@changmin s. ᵇ There was no telling how much time had passed. Yunho had lost himself listening to the water rhythmically lap against the dock, his honey brown eyes distant like he'd come out of a dream as they finally fluttered open. Leaning against the rope that ran along the edge of the dock, he glanced out across the lake. Even the sun setting over the horizon was a bit too bright for his sensitive orbs, but he still couldn't help admiring it. The splash of orange, pink, and yellow hues that painted the sky in a final farewell... The way it created silhouettes out of the last few ships making their way in before nightfall. He remembered him and his younger brother coming to watch them what seemed like ages ago... With the fading of daylight came a chill, though, and he tugged up the collar of his turtleneck so he might linger longer.
@minhyuk l. ᵒ Still getting used to this place Soohyuk wasn't sure about hanging out with the other pack members, if anything he just didnt want to do anything concerning them or around them. So he decided to go out and hunt to distract himself from the fact that he belonged to a new pack; shifting to his wolf form he used all his strength to run as fast as he could his nose catching up to the scent of near by prey.
Taking a breathe, sniffing his surroundings to make sure he had their scent, trotting over to the lake he leans down lapping at the water for a quick drink.
For a moment he thought he was alone until suddenly off the corner of his eyes he say a familiar figure, turning towards it to confirm his suspicions he saw it was Minhyuk. Soohyuk debAtes whether or not to go up to him and start up a conversation, he doubted his own social skills were sharp but yet he was willing to try.
@yifan w. ᵃ it was supposed to be his routine run; just a few laps circling the boundaries of the pack’s territory, a 10 kilometer radius from their safehouse. But the moment his senses picked up the presence of another wolf, another alpha to be precise, Yixing tensed up as his silver coat bristled in alert. His bright amber eyes caught the movements between the shrubs, another wolf as big as he is was running alongside him. The musky scent was yet unfamiliar to him, though the moment he took glimpses of the latter’s wolf form, Yixing let out a relieved huff. It could’ve been an intruder for all he knew, but it was just Yifan.
He answered the alpha’s greeting with a curt growl as he slowed the pacing of their run, just so Yifan could run alongside him. ‘Hunting with you seemed like a worse decision compared to being alone.’ He quipped back in a bemused expression, chortling softly in his mind.
@yixing z. ᵃ yifan wasn’t aware he had company until he slowed to a trot, then a complete halt. he heard the birds rise, taking to the strong winds that carried a mosaic of smells. prey, predator, and kin: another wolf was near, but he was north of the wind. yifan couldn’t catch the signature just yet. his weight shifts and he takes careful steps, listening close before bounding off again, not taking much care to hide himself at first. once he closed a sizeable distance between the clan member, he could better distinguish yixing.
yifan’s wolf thrummed with a boyish giddiness that came with the hunt, masked by his pointed looks and his focus on the prey. but he discarded that for the moment: instead barreling through the thick to intercept his fellow wolf with a throaty rumbling call. he kept in pace with the other but couldn’t help nudge him out of good fun. ‘hunting alone never seemed smart.’
@yixing z. ᵃ having become saddened by the fact that his newly-found friend had disappeared from within the large crowd of people, minhyuk weasled his way out as well, going on a search for the other male that had disappeared out of sight. he remembered the older having mentioned something about heading into the woods, so with cautious steps, his head low as he attempted to sniff out the other's scent, the white, carmel streaked wolf found himself wandering towards the edge of the woods behind the glistening lake.
he didn't have to step that deep into the cluster of tall, oak trees for the alpha's scent to hit his nose, a faint sneeze filtering from him before he began to follow the trail. for some reason, yixing's scent had always been the strongest towards minhyuk, perhaps that was because he was the first alpha that the smaller lingered around long enough for the smell to be etched into him-- regardless, within a couple of minutes, he was able to follow the familiar scent throughout the forest, each step pulling him closer to the other.
a light ruffle of leaves had gained minhyuk's attention after a couple of minutes of roaming, his head perking up as the tips of his white ears twitched. looking ahead, he saw a silver wolf sprint off and while he couldn't see the other's face fully, the scent was familiar-- he knew it was yixing's. with a small yip, he began to sprint after the male, mustering up all of his speed before he tackled the other onto the fallen leaves of the forest flower, pinning him onto his back so he could peer into the discolored orbs of the alpha's, hoping he would be recognized and not seen as a threat.
[] ahdjakz i hope you dont mind me responding to this
min got sad and looked for him unu
As he bounded out of the shared space, the alpha took in a huge gulp of fresh air, feeling lightheaded after being in a room as crowded as their shared lounge. It wasn’t that scents from other wolves never bothered him, of course they did. But the alpha had trained himself to sift between scents; which to focus on and which he should discard. A skill most alphas have. Now he just wanted a good run; to burn away the excess tension, energy and fuel in his body. Something Yixing loves to do and a way for him to keep his calm facade and keep himself in check. A good hunter is one who has his head in the game all the time, never a hot-headed or an impulsive one. And his efforts had beared fruits as his hunts almost never failed.
The moment his foot stepped into the line of the forest, almost swiftly and painlessly after, a large silver wolf took place and his wolf thrummed in joy at the release. Yixing relished in that feeling; the raw power of his wolf surging in him and ready to serve the pack. Burning amber globes lit the dark of the forest as he sprinted through the forest floor, his presence scattered the birds to the skies. He existed for this, his wolf longed for this and he wouldn’t trade it for anything.
yifan sets his hands on his thighs and rolls back on his heels, the two thick horizontal lines of crimson smeared thick across his cheeks crack in places as he rises. he steps over the the small shrew he had used for time being, and steps forth into the gentle lapping waves of the lake. it's soft, nothing like the ocean, where water's churn with the sole intent of dragging wolves under. yifan continues out, staring straight ahead as the frigid night water reaches his hips. it's the first time he's shuddered since his ritual started, and with the the moon's light shining down on him he stammers to her glistening glory, "i v-vow my life to you, the a-all knowing mother of the moon." he bends at the hip, subjecting himself to nothing short of icy hell, before turning around to wade out of the shallow waters.
his strides become longer, faster-- he gains speed until he dives arms first and fur erupts around him. yifan blooms into the silver wolf, broad framed but swift as he follows the scent of prey into the woods.
