@kim minsung ♖ It was finally upon him, the finest part of his day. Yes, the time when his shift had finally come to an end for the next two weeks, and today he could get back home to the love of his life—his warm and loving futon. After a quick trip to the convenience store for basic heat-and-eat foods and snacks, then a quick stop at the dollar store for a new watering pot, he very happily strides down the neighborhood to his apartment complex, blissfully ignorant of his surroundings. 'It's over, it's over, it's over!' he kept chanting in his head. No more living with his weird employers and coworkers, no more waking up at the asscrack of dawn because one of them would "gently persuade" him out of bed, no more WORKING!! Not even the "neighborhood hustler" he nicknamed Shady Sharon was able to garner his attention (read: trick him out of cash) with that in mind. No, no, no! Better days lied ahead for him! ...Well, the next 14 days, at least.
Now standing in the elevator of his apartment complex, (stupid) grin of utter peace on his face, he greets his mean old neighbor with a sweet and brief "Hello!" and they exit together. Ten even offers to him to his door so that he may get in safely, resulting in the old man calling him a "creepy homoual" and hitting him with his cane. Though in pain, Ten's spirit could not be broken! And as he shifted his messenger bag out of the way, as he set down his groceries to unlock the door, he takes a deep breath and pushes the door open... and in that moment, it was as if his whole world flipped on itself.
There was a mysterious figure inside his humble abode. Not only that, but they had wings... And a halo...
"Oh," is all he can utter, both mentally and physically. Immediately following it comes a mental string of the word "" and eventually a "...wow" that gets spoken, and for that minute, that was all he could really do or say. But just as quickly as he snapped in, he snapped out of it.
"You know, I heard from a coworker that this was happening," he states to the stranger simply as he gathers his belongings and steps inside, a much softer and ambiguous smile on his face while he removes his shoes and locks the door. "Naturally, you don't believe something like this happens until it happens to you, right?" Yes. That's always how it happens in the movies and shows, and knowing that, he'd expect himself to prepare for everything so there would be no surprises. But not only was he thinking he wasn't dressed for this occasion, donning sweats and a faded pullover hoodie with a small stain on it, he could have sworn he'd be getting a demon if the rumors were true. Momentary sadness and slight disappointment heaved out in a sigh, he sets his things atop his counter and clears his mind while adjusting his messenger bag again to dig in it, also approaching the stranger. "I just wanna know one thing right now..." Just one simple thing. One thing that would set the tone of their relationship from that moment on, and one thing so important he felt the need to remove his hand from his bag and place the gun once hidden inside it between the stranger's eyes.
"Do you promise to protect my babies and wipe my hard drive should I die in your presence?"
