1. What is an alpha's rut? - An alpha's rut is kind of like an omega's heat. But instead of the slick and all the neediness to get filled, they have the need to mount something and hump away. It happens once every two months, just like omegas in heat and even has it's own special room so that the scent of a rut will not send any omegas into heat. A rut can only occur after an alpha's 18th birthday as they have not had the coming of age ceremony yet which is important to all alphas. When an alpha is it rut, they cannot claim a mate without the Elders permission, otherwise there will be dire conciquences (please read the room titled "MATES" in "ALL INFO") The whole pack knows how to handle ruts even if your muse doesn't. There will be no wolves trying to pounce on a rutting alpha and no alphas trying to pounce on any other wolf. Again, this is 2018 and no regular pack, there are some alphas who like to bottom instead of top, for those alphas, they will have the need to be filled with something but they will not produce slick or be ready to do it straight away like some omegas are capable of. It makes them , not ready to go straight at it, that would hurt.
