, and he's forced to take a momentary break from his book, head snapping up to meet with the source. Upon taking notice of the beta, he blinks, brain spiralling into a mass on confusion as he attempts to make out of the situation.

The breathless pup is just about all he needed to figure it all out, the thought prompting a fond smile onto his lips as he returns his attention on the tall male. "All thanks to you, I am." His head turns briefly, quick to spot a group of children huddled around a bend, watching them. "A game of tag?"

@ω Bang Yongguk Russet eyes crinkled, pink lips twitching into a smile while watching the children run around. It wasn’t until a small hand touched his shoulder that Minho found himself being dragged into a game of tag. With a warm heart and light chuckle, the beta stretched out his long legs from the position he had been sitting in. “Here I come!” With a quick roll, Minho was off the floor and chasing after the screaming pups.

Keeping his pace to a slow jog, Minho pretended to be offended when the kids for being slow. “Yah. I’m old! Be nice to me!” He huffed and pouted, making a chorus of laughter escape them. “Ha! I distracted you.” He ran towards them, causing screams of glee whilst they dispersed.

Quickly noticing one of the pups running towards a wandering omega, Minho picked up his pace. “Watch out!” Swiftly catching up before the boy could collide with the man, he picked the small child up just in the nick of time. He let out a breath of relief with the pup in his arms and the other male in one piece. “Are you alright?”

@β Choi Minho There was something about the constant chattering that soothes him, coaxing him into a state of complete relaxation as he takes a leisure stroll through the village. He inhales deeply, allowing the heavy aroma of earth and pastries to fill his lungs. The scent prompts an unflattering grumble from the omega, and he only hopes that no one heard it, considering how he's just had a whole bun consumed just minutes before. His cravings are just really strong.

Bang Yongguk's an avid lover of sweets, after all.

As he neared the village square, a line of children, likely omegas, come dashing past him, one of them halting briefly to offer him a quick wave. He returns it with a friendly smile before watching as the little boy chases after his group of friends. Youth. How he misses it greatly. There were hardly any worries, neither was there the constant fear about when his heat was going to strike next. It was great while it lasted, and now he's a full grown omega, wandering around the village with a book constantly held within his grasp. It's like a routine for him at this point, though he never seems to tire of it, wearing on a look of pure content as he flickers his gaze towards the pages of his book, steps slow as he aimlessly makes his way through the familiar lanes of the lively village.

@β Oh Sehun ZiTao gasped when the male grabbed onto his wrists, but the omega shook him out of his hold. His hold was weak enough for even the runts if the pack to get him off of. The omega sighed softly before his lips and placing another rag over the beta’s eyes, helping his vision clear up. ZiTao placed the bloody rag in the water. “My name is ZiTao. I’m not a healer, but I’ve helped out the healer every now and then to know how to clean a wound.” The omega told the beta as he grabbed the ointment and started to place it around the worse spots where he saw that needed the special treatment. “If you try to move, your going to do more damage to your shoulder. I’m trying to help you out.” ZiTao mumbled before grabbing the gauze and scissors and started to cut the gauze of the pieces that he didn’t need. He took the rag off of his eyes before looking at the beta with gentle eyes and biting his lower lip. “What’s your name?” Zitao asked the nameless beta that he was taking care of, hoping he would form a connection with the male.

@ω Zi Tao The pack never really was exposed to danger. With what, being hidden in the middle of a miles-wide canopy of trees and protected by highly skilled versatile wolves, what could possibly harm the village? Nonetheless, it didn't mean that the pack was safe from all forms of peril. Just earlier, Sehun encountered four rogues whilst he was securing the perimeter. It was an easy fight to be honest (if it just wasn't for the fact that he was heavily outnumbered by clearly skilled bandits) but unfortunately they left him a deep claw gash running from his shoulder to his chest. Calling the younger warriors, he gave them the task to clean the scene and resume his supposed duty to overlook the perimeter. As Sehun was walking back his hut to seek rest, he wondered why his wound wasn't healing as it supposed to. Did they inflict silver--? Next thing, he knew he was in an unfamiliar house. A burning sensation ran through his wound which made him groan, thankfully, it lasted only a few seconds. "Who are you?" he asked in his infamous deep voice as his vision still failed him to give him a clear view of the physician. Using what's left of his might, he reached over to hold the latter's wrist and prevent him from further touching him though he knew it was useless because of how loose his grip was.

@β Oh Sehun It was just a normal day. The sun was peaking through the clouds after the storm had passed, the smell of wet grass filled his nose. He loved the smell. It was just a fresh new start for him but he didn’t know why. The young omega was out and about getting fruits and meat from the market before he smelt something that made him almost vomit on everyone. He always had a strong scent when it came to something like that and he tilted his head to the side before making his purchase and asking the seller if he can come back for the food later. He just needed to figure out where that scent is coming from. As he wandered around the forest to figure out where the scent is from, he saw a beta with a gash on his shoulder and laying on the grass. He ran over to the male before helping him up and biting his lower lip when the male started to moan in pain. The omega quickly brought the beta to his house, hoping that he had all the materials he needed to be able to heal the beta. Once in his house, ZiTao placed the male on his couch before grabbing a towel and putting it on the wound. The young omega sighed deeply before his eyes widened when he heard the beta groaning. ZiTao quickly got up and went to the kitchen, grabbing a bucket of water and another rag as well as bandages and some medicine, hoping it was enough to help the male. When he got to the couch, ZiTao carefully lifted up the beta’s shirt and started to clean off the blood that was across his skin. When he saw the beta’s eyes opening, the omega sighed softly and his lips. “Don’t move too much.” ZiTao told him with a soft voice as he continued to wipe the blood.

/i tousle the little alpha's hair and gesture for him to run to the field. he beams with his two missing teeth and jumps around before asking what is first./

"uhh... no?" /i laugh and flash a large smile before getting into a firm stance. my toes sink into the Earth and I breathe deeply before ing my arm forward. i punch the tree squarely in the center where a knot had begun to cave in. the tree quaked and moaned before emitting a vulgar snapping sound./
Here goes! /I grin at the boy who is watching with wide eyes, and surely enough, the old tree snapped at the point of impact and fell over with a 'whoomp.'/ "why did you do that?"
I'm glad you asked! This tree is healthy enough to keep growing for a long time, but this disease inside the tree hollowed it and began to eat it away. /I point out the decayed bark and continue/ We'll give this tree lots of water and the broken limbs will eventually grow back below that infected area.
/i gesture for him to follow me again, and lead him to another tree. i point at the plagued area on the trunk. a... small... epidemic of illness to the plants went unnoticed by most others, but i spent a lot of time on the border of the forest where the trees were afflicted./
The point of being able to break the tree is to be firm, resolute, immovable. like a rock. like a tree. there's a good stance for remaining on your feet no matter what hits you, and i'll show you.
/i reluctantly hand him a thick pair of beginner's boxing gloves. They weren't the ugly, big, red things-- just simple and effective ones for our kind. he slides them on and looks up at me/
you don't have to hit the tree right now if you don't want to, but when you do, use those. the bark can leave nasty splinters, even with your awesome-abilities. /the child laughs before settling into the stance i demonstrated. i show him a few good strengthening techniques before giving him an hour to practice on his own./

/i circle the outer edge and conclude the woods are safe enough, then head toward the village. Outside the Omega's hut, a good ten yards into the field, a lone wolf sat./

/i whisper to myself while i smell him from my far vantage point. my training certainly paid off, for i discovered he was someone i hadn't met before, and he was an omega. i jogged over to him, slowing ten feet away. i didn't move any closer after smelling the emotions resonating from him, but instead gave a bow./
