@y. shiah ᵒᶜʰᵃᵏᵒ ᵘʳᵃʳᵃᵏᵃ Katsuki could care less—well, maybe not, and he figured that Round Face might be able to be of use in some ways. One of the things he'd learned in U.A High was that there were simply just things he couldn't do on his own—some things just couldn't be solved by a single individual by himself, and one of those things involved this... this whatever it was. Was this a quirk? Was this simply just a temporary phenomena that would end over time and they'd just return to their original bodies after a while?

But wasn't a year a little too long for that?

Did time even flow in the same way in both realities he knew?

He was then reminded of how little he knew about their current situation, despite having a year pass already.

One of the few reasons why Katsuki had been able to tell that it was Round Face almost right away was because they'd fought against each once in their sports festival. He'd learned not to look down on his enemies after having been defeated by Deku once—just once. And Round Face was always, /ing/ always wandering around his green-haired classmate, and while Katsuki wouldn't admit that he... knew a lot of things regarding his classmates, he had built up the habit of observing others, memorizing their small habits and mannerisms as he thought they might come in handy in the future.

His irritation hit its peak when Angel Face held him by his wrist, effectively stopping his pettie body from moving any further away.

"And I only know one foul mouthed hero, but hey, it's not like you could be /the/ Bakugou Katsuki, you have way too much of a cute face for a grump like Kacchan."

Katsuki couldn't help but turn to face Round Cheeks at the drop of his—of ing Deku's lame nickname for him during their childhood. He lifted his free hand, a habit once again, and there would have already been small explosions on top of his palm as he glared at her face, expression so dark it felt rather out of character because of his ing face at that moment. "Don't ing call me Kacchan, Round Face! I'll kill you!"

Then he froze.

.

He just exposed himself, didn't he?

He clicked his tongue. "Damn it!" he growled, pulling his hand away from the girl easily. At least he'd retained some of his former strength, but that was of course, not without training himself once again to the very last second. Due to that, Seulgi's body had grown quite muscled, much to the others' dismay as they said it wasn't... as fit for runway. Not that Katsuki cared, anyway. He wanted to be a ing hero, not a goddamn model. "Call me Kacchan one more time and I will shut your goddamn mouth!" He rubbed his wrist, and he once again felt the pain that he'd gotten from catching that brat earlier. He cursed under his breath one more time. He needed to get his wounds treated—or else, Seulgi's manager would yell his ear off once again because 'be more careful and take care of your face and body! Beauty is a model's everything!' ing hell.

@k. seulgi ᵇᵃᵏᵘᵍᵒ ᵏᵃᵗˢᵘᵏᶦ Ochako could only nod, the disappointment very visible in Shiah’s delicate features. So this young girl was just as much in the dark as she was. And, if they were somehow transported into this world line, did that open the possibility to other realities? Were there other individuals, from different times and worlds, that had also been caught in this web of chaos and despair, ripped mercilessly from the life they had lived and always known? Though it was a complex and delicate situation, it made Ochako’s head spin none the less—even after a year or so, it was a lot to take in and she wasn’t someone who overanalyzed every single detail that came into play like Izuku, Tenya or even Momo herself.

Her head hung low, and her shoulders dropped as she sighed. Ochako had felt that finally, after so long, the dim spark of hope had become a raging flame, and now it was as if a strong current of wind had almost vanished that flame once again.

“No,I-I do not. I wish there was something logical I could offer as an explanation but I’ve got nothing. I’ve busted nearly every neuron on my head trying to find an answer but I always come back to the same empty conclusion….”

Okay, now she was just being stubborn without a reason. Why wouldn’t she tell Ochako her name? It seemed only fair and logical that they should help each other out. If Ochako were to feel alone again after so long she’d probably shatter, at least now she had a….well, some sort of acquaintance if not friend, and that was better than /nothing/.

“B-because!” The petite heroine sputtered, almost offended. “Heroes work together despite their differences for the better good right? And besides, I am now convinced you are someone from class 1-A. You not only knew my full name without hesitation but you were way too quick to identify me via my quirk, well sort of, and I was never a student that was in the spotlight much; which means that if someone recognized me it would’ve been via the hero name Uravity; not Uraraka Ochako.”

Oh no. No, no no /no/. Ochako was not about to let her walk away. So, she did something a bit abrupt. She quickly reached for the girls wrist and gently tugged her to try and halt her steps. “W-wait, gosh darn it! You’re as stubborn as a mule! Now listen, I’ve been trying to figure out exactly who you are….it doesn’t seem like you’re one of my female classmates, they wouldn’t have reacted this way. Even Mina who tends to be a bit vocal and hard-headed—her reaction would’ve been different I just know it. So, that leaves….one person. You are way too crude with your attitude and unrefined with your pose, and your language is very unladylike….and….” Had their quirks been active and properly working, Ochako was sure the next words to leave her lips could’ve been her last, because /he/ would’ve probably blasted her into space if he could.

“And I only know one fouled mouth hero, but hey, it’s not like you could be /the/ Bakugo Katsuki, you have way too much of a cute face for a grump like Kacchan.” And there she was now, biting the inside of her cheek to conceal that eating grin that spread from ear to ear.

@y. shiah ᵒᶜʰᵃᵏᵒ ᵘʳᵃʳᵃᵏᵃ Katsuki didn't miss the way Round Face looked over his visage—he knew, okay? He had already said this before but he didn't care how many times he stressed it. It was just too goddamn impossible to see Bakugou ing Katsuki in the petite and delicate body of a well-known fashion model. Round Face still didn't know that it was him, and he wasn't going to blatantly tell her that yes, it was the explosive hero. He shook the thought off and listened intently to the heroine answer his question. It seemed as though the two of them were rather similar in regards to their appearance; that meant that they disappeared from their world around the same time. It was the same case for him as well: he'd been working with Icy Hot right before he got knocked out—it was a loss, he knew, and it stung, but what stung even more was the fact that the next time he woke up from his apparent concussion, he was in an unfamiliar body at an unfamiliar bedroom that was too spacious for his liking—too /elegant/.

"... You realized this is our reality now," he finished for her, quietly said and very out of character for him. He'd gone under the same realization—it was horrifying feeling to know that he wasn't who he was anymore; that a big part of what made him who he was had disappeared just like that. At first, he'd thought this was a joke—a very badly played joke—but he wasn't a fool. He was quick to realize that this was real world, as absurd as that might have sounded. This wasn't the world he'd known, but this was still real.

Despite that, he couldn't ignore the heavy void that filled his chest.

As Round Cheeks finished her story, Katsuki realized that the two of them were just as clueless as the other. It wasn't as though he didn't expect this. Unsurprising, but he still felt disappointed that Round Face didn't know a single thing about this ty phenomena that happened to them. "So you don't know either," he grumbled, and he ran a hand through his hair once more. Damn. ing damn it. Was there even someone who knew what happened to them? If there was, then where the were they? In this city? In this country? Or were they too far for him to reach no matter how hard he tried?

(Well, he'd got the money. Kang Seulgi was a wealthy chick. Too ing wealthy for a model.)

"Hah? Why the hell should I tell you my name?" Katsuki said instead of answering her. He got nothing from Round Cheeks, except the fact that she was at least someone he was familiar with. He knew her name, of course, but Round Face suited her much more than Uraraka Ochaco. "I'm leaving. Bye, see you ing never." He waved a dismissive hand toward her figure, before he his heels and started to walk away.

@k. seulgi ᵇᵃᵏᵘᵍᵒ ᵏᵃᵗˢᵘᵏᶦ Ochako was completely out of the loop. She didn’t know this girl before her, yet she seemed to know very well exactly who /she/ was and where her true origins lied. When she finally gathered the courage to speak up she felt a heavy weigh lift off her shoulders, oh thank you dear gravity! The reality was, now that Ochako had somewhat confirmed she knew exactly what the girl was talking about, she dropped the possibility that she was a foe. For, if her true intentions had been to take her out in cold blood, well she would’ve done so— and Ochako was relieved to have avoided a brute confrontation. But she still could not afford to let her guard down completely, not yet, she needed more intel; more importantly she needed to find out who this girl was.

Her physical appearance did not give it away, that was certain. Whoever she may be, it seemed that she too had been stripped away from her life and thrown into this one, not only with a new identity but a new body. Though, Shiah herself resembled Ochako’s physique almost to a tee, aside the cut of her hair; Shiah’s was much longer and perhaps a little darker as well, but both girls retained an uncanny similarity that it was almost eerie to say the least. However, her body language was another thing. It was unmannerly; akin to that of a very explosive and churlish classmate of hers in U.A high. But her theory was eradicated, for she could never picture /the/ Bakugo Katsuki in such a petite and delicate female body, it made absolutely positively zero sense whatsoever; though the thought did shortly entertain her and she had to hold back a shaky smile.

‘This is no time for such a silly behavior Ochako, focus, you’re not completely out of the lion’s den here’ She reprimanded herself.

Much to heroine in training’s annoyance, she dodged her initial question. Smart move, and Ochako couldn’t blame her. She decided to just let herself fall into vulnerability. The girl posed no threat at the moment and at least if they could communicate, maybe they’d get somewhere?

“I-I don’t know.” And then came a sigh as her hands balled up into fists, clenching tightly to the hem of her blouse. “It has only been a little over a year, but it has felt like a thousand life times. Before I woke up here, I was working on a very important mission, you could say. I fell and there was this, blinding flash of light before I surrendered to nothing but darkness. When I came to I was in a room that was not my own— in a body that was not mine. I thought the fall caused some really messed up hallucinations, or an ever ending nightmare but as the days went on…….”

She couldn’t bring herself to finish her sentence, as the days went on Ochako realized that she could not go back to the life and people she cherished. And by the heavens did she miss them. Her family, her friends, her teachers, her life, her….

“I don’t know why or how for that matter, but I am stuck here, and it looks like you are too. And no, until just a few moments ago I thought I was the only one. I’ve tried to carry on with this life that was just given to me, and no one has really come forward about anything out of the ordinary. I’ve given you an answer, so please, I beg you, tell me who you are, and how do you know my name? The...the fact that you’re even familiar with the way I activate my quirk....a-are you a student from U.A as well?”

While Ochako could never wish this fate upon anyone, not even her worst enemies, a part of her no longer felt in despair, at least now she knew she wasn’t alone.

@y. shiah ᵒᶜʰᵃᵏᵒ ᵘʳᵃʳᵃᵏᵃ Katsuki scowled even more. Round Face seriously had no idea who he was now, did she? He sighed exasperatedly, running a palm down his face before he let his hand rest by his lips, looking down at the other as he contemplated his next move. Now that he confirmed that this was indeed, Round Face of U.A High, that helped wuth his theories too. So he wasn't alone—he wasn't the only one who came from another world. He wasn't the only one whose soul was placed into another vessel. But why the was Round Face given a body of the same gender, while he had to face the horrors of being a lady? ing unfair. But then it'd be more irritating if Round Face had become a male instead.

He almost shuddered at the thought.

He decided to ignore her question. God knows what Round Face would do with knowing who he actually was. If Kirishima and the others were here, they'd be ing teasing him already. Not only did he lose his quirk, his very, very ing powerful quirk, he'd also become smaller and more petite than he really was. the universe for giving him a female body—he couldn't have been given a body like that ing candy who acted like he was a mothering prince. At least he was tall, and he looked like he packed a pretty mean punch, but that was nothing against Bakugou Katsuki, of course. ing hell.

"How did you even get here in the first place?" he asked instead. So here he was, trying to look for answers almost a year later after his initial arrival. Of ing course he couldn't just let himself stay in one place for too long. He couldn't let himself wallow in the fact that this was a new world. He had to keep moving forward. That was the only way to go about this thing, and he sure as hell ain't gonna let the universe him up with just this. It wanted to give him a new life? ing peachy, he'd make that life his own no matter the consequences. He was going to conquer this ing thing, and the universe wouldn't be able to stop him even if he tried.

He slid his hand back into the comfortable heat of his pocket. "When did you arrive here? Do you know others like us? Who got transported from another world and into this one, with a new body?" His tone was still rough, despite being—trying to be—calm. He needed to ing think. He was trying—/ing/ trying—not to do anything that would reveal his identity, but the fact that Round Face still didn't know who he was with all the mannerisms and habits he still held from the past life irked him to no end, but he supposed he'd endure it. This was better than being teased about the drastic change he'd gone under. And if—if Round Face didn't know anything helpful, oh ing well.

Back to zero. Maybe he should make it a goal to look for his... the people who got the same ing dilemma as he did.

@k. seulgi ᵇᵃᵏᵘᵍᵒ ᵏᵃᵗˢᵘᵏᶦ Ochako could only observe the young girl’s action. While she had been raised with the belief to never judge a book by it’s cover, it was needless to say that she was a little stupefied by the crude and harsh body language that girl was displaying, it almost seemed boyish, to some extent. And again, the pose struck her as familiar, but she did not know the first thing about this mysterious gal, and so it would be futile to make any assumptions. Instead, she waited for her to speak up, but Ochako was also ready to bolt out of there if need be— the last thing she needed this early in the morning was an unwelcome brawl of some sorts. To Ochako, it seemed like the universe was handing her a surprise after the other, because when the girl’s lips parted she spoke in a tongue not of this country. Japanese! But how— and wait, just what the /hell/ did she say?

‘You aren’t from this world, are you?’

What was that supposed to mean? Had Ochako blown her cover as Yoo Shiah? No. That possibility had to be impossible. It just /had/ to. She did not recall doing, or for that matter, saying anything out of Shiah’s usual routine, so why? And how did she know? As far as Ochako had been concerned, this was the first time she had even met this girl! She couldn’t possibly be an acquittance or friend of Shiah’s, for the latter had a small group of friends and seemed like a reserved young lady, nor did Ochako recall seeing her face in any photo albums or pictures stored in Shiah’s phone.

It was time to start assessing the situation. If this girl before her knew about Ochako somehow, then that could lead to a possibility that she knew how Ochako ended up here in this different world line of sorts. Or, given the case she was left in the dark about this, could it mean the same had happened to her? Her concern had begun to display itself on Shiah’s gentle and young features, and Ochako had to hold herself back. She could not let her emotions be so easily read, because who knew what it would give away. Then she listened as the girl went on.

‘The way you hold your hands together. You’re Uraraka Ochako’.

It felt like a bomb had detonated just behind her, and she could no longer hear a thing because her senses betrayed her and she felt numb. Numb and somewhat dizzy as if she had just been fallen straight down from a gyro drop.

“What in….” She muttered, though it was barely audible and words that came out purely out of her shocked state. This girl definitely had to be from Ochako’s own world line, but who she could not pinpoint. Even so, with the very little information she was given just now she could not determine if this girl was friend or foe, and to easily affirm her suspicions would be a foolish thing for Ochako to do if she did not know the other party’s motive. For now, she had to be vague and proceed with caution. Her hands were now at her sides, and while a few drops of sweat rolled down her temples she only took a deep breath, her visage remaining calm and collected.

“How….do you know that name? Just who /are/ you?” Ochako finally broke her silence, and in flawless Japanese too.
k. seulgi ᵇᵃᵏᵘᵍᵒ ᵏᵃᵗˢᵘᵏᶦ 6 years ago
@y. shiah ᵒᶜʰᵃᵏᵒ ᵘʳᵃʳᵃᵏᵃ Katsuki let go of the girl's hand once he deemed that they were in a place far from the commotion, without any possibility of the civilians running after him for once again, another thank you and even say that they'd want to repay him for his efforts. This had happened once before, and boy, some people just didn't know when to stop, did they? He'd never accept payment from the people for doing his job as a hero, even if he weren't exactly officially acknowledged as one. He slid his hands into the pockets of his pants, and he let out a soft exhale. It seemed that Round Face still hadn't recognized who he was, but then he supposed that there wasn't really anything he did that would blow his cover off—not like he was trying to hide anything. But if this was Round Face, that meant he wasn't the only one from his world that was transferred into this one. That could mean that there were a lot of other people out there that weren't from this world originally.

If that was the case, then what was this phenomena, and what had caused this to happen?

.

The explosive hero turned around, meeting the other girl's eyes. It kind of pissed him off a little, to be so close to her height when he was obviously a lot taller than his current body. He wondered if he should go along with this, because for ing sure, the chick was only going to about being in a female's body, looking so small and petite compared to his original body. He didn't want to risk sounding stupid in the eyes of others when they didn't know what he was talking about, so he decided to speak in Japanese instead. If this was Round Face, then she'd understand—unless she, for some stupid reason, forgot how to speak in their mothertongue all of a sudden. "You—" he started, and the vague ache of his back, the vague register of his slightly bleeding arm sat at the back of his mind, "—aren't from this world, are you?"

He'd entertained the idea of others being the same as he was—that was, coming from another world and souls being forced into someone else's body. He'd briefly wondered about where the original souls would have gone to, but he decided to drop that thought process a few hours after he'd thought about it. He didn't even know who or what he should look for to get some answers, and he doubted he'd get some answers in this pretty, ing dull world. While he might have appreciated the fact that this was a lot more peaceful than the world he knew of, he still loathed how his efforts for most of his life dropped to ing zero.

"From the way you rushed in to save the brat..." His mind trailed back with unbelievable accuracy to the mere seconds he'd spent observing the girl before jumping in for the save. "The way you hold your hands together..." And the look of despair that painted her face the moment nothing happened when she did so. He was too familiar with it. A memory of Katsuki looking at the mirror popped up, only to be greeted by a face he didn't know and didn't own. His heart had sunk, and he still wasn't able to remove the emptiness he felt whenever he tried to activate his quirk and nothing had happened. "You're Uraraka Ochaco." It wasn't a question. It wasn't a guess. Katsuki was utterly certain that he was right because he knew damn well that he was.

@k. seulgi ᵇᵃᵏᵘᵍᵒ ᵏᵃᵗˢᵘᵏᶦ It didn’t matter how many times she pushed her finger tips together, or how harshly for that matter; the stinging truth— much like a slap to the cheek— was that she was utterly helpless. And it was pitiful, Ochako who once aspired to be a great hero and save a life; even at the expense of hers, even when her feet refused to move she’d crawl through hell to aid someone in distress. What kind of hero was she to be, if she couldn’t even save one little boy? Shiah’s body, although rather well built was still petite and lacking, which meant that even if she were to cushion the boy’s fall, would he still go uninjured? Her thoughts were racing, probably faster that Tenya himself, and then in a nanosecond something happened. She only felt but a subtle breeze and a blurred figure practically bolt past her, and by the time Ochako had come to her senses, that said figure had been a young lady, who now laid on the ground holding the crying and shaking child. A shaky, sweaty palm was brought atop her chest, as a failed attempt to calm her beating heart and nerves.

“He’s okay, he’s okay, thank goodness, he’s okay.” She chanted like a mantra, and a sigh of relief escaped her lips as her shoulders visibly dropped. She recalled the way that young lady rushed to save that child, it was almost heroic, very much like a scene depicted from a comic book strip. The irony was but a little painful; Ochako who aspired to be a hero— in a world where heroes were the essence—could not stand before the gates of despair and this ordinary young lady, from an ordinary world rose victorious.

While it was true that a wave of relief hit her, it was just that. A wave, one that crashed and was soon dispelled and gone with the wind. Her worry would not easily fade, in fact it was still at bay. What if another situation of this caliber presented itself again? What could she do then? Without her quirk, without her friends to support her in a fight, what was she to do? If she was nothing without her quirk, then did she even deserve to have such a power in the first place? Ochako detested this. The monster that laid dormant but would surface at vulnerable times like these; her insecurities. Yet, there was little room for feeling satisfactory or content at this point. She did not wish to be pessimistic, it simply was the reality to face.

She almost reached out to that young lady, to give her most sincere gratitude for her bravery, after all /she/ did what Ochako had not been able to bring herself to do. But she held back, perhaps it would be too forward for a stranger to intrude her personal space and besides it looked like the fire rescue was tending to her, so she opted for a hopeful smile and her heels. A devastated expression painted her visage as she finally took notice of the crime scene before her; her groceries spilled on the floor. “Shoot, and that was a really expensive bread. Well it simply won’t do, I’ll have to—“ before she could finish and squat down to properly clean up the mess, another voice, not her own, rang and then a delicate hand with one heck of a hold grabbed her wrist and she found herself being pulled.

“E-excuse me” It wasn’t so much a protest but more of a question. It was the girl from before. But, what could she possibly want with her?

Had Ochako misheard her? She said ‘oi’, last time she checked it was not a very New Yorkian slang, and for some bizarre reason it reminded her of someone she knew, even the scowl on her elegant features was strikingly familiar, and that was a scary connection to make.

“Can I help you with something miss? Uh, why have you led me here, I don’t understand….” Her words were genuine. She did not understand, not one bit, and her brows furrowed with incertitude.

@y. shiah ᵒᶜʰᵃᵏᵒ ᵘʳᵃʳᵃᵏᵃ Katsuki — he refused to address himself as Seulgi; it was hella ing weird to refer to himself as Seulgi when he didn't feel like a girl despite all the female things he'd already experienced (i.e period) — still couldn't shake off his daily routine. His routine was what made his life constant, and it felt strange to just suddenly cut it off from his daily life. Losing his quirk had already made him feel emptier than he supposed he should feel; it was more like losing a limb than losing a special ability. For the first few weeks, he was ing disoriented. He'd destroyed almost half of his — or Seulgi's — bedroom, and everyone was ing horrified. The Kang Seulgi they were familiar with wasn't as brash and crude as Katsuki's version of a Kang Seulgi. But what could he do? Losing his quirk meant losing a part that made him who he was — he knew he'd looked down on ing Deku for being quirkless until he ended up getting a quirk, from the one they idolized the most no less. Was this how it felt? To be quirkless?

He clicked his tongue as he jogged into the park, the place void of any immediate presence. Well, obviously. It was too early for most people to be awake, but his nightmares always caused him to wake up at the crack of dawn, bits and small pieces of the life he'd lived before coming into this world. He decided not to forget who he was, what he wanted to be, but he also decided to make the best of what he had right then. He might have not played Seulgi's personality down to a tee, but he'd say he was doing an awesome job so far. After all, the harrassment that Seulgi experienced with a lot of male pursuers stopped the moment he flipped them off. Poor girl, he'd thought to himself that day. She didn't even learn how to fight.

His attention was caught by the rather loud crowd a few distances away from him. Luckily for him, he'd still gotten his sharp senses — everything seemed quite bigger than they were supposed to be in his eyes, and every noise felt much closer to him than others would think — and his eyes narrowed at the building where the people were crowding. In reflex, he ran toward them, reaching it in a few seconds. "Oi, what the happened here?" he asked, but he already knew what happened anyway. ing kids and their ing curiosity.

“I just called the fire department! They’ll be here soon.”

No. They wouldn't make it in time no matter how fast they tried to get here. It was supposed that the kid was already slipping, and he briefly wondered if Seulgi's body would be able to handle the weight of a child dropping onto her pettie body. His thoughts were disrupted when a lady rushed forward, dropping such perfectly good groceries, ing damn it, and his eyebrows shot up in surprise to see the position of her hands. He might not have cared /that much/ for his U.A classmates, but he knew them well enough to recognize such mannerisms that they used to activate their quirks. His suspicions were confirmed as he didn't miss the look of despair that masked the stranger's face, an expression awfully familiar to the explosive hero.

"Round Face?" Katsuki muttered quietly, but he shifted his attention again when the civilians around them screamed. The child was barely holding onto the window, and in instinct, he ran forward, hand outstretched behind him with his palm open. It was supposed to accelerate him, the small explosions that he could create, but he was slapped once more with the reminder that he wasn't who he was supposed to be. "Tch!" He jumped in just in time to catch the kid in his arms — which ing hurt, by the way. Jesus, did this girl not do any ing exercise except dancing? — and the two of them landed on the ground, with Katsuki using his body as a cushion for the brat, and boy, he already knew he'd gotten wounds now.

The crowd rushed toward them to assist the child, and Katsuki stood up shakily. His body wasn't used to what he could actually do, and it was pissing him off because his 12 years of training went down to almost 0 once again because he was forced into a body that wasn't even ing his. ing s, whoever thought this was funny actually. The fire department was hella ing late, because look at them, they just arrived now and if it weren't for Katsuki, the kid would already have his brain split open in the ing cement. They thanked him, and he would have yelled at them for being late if it weren't for the fact that he knew that sometimes heroes just couldn't get in there in time, and losses were inevitable.

He claimed that he was fine and that he'd take care of his wounds on his own — hell, how many times have he had to do this now that his body was especially weaker than he was used to? They were reluctant to let him go on his own, but he cut them off because honestly, he couldn't risk staying longer than he should because what if they ing recognized who he was? Well, he just walked away while the firemen were speaking, and he walked over to the girl who'd rushed in earlier. His eyes were slightly narrowed, a habit, a default expression, as he spoke, "oi. Let's talk." Without another word, he grabbed the girl's wrist, not even worrying whether this was really Round Face or not, and led her to a rather deserted place, where no one else could hear them but them themselves.

@k. seulgi ᵇᵃᵏᵘᵍᵒ ᵏᵃᵗˢᵘᵏᶦ It was at the earliest crack of dawn, when the sun had just started to wake, it’s light cutting through the fading dusk that the gates of the dojang slowly came ajar, just enough for a petite figure to swiftly pass through. Ochako, or better yet Shiah- the new identity given to her in this world- was now making her way through the somewhat crowded streets of New York city, sporting a casual smile directed at every passerby she happened to make eye contact with. Though she had been completely caught off guard and thrown into this ‘world line’ in a somewhat questionable fashion, it had already been a little over a year, and she had adjusted just fine to the situation.

‘A hero cannot afford to get flustered in an unknown scenario, instead they must make the best of it and find the safest and most efficient way out of it. Adapt and move forward; that is what I must do, and with a smile on my face because….that’s what /he/ would do, wouldn’t you, Deku?’

These were thoughts that plagued her every waking morning, and thoughts she would eventually silence and push aside. Since awakening into this life, she had endlessly tried to go back, convincing herself at first that it was just a long dream, or some sort of really messed up prank, but alas it was not. This was her reality now, and although she had not yet given up on finding a way back to /her/ home, she had surely played her role fit to a tee, and she would continue to do without fail until she reached her goal.

An hour or so had come and gone like the wind, and now she was finished with her morning task: groceries. Both her hands were occupied with two small plastic bags filled with comestible goodies. Not one thing seemed out of the ordinary this given morning, that was until she came along a crowd of people at the base of a building. Upon approaching the scene, her eyes widened like saucers and horror struck her when she saw a young boy, no older than six or seven, hanging on for dear life to the railing of the apartment window.

“I just called the fire department! They’ll be here soon”, the voice of a worried middle aged man rang through the crowd.

‘No, they won’t make it in time he’s slipping. I have to do something. I /have/ to! I don’t deserve to call myself a hero if I just stand idle and watch’. Her hands were now free, the contents of her shopping bags spilled all over the concrete side walk, but that was the least of her worries. Ochako rushed, her brow furrowed with determination and her hands clasped together, the pads of her fingers touching in a habit that was almost second nature to her now. “Release!”, and when she found her feet still on the ground an unsettling feeling twisted her insides. She no longer had use of her quirk, how would she float to save that frightened boy?

“N-no, it can’t be. Not now, release! Please…” she pleaded but to no avail. Without her quirk she was helpless, and so were those around her.
