WATERFALL

'Such soft roots, warm sun, fresh air- I could rest like this all day.' He thought to himself while reveling in nature's blossoming season, and when he cracked open an eye he glimpsed the omega gazing at him. He shut his eyelid again and continued to laze-- he was quite fond of being admired-- aware of the other's curiosity. He didn't move, nor did he speak for a good five or six minutes whilst the other made himself comfortable within the pages of his book. While feigning a peaceful slumber the alpha was able to absorb the other's scent, and get to know him a little without even speaking.

A wary, anxious omega who has little tolerance for alphas- that's what Chanyeol was reading. So when he stretched his arms, yawned and flashed a smile, he decided to keep his demure façade going. "Good morning," he called through a genuine yawn. "Never caught your name. What was it?" His head tilted childishly.

@✧ Jung Daehyun Holding a hand out to block the sun from hitting his eyes, Minho was taken back in awe with the way light gleamed off the waterfall. It made the liquid seem majestic in a natural way. He kind of wanted to skim his hand across the liquid or try to see how a rock looked skipping along the beauty. With that thought in mind, the beta began looking for a small rock. “Ah…” he made a small noise when finding the perfect one sitting near another male. “Um, hi,” he smiled sheepishly before pointing at the smooth pebble. “May I take this?”

@β Choi Minho Daehyun had wanted to take a trip to the waterfall that lied deep in the forest for a long time. He was finally now getting to it, and couldn’t be happier. Setting down his small bag filled with necessities, he glanced around at the scenery and smiled as he inhaled the fresh air. “Perfect.” He said to himself and then spread out the blue, fuzzy blanket on the grass under a tall tree. He plopped down and sat cross-legged, simply listening to the sounds of the foliage and birds around him.

@α Park Chanyeol The question strikes him as odd, but it gets the clockwork in his head moving nonetheles. He's left deep in thought, pondering over a likely response as he struggles to return his focus on his book entirely, only to no avail. Eventually, he abandons the thought of ever reveling in the contents of the book once again, instead spending the remainder of his time crafting up a possible response to the question.

Whether or not an answer was expected, he can't be sure, but he finds that it'd be rude if he wasn't to do so much as to acknowledge the Alpha's words. Thus, the instant he has a response roughly lined out, he lifts his head towards the taller male, lips parted with the clear intention to speak before he shuts them quickly. It would seem that the Alpha's resting, and obviously he wouldn't want to interrupt it in any sort of way. He did find himself staring an awful lot, though, particularly intrigued by the perculiar scent of the male, nose wrinkling as he sounds out a thoughtful hum.

@ω Bang Yongguk Chanyeol was granted permission by the smaller wolf to enter the rooted sanctuary, so he climbed in through the small opening and sat cross-legged in the makeshift lounger. He gave a bright smile, closed his eyes and tilted his head, reminiscent of his infamous puppy-like wolf form. Alpha though he was, he also considered himself an overgrown child.

"If one never lets go of youth, do they ever truly die?" He asked this aloud, mostly to himself, also to the omega; this was a member of his pack that he didn't know. Now was his chance to get to know them. He let the silence fall again before sighing happily and leaning into the comforting tree. His tired eyes shut and he began to doze, reveling in the warm rays of sun creeping in with the setting sun..

@α Park Chanyeol The earthy aroma served as a source of comfort, filling him with heaps of content as he spirals into a state of complete tranquility. Dull, chestnut optics remain transfixed on the pages of a fictional novel held loosely within his grasp, fingers idly running along the blunt edges as he allows himself to be thoroughly engaged with the contents of the book. The story was enthralling to say the least, but to read for a prolonged period of time would cause his vision to go all blurry, and it is at times like these does he will himself to tear his gaze away from the pages, instead shifting his stare towards the wonderous sights of nature that surrounds him. Despite having done this countless of times, he never tires of the routine. He finds that he quite enjoys his time in peace.

It was then a sudden rustle catches his ultimate attention, and he's lifting his head to greet the source of the sound. An Alpha. The sight baffles him momentarily before he instantly goes tense, eyes brimming with caution as he monitors the stranger's every move, hands frozen in place. When asked the question, he's highly tempted to respond with a firm 'Yes', but decides that doing so wouldn't be reasonable, given that he doesn't exactly own the place. Thus, he makes a small gestures towards the empty spot, signalling for the male to take a seat.

@ω Bang Yongguk The damp air with rainbow mist filled his lungs and fueled his jog. The crest of the hill where the falls splashed down, always waved a rainbow proudly, vivid and endless; he changed course to the best hideout near the falls. Tucked across a steep span of dense forest and rock, only a few souls knew this place existed. A massive, water-worn stone hung conveniently over a nest-like cove in ancient tree roots. Over the course of decades the trunks and roots were molded by visitors to form two comfortable couches.

When he hoisted himself into the tree and climbed the sturdy branches, he was shocked to see that he wasn't alone. An omega (judging by his smell) sat cross-legged in the furthest tree-chair with a large book in hand. His head jerked up and met Chanyeol's eyes, and the alpha promptly responded with a bow. "Excuse me," he muttered with a series of bows. "I didn't think anyone else knew this place was here." He rubbed his nape and sniffed at the air to sense the other's emotion. He had brief glimpses of fear and anxiety, and confusion, but there was no hostility. Chanyeol settled against the ttree behind him and folded hiis hands behind him. "Do you mind if I join you?"
