@★ oh sehun The furrow of his brow is a testament of the concentration he's been pouring into his growing quirk, the beads of sweat a clear indication of long, drawn out times of utmost attention catered towards the spindling vines that are drawn out from the tiny pots they had once started in. He needs to plant them, that's his goal. Having them embed their roots into the ground on their own accord, and it's almost there, just a little bit more. He can see the pottery cracking from the force of the shuttering vine, his little baby lifting teeny roots, and larger ones, alike. He's so into it, that he doesn't even register his boyfriend coming over.
But really, he should have, given the way that the wind seems to change, going from stagnant, to gentle caresses against his cheeks, and face. He often wonders if it's on it's own accord, like how the plants around him seem to move, wiggle, *speak* around him, or if Sehun is the one to actually start doing it. At the silence, though, Jongin looks up, hearing the susurrous manner of Sehun's speech, and he immediately stands. His vines, unknown to him, have made their way into a lovely little hole, where they shiver, and come to rest, loosely tangled around his ankles.
He's breathless when he smiles, his cheeks a lovely shade of pink, from exertion, and just from seeing this man in front of him. Sehun's always brought out the best in him, helping him, telling him that the days where he doesn't feel a gender, or feels another gender, are okay, that they're valid. He's the sweetest person he's ever met, what everyone else may say. "Just to say good luck? That's all?" His steps are careful, still mindful of the vines that whisper 'don't go!' to him, but they relent, and let go, and he's able to wrap his arms around Sehun's waist. He gives a gentle squeeze, before pulling away.
"Did you finish today's test? Can you show me what you did-- or, well, what you're going to do?" He's excited, for many reasons, one being the look of utter concentration looks so pleasing on his brow. Speaking of which -- Jongin reaches up, just to fix the few stray hairs that are on top of his head. Perfection.
@★ kim jongin The mock test for their midterm assessment was held that day, continuing the entire week in several phases per batch. When he stepped into the training ground, he saw Jongin at the side with his classmates, looking as tiny as usual despite his taller figure among the other students, who didn't even notice him entering the ground. It makes him smile, just seeing the sight of the boy, as he walks to another end to receive a small briefing by his instructor. Stealing glances, not even paying attention. He barely see his little flower nowadays too due to how busy both of them had gotten due to all these upcoming tests, and truthfully, he doesn't think he can concentrate at all today with the other in the same place as him.
The 2nd year students - Jongin's peers - seem to never really dared mingling with the 3rd year seniors, especially those from the first class where Sehun is in. He figured so when they all seemed to avoid their gazes, perhaps due to the intimidation they feel around Sehun's peers who are, unfortunately, not the friendliest people in the world. He assumes they think it's arrogance, but it's nothing more than the stress they're facing as last year students who have to go through a pro hero examination to graduate. They know no such thing as mingling and socialising at this phase. It's a different case for Sehun though, he'd always been an .
And hell -- that was probably the reason people kept bothering Jongin, asking him about his relationship with Sehun who's also at the top of the class. To them it's weird how they're together at the first place, seeing how the two of them are literal opposites of each other. Sehun, a grump senior with serious anger issues, and Jongin, a quiet sweetheart of his class, whose quirks are also the least compatible with each other. The whispers can be heard when Sehun walks away from his circle to approach Jongin, who looked just as dumbfounded as the others when he drops by.
"What's with that look, huh?" He hisses at the others, who immediately went about to gather someplace else. Easy pests. "Jongin," he mumbles, turning back at the younger. "Sorry. I just figured maybe I can drop by to say good luck for today's test."
