@❍ cheng xiao ᵖʳᶦⁿᶜᵉˢˢ Although quite taken aback by the forwardness of the young woman in front of him Hyungsik was able to recover his senses rather quickly. He had to think for a moment, remembering that tonight he was going to be having dinner with his mother and father (to celebrate the coming of spring). Hyungsik supposed it wouldn't hurt to let the girl stay with them - it'd be much better anyways, than staying in Hyungsik's home where he lives by himself. "No need to apologize," he finally says, attempting to reassure the stranger while at the same time starting to wrap up his own stall. "Just give me a few minutes to pack up. You can stay at my parents house. It's just beyond the river, and we'll be having dinner tonight if you'd like to join us?"
Continuing to put his things together Hyungsik eventually had his pack ready, taking the leftover kill for their food tonight. It was only when he'd stepped out of his booth that he realized he didn't even know her name. A warm laugh left his mouth as he adjusted the straps over his shoulders and faced her. "I just remembered, I don't know your name. I'm Hyungsik, so, now we're not strangers." His smile is equally as warm and welcoming, and he gestures for her to follow him up the path that leads out of the market and into more of the village. "My parents have lived here their whole lives, so after you rest up they should be able to help you find your way, wherever you're going."
@❍ kim yohan ᵖʳᶦⁿᶜᵉ The difference between the underworld and the mortal realm when it comes to produce, there are barely anything to be distinguished. Perhaps there are more opportunities to find more naturals in the heaven and should be no sweat shed just to seek for the freshness. With Fen informing his fellow co-guards for his short dismissal just to travel in a land belonged to the mankind using the excuse of wanting to watch over the heavenly citizens below the ordinary portal. He does not lying about the fact. It was just not his main point.
He weaves through the crowds, edging through the dense flow of mortals mixed together with hidden identities. To come down and have some minutes to hours of wandering, he had never thought about taking it leisure yet why not giving himself a chance. The air is slightly polluted with multiple products from every smoky stalls, the ground is gritty stone and there is no irritating music except for chatters around. Their conversations turns blabbering, almost not understanding what they could have said. He does not even concerned with their talks and proceeds to search for certain stall of where he'd find some fresh fruits only to come across the one he has been wandering for. The sight of beautiful fruits attracts him to reach out and grab one of the unpeeled orange to have a smell recognition but later place it into a basket to claim one then his gaze switch to the grouped shiny red apples. "Maybe I could collect them more," he told himself before lifting up a bit of his robe sleeve, attempting to wrap his fingertips around the fragile red skinned.
@❍ park hyungsik ᶜᶦᵗᶦᶻᵉⁿ 'Sorry but I'm afraid that I don't know this place particularly well. Is it fine if I stay with you for a night and I'll be on my way back to my town?Only if it's fine, that is. It must be weird of me to just go up to you and asked you these questions. It is just you look friendlier compared to the others." Cheng xiao bows politely, her face clearly shows guilt because she felt terrible for tricking this young kind man into helping her. She looks around her and notices that most of the stalls are closing up,maybe it is because it's getting close to evening now. "I see that the market is especially lively during the day. How different it is from my own town." Cheng xiao told the male while giving a smile.
Cheng xiao rarely wants to stay outside because she knows how different it is from her own palace but she needs to escape from her reality once in awhile. Her father has been pestering her on getting proper etiquette lesson so she can greet all those kings from all the side, hoping that Cheng xiao can impress them so one of them will marry their son to Cheng xiao. It becomes worse when her mother starts to nag at her, telling her to stop all her shenanigans and start behaving like a proper princess. All she wants is to have her brothers back and spends her time with them, not by being alone most of the time since one of her brothers is a travelling prince, going around to make agreements for the country.
@❍ cheng xiao ᵖʳᶦⁿᶜᵉˢˢ "Thank you for your business Mr. Zhang. I hope you and your wife have a lovely dinner tonight." It's only been about an hour or two since the market began, and already Hyungsik has made quite a few sales. "May I suggest using an herb like this? It'll make the meat a lot more flavorful." While many may see his interactions with his customers as buttering them up, those who live in the village know that the man is merely talkative and welcoming. In fact, many of the older people who come up to his booth are there more for the conversation than the product itself. Hyungsik takes joy in entertaining them, asking them about their day and what they'll do. He knows that for a few of them it's the highlight of their day, since their sons and daughters have moved away from the village. Hyungsik himself has stayed because of his parents, and since there's no war he also didn't have to join the royal army.
Waving goodbye to his latest customer he once again washes his hands and tidies up his work space. He has one or two animals left before he runs out, which means he's doing rather well in sales today. Just as he finishes drying his hands with the extra fabric he keeps beneath the table he hears a soft voice above where he's kneeling. Looking up he comes face to face with a young woman he's never seen before. It's an interesting occurrence since Hyungsik even knows the faces of the the out-of-towners that frequent the market, but not her. "Hello," he greets, quickly standing up to his full height and giving the girl a warm smile. "I think I can, depending on where you're headed. Anywhere in particular?"
@❍ park hyungsik ᶜᶦᵗᶦᶻᵉⁿ It was late afternoon and cheng xiao just sat in the palace’s great hall, listening to her father and the other ministers discussing about their economics and the poverty at the Northern side of the country. She yawned softly, completely uninterested in their discussion because the queen had forced her to stay there so she could at least learn to be polite towards the other ministers and visiting guests. Soon when the higher officials left, the king started to nag about how lazy she was and her needing to change her attitude because once she was of age,she will need to marry the neighbouring country’s prince. That’s why she sometimes hate herself for being a princess because she needs to get marry to someone that she doesn’t even know or love.
After listening to her father’s words, she just hummed in reply before excusing herself and going back into her room, quickly changing into her disguise outfit as a commoner. Cheng xiao loved to sneak out of the palace just to head to the market so she can be as free as how she would like it. She quietly went to the back palace’s small gate and slipped out of there. Ever since her parents found out about her constantly sneaking out, they have make sure to put guards almost at all the main entrance except for the back ones because they did not expect her to find it. Once she was safely out of the palace, she happily skipped to the market where the buzz of people always made her excited. She was walking along the street till she saw a familiar kind face so she went closer to him. “Good afternoon there. I was travelling from the other side of the town and it appears that i might be lost. Can you please help?” She lied to Hyungsik while pulling off her best pity look.
@❍ cheng xiao ᵖʳᶦⁿᶜᵉˢˢ Very early in the morning, before the sun had even broken over the horizon, Hyungsik had gotten out of bed and dressed in his hunting gear. It just consisted of plain clothes, with a homemade chest plate of wood and some gauntlets made with the same material. His father had taught him how to make it at a young age when he was old enough to learn. After strapping his bow to his back and tying his shoes Hyungsik had ventured into the forest along with the first rays of sunshine.
He returned to the village a few hours later, and was now setting up his stall in the market. Although he did not have a horse or fancy weapons he was able to secure quite a bit of game - at least, what he could carry. Various small animals hung from the side of his booth as he prepared his utensils to cut and package the meat. He also had a small amount of plants laid out before him, medicinal herbs and such that he'd been taught to find by his mother. It would help to make a little extra money. For now he would busy himself preparing for customers.
