♡ the wedding ♡

@kang seulgi。 "Mrs. Kang, hmm? At least I'm still a bae to you, right? Your bae?" Joohyun whispered softly into her wife's ear, grinning widely as she rested her hand in the crook of Seulgi's elbow. The older was completely taken by the younger woman, the surrounding was merely just a background because nothing could compare to Seulgi's breathtaking smile.

@zhou jieqiong。 @bae joohyun。 Obviously she didn‘t minded kissing her wife again, the nervous feeling already gone and replaced by pure happiness. Their moment didn‘t lasted long as Kyulkyung joined them and she pulled away with laughter, turning towards the guests with a bright smile that made her eyes finally turn into small crescents.

@kang seulgi。 @bae joohyun。 Hiding behind her script, she watched and laughed as Joohyun claimed her wife's lips once again and as much as she hate it, she had to break the moment. Throwing herself to the newly married couple, she pulled them close and grinned at everyone else in the room.

"Congratulations! Friends and family, I now present to you the newly married couple, Mrs. and Mrs. Kang!"

@kang seulgi。 "I wouldn't have it any other way, my baby bear." She cooed softly, her own eyes were shimmering from the tears of joy that were threatening to fall. She decided to hell with it and blinked them away, her make-up was waterproof anyway.

After a heartbeat of staring into Seulgi's captivating eyes, Joohyun pulled the younger into another kiss, tugging at the bottom tier playfully.

@bae joohyun。 A low grunt slipped from Seulgi when her now-wife, threw her arms around her neck tightly, nearly knocking the air out of her lungs.

„Heh, my wife..“, she chuckled shakily, trying to stop her own happy tears as she dropped her hands to wrap her own arms around Joohyun‘s waist as she whispered softly, „Now you‘re mine forever, baeby..“

@kang seulgi。 Unlike Seulgi, Joohyun threw herself to the younger woman and wrapped her arms around the other's neck so tightly as she pulled Seulgi into a deep kiss, angling her head carefully so that the clapping and cheering guests could only see the back of her fian- no, her wife's head.

"Seulgi... My beautiful wife.."

She muttered against those soft tiers, hands cupping the younger's cheeks and brushed those tears away with her thumbs while resting her forehead on hers.

@zhou jieqiong。 @bae joohyun。 Seulgi‘s heart beated faster than before, when it was Joohyun‘s turn to put the ring on her. She watched carefully when the ring was being slid over finger, joining the engagement ring. It was a perfect fit and couldn‘t help but admire the two rings on her finger now, almost losing herself when it wasn‘t for Kyul who placed her hand back on their hands.

„...I now pronounce you married!"

She let those words sink in, her eyes tearing up a little, realizing that they did it. They‘re married now, a promised life together till the end — Bonded for life.

Letting out a soft laughter at the other‘s words, Seulgi lifted her hands up as she gently cupped Joohyun’s cheeks and leaned over to place her tiers on her‘s, closing her hues as she did so and finally her own tears fell.

@kang seulgi。 @bae joohyun。 Jieqiong swooned with the rest of the guests at the smooth move her Baechu unnie pulled. It was heartwarming and she couldn't help but shed another tear. Taking a deep breath, she put her hands on top of theirs again, squeezing gently. The pounding of her heart was very loud in her ears as she delivered the words that everyone's been waiting for since the start of this ceremony.

"Seulgi unnie and Joohyun unnie, you have come here today of your own free will and in the presence of family and friends, have declared your love and commitment to each other. You have given and received a ring as a symbol of your promises. By the power of your love and commitment to each other, and by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you married!"

Grinning mischievously, she patted Seulgi's shoulder in encouragement as she bellowed, "Aaanndd you may now kiss each other but please, keep it PG-!"

@zhou jieqiong。 @kang seulgi。 Joohyun felt a surge of warmth and pride filling her chest as she watched her fiancee closely, happy to know that her surprise had the desired effect. She could see that her bear wanted to come down and greet the little boy personally herself. Such a Kang Seulgi thing to do. Joy bloomed on her cheeks when her brain with a visual of the younger woman being the same but with their own kid. She filed the image away for later and focused on the hand holding hers up, holding her breath as Seulgi repeated the promise then the ring slipped on her finger- a beautiful addition, a perfect fit like it was made for her (which technically was true but details, details).

Now it was her turn and she accepted the ring from Jieqiong with a giddy smile, left hand supporting Seulgi's, and she looked into those chocolate hues she loved dearly as she repeated the promise as well.

"I give you this ring, as a symbol of our love, for today and tomorrow, and for all the days to come. Wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day, and know that my love is present even when I am not."

She glanced down briefly to make sure she did it right and the smile on her face almost splitted her face into half, the ring was a perfect fit and complimented Seulgi's engagement ring. She couldn't help herself when she brought Seulgi's hand to her lips and placed a tender kiss on the back of it, earning herself a chorus of "aawws" across the room.

@zhou jieqiong。 @bae joohyun。 She couldn‘t help but to chuckle after the older repeated the same like her, her hues almost turning into two small crescents. The moment came where they were going to exchange the rings and for some reason it was hidden from her who was going to bring the couple the rings. When Seulgi moved her eyes away from her fiancee‘s to see who it was, she couldn‘t help but to coo out loud. It was William, who looked cute and dashing at the same time in his suit. She fighted the urge to pick him up and smoother him with kisses, deciding to do it after the ceremony before returning her focus back on Kyul who was spoke up again.

Nodding her head, Seulgi gently took Joohyun‘s left hand, feeling her heart hammering again against her chest.„I give you this ring, as a symbol of our love, for today and tomorrow, and for all the days to come. Wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day, and know that my love is present even when I am not..“,she spoke up in a soft, steady tone and she stole a glance at her Joohyun, putting the ring on her that fitted perfectly.

Jieqiong's eyes swept the room and stopped on a familiar face making his way to the aisle with the help of his father was William Hammington. When Seulgi suggested the little boy, Joohyun didn't waste anytime and pulled some strings to get the star of The Return of Superman to attend their wedding. Of course the little boy was more than happy to do the honor of the ring bearer for his beautiful "noonas".

"Thank you, buddy!" Jieqiong grinned after patting the boy's head gently then carefully lifted one of the rings from the terrarium box and handed it to Seulgi.

"Now Seulgi unnie, please take Joohyun unnie's left hand and repeat after me as you put it on her, okay? "I give you this ring, as a symbol of our love, for today and tomorrow, and for all the days to come. Wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day, and know that my love is present even when I am not.""

@zhou jieqiong。 @kang seulgi。 Joohyun did snort. She couldn't help it, it was such a Seulgi thing to do. Or say. And the fact that those cheeks she adored so much gaining colors from the harmless mistake just made it even funnier for the older woman. Beaming at the younger, Joohyun nodded firmly and squeezed Seulgi's hand as she spoke with much conviction.

"Oh yes, I do."

Hopefully Seulgi caught on what she did there.

@kang seulgi。 @bae joohyun。 The Chinese girl couldn't help the snicker that escaped her, and she thought she heard a snort from the leader but she wasn't so sure. Nodding at Seulgi, she then turned her attention to Joohyun.

"Do you, Bae Joohyun, take Kang Seulgi to be your wedded wife, to cherish in love and in friendship, in strength and in weakness, in success and in disappointment, to love her faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?"

@zhou jieqiong。 @bae joohyun。 Seulgi took a deep breath, relieved that the vow part was over as it was nothing compared to those days where she was trying out her acting skills for the first time. Her attention was brought back to present when she felt Kyul‘s hand on top of theirs, realizing what part was coming next and listened to the other‘s words.

Some would have any other thoughts right now, doubts of becoming a married person, if they were really worth it and such things but not Kang Seulgi.

„Yea.. I mean I do“,Seulgi blurted out, her cheeks gaining some color at her own silly mistake and emittting soft laughters from the guests, including her own family.

@kang seulgi。 @bae joohyun。 Jieqiong wanted to cry. Loud. She really wanted to, the bubble of happiness clogging as she watched both of her unnies exchanging promises of a lifetime before her. Blinking the tears away, she carefully put a hand on top of the couple's joined ones and took a deep breath before beaming at her bear unnie.

"Do you, Kang Seulgi, take Bae Joohyun to be your wedded wife, to cherish in love and in friendship, in strength and in weakness, in success and in disappointment, to love her faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?"

@zhou jieqiong。 @bae joohyun。 Upon Kyul‘s words, Seulgi couldn‘t help but to laugh along with the guests and it helped her to calm down a little more. Her gaze never left her fiancee‘s, only half focusing on what Kyul was saying. She could endlessly stare at Joohyun, admiring her beauty once more, not really caring if she looked like a love-sick bear and nearly would have done so if it wasn‘t for Kyul clearing to get the couples‘ attentions.

„Ah yes..“, she slowly nodded her head before taking Joohyun‘s hands in her‘s. Now was the moment where they would exchange their vows, the unbreakable promise of a lifetime. As her fiancee started to say her vow, Seulgi did her best not to tear up, blinking a few times as she also held the urge back to bite her lips out of habit because of her lipstick. She could feel those butterflies in her stomach again, like the first time when the magical three words were spoken between them. When Joohyun was done with her vow, her lips were curled up into a soft smile and return the gentle squeeze. Now it was Seulgi‘s turn to say her own vow, which she had only prepared a day before due to her packed schedule.

Clearing , once more she gave Joohyun‘s hands a squeeze. „Bae Joohyun, my better half, my best friend, my little bunny. You have made me feel more loved than I ever thought possible. I love you“, Seulgi spoke up, her hues never leaving the other‘s while fully focusing not to mess it up, „Today, I give you all that I am, and all that I have. Just as I give you my hand to hold today, I give you my heart, my faith, my life.“

For some reason, she was calmer than moments ago as she recite her vow from her mind and she took a steady breath before continuing, her smile never wavering.


„I choose you today. And I would choose you again tomorrow. I would go on choosing you the day after, and every day for the rest of our lives. And I would even choose you in another life because you are my soulmate. You are my once-in-a-lifetime and I love you, I will always carry only you in my heart.“

A spoken promise for the rest of their lives, one that Seulgi was going to hold, no matter what would come. She would only love her, her goddess of peace, her Joohyun.

@kang seulgi。 @bae joohyun。 Sniffling, Jieqiong blindly reached for her pocket and blew her nose quietly using the handkerchief she's prepared. She knew she would get out of this ceremony with wet eyes and a runny nose.

"Ah.. beautiful. Bear unnie, it's your turn."
She smiled at the older, eager to hear what Seulgi has prepared.

@zhou jieqiong。 @kang seulgi。 Joining in the laughter, Joohyun shook her mother's scandalized face out of her mind and focused on the woman before her instead. Kang Seulgi, the dork that snatched everyone's "weaves" on stage with her powerful performances and charismatic persona. She only caught a trickle of what Jieqiong was saying, she guessed that they were at the marriage definition part but she wasn't so sure, she was too busy taking Seulgi in. Everything about the younger woman was mesmerizing, breathtaking.

From her beautiful monolid eyes that always smiled along whenever she does (Joohyun would absolutely die for her smile), her sharp, pointed nose that was decorated by her gorgeous heart shaped nostrils (how are they even real??), her fluffy cheeks that had suffered from Joohyun's random nibbling, and her lips— gosh don't let Joohyun get started on them, she could go on and on about how much she loved those pairs. Then of course, Seulgi's round face, Joohyun absolutely loved it. All in all, Bae Joohyun's whipped for Kang Seulgi.

Unfortunately, her daydreaming was stopped by Jieqiong who cleared and nudged her heels clad feet to get her attention, laughter in the background was the only thing she could hear as she blinked rapidly at the Chinese girl, her doe eyes wide.

"Hands. Vows"

"Ah..."

Bashful, Joohyun dipped her head as her rubies curled up in an embarrassed smile as warmth covered her own smaller hands. Clearing , she braved herself to meet Seulgi's eyes while trying to memorize the vow she had written days ago. The words came back to her easily as she succumbed into those soft, baby brown eyes.

"Seulgi, you are my best friend, my partner in crime, my rock. When things get uncertain and doubts start to cloud my judgement, you always rush in with that blinding smile of yours and let me lean against you while you whisper reassuring words to me. To me you're the epitome of love, optimism, supportive, hardworking, and everything else I aspire to be."

Joohyun paused, her lungs were screaming for oxygen, then exhaled slowly. She was impressed that her voice didn't waver at all, maybe it had something to do with the woman in front of her.

"I promise to laugh with you, cry with you, and grow with you. I will always be honest to you and try my best to tell you what's in my mind and heart. I will love you when we are together and when we are apart. I promise to support your dreams and to respect our differences, and to love you and be by your side through all the days and nights of our lives, in health and sickness, through sorrow and success."

She gulped, trying to keep the tears at bay while squeezing Seulgi's hands gently and not tearing her teary eyes from the younger's. She wanted Seulgi to know, to see, the sincerity in them. The eyes, they say, never lie.

Another pause, and she took the moment to scan her script then continue while switching her gaze between the couple who seemed lost in their own world.

"It takes more than love to make this relationship work. It takes trust, to know in your hearts that you want only the best for each other. It takes dedication, to stay open to one another, to learn and grow, even when it is difficult to do so. And it takes faith, to go forward together without knowing what the future holds for you both. Shortly you shall say a few words that will take you across a threshold of life, and things between you will never quite be the same.""

Another dramatic pause, and Jieqiong could feel her heart hammering again her chest as she held the script close. The next words flew out of her lips smoothly for she had memorized them because of their importance.

"Now we've come to the point of your ceremony where you're going to say your vows to one another. Seulrene, please join hands, look at one another now and remember this moment in time. Baechu unnie, you may go first."

@kang seulgi。 @bae joohyun。 Jieqiong's eyes darted back and forth between the couple before her, her lips stretched into a smile and a certain someone's smile flashed in her head briefly before she cleared as the song came to an end and all the guests' attention was on them.

"Welcome, family, friends and loved ones. We gather here today to celebrate the wedding of Seulrene. You have come here to share in this formal commitment they make to one another, to offer your love and support to this union, and to allow Seulgi and Joohyun to start their married life together surrounded by the people dearest and most important to them."

She paused, taking a deep breath as she flashed the couple an encouraging smile before addressing their guests.

"They wanted me to thank you all for being here and to recognize how important each and every one of you are to their relationship. They would also like to recognize all of those who couldn’t make it here today as they are certainly missed but not forgotten on this day of celebration — especially their babies, no, no, no, they are the brides' cats, not their real babies- Jojo, Gigi, and Nabi."

The bashful smile on the Chinese woman's face drew laughter from the shocked faces in the rows. Even the brides' families looked taken aback for a moment there.

@zhou jieqiong。 @bae joohyun。 Beside the obvious fact that Seulgi was going to be a married woman in a bit, many irrational thoughts entered her mind like did she brush her teeth or did she washed her hair today. Wait, did she even watered the plants? Before she could get lost in her silly trail of thoughts, she blinked a few times asthe entrance song suddenly changed which meant only one thing...

The doubled door swung open again, this it was Joohyun‘s moment. The younger‘s jaw dropped a little, her heart skipping a beat at the ethereal sight of her. Joohyun looked like the youthful goddess she was, in her white dress and the tiara on top of her head. As the other walked down the aisle with her father, she took a deep breath, trying to calm down her racing her heart. She felt like the luckiest woman on earth right now who was going to marry someone like Joohyun; who held both beauty and brains as well as a golden heart.

It only helped for a moment because when Mr. Bae gave Seulgi, his daughter‘s hand, he had given her that look that she knew from her own father. If she would dare to hurt his little princess, she would be a dead person. Gulping nervously, she took her fiancee‘s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.

„H-hi Baeby..“, Seulgi whispered back, the smile still etched to her lips as she took on more glance at her fiancee before turning towards Kyulkyung.

@zhou jieqiong。 @kang seulgi。 "Joohyun, sweetheart, breathe please! You don't want to pass out on your wedding day, don't you??" The panic in her father's voice caught Joohyun's attention and she gasped, finally giving her lungs the oxygen they've been depraved of for the past 2 minutes.
"I.. I.." she stuttered and gulped for air, trying her best to calm her jittery heart.

"Papa.. I am.. I just- this is worse than what I felt on my debut stage. Is this normal?"

"It is, sweetheart. But you don't need to worry, okay? It's Seulgi. You're marrying Kang Seulgi, your best friend. The one who's been by your side the past few years through happiness and hardships. I have no doubt you'll feel at ease when you see her later. And heck, I bet that kiddo is just as nervous, if not more." The woman smiled at the last part, she thought so too.


And her father was correct. The grip Joohyun had on her father's arm loosened as they both walked past the double doors with Ed Sheeran's Perfect accompanying them, and her soon-to-be wife filled her vision. The world faded into background and all Joohyun could think of was how dashing and dapper Seulgi looked in her suit. It took everything in Joohyun and sheer strength of willpower for her to not dashed towards the younger woman and jump her right there and then. Tears soon clouded her vision with every step she took forward, bringing her closer to the aisle where the love of her life was waiting. For her.

Mr. Bae couldn't hold back the tears anymore when they finally stopped in front of Seulgi and Jieqiong, tucking a strand of her dark locks behind her ear and kissed her cheek, not forgetting to whisper an 'I love you' before handing her over to the younger woman. He didn't need to say anything when he looked into Seulgi's cloudy orbs as he held Joohyun's hand out to her, he had no doubts that the woman got the message. That he would hunt her down if she ever dare to hurt his princess.

Said princess, who literally had a tiara perched on her head, was too busy admiring her bear to notice the tears rolling down her father's cheeks. And when she turned her attention away from her bride, she could only see her father's back as he walked to where his family was sitting. Her lips trembled when the memories of her as a child leaning against that strong back for comfort and security hit her like a truck. Blinking the tears away, she unconsciously caressed her exposed collarbone and shoulder. Aside from the tiara, Joohyun had opted for something simple yet elegant and still showed off her youthful beauty, with her dark waves flowing over her right bare shoulder and minimal makeup, Irene the goddess of peace.

As doe eyes met cat-like eyes, a soft, shy smile was flashed to the younger woman, thousands of butterflies swarming Joohyun's stomach as she whispered.

"Hey there, Seulbear..."

For Joohyun, standing there in front of her fiancee felt like falling in love with Seulgi like the first time all over again.

She reached up to gently tug at her collar, pursing her lips a little."I am afraid that I will faint if I see her coming in.."
