@bobae kim ♜ "what else is interesting?" marchosias repeated, raising a neat eyebrow. "nothing," they deadpanned, grabbing a straw from the holder and tearing off the paper to play with. "this place kind of-- no really, really . it's way too cold, despite being bright as ," they said, gesturing to the other in reference to the prior bright comment. "which makes absolutely no sense. the only shining light is their food if i'm being honest. it's much more exciting than what we have at our disposal." they glanced over at the jukebox which was playing some funky tune before turning their gaze back to the other. "and their music is good. most of it. anyway, what have you gotten into since arrival?"
@park jamie ♜ they hum as they tapped their fingers on the table, playing with the tune. looking around as they were fascinated at the humans around and watched every move they did. bobae found it hard to stop themselves from messing with the humans around, they would probably create a scene but they didn’t choose to. they wanted to enjoy their time with their fellow demon. they rests their elbows on the table as they placed their chin on their palms, curling their fingers. “so, what else is interesting about this world? it’s really bright here.” they looked around as they noticed the bright but somehow gloomy atmosphere as the diner was really old. they lean back as they placed their palms on their nape, a grin appearing on his face as he looked at the other demon.
@jung wooseok Back when Jimin was human, a very long time ago, he always wondered what human civilization would evolve to. He believed that medicine would advance more as the years went on, believed that the earth would be as beautiful as it was when he first walked upon it. But alas, only one of those things seemed to have been true, for the most part at least. But he's not going to dwell on that right now, he can help take care of the earth with one human at a time. Jimin saw it as killing two birds with one stone, a saying that humans would say. It was one of the reasons he took up this assignment in the first place if he was going to be honest. He wouldn't tell James about that, of course.
Jimin knows he probably looks a bit strange to the human across from. Unlike Angels, human seem to value more time being alone and not wanting to talk to someone they don't know. Jimin retracts his hand, setting both of themon-top of the table, feeling a slight stickiness on the table top. He chooses to ignore it, not knowing if it's meant to be that way or not. "I know, Wooseok." Jimin replied, debating on how to go about the manner. He can't just say it aloud with other humans in the vicinity. He decides he's going to have to dance around the topic for a bit, or until the human gets up and leaves with Jimin following behind to find a perfect place to tell Wooseok. "Well, actually there is. But I can wait until you're finished with whatever you're doing on that device of yours." Jimin motions at the male's strange rectangular object that seems to be lighting his face. It's intriguing how humans have come a long way since the last time Jimin himself has been human.
@bobae kim ♜ the bell above the door signaled their arrival, so as soon as they stepped in they were greeted by a few off the staff. that was still a strange concept to jamie that they'd come across pretty much everywhere. why say hellos every time someone walked in? it was a waste of the little breath humans even had. the diner was a bit more full that before and music played from the odd music box in the corner. ignoring all sensory distractions, jamie headed for the counter bar seating and stepped up to sit on one of the stools. "hey, you," they called, waving a hand to get one of the waitress's attention. "two of your finest milkshakes for my friend and i"
@park jamie ♜ the neon lights reflecting in their eyes as they stared at it, fascinated by how bright it was. the things that humans had in their world always surprised them and the demon found themself getting really interested. the diner wasn't exactly the best and there could be better diners around but it still got the demon amazed. the demon was impressed by charlie's /amazing / that they just had to get one for themselves. "i was really interested in his drink. such a disappointment that he didn't share, doubt i'd share with him if i got the drink myself." pushing the door open and stepping aside as they raised a brow and grins, "after you, the one who will share the wealth unlike human charlie." chuckling as they gestures the other to go firt.
@bobae kim ♜ If you wanted something done -- right or at all -- you had to take it upon yourself. That was the philosophy that Marchosias held strong to and it was more relevant now than ever as they walked through the streets toward their new favorite human eatery. The Diner. Their platform boots thumped against the concrete sidewalks, steps arrhythmic with those of the much longer legs of their companion as they had to keep pace while also taking lead. Eventually, they came to a stop in front of the establishment and beheld its rusting metal siding and half-lit neon sign for a prolonged moment before turning to the other demon. "Belph, this is a Diner," they said as if presenting some amazing treasure. "Since human Charlie didn't share their riches in the form of that wonderful dessert drink, I'm taking it upon myself to share the wealth."
@park jimin ♖ It might be slightly strange for a college student to be in a diner by himself on a Friday night, but Wooseok wasn't able to resist the late night temptation of a good greasy burger, oily fries, and a delicious milkshake - it was one of his weaknesses. There was a lot he needed to do tonight - papers, some jobs, and other stuff, but he didn't really want to be working on all that just yet. He wanted to take a break, and hanging around at one of his favorite places to eat meant that he could calm down a bit, relax a little before he'd throw himself into his work like he always did. He scrolled through his phone as he sipped at the remnants of his milkshake, satisfied after eating his greasy meal.
However, his relaxation was interrupted by a man slipping into the booth across his. Wooseok looked up, brows furrowed as he inspected the other male - he looked a little older, maybe by a few years, and was quite... stiff. The boy couldn't really put his finger on it, but the man almost seemed out of place, as if he was slightly uncomfortable with the setting they were in. "Hi..." Wooseok trailed off, unsure of exactly why some random man had just approached him. He eyed the man's - Jimin's, apparently - hand before deciding to shake it, albeit not without giving him a suspicious look beforehand. "I'm Wooseok." He didn't really know what he was doing, or what Jimin was doing, but it never hurt to be polite, at least. The boy stared at him for a minute longer before shaking his head, brows furrowed in confusion. "I'm sorry, was there something you wanted?"
@charlie day following the obviously eager man into the establishment with the blinking neon 'open 24/h' sign, jamie didn't pay much mind to entering last. it was honestly preferred because who truly knew what lie inside the new place. as soon as they stepped in, boot touching the checkered floor, they were met with a strong, greasy smell. they wrinkled their nose but followed the man to the counter nonetheless. while the orders were being placed, the demon looked around at the diner's decor. it was gaudy, but there was hardly any time to place specific judgments as the human's attention had returned to them. "it's jamie," they corrected, stepping up to get onto the high seat. "anyway, what's in these milkshakes that you seem to love so much?"
@park jamie ♜ charlie eventually leads the other to the place that promised his glorious milkshakes, hand pushing open the glass door entrance to the diner before continuously walking in as he expects the other to follow after him. people would often beckon their friends to go in first, but charlie really didn't care. he just wanted his milkshake and he really just wanted to prove a point— which is that milkshakes are better than coffee any day. he proudly makes his way to the main bar counter and proceeds to take a seat on one of the stools before voicing out his order afterwards. once his two milkshakes were listed on a small notepadby one of the waitresses, the human whips his head over to look at the demon with a smile soon etching upon his lips. "c'mon and sit here with me, dude." charlie says, hand patting down the stool beside him.
@jung wooseok He knew he was getting closer to his assignment with each passing minute he spent weaving through the crowds of busy looking humans. He was on a mission, to find the main subject of his assignment and stick with them until he's completed it. He wasn't going to stop, although those strange devices most humans have on their hands does seem to pique his interest. Jimin shakes the thought from his head, he doesn't have the time of day right now to think about humans and their odd ways of living. Well, he does actually. One human, the main "subject" in particular, that is. He knows only the basics of this human such as their name, age, why Jimin's being sent, and that they're a college student, whatever that last part means.
He makes it to the front entrance of a building, taking in the brightly lit "We're Open" sign. He reaches out his hand to pull the glass doors open, listening to the chime of the bell. Jimin know's he's in the right place as he takes his surroundings in. His eyes scan the array of humans, some eating in peace while others look a bit more dead. But that doesn't matter as his eyes land on a certain human. Knowing well that that was the human he was assigned to. Jimin quickly makes his way then, noticing that he as well has a strange device on they table. He makes his way to the table, sitting on the plush seating across from the other as a small smile makes his way onto his lips. "Hello there. My name's Jimin." He introduced himself, hand reaching out across the table for a shake.
