the woods
be careful about where you go. it's always dark and treacherous in these woods - you never know who's waiting behind the thousands of thick tree trunks all over the forest. occasionally, you'll see a lost soul ripe for collecting or for eating or for enslaving, but there's a darkness in these woods that no one has yet to understand. are you willing to risk it?

sujin couldn't help but stare at her boss in awe - there was something about his rage, his anger, his violence that was absolutely captivating - no wonder he was the prince of wrath. she inched closer to him, hanging on to his every word and every instruction that left his lips. there was something oddly exciting about the whole situation - whether or not her methods of torture and murder would be satisfactory for the wrathful prince. a smile played at the corners of her lips as she spoke, the rush of excitement and an oddly placed feeling of arousal warming the pit of her stomach. "of course, sir," she all but whispered, suppressing a shiver as she let the implications of what would happen if she disappointed him sink in. this was a life or death situation, not only for the demon pinned to the tree, but for sujin as well - and strangely enough, she loved this feeling.

she moved closer to the demon, who growled at her proximity like a rabid dog, and she snorted. truly, this demon was pathetic, and ridding hell of his presence would certainly be a good thing. "you should have just gone to work like the rest of us," she murmured, clutching both sides of the demon's face, her grip harsh and tight. sujin eyed him - specifically his teeth - sharp and long and definitely something that could hurt her if he tried hard enough. clicking her tongue, the female pried open his mouth, wide enough to stick her fingers to the backs of the demon's teeth. a moment later, she pulled hard, ripping the bottom row of teeth from his mouth and taking pride in the way he squealed helplessly, like a pig being slaughtered. blood dripped from her fingers, his teeth clattering to the ground, but she needed to hear more of this lowlife's screams. humming softly, she repeated the process, this time pressing her fingers against the upper row of teeth and ripping them out once again. there we go - now he couldn't bite her.

now that the pesky teeth were out of the way, sujin brought her finger to her lips, swirling her tongue around the digit as she let the salty taste of blood overwhelm her senses. she shut her eyes for a brief moment, basking in the pained, pathetic blubbering noises that left the demon's lips. humming once again, sujin stepped closer to the now quivering demon, a small pout playing at her lips. he only needed one eye to see, didn't he? she brought her thumb up to his face, before digging it deep into the demon's socket. she /pushed/, and not a moment later, there was a sickening mix between a squelch and a popping noise - the demon's eyeball now lay in her outstretched palm, twitching as if in tune with the tortured demon's screams. a giddy, ecstatic smile on her face, sujin turned back to yanan, holding the eyeball in between her fingers and waving it in his direction. "look sir," she giggled. "i've got an eye on you!" it was a dumb joke, dumb enough to be killed for, but she couldn't help the glee that filled her entire being - she was always overjoyed when her ears were blessed with screams of pain.

the demoness turned back to the matter at hand, dropping the eyeball to the floor as her nails lengthened into makeshift knives. with one firm slice, she made a long cut down his torso, blood painting the demon's skin as she pulled both sides of the wound apart, exposing his organs to the cool air. grinning, sujin pushed her hand inside the demon's guts and grasped onto something - she didn't know what it was, nor did she care - but she ripped apart his organs, the warmth of his insides bringing an insane, gleeful grin to her lips. the demon's howls were deafening now, and she was glad that it wasn't easy to kill a demon - it just meant more torture for her, and more of those beautiful, pained screams that sujin couldn't seem to get enough of.

@〈 jo kwangmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ there was something strange, something different with the way his brother was acting. the twins had always been affectionate with each other, especially when they were together. after a long, long day at work, coming back to see one or the other waiting at home, was youngmin's favorite. that was a small paradise he had found amidst this hell that the two of them stayed at, and it was something that he found himself craving more and more for each day that passed. he wondered if it was simply just too much to ask for peace in their lives, as it seemed as though fate had not thought of granting such a simple wish.

his body tensed a little when he felt the other's arms snake around his waist, unsure of what he was expecting as a response but it was definitely not this. the unfamiliar look in kwangmin's eyes made his heart sink with weight, fear creeping inside it as he could not even start to read what was inside his brother's mind. at the contact of his twin's lips against his skin, his neck, he shivered, his hands flying to the younger's shoulders. "kwangmin," he breathed out. kwangmin had never been this. . . open with his affections, for the lack of better words. "what are you doing?" his voice was almost a whisper, light and feathery.

what was happening? with each kiss placed upon his rather delicate skin, from his neck, up to his cheeks, he felt anxiety eat his hear bit by bit as each second passed by. his twin brother was acting weird, and the older was not sure with how he was supposed to act toward the other being. . . like this. "i love you," kwangmin had said, and youngmin felt another shudder down his spine - whether it was from his words, his voice, or his lips, youngmin was not quite sure. "i can't live without you."

youngmin breathed deeply. "i'm here," he said, perhaps an attempt to reassure his twin. he still had no idea what had happened to the younger. the latter's hair tickled his jaw, and in instinct, he tried to move his head away, the action giving his sibling more access to his neck. "i'll always be here." another promise. he wondered what was going on in kwangmin's mind right then, as he did such actions that someone would not usually do to their sibling. "i won't leave you." this felt almost like a dangerous area, like the two of them were dancing on a line that could very well change their future together. truthfully, youngmin had never felt terrified of his brother before, but with the way kwangmin was acting right then, youngmin's heart was squeezed with fear of unknowingly losing the only one he did not want to let go of.
〈 jo kwangmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ [A] 6 years ago
@〈 jo youngmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ the silence that followed kwangmin's sudden declaration was almost deafening, and he couldn't help the way his cheeks heated ever so slightly. youngmin was clearly surprised - and why wouldn't he be? something so sudden as words that usually remained unspoken would stun him to silence, as well. he was glad it was dark - it was much easier to hide the way he stiffened after uttering those words, to hide the deep fondness that he held for his brother at this moment.

he didn't want to look at the elder right now - no doubt, he was hurting, and it was all his fault. none of this would have ever happened had he not been cursed with the misfortune of existing as a burden on his brother. he didn't want to hear, or see, or feel anything; all he wanted was to shut his eyes and dream of a better time. except, for the two of them, there was no better time. their whole life had been misfortune and suffering, the only happy moments that they had together being the ones where they'd drift off to sleep in each other's arms. he wanted to sleep right now - in the comfort of his brother, but there was no doubt that odd feeling in the pit of his stomach would persist.

he nearly ripped his arm away from the elder's clutch, but something in him told him to stop, and to face youngmin with an unreadable stare. he stepped closer, as if on autopilot, wrapping his arms around the slightly taller male's waist. his mind was blank, the only thing he could register being his brother's scent, so dizzy and so overpowering that kwangmin had to suppress a shiver. he leaned forward, lips brushing against the soft skin of his brother's neck as he murmured softly. "you're what's wrong," he breathed. "i'm what's wrong."

looking up at youngmin, his eyes glazed, body feeling light and airy and almost non-existent, the younger began to press his lips against the expanse of his brother's exposed skin - his neck, his jaw, his cheeks. he could barely register anything that was happening; all he knew was that he liked the feeling of having his brother so close to him, so soft and breakable underneath his touch. "hyung," he murmured, voice as soft as the weight of his lips against bare skin. "i love you," he repeated, teeth grazing against the other's neck. "i can't live without you."

the prince of darkness notes the enthusiasm that accompanies both the younger's words and actions, a hum of contentment touching at his lips in approval of her presented attitude towards the commencement of the hunt. the once rhythmic palpitations of his heart that were melodious and calm were soon replaced by dissonance - adrenaline, and excitement, seeping into his bloodstreams, sending him into a frenzy. the bestial howls resonating through the woods signals the male of their successful apprehension of the demon now comes the fun part, the disposal of the aforementioned demon.
a devilish grin blooms upon his countenance, one that almost split his features in half, grinning from ear to ear, finding the whole situation, downright blissful.

the tranquility that came with the two demons trudging along in the direction of the deserter was soon compromised by Yanan, his voice both coarse and strained thundering out from the depths of his stomach as he sets his eyes on the forlorn figure, halting his steps atop a tree that was within a stone away from the captive demon."did you really think you could run from us? how ing pathetic, you don't even deserve to be within my line of sight". his eyes glazes over, pools of obsidian gracing his visage in its steed as he channels his prowess, commanding the hellfire to shoot out from the depths of the ground and encircle the lesser demon's frame. he turns his attention towards sujin, using the two of his finger to motion for the younger to lessen the distance between their frames. "I want you to make him suffer, make him regret his every decision, let his screams of agony accompany the bloody rain that will soon grace us as you cut into his body." his voice trails off as he uses the turbulent flames to pin the demon's body against an aged tree trunk." if for whatever reason, I feel that your end result is unsatisfactory, I'll ensure that you'll share the same fate as him, and I'll make an example out of you. it would truly be a shame to hurt this pretty face of yours, do not disappoint me. do we understand each other, ms sujin?". there was a teasing glint to his voice, wanting nothing more for his employee to live up to the legacy that he had started. for now, she was disposable, merely a pawn he can toss aside, this was her chance to prove herself to him, and earn her place within his ranks.

@〈 jo kwangmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ surprised at the sudden declaration, youngmin could only blink and stare at the younger for a full moment. there was something in the silence that had fallen between them after those three words. he rarely heard those words from the other, as it was not something that they spoke of often, because it was something that the two of them were extremely aware of - the fact that they were still together even until now despite everything was a proof of it. but when one of them did say it, it was sincere, yes, but it was usually when they could not handle anything anymore, and they just had to say it. for youngmin, it served as a symbol that he was still here with his brother. he was still quite uncertain with what the action of speaking those three words meant to his twin, but it was of no matter.

something was so obviously bothering the male, and youngmin wanted to know. what was with that look? why did kwangmin look at him with such eyes? it reminded him of the few times he had seen his brother show such an emotion in those orbs. it screamed fear, and youngmin's heart sank at the thought of his own brother being terrified at him - him, of all people. he could not think of any reason as to why kwangmin would feel fear toward him. before he could open his mouth to say those three words back, both as an attempt to reassure the other and as to put what he truly felt into words, reaching a hand out toward the other, kwangmin had already walked away from him.

"kwangmin, wait!" he said, immediately moving after the other. his chest felt breathless, his heart felt as though it would drop down to the ground with how laden it was right then. what was wrong? did he say something that perhaps ticked his brother off? soon enough, he had caught after the other. it was quite hard to see with the darkness that surrounded them and with the speed his brother was taking. his slightly longer legs barely helped him catch up, but when he did, he quickly latched onto the other's wrist, holding him in place. his breaths were heavy as he stared at the figure in front of him, hold tightening.

"what's wrong, kwangmin?" he asked, trying to keep the desperation to know away from his voice. "did something happen?" he did not mean the wound, he did not mean the likely stabbing that his brother had done. "did i say something wrong?" he wondered if it was his choice of words, or perhaps it was something else telling kwangmin things again. "please tell me what's wrong." screw waiting for kwangmin to tell him. youngmin wanted to know right there and then, so he could fix it. even if it was something that was out of his hands, he would make it so that he could fix it. anything. anything so that he would not lose his brother even more to this gloom that surrounded them, that threatened to take his twin every chance it got.

@〈 jo youngmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ the clench in kwangmin's chest wasn't exactly unfamiliar, but for yet another odd reason, those words suddenly knocked the breath right out of him. wasn't it odd that five simple words could make his breath hitch almost unpleasantly in his throat? he could hardly speak, his gaze fixed on his twin brother. "i love you," he said, overwhelmed by the sudden urge to say those three words. it was something that they didn't often say, because it was they both knew. kwangmin had the tendency to get lost, whether it was physically or emotionally, but if there was one person that could always help him find his way, it was his dearest brother.

what was this feeling? of course, kwangmin had always loved his older brother, but there was something about this place that amplified all his feelings, giving him thoughts that he would never normally dwell on. at the moment, he wanted to be as close to youngmin as possible, but he was scared. there was a part of him that he was terrified of, the part that wanted to see what the elder would look like with tears running down his otherwise gentle gaze. he never wanted to hurt his brother, but just by existing, kwangmin already knew that he would bring pain to his beloved twin. he hated it. youngmin deserved so much more than to be following his younger brother to a dangerous forest.

"we should go," kwangmin muttered, refusing to look at his brother as he continued to walk forward. he was afraid of what he might do, where his thoughts might lead him to once youngmin would make even the slightest attempt at affection. he'd blinked, and suddenly he was in the forest, a knife in his hand - what if the same thing happened, except youngmin's body would be in front of him? he didn't want to think of it, but the image was already planted in his mind and it was too late - he walked quickly, pointedly avoiding his brother's gaze.

he didn't know where he was going, but it didn't matter. all that mattered was that he'd get out of here, without youngmin being so heart wrenchingly kind; although the elder was what kept him sane, it meant that youngmin could also drive him crazy. and kwangmin had the feeling that the process of insanity had already begun.

@〈 jo kwangmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ youngmin had to agree with the younger's words. he could only let out a soft breath as a small smile found its way to his lips. "yeah," he said in agreement. "i'll always find you." it was a promise, a vow he had declared countless of times, and not once had he broken those seemingly simple words - to him, it meant a lot to both him and his brother. one could say it was a proof of his loyalty to the other, of how he was still willing to stay even with everything that had happened in their lives. the only thing that would stop him from fulfilling this promise was death, but even then, he would make sure that he stayed with kwangmin.

was this what the others would call obsession? youngmin did not know. he only knew that he did not want the other to feel alone in this world, when all they had was each other.

the older could tell that there was something quite off with the other, but youngmin decided not to voice any questions out. if kwangmin had wanted to tell him, he would. if he did not, youngmin would just have to wait until his twin was ready to tell him whatever it was. he was quite relieved to know that kwangmin was already healing - that meant, it was not anything serious that required immediate medical attention. but then again, kwangmin's body was constructed to almost become a pure demon, the curse awakening the tainted blood in his veins.

youngmin was not even going to lie - when his brother pulled his hand away from his own, like youngmin was an object of horror, like he was something kwangmin should be terrified of. he halted in his tracks, and looked at his now empty hand. it looked empty, and it felt empty, and he turned his gaze to his sibling, his confusion written all over his face. "kwangmin?" he called, tone questioning. he took a step closer to the younger. "is everything alright?"

sujin wasn't exactly surprised at the sudden sight of her boss perched up on the tree above her. she couldn't help but grin at his presence, partly as a greeting and partly because his presence meant that soon, they'd be able to hunt down and torture the other demon. honestly, she'd always admired satan - the way his outbursts struck fear into the hearts of many, many creatures laying dormant within these woods - herself included, and she decided she wouldn't mind being killed by him so much. if anything, it would be an honor. however, there was no way she would risk it. quickly scaling one of the branches of the tree, she leapt up, balancing herself atop the thick branch as she nodded. "yes sir," she replied, a pleasant, excited lilt to her voice as she thought of the atrocities she could commit.

at yanan's instruction, sujin quickly followed after him, leaping from branch to branch as they chased after the wild hellhounds. the adrenaline running through her veins was unlike anything she had experienced - although she'd hunted in the past, it had been quite a while since the days before she'd aligned herself with the company, and she did miss being able to roam free. now being able to hunt with satan was an honor that she would take to her grave, and she'd do her best not to let him down. the hellhounds' deafening howls began to shake the very roots of the trees, their signal that they'd found the demon they were after. the corners of sujin's lips curled up, her heart hammering in her chest from the excitement, but she turned to satan instead, awaiting his instructions. of course, he would need to make the first move.

@〈 jo youngmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ if there was one thing kwangmin needed, it was his brother - always his brother. at the moment, he didn't need rest or food or shelter, all he needed was youngmin's warmth and affection and comfort. he felt his brother's soft lips against his hair, and they were almost burning - like a fire that seared into his skin. the kiss was soft, and gentle, so kwangmin didn't know why almost every kiss from his brother burned into him, as if every part of him wanted to remember the feeling of those lips against him. it was almost ridiculous, and the younger had to shake those thoughts away. at this moment, all that mattered was that youngmin was here and he was safe. "i know you'll always find me, hyung," he murmured. "you're stubborn like that."

youngmin was being so affectionate, and for some reason, there was suddenly a lump in kwangmin's throat. he was always weak whenever his brother touched him, whenever youngmin looked at him like he was the most precious thing to ever exist. which of course, he wasn't. he was a monster now, but the way his twin looked at him made him feel like he was still human - like they were coming home after a long day and the only home that they needed was each other. "okay," he said simply, unable to speak much due to the way he couldn't seem to swallow around the apparent golf ball in his throat. youngmin's kiss burned again, and he could have pushed the elder way if he wasn't so tired. "it's fine," he replied, brushing off the elder's concern. he didn't know where it came from, but he'd been through more painful things. "already healing, you don't need to worry."

he felt odd, for some strange reason - normally, he'd be just as affectionate as youngmin, but there was a heat in the pit of his stomach that didn't want to subside; having his brother so close to him only kindled it even further. kwangmin was hesitant as his twin took his hand, every touch like boiling lava against his skin. what was this? why was he feeling so strange about his brother simply touching him? he'd felt like this many, many times before - but it had never been so strong. he couldn't even find it in himself to return his brother's smile, only nodding once before gazing out into the abyss of trees.

it was dark, and kwangmin had to wonder if his older brother had any clue where they were going. he stared at the taller male, eyes glassy and unfocused as they kept walking. there was a strange urge in him, but he didn't know what it was - all that he knew was that youngmin was the only source of light in the dark forest, and a deep, deep, part of him that he tried his hardest to keep at bay wanted to snuff that light out. he was suddenly terrified, pulling his hand away from his brother as he shook his head. what was wrong with him?
〈 jo youngmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ 6 years ago
@〈 jo kwangmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ youngmin simply stared at the bloodied state of his brother, already too used to seeing the latter like this, but even then, his heart broke more and more with each time kwangmin appeared to him in this state — but he figured, this was better than not being able to see him at all. perhaps life was simply just too harsh for a pair of twins who were lucky enough to be bestowed with this unfortunate fate. the twins' blood was different — crimson, for the human side, yet tainted with the color of midnight as a reminder of what had cursed them into. . . this. however, he kept his expression gentle, had never been able to be truly afraid of the boy he loved so much. his eyes were still sincere, his heart never changing, and he hoped that kwangmin would continue to see the genuineness of his affections.

as soon as the younger was close to him, youngmin pulled kwangmin even closer, letting the latter rest his head against the taller's shoulder. he s an arm around kwangmin's torso, raising his hand to caress kwangmin's hair, gently running his digits through his brother's locks. he was sweaty and was a mess, but youngmin did not really mind. the other's figure fit perfectly inside his arms, kwangmin's warmth a huge comfort in this isolated place. he hummed softly at his sibling's words, placing a light kiss upon his hair. "it's alright. . . just don't go wandering off without telling me again, okay?" he uttered, tone soft and gentle. "you might end up going to a place where i can't reach you."

he then leaned away a little, his hands moving to kwangmin's shoulders and he touched the latter's chin, tilting his head to force his brother to look at him. youngmin cupped his cheeks, caressing them with his thumbs. "let's go back to our home, hmm? and have you cleaned up." his gaze was fond and tender, and he patted the other's cheeks lightly. he met kwangmin's eyes, and he leaned in to give kwangmin another warm kiss on the forehead. "are you hurt anywhere?" he asked, a frown replacing his smile briefly, letting his eyes fall down to kwangmin's body. youngmin could see where the blood was coming out from. a hand went to kwangmin's wound, touching it lightly in fear that he might hurt his twin more than he intended. ". . . how deep is it?"

unlike youngmin who was mostly human save for his demonic blood and an ability he cursed more often than not, kwangmin had regenerative skills almost akin to a full demon's. youngmin had to wonder if the even their parents' blood was split between him — him, getting the human blood, and kwangmin, the demon. youngmin wondered if this was because of that, or if this was the effect of having gotten a deal with a devil. no matter which was it, youngmin found himself being quite thankful for it despite everything happening because of it. at least, this kept kwangmin alive, and that was all youngmin wanted.

youngmin could only let out a deep breath, before he spoke. "let's go home." he held his brother's hand tightly on his own, not wanting to let go of him if he could. he started to lead the other back to the trees, where darkness (and other things he did not really want to see) awaited them. he turned back to kwangmin with a soft smile. "don't let go of my hand, alright?" he said, before they walked away from the clearing.
〈 jo kwangmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ [A] 6 years ago
@〈 jo youngmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ at this moment, there wasn't much kwangmin knew. other than the fact that life among demons was a hellish blur, there were only the fair few snippets and fragments of memories that left vague imprints in his mind. sometimes he remembered, sometimes he didn't. the remnants of the human in him had been driven insane, making way for a being that he was honestly terrified of. he wasn't himself anymore, wasn't the same boy that his brother had tried so hard to protect, and he hated it.

what did youngmin think of him now, he wondered? although the elder had never said it, kwangmin knew - he was nothing but a burden. another mouth to feed, another body to clothe, another child to provide shelter for. it was why he'd always done everything he could to make his dearest twin happy. he didn't want to be a child. he never wanted to be the one doted on, but because it was his curse to be born minutes after his older brother, he had to watch youngmin suffer for his sake. so he took matters into his own hands.

which led him to... where, exactly? he could barely identify his surroundings - darkness, trees - not much to go on. he was in the woods, that much was obvious, but all he'd remembered was following his feet, and suddenly, he was here. there was a knife in his hand - where did he get it? he could barely register all the blood, and there was the throb of pain stabbing at his side. was he attacked? by who, or what exactly? these woods were mystifying, doing nothing to help with kwangmin's already fragmented memories. maybe someone was chasing him, maybe he stabbed himself - he wasn't sure. he could never be sure down here.

but then he heard his name, and he remembered. the one thing he could be sure of, the one thing that kept the human part of him from vanishing completely. he turned around to see the face of his brother, and he almost melted in relief. "hyung," he murmured, dropping the knife in his hand and almost automatically opening his arms for a hug. he wasn't sure if the elder wanted to hug him with all the blood on his clothes, but he tried not to pay attention to that. he was lost, both physically and mentally, and if there was one person who could bring him home, it was youngmin. he was home.

he let himself be pulled closer, lips curled into a frown as he let his twin's presence calm him down. "i don't really know what i'm doing here," he admitted, wincing at youngmin's next words. "sorry. i just... walked. and somehow i'm here now." as if on autopilot, he leaned his head against the elder's shoulder, sighing softly. suddenly, he just wanted to go home. he just wanted to lay in bed next to his brother and sleep in. "i'm tired," he mumbled, closing his eyes and inhaling youngmin's calming scent. "i just want to rest."

@〈 jo kwangmin 〉ʇɔɔɐ if youngmin were to be honest with what he truly felt about hell, he would say that it was not the first place he would like to come to after death, but he would not have much choice, anyway. the demon blood mixed with his own, ran in his veins, which was his first class ticket to the fiery place. he could have lived on, avoided the place like the plague as he could have done so, but no — he chose to be here, in the underworld, where souls were sent to suffer, and here he was, as an employee under the accounting department. what an irony his life was, working with money after death when he could barely have a coin when he was still alive. but that was not what his focus here was. the only reason he was still sane in this mad, mad world was his twin, jo kwangmin.

the trees were intimidating, seemed like its branches stretched out to get him. he took a deep breath, kept his cool. he had always been good at masking his emotions — especially fear. back when he was still younger, he would only show his twin his cheerful smile, despite being tired and worn out after a long, long day. he had to stay strong for his brother. as the older twin, it was his responsible to keep kwangmin safe and happy. yet this desire, this very desire of selflessness, was the same thing that had become their ruin, led from one bad decision to another, and he regretted a lot.

kwangmin's gradual decline to madness was his fault. not his brother's nor the devil's — it was just youngmin's and his alone.

his pace was hurried and fast as he threaded into the woods, eyes darting around to look for a figure that was much too similar to his own. kwangmin had gone out again without telling anyone where he would be once again. youngmin's heart was painted with fear once he had realized that his other half was nowhere in sight. hell was a place where one could lose everything in an instant, and youngmin definitely did not want that. he had already lost faith in the world — he could not lose his twin no matter what.

he was deep within when his ears caught the sound of a blade diving into something — flesh? tree bark? he wasted no time in hurrying toward the direction, desperate to see kwangmin alive and well. he stopped just by the entrance of a small clearing in the middle of the woods, where his brother stood in the center of it. youngmin let out a sigh of relief at the sight, and as much as he would want to run and hug the younger, he did not. he carefully walked over to where kwangmin was, however, and spoke as he did so. "kwangmin," he called softly, and he stopped right behind the other. "what are you doing here? i was very worried, you know?" his eyes took a glance behind kwangmin's figure, before he reached a hand out to grab the younger's wrist, tugging the latter toward him gently. "let's go back. this isn't really somewhere we should be hanging at."

Today was the day he’d unleashed the cacophony of emotions that was long overdue. his eyes lit up with delight as he spots the familiar figure of his employee, lifting himself off the ground with a light hop as he leaps onto the sturdy branch that s out from the very tree she was leaning on. “keep up or I'll kill you along with that bastard”, he lamely voiced out, half joking while the other part of him considered it for a split second. he motions for the younger to follow after him before he lunges himself to the proximal tree. “let's go” and with that, the hunt begins.

@〈 im jino 〉ʇɔɔɐ dropping the two parts of the stick onto the forest floor, she watches the events that follow almost in slow motion. she watches silently, heart beating out of her chest as the angel's wing is broken like the stick she snapped into two, watches the angel falls to the ground. kei is eerily aware of her breathing, as she approaches closer, closing the distance by a couple of steps so that she can see them more clearly. a small frown appears on her face, the jab he made at her job and department hurt, but it was something she was used to, especially since she was half human as well. however, her attention is stolen away by the angel, noticing it's desire to try and escape while jino's back is turned. kei realizes she doesn't have the time, nor the paitence, to deal with the man. with no hesitation at all, she finds herself dropping to her hands and feet and crawling towards the angel in an effort to catch their stare, eyes burning into the angel's own, as she opens to sing. she pours all her energy into her song, into hypnotizing the angel into following her every command. she watches at the angel's eyes droop, the conciousness fading and a haze settling over them. "you shall obey my every command."

@〈 kim jiyeon 〉sɔ the angel with its face twisted in vengeful agony turns its pitiful gaze unto the other, pupils glistening with a color unrivaled by those produced in the light spectrum the earth provides. he recoils in disgust as a few crow feathers molt and fall from his flesh as a result from jino's coming awakening. his gaze is unbroken from the angel, instincts guiding him to mark his plaything after the admittance of another demon. seizing the advantage of the angel's stolen attention while being nearly paralyzed in fear by suddenly being outnumbered, jino plucks a pen from the wing for only a brief moment before snapping a portion of the wing into two. unable to fly, the angel incessantly attempts to flap its wounded wing despite the pain riddling its body. "you will not have your attention stolen away from me. do you understand?" he growls through gritted teeth, yet his prey falls faint in his arms as if the creature was nothing. irritated, he allows for the figure to fall onto the forest floor, gaze meeting the other demon's countenance for the first time. "i'd recommend for you to leave this for the accounting department. there is lip service you have to attend to, after all." he murmurs just within jiyeon's earshot whilst plucking the fountain pen from the other wing. however, unnoticed by jino, the angel's digits quiver as the pain begins to throb in the tips of its wings--signifying the creature is awaiting the perfect opportunity to escape.

@〈 im jino 〉ʇɔɔɐ [] hey hey here i am with a trashy reply im crying

she doesn't exactly know why she's here, wandering around the shadows, letting the overwhelming darkness cover her. she doesn't know why she's wandering around, letting the fallen branches of the woods cut at her legs, why she's chosen to even walk in a dress that barely reaches her knees. but maybe this is what she needed, a moment of silence from the always loud rooms of inferno inc, the angry customers yelling into her ear, maybe she needed a break before she'd finally snap and murder them with her own two hands. but she wouldn't, not really, because if she was at risk of killing every customer she met, she wouldn't be as good as she is now at her job. so she walks and walks, ridding herself of her anger, her fury, so that she can turn around and go sit at her desk once more and smile at the thousands of customers who want a return on their wretched souls. she walks and walks and walks until she swears she can't feel her legs anymore, can't feel yet another cut or bruise make their way onto her arms and legs.

until she sees it. a flash of pure, immaculate light, something she never thought she'd see here in literal hell. she finds her heart pounding, recognizing her demon instincts kick in, as her legs immediately move her towards the light, running and running. kei keeps running, keeps moving until she sees it, finally. a real angel. she sees a man in front of the angel, she sees it so clearly. bending down, she picks up a branch and snaps it into two, the sharp noise echoing through the woods, cutting through loudly at the immense tension in the air.

also, tw: blood

the blood of his previous past life corrupted his being with blind rage, triggered by the flicker of white wings he caught sight of through the trees. his stomach churned at the sight before the game set afoot. his current demon state and past sinful livelihood convened as it imbued him with his previously unrecognized power. he grew irrational with every step as he chased after the illusive figure, seeming to perform a beautiful ballet scene as it danced between the trees with beauty and grace--mocking him as his putrid core caused him to erupt with hatred. a simper snakes between his haggard breaths as his immaculate speed gradually shortens the distance between the two. he draws two fountain pens from the pocket of his suit jacket, flinging them with precision such that the creature's wings are pinned in place to two by the fountain pens against two trees. its wingspan itself provides esoteric beauty as its nearly pure white wings are pinned in place, crimson blood mixing with the black ink weeping from the pens. the two colors glisten over the ivory feathers before falling to collect on the forest floor as the visage of the user between them is torn in agony and pain.

a jaguar-like purr escapes the confines of his throat as he traipses closer, ebony locks tousled across his eyes that glisten with an exuberant violet. "oh, what a repulsive thing you are." he addresses the angel while nudging beneath the other's jaw with his index finger. he draws closer, being able to feel each other's breath as jino is left with just centimeters between himself and the angel's neck. "i wonder if he'll recognize that one of his winged beasts went missing. pain looks so beautiful twisting that face of yours--do tell, would i lose my job for getting rid of such a disgusting thing like you?"

@〈 yan an 〉°ɹɥ either sujin was early, or she was late. she'd been waiting for her boss for a while now - not too long, but enough to have her a little worried. he was the prince of wrath after all, and as much as she was a wrathful demon herself, yanan was still someone she never wanted to upset. ever. she normally hated waiting, but for someone like satan, she didn't mind at all. sujin leaned against one of the nearby trees, arms crossed as she repeated what the two of them were supposed to do in the woods. they were supposed to "apprehend" a demon that had been slacking off - it was one of their department's duties - and "convince" him to fix his work ethic at whatever cost. they'd received information that the demon was hiding somewhere in the woods like a little , and sujin had volunteered to accompany yanan on his hunt. hunts were always fun - it was often the chance for members of the wrath department to show off exactly why they were part of it. humming cheerfully to herself at the thought of what they would be allowed to do to the demon, sujin continued to wait for her boss, hoping he wouldn't be in a bad mood (which was wishful thinking - he was usually in a bad mood).
